Jackie
Good morning, girlies. It's the Toast. It's Jackson Claude and we're your host.
Claudia
It's your favorite show, the best five things you need to know. We'll start your day off Swirly. It's the Toast.
Jackie
They sound amazing.
Claudia
Welcome back to the Toast and Happy Tuesday. Yeah. You're listening to the podcast of, like, the most interesting girl on the planet.
Jackie
Claudia's in the news today. You are in the stories. You are the stories.
Claudia
I do. I have, like a different energy. I hate this phrase, but I do feel like I have main character energy right now. Like, do you feel like everyone's talking about me? I feel like it's my birthday. The amount of people, like, blowing up my DMs and my texts.
Jackie
I feel like I don't even know how many people are talking about you. And we'll get into it because I saw you in Page Six this morning and I've been seeing you in my algorithm from accounts. I don't follow. Talking about influencer Claudia being body shamed by the new Real Housewife. Yeah, it's such drama.
Claudia
Okay, I don't want to spoil it, but, like, I did make some news yesterday. I posted a Tick Tock. There was a lot of news in the Bravo universe and, like, it kind of had to do with me. So I spoke my truth. People were interested in my truth and hearing it. And we'll talk if you aren't on Tick Tock. I did post it on Tick Tock because I was like, you know, giving it to the real fans first. And so I will tell the whole story from the beginning, but I don't want to talk about that right now. I just want to say, like, yes, you are listening to the podcast of, like, the girl in the news.
Jackie
And we will talk about the things, you know, we're not gonna skirt around
Claudia
it and like, how I'm feeling.
Jackie
Yeah, no, I will, like, one of
Claudia
my, like my high school bullies, like
Jackie
a 10 year long bullying campaign is becoming famous. I'm really excited to talk about. I really need to dig into this, get. Sink my teeth into it and sort of try and wrap my head around, like, what's going on here.
Claudia
Yeah. And I feel like a lot of people are gonna be surprised at my take.
Jackie
I think we're gonna wind up giving Grace.
Claudia
Like, no, I'm not gonna give Grace. Like, you'll see.
Jackie
You're gonna forgive her.
Claudia
Let's not spoil.
Jackie
Okay.
Claudia
We have so much to do today.
Jackie
I feel like you're gonna forgive her.
Claudia
Um, sort Of. You'll see.
Jackie
We'll see what? We'll see where the conversation goes. But yes.
Claudia
And I just want to say I'm forgiving someone who has not apologized. No, no, no. We'll talk about it. We'll talk about it. Let's talk about you.
Jackie
Me? How are you? I'm good.
Claudia
The sister of the most famous girl in the world.
Jackie
I know Olivia's doing major things in the advertising industry.
Claudia
She actually is.
Jackie
And Satchel.
Claudia
Don't get me started on that.
Jackie
Don't get me started on Satchel. I actually conversed with Satchel a lot yesterday because we did redheads.
Claudia
Oh, wow.
Jackie
We recorded redheads. It was a great, fantastic episode. So many changes are like a brew at the redheads. Every episode is sort of like rejiggering the format, sort of like when they invented the Internet. And, like, everything was just, like, new and different, and there was no format. That's sort of like redheads right now were changing everything up. It's amazing. It's a very exciting time to be a part of the community.
Claudia
I agree. And how about the gals?
Jackie
The gals were great. The book was fun. Lots of human bomber talk. Margo also shared at the end of the episode that she didn't know that she didn't know. And I don't know why I expect why that she would.
Claudia
And you know what? I'm glad we clipped that moment yesterday, because the comments did make me feel less alone. Like, I like to pride myself on, like, being a decently smart person. Like, I know what goes on in the world. I don't, like, walk around with, like, my head always up my ass. And so I did feel, like, a little bit of shame that I didn't know who that was, but shout out to my fellow zillennials, Excuse me.
Jackie
You've heard of him, right?
Claudia
From you, Like, I've heard the word Unabomber.
Jackie
And the red light thing right now.
Claudia
What's that?
Jackie
I told you about this once, and we were talking about it on the episode, but it was also in the show manhunt. Like, you know, the munobottom was, like, a crazy individual. Like, however, like, there are, like, small
Claudia
parts of his manifesto, you know, like, technology.
Jackie
We should be wary.
Claudia
Right, Right.
Jackie
Doesn't mean we should kill people. But, like, you know, limit your screen time.
Claudia
Of course.
Jackie
Of course.
Claudia
I want to say, like, Jonathan Haidt is kind of the Unabomber of our time.
Jackie
Well, that's what I said in the show. I was like, that's, like, a nice medium of, like, you know, you can
Claudia
have, like, radical thoughts on anything. You just can't kill people who disagree with you.
Jackie
But also, it's like, you can't stop. Stop progress. You can't stop technology. You're supposed to live in the Stone Age forever. No, that's not good. But parameters.
Claudia
What's red light Boundaries.
Jackie
Okay, so in the show, like, one of his things, it's like when you're at a red light and there's no cars.
Claudia
Yes. Oh, my God. I love this.
Jackie
Either which way? No, don't. I feel bad loving it because it's like a Unabomber theory. But, like, when there's no cars coming any which way, and it's like, you don't go because there's a red light telling you not to go. And, like, you could just go.
Claudia
Yeah, but that's what separates, like, man from monster.
Jackie
Yeah. And that's what's like being a civilian in a civic society.
Claudia
That's always what I think when I'm driving. When I'm not driving my best. It's like, I know that the other people around me also don't want to get an accident. So even if I'm wrong, like, they're going to get out of my way.
Jackie
No, but that's not what this is. This is like, there's no reason why you can't go other than just, like, a red light telling you the law. But in this moment, like, you could technically go. I mean, I would never. And I don't. But when I'm like, there, and I'm like, I could go, but I'm not because of this, like, red light.
Claudia
What does that have to do with the Unabomber?
Jackie
That was, like, something that he was, like, saying in the show, you know, why are you staying at the red light when you can just go like, he's anti government, anti law.
Claudia
Got it, got it, got it, got it, got it.
Jackie
And actually, in the show, the guy
Claudia
who is investigating, who plays the Unabomber in the show. Oh, someone like that we know. Like, someone famous.
Jackie
He looked more like him. Hold on. Unabomber. Manheim Unabomber.
Claudia
Cameron Grant. No.
Jackie
So I don't think we know him.
Claudia
Okay.
Jackie
Oh, Richard Jewell. Remember him?
Claudia
No. Yes, you do. I'm on IMDb. Give me a second.
Jackie
Paul Bettany.
Claudia
Oh, my God.
Jackie
I forgot about Richard Jewel. I'm just.
Claudia
Who's Richard Jewel? Show me.
Jackie
How do you remember that?
Claudia
With the Chris Knoth is in manhunt. It's kind of crazy.
Jackie
There's a couple different iterations of manhunt. Claudia, remember the movie Richard Jewel?
Claudia
No.
Jackie
Yes, you do it.
Claudia
Maybe. I think if you think that if you keep saying it, I'll remember, but I don't.
Jackie
You will. Claudia, can you show me? Yes. Yes. Remember, he got like.
Claudia
Of course. Richard Jewel. What was the story again?
Jackie
Well, they thought that he planted the bomb at the Olympics in.
Claudia
In Georgia and it was just a
Jackie
guy and it wasn't him.
Claudia
Yeah.
Jackie
And his whole life was turned upside down.
Claudia
Richard Jewel. Those are the times kind of stories. Like, I love. Not obviously that that happened to him, but like these random niche.
Jackie
Yeah. Oh, my God. So, yeah, Richard Jewel is like, associated with the bomber. As in just like.
Claudia
Just like crazy times. Yeah. Anyways, the redheads are doing well.
Jackie
Redheads are doing well. Oh, but just to finish my thought, in the show, the guy who's like, investigating the man, the Unabomber, like, sort of starts to, like, take on his beliefs. Beliefs a little bit. By the end, like, he's living out in the woods and that's just like Hollywood, like.
Claudia
Cause that definitely didn't happen.
Jackie
Neuronic.
Claudia
Yeah. That's moronic.
Jackie
Yeah.
Claudia
I watched a Real Housewives of. Oh, I did something crazy last night.
Jackie
Crack.
Claudia
Crazier.
Jackie
Matt.
Claudia
I caught up on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and then I watched Watch what Happens Live, which was like such a lackluster episode with, like, with Amanda Francis, which was crazy because she actually wasn't in this week's episode of.
Jackie
They obviously just didn't program that.
Claudia
Yeah. And then Gold Nessa, because it was the finale of Shaws and like, the two of them are so polar opposite. And even though, like, Amanda wasn't on the episode of Beverly Hills, it was her first time. I watched Happens Live and like, she's kind of this interesting character. So there was, like a lot of attention being patron. I feel like Gigi was, like, hating that because she kept, like, talking about Amanda's questions. But I will say it was kind of a good showing for Amanda Francis. Like, she's still, like, nutty and whatever, but she dressed very head on like that. People say her business is a scam. And like, all the things we kind of think about her and like how she walks into the room, purse first. You know, I have sunscreen in my Chanel backpack. Oh, I have that bag. And she was like, I'm sorry. I thought that's what we were doing. Like, this is a show about affluent women and like, these women do it all the time. Like every time they're on tv. It's like, they show how much their purse costs. So I don't know. It was kind of a good showing for her.
Jackie
Like, they're more subtle about it, though.
Claudia
Yeah, of course. She's just, like, tacky by nature. It was just like, a weird episode of Watch Weapons Live, but I kind of liked it. Oh, and then my favorites were bartending. It was such a crazy episode.
Jackie
Who was that guy?
Claudia
A twink and a redhead. You know their song? No.
Jackie
The redheaded girl saw his Instagram post. He said that he accidentally, like, insulted Amanda.
Claudia
Did he?
Jackie
Yeah.
Claudia
He didn't even talk. Like, Andy never gives the bartenders a minute to speak, but he gave them a particularly small amount.
Jackie
I didn't realize this happened last night. I saw it this morning. He. When Andy.
Claudia
This wasn't from last night. This from last week.
Jackie
Okay, so from last week, when Andy threw to the bartenders, they were like, what do you think about Amanda? And the redhead's like, love you, whatever. And. And he's like, I've been seeing all the comments, but I think you're great. And he. He, like, came on and she was insulted. She, like, turned around. He was like, I didn't mean to clog her like that. I don't even know her.
Claudia
No. And it's crazy because they got three seconds of airtime, and, like, you said sorry. Like, no, funny. And I really like that they make, like, funny, you know, TikTok content. I feel like I've sent it to you before. So, yeah, watch. Watch Diamonds Live. I felt like that was really crazy of me. Ben was out, so, like, I had nothing to do.
Jackie
I always like to watch. Watch what Happens Live. It's a little more subject material on the subject.
Claudia
Yes, exactly. Contextualizing the context.
Jackie
Y. Tertiary sources.
Claudia
Yes. And I prefer primary sources, obviously, in the MLA format.
Jackie
Yes, of course.
Claudia
And did you give me. Do you write your bibliography today, or are you gonna give it to me tomorrow?
Jackie
It's pending.
Claudia
I am so glad I never have to write another fucking bibliography. Like, those were some of the, like, the lowest points of my entire life.
Jackie
He's like, an extra page. Like, maybe we can make it go longer.
Claudia
No, but, like, they knew in hindsight,
Jackie
like, why was it so hard? There's a format. You book, you put in the format.
Claudia
I know we struggle because I feel like the bibliography, like, you. Because I was never one who, like, wrote amazing essays. I feel like if you looked at my bibliography, like, you could. It was kind of like a window into, like, how little I cared, like, and how bad the essay truly was. Like, you can hide, but, like, the bibliography shows facts.
Jackie
Understood. But you need to just, like, get a random text, take one piece of information and cite it. And, like, for a couple of random texts. And even though you got your whole paper from, like, one book, of course you have a bunch of random text.
Claudia
And I just don't feel like getting so lost in the minutiae of, like, the MLA formatted bibliography really prepared me for life in any meaningful way.
Jackie
What about J Store? Remind me, like, where you would go and read, like, PDFs, like, J store. Do you remember? Yeah, and. Yeah, and you would just read, like, somebody's work.
Claudia
Like I said, some of the worst fucking times of my life, like, lowest points of my life was, like, midnight the night before a paper was due. Like, just getting the bibliography together. I've chilled just thinking about it.
Jackie
Reading is on J Store.
Claudia
Yeah, good luck with that. I don't even think I had an account, you know? Like, I was not participating in the readings.
Jackie
What does J Store stand for?
Claudia
Just seriously kill me now.
Jackie
Like, I don't know.
Claudia
I just feel like I'm doing really well in life for, like, never having done a proper bibliography. Like, I was always losing points on the bibliography, you know?
Jackie
Yeah. I feel like the bibliography wasn't my favorite, but it wasn't my least favorite.
Claudia
Well, the bibliography, like, when you got to that point, like, it was the
Jackie
beginning of the end and it's like, okay, I just have to plug in names and numbers. Like. Like, I don't have to think, but
Claudia
I was somehow always doing it wrong.
Jackie
Yeah. Yeah. Well, now I'm sure. Yeah, Plug in my bibliography. Dot com. No Chat probably has its own format that would give you away in two seconds.
Claudia
Yeah. Like I said, sometimes when I'm like. Like, can't sleep or whatever, I do think about, like, the fact that I'm so grateful I never have to go to school again. Like, school was really just, like, the worst.
Jackie
Like, homework, paper, sleep, and you're back at school. I have.
Claudia
I know.
Jackie
I have so many dreams that I forgot that I didn't take four classes this semester.
Claudia
Okay. Yeah.
Jackie
My dream. I'm not even able to graduate on time.
Claudia
Yeah. My dream is that, like, I signed up for a class in college and, like, I went to the first couple of. Yeah. Yeah, Okay. I went to the first couple of sessions and then, like, forgot all about it. No, No, I don't remember if I dropped it, if I stayed in. Did I ever graduate because of that one class?
Jackie
No. And I never went back. Some of it it's like I dropped it. But I never picked up another class. So I will be one credit short. And some of it is I never went to class ever again. Did I. Do they even count me anymore because of my.
Claudia
Did I submit any?
Jackie
And how am I ever going to
Claudia
pass the final 1000?
Jackie
Do I even have to take the final?
Claudia
Those are the fudgeing worse.
Jackie
And it's like did I ever even do that? That that's in my subconscious where I
Claudia
like drop a class, you mean?
Jackie
Yeah, like no, no.
Claudia
And then watching Tell me Lies like didn't help. It just like brought all those feelings back. I was having dreams a lot.
Jackie
Yeah, no, but that's recurring but for everyone too. And I don't know what you know.
Claudia
That's like a universal.
Jackie
I wonder like, if you didn't go to college, do you have that dream?
Claudia
You have it about high school or like whatever your most recent schooling system was, you think?
Jackie
I don't know.
Claudia
Sound off in the comments like a
Jackie
reason to not go to college just
Claudia

Claudia
You're welcome.
Jackie
Our first story. New Roni cast members have been revealed. Part one of her story. So Real Houses of New York and Bravo announced yesterday the new cast members for the new season of Real Housewives of New York. Some familiar names, including Aaron, Leechy, Jessel, Tank. We know. We know Jessel very well here. Of course, I'm sitting next to her. And Cy Da Silva.
Claudia
So it seems like everyone else from previous casts, like, has been. Uba's gone. Jenna Lyons is gone. I forget who. I don't even know. Oh, Rebecca Minkoff. Okay, so it's just these three girls from the original reboot cast.
Jackie
Okay. And then they've added Erica Hammond, who is a celebrity fitness trainer and friend of Claudia's.
Claudia
She's a great casting. She's very pretty. She's very wealthy. Her husband. Oh, they're one of our sponsors. Built. Yeah, Built Rewards. It's like the rewards company that gives you points for paying rent. He started that company, actually. He's one of Ben's really good friends. They're, like, a very interesting couple. They're, like, very well traveled. They're very, very wealthy. And she has, like, such an interesting background. She's one of the co founders of Rumble, like, the popular boxing, and she used to be in the wwe. So, like, that's the type of gal we want to see. Like, it's literally a perfect casting. And I knew she was gonna be on the show. I found out a couple of months ago, and I thought, you know what? Hope reigns eternal. Like.
Jackie
Oh, you knew that?
Claudia
I did know that. And I thought it was really a perfect casting.
Jackie
I didn't know that was happening.
Claudia
When they. When we talk about Real Housewives of New York, we're always talking about affluent women, interesting women, and I thought, great, maybe her and of her, like, wealthy friends will be. And it seems like they got it right with Erica, and I genuinely don't know where they went with the rest of them.
Jackie
So then the other lady is Daisy Toy, who's a celebrity makeup artist. I think she does Martha.
Claudia
Martha Stewart.
Jackie
And then Hayley Glassman, who is a public relations professional.
Claudia
And I think her, like, claim to fame is that she used to date Jon Gosselin.
Jackie
Oh, yeah. She Ex wife, I think.
Claudia
Oh, really?
Jackie
I don't know. I thought I saw ex wife.
Claudia
I thought it was girlfriend. Whatever. Ex girlfriend. I was so confused. I feel like the Roni reboot, like, really got it wrong, like, from the start. And, yeah, from The. And they kind of refused to acknowledge that. So I think people have been saying for years, like, please boil down the original cast to Jessel, Aaron and Cy. Like, those were the three who were most liked. And so they finally, like, listened to the fans a little bit. I don't know why they had to, like, go so random and also, like, so all over the place. Right? Because like I said, Erica's the perfect person for this. Why is she on the same show as John Goslin's ex girlfriend? Like, yeah, I'm so confused. Like, I'm so confused. But then, like, obviously to make everything about myself, I. I had known Erica and then I was curious. I didn't know the other two people. And so I was like doing a deep dive. And when I saw. I literally saw it on Dumois before they announced it said Hayley Glassman. And I was like, that name sounds so familiar. Like, I saw it. It didn't sound familiar. It looked familiar. Like, I'd seen that name before. I was like, who the. Why do I know this name? Went to her Instagram and I was like, oh, wait, I think I know. So I went to our messages and I was like, yes. You know, we have people who like, troll us professionally and, like, we know their names. That girl Megan. Like, yeah.
Jackie
And there's not that many that I book. Yeah, there are a couple names that I'm like, this one's trouble.
Claudia
Yes. And I was like, oh, my God, yes. I scroll up. We must have like, well, not we. She has messaged me probably like 50 times since 2017. And the crazy thing is I noticed she unfollowed me before I made my TikTok or anything. So, like, she.
Jackie
She's done with you.
Claudia
She's done with me.
Jackie
She's been a long time fan and
Claudia
she's always, like, trolling me. She's making mostly about my weight. She's clearly like one of these, like, just weight obsessed people. She was always commenting on my weight. I think her family owns a plastic surgery company.
Jackie
Like, yeah, they must. Because she was hashtagging Glassman Plastic Surgery in the dm.
Claudia
She was sending me messages being like, why you've lost a lot of weight when you need a neck lift. I'll. I'll find the right doctor for you. I'm like, oh, my God. Okay. She was calling Ben fat. Like, her DMs to me over the course. And some of them are also really nice being, like, so happy for you when I got pregnant, which is true, like, crazy fan troll behavior. Like, your biggest trolls are your biggest fans and your biggest haters. So, like, that's always, like, very a trope. Like, when you respond to, like, a hater who's, like, calling you ugly. You were like, excuse me? And they're like, oh, my God, I'm so sorry. I love you so much. It's like a real ment disease where, like, you're obsessed with this person in both positive and negative, extreme ways. So I was like, how is this person a Real Housewife? Like, you've been trolling me for almost 10 years. Like, I don't even know what to call it. Like, because is she a fan or is she a hater? Like, I couldn't put it together.
Jackie
She's like, a bit of both. Like, really a bit of both.
Claudia
And it was reminding me of Monica from Salt Lake City. Like, a crazy Internet troll becoming a housewife.
Jackie
Yeah.
Claudia
And I was so honestly obsessed. So I'm not going to lie. Like, not this, like, being about me
Jackie
having to do with you, of course,
Claudia
made a TikTok about it. I wasn't sure if people were going to care, like, at all. And the TikTok blew up. It's everywhere.
Jackie
I just think that's really crazy because for a Real Housewife, like, you expect that it's like, a dignified individual who's hopefully too busy to even be in behavior like this. That's not what we expect from Real Housewives. Like, of course it's supposed to be.
Claudia
It's. We always say it's like a very. Why can I never remember this word?
Jackie
Aspirational.
Claudia
Thank you. It's supposed to be an aspirational show about women who are successful, women who are wealthy, women who are fabulous, and women who we would like to be. Now, obviously, the show has, like, taken a turn in recent years where it's very just, like, reality tv. So I feel a little conflicted because while, like, you know, this is not the Real Housewives I grew up with, in this day and age, like, the crazier you are, the better TV you make. And, like, a really crazy, deranged person is what it takes to, like, be a professional troll for almost a decade that I kind of feel like she's gonna be amazing on the show.
Jackie
Maybe because, like, those DMS were, like, wild. They speak to, like, some sort of wacky personality that might make for good tv.
Claudia
And when we think about, like, the greats in terms of, like, the last, you know, amazing season, like, we think of, like, the Ashley Jacobs. Like, that was crazy times, like, you think of, like, it's really crazy people.
Jackie
I don't consider Ashley Jacobs one of the greats, I think, but that was
Claudia
such a fun time.
Jackie
I don't know. It was really dark.
Claudia
It was dark, actually. You're right.
Jackie
It was really dark.
Claudia
I don't know, I just think, like, in order to be, like, a successful reality TV villain, you have to be, like, a legitimate crazy person.
Jackie
And I think they might sound one in her.
Claudia
Yeah. So people are, like, leaving.
Jackie
My people are willing to just, like, not look so amazing all the time.
Claudia
People who have nothing to lose.
Jackie
Yeah. And.
Claudia
But.
Jackie
But not that they're putting it on. Like, oh, I don't care how I look, I'm gonna be the villain. It's like, they seriously can't help themselves.
Claudia
Correct. Like, very Tom Sandoval, very narcissistic. So a lot of my. Almost all my comments are, like, flooded. Like, bravo. Like, fire her. I just want to say I do not want her to be fired. Like, this franchise is so random and weird. Like, sure, throw in a crazy person. Like, maybe that's just the thing they've been missing. Maybe everyone. Maybe everyone they've cast have been, like, a little too sound of mine.
Jackie
Yeah. And safe. And nobody wants to, like, ruin their lives.
Claudia
So I wasn't making the TikTok, like, calling for her to be fired. I just want to say, like, please don't fire her. Like, she's sounds kind of interesting.
Jackie
Like, sounds perfect.
Claudia
Yeah. Because, like, it's not. Like, it's this perfect cast already. Like, I don't know what's going on with the franchise and why they kind of refuse to call it, but sure, let's throw a crazy person in there.
Jackie
Yeah, I agree. I don't think she needs to be fired.
Claudia
No, don't fire her.
Jackie
I wonder if she'll reach out to you.
Claudia
Oh, sorry. She blocked me. She blocked the toast. She blocked my, like, personal Instagram club.
Jackie
I mean, I understand. Imagine she's having, like, a big day yesterday. And, like. But the thing is, like, she's. She's just.
Claudia
You should have just owned it.
Jackie
You just, like, told everyone who she is. Like, it's not even. Like, she did something that, like, once that was like, ooh, yeah.
Claudia
No, and I just want to say, like, I forgive you, even though you haven't apologized.
Jackie
Like, you understand.
Claudia
Yeah, no, no, I wasn't. I actually really do not want her to be fired. I don't think she's going to be, but I don't want her to be.
Jackie
Yeah, no, no.
Claudia
And now. Because, like, now I'm honestly intrigued.
Jackie
Yeah. Oh, and the other part of the story is that Carol Radswell.
Claudia
So they announced Carol coming back as a friend of Roni Legacy before they announced the cast. So I was like, oh, one of the new girls must be a friend of Carol. No. What the hell is she doing on this show?
Jackie
I don't know. And I heard that she, like, sued Ryan Murphy into not using her name in Love Story. That's why she's not in it at all.
Claudia
Oh, interesting. Although I will say Ryan Murphy doesn't give a fuck. Did you see what he said about Jack Schlossberg?
Jackie
No.
Claudia
Jack Schlossberg's, like, you know, doing, like,
Jackie
Jack Schlossberg is talking shit about the show.
Claudia
Well, so it pre. It's. Jack Chasper just did a big interview, which is why this is coming back. But when the show was announced and those paparazzi pictures got leaked, he was like, this is my family, real people. And Ryan Murphy was asked about it on a podcast, and he was like, I don't really care what this person thinks. Like, he never even met John F. Kennedy, Jr. And now, yes, Shosberg was really young. It's kind of a crazy fucking thing for Ryan to say, but Ryan doesn't give a fuck. That's what I mean. So I doubt he could be intimidated by Carol Radzell, like, just saying, yeah, he wasn't intimidated by an actual Kennedy.
Jackie
I don't think people are intimidated by Jack. I think that's, like, an easy one to go after.
Claudia
Yes. I just want to say, like, Jack Schostberg's pissing me off because, like, he's doing all this press about how bad the Kennedy show is, and it's mean and yada, yada. And it's like, sure, well, maybe Ryan Murphy, like, could have spoken to more Kennedys about it, like, involve them more, but he's really, like, riding the coattails of this Kennedy resurgence. Like, he has this, like. Like. Like, campaign for Congress, and he's, like, living it up, dressing like jfk, doing events like JFK junior And the only reason people care, again, is because of this show. So, like, you're knocking it so much when you're benefiting so greatly from it. Like, why don't you just, like, quiet.
Jackie
Yeah, I'm not paying that much attention, but I do feel like. And I have to watch more episodes, but I don't know. I do feel like they don't know the first thing about those two, because I'm sorry. Like, the more I think about the fight in the park. You're well into your 30s, you've been a public figure your entire life, and you're fighting with your girlfriend, the love of your life, physically in the park.
Claudia
Yeah.
Jackie
That's a crazy person.
Claudia
Yeah. And that's what I feel like. Carolyn specifically was so private. Like, there's only, like, two on record interviews, and they're 30 seconds long. She's just, like, being paparazzi. Nobody really knows her personality, so it's. We're just sort of making it up as we go. There's, like, a couple of biographies written about her, and they all say conflicting things, mind you. So, like, nobody knows her. And the version of JFK that we know is like the presidential polished press version. That's not who he really was. So we're just sort of guessing and, like, fictionalizing, which.
Jackie
Okay, sure. But I do feel like this will be the record, what's on record about who they were. And if we don't know, it's kind of crazy to just put that out there and say, this is who they were. It's kind of like how the crown represents the royal family. And I feel like they did a pretty good job, but that's how we think of them.
Claudia
There's so much source material on the royals. There's nothing.
Jackie
No. And so I think they did a pretty good job portraying everyone given, like, you know, they are an enigma. But here it's like, I don't know, not saying you shouldn't have made the show, but.
Claudia
No. And back to Carol. What is she doing on the show?
Jackie
Oh, I don't know.
Claudia
As far as I know, she's not really friendly with any of the women. Oh.
Jackie
And I do think beyond Roni New, but she won't be on Love Story,
Claudia
and I was shook at the comments. People really hate Carol. They call her car Carol Epstein.
Jackie
Oh, also.
Claudia
Yeah. Yeah. She's like a.
Jackie
Like a Glenn's bff.
Claudia
Yeah. So it's not only does her casting make no sense, it's sort of like a controversial thing for them to have done. For what? Like, for what purpose?
Jackie
Yeah, it doesn't even make sense about that as well.
Claudia
She's very heavily. Like, she. There's a lot of.
Jackie
She's heavily mentioned in the episode files
Claudia
in regards to Ghislaine.
Jackie
Yeah.
Claudia
Like, Elaine is her girl. There's a lot of emails of her and Elaine being like, I love you so much. Like, that's your girl. Yeah. It's a really crazy casting, given that
Jackie
I Had a best friend, and they were, like, involved in human trafficking, that I could sniff that out.
Claudia
So Carol's a really crazy casting, given that and given the fact that she has no known ties to this cast.
Jackie
Yeah, no, it's really. But forget known ties. Like, she's downtown and, like, she could throw herself in the mix, whatever. And I'm sure she's glad it's not like, Bethany and the ladies who, like, don't like her anymore. Epstein, I'm sorry.
Claudia
It's really crazy.
Jackie
Missed the whole point.
Claudia
Yeah. So this was such a weird announcement. I don't know. I don't watch your Only Legacy, so I don't feel like I have, like, a leg to stand on in terms of how the cast. So if you are, like, if you watch a show, like, what do you think?
Jackie
Right. I don't feel like I. I don't
Claudia
know what's right for the show.
Jackie
Newbies, Like, I don't know what's right for the show either. I can't help you guys. Like, you can't help yourselves.
Claudia
Yeah. Everyone's like, bring Jenna Lyons back. I don't know.
Jackie
This is where I leave you again, you know?
Claudia
Yeah. And it feels like in the last two, three years, they've been obsessed with getting people with names. Right? Like Janet Lyons, who contributed nothing but was a name. Rebecca Minkoff contributed nothing but a big name. So now they're going, like, maybe like, the opposite. Like, names that you don't know. Sort of like Jon Goslin's ex girlfriend.
Jackie
Yeah. But crazy, because Rebecca Minkoff doesn't want to tarnish her brand.
Claudia
Right.
Jackie
And she shouldn't.
Claudia
Even though I want to say Rachel Zoe is proving like, you can be a big wig, a big name, and contribute to a show in a really meaningful way. Yeah.
Jackie
But you have to be. It's. It's a special walk.
Claudia
Yeah, agreed.
Jackie
And are you gonna be on the show now with drama?
Claudia
No, I'm not.
Jackie
What if they called you in and said, we, like, we heard you and we want you on the show?
Claudia
An idea was floated to me about, like, a dinner, and I said, no. Like, I. First of all, all I do is sit on this podcast, talk about how bad the show is, and then I'm like, yeah, go on it. I really have no desire to be on, like, a Bravo show, so.
Jackie
Okay, what if. Okay, what if they seriously. Not just a dinner, what they said to you, like, full cast member.
Claudia
No. Oh, my God, that's worse. No, I really don't. I really don't want to Be okay. Like, I think whenever I, like, read the comments of, like, a Bravo Liberties Instagram, I'm like, oh, my God.
Jackie
Yeah, you don't want to put yourself in that world.
Claudia
There's very high highs when it comes to being a Bravo Liberty. But, like, seriously, it's a very impassioned fan base, and, like, that comes with both positives and negatives, and I seriously want a part of it. I'm really happy on my corner of the Internet.
Jackie
Also, I imagine you would not ever do reality tv, but if you were, it certainly wouldn't be Rony.
Claudia
No. And if it was going to be Roni, like, I'd have to move to Beverly Hills. You know what I mean? Like, of all the franchises, it's not going to be New York. What do they call that one? Reboot. Legacy. I keep calling it Legacy, but that's the old one.
Jackie
Yeah, everything's OG Legacy. Yeah.
Claudia
What's the new one?
Jackie
New Roni Rooney reboot.
Claudia
Okay. So, yeah, it wouldn't be that Indiana.
Jackie
Okay, well, let the games begin. This is all good for Roni. Reboot.
Claudia
It is.
Jackie
Our next story. Alex Earl is sobbing over Taylor Swift song after seeing Braxton for the first time since their breakup. So Alex posted a TikTok of herself sobbing in reaction to a fan's comment about her video last week in which she spoke about seeing Braxton for the first time since their breakup last year. In the original video, she admitted it was really hard and really weird to see him again. She said, I was really emotional the first night. We were, like, in the same place, but we didn't say hi to each other just because I didn't want to, like, go up and annoy him. I don't know. Instead, they eventually, briefly greeted one another on the second night of the event. It's weird when you go from someone being, like, your best friend to being a stranger in the corner of the room. So that was tough. And by tough, I mean terrible.
Claudia
Yeah. I just want to say this is gonna be, like, an annoying thing to say, but I've never, like, experienced a breakup. Like, it's so crazy. Like, especially, like, if you're in, like, the same friend group. Like, this is a person who, like,
Jackie
was she, like, your best?
Claudia
You're like your husband. Like, you live together.
Jackie
Like, told everything to, like, couldn't have a thought without sharing it with them, and now they are a stranger.
Claudia
That's really crazy.
Jackie
It is.
Claudia
I appreciate her sharing this. And, like, what if you just got back together?
Jackie
Right. It seems like she didn't just, like, dump him for greener pastures.
Claudia
Right. Or if she did, she might be, like, regretting it.
Jackie
I don't think she did. I wonder what happened. I also. You know what? I watched a little bit of yesterday. Very, very young and on trend of me.
Claudia
Oh, my God. What? Her YouTube? Yeah, it's good.
Jackie
The new hot mess. What's it called? Get Ready with Me. Get on.
Claudia
Oh. Oh, you mean her, like, podcast show?
Jackie
Her podcast show.
Claudia
Which one did you watch? Sassy.
Jackie
Sassy, yeah. And she was saying that she had a really cute conversation because she was saying that, you know, she was admiring Sassy's brown hair and how she's, like, thought of, you know, eventually going on that journey for herself. And Sassy was like, you should. And she was like, I can't right now because I'm seeing my ex next week. And so if it doesn't look good, like, I don't want to see him like that.
Claudia
That's so funny.
Jackie
But maybe now that she's done seeing him, she'll dye her hair.
Claudia
I talk about this with Danielle Carolan when she was on the podcast because she shared that she's not a natural blonde. And I was shocked to hear that. There is a pipeline of, like, successful women who have been, like, blonde most of their life realizing, like, that they were always meant to be their natural hair color, which is brown. I feel like Stassi's having that journey right now. I think a great example of it is Danielle Bernstein, who was, like, bleach blonde for many years, and now we look back, we're like, what the hell was she thinking? Like, her hair is so meant to be the color that it is now. And I wonder if that'll happen with Alex Earle. It's one of my favorite arcs.
Jackie
Like, it happened with Sally Carson on Southern Charm. First season, she was blonde, and then she discovered she's a winter, and she looks amazing. I think people.
Claudia
And then we did face app on Danielle Caroline, and we made her brunette. And actually, I don't think she should go brunette.
Jackie
No, I like her as a blonde. But then if she went brunette, I'd also say this is great. But I also think, like, you can be blonde for a time and then go back to your roots. Like, I think Stassi being a blonde in the early days of Anna Prom rules, like, necessary.
Claudia
Yeah. And when you are, like, really young, like, the phrase blondes have more fun. I don't think it's that. I think it's that, like, you are special. Like, you're the blonde girl. You're the girl who took a chance, you know?
Jackie
Yeah.
Claudia
Who put herself out there creatively.
Jackie
Yeah. So maybe that's next for Alex. I could actually see that. But also, like, get back together with Braxton if it hurts so bad.
Claudia
I know. Like. Like, I don't know what the proper timeline is for a breakup, but if. Because it was New Year's. Right. And it's almost three months later, like, I guess it was the first time that she saw him. Like, maybe this is normal, but, like, maybe just, like, get back together.
Jackie
But then someone commented saying, you just described the lyrics of New Year's Day by Taylor Swift. And then she posted a video responding to that saying of her sobbing.
Claudia
Yeah.
Jackie
Saying Alex hasn't been posting as much pro. Because this is me spiraling every night.
Claudia
I also feel like Alex just in regards to her posting, because I saw, like, a TikTok she made, like, a week ago. Being like, I haven't posted in so long. She was, like, doing her makeup. I feel like she's doing the reality show. She's doing her podcast. And, like, when you have so much content, like, different places, I feel like it's like, well, what do I post in? She doesn't. Right. And she doesn't want to, like, spoil something on the show by posting it on TikTok. And I feel like she's kind of in a tough spot with, like, what to post.
Jackie
Yeah. But I also really.
Claudia
And it used to be get ready with me, but now everywhere she goes, she gets glam.
Jackie
Like, I commend her for sharing that she's, like, sad about Braxton because I just, like, would have assumed that when you're a celebrity, like, you don't, like, talk about your feelings because the other person's gonna see it.
Claudia
You know, it's not like, you're just, like, talking to your girl.
Jackie
You have to, like, be cool.
Claudia
Yeah.
Jackie
And she's not being cool, but I think that's, like, another reason why people love her. I did not expect her to, like, be crying on the Internet about Braxton, because we all know it's about Braxton.
Claudia
I hope Braxton, like, saw and texted
Jackie
her and get back together, and maybe he needs to propose.
Claudia
I should say, like, you know, I've. I haven't been rooting for them, but, like, this made me, like, really sad, and I kind of think they should get back together.
Jackie
I think so too. She was so happy. What could have went wrong?
Claudia
I don't know. I do feel like she thought maybe this relationship was holding her back, like, from something.
Jackie
I think that would be very.
Claudia
And then it was just becoming a lot of work with him being in Houston. Like, it wasn't worth it anymore.
Jackie
Love is always worth it.
Claudia
Well, that's a lesson. Maybe she's learning the hard way.
Jackie
Okay, well, I'm holding out hope for that.
Claudia
Me too.
Jackie
Are you ready for our next story? Another memoir forthcoming? It wasn't a big announcement. It was actually announced in, like, in a different sort of way. Dax Shepard shared on his podcast, really? That he is writing his memoir which will cover his child sexual abuse. So he had Marcus sober, right? Is he?
Claudia
Yeah, yeah.
Jackie
So he has.
Claudia
He's like a crazy story. Yeah.
Jackie
He had Marcus Mumford on his podcast, and Marcus was talking about his child sexual abuse in his like. And that's also referenced in his song Cannibal. And then Dax revealed that he has been documenting his own story in a forthcoming memoir. He said, I want to bond with you on this experience, which is I have for years on here been acknowledging that I had been molested. And that was its own hurdle to just say that. And I got quite comfortable being able to say that. That was fine. Now I'm writing a memoir. And last year, really, the whole year was about do I have the balls to write down the details of this? Because the details were always going to be mine. I didn't want anyone to be envisioning me. It's weird that that was still some wall between my shame.
Claudia
Oh, well, first of all, it's like a soft launch. Like, we didn't get a cover and
Jackie
title or anything, but what do you think? I think the title should be Armchair Expert.
Claudia
Oh, like in the armchair. Like, something about how he's now telling his story where he usually has people in his chair.
Jackie
Like, yeah, but also it's like. Like how he became the armchair. Like, he is the armchair expert. Like how yours is girl with no
Claudia
job before the chair. Like, no, no. Just no. I think he needs to reference the chair, but I don't think he should have it be the same name as his podcast. Especially because, like, we're assuming an armchair expert. Someone else's story. Like, now it's his. So it's like in my own armchair.
Jackie
In the. Okay. In the.
Claudia
In the arms of a chair. I like that.
Jackie
But like, how gears this girl with no job. Because that's your pronoun online.
Claudia
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's my pronoun. Girl slash with no job. I like that.
Jackie
His is arm slash, chair.
Claudia
Yeah, that's a good Title.
Jackie
No, I think. I think the armchair has to be in there. I do.
Claudia
I need to say something.
Jackie
Okay.
Claudia
So I've been getting tagged a lot, I think, with, like, the resurgence of Reza Farahan being on TV again. A lot of people are tagging me in his memoirs, being like, oh, my God, Claudia. He named his book Memoirs of a Gay Shah because he's Persian and he's gay. Being like, that's your dream. Because we're always saying the perfect title. His Memoirs of aa. That's where, like, the whole joke started from, like, with us. Like, I knew he teased his memoirs, like, 10 years ago. I don't know if it came out already or.
Jackie
Yeah, it did.
Claudia
Oh, so he's just, like, continually promoting it.
Jackie
Yeah. No, people.
Claudia
No. Because people think it's, like, a new book.
Jackie
Yeah. And they just comment. Do you guys know Reza's memoirs is.
Claudia
We know that's where, like, the whole thing comes from.
Jackie
It's very exciting for us. Like, one person who did it. Right. What they needed to do.
Claudia
Yeah. And so like it. He inspired our. We didn't inspire him, I think, but
Jackie
also, we were both inspired by Memoirs of a Geisha.
Claudia
Oh.
Jackie
But.
Claudia
But of course, an inspirational tale.
Jackie
I need to read it.
Claudia
I need to see it.
Jackie
I feel like I would love it.
Claudia
I think you would, too. I think it's, like, world renowned.
Jackie
Yeah. Everyone loves it. But I also think, like, I would.
Claudia
Like, everyone loves it. Everybody loves us. They do.
Jackie
So excited for Dax's memoirs. I feel like it'll be strong. Memoirs.
Claudia
Yeah. I mean, between his celebrity marriage, he's on, like, one of the most. I hated it. But one of the most acclaimed shows for many years, Parenthood, that people are, like, obsessed with the lore of addiction, childhood molestation.
Jackie
But also he has, like, just big personality and insights, like, and then building,
Claudia
like, a really, really successful podcast.
Jackie
Read it.
Claudia
Yeah.
Jackie
And also, mark me down.
Claudia
We were just talking about how them as a couple, like, they have an insane net worth. Right. Like, they're both kind of crushing it. And I would like to know a little bit about. I'm sure he'll talk about. Because they're always talking about, like, the awkward dynamics of their relationship. Like, when you marry someone in the same industry. And he was very much like, when they got together, like, the lesser earner and the lesser everything. And I think she sort of lifted him up. So I'm just curious about them in general.
Jackie
Yeah. And I'm sure he'll also talk about, like, being a parent, which is subject material that I'm very interested in.
Claudia
And I think he's just sort of, like, polarizing to people, and people like that always make good books. Yeah, he's, like, always saying stuff on his podcast that, like, people hate.
Jackie
I feel like only one time he did that.
Claudia
Oh, what are you referencing, like, Jonathan Van Ness?
Jackie
Okay, so if we both have the same one.
Claudia
No, but that's. That's not. Yeah, this is just the thing with Cher and Kristen Bell showed up. Like, he's always. He's sort of like toxic masculinity. Like.
Jackie
Oh, really? Yes.
Claudia
He's. Guys, I'm not wrong about this.
Jackie
He's very taken.
Claudia
I have no problem with him. I don't know what the hell he's. What he's talking about.
Jackie
I don't listen divisive podcasters. I don't think of him because they're so. Because.
Claudia
Oh, no, Jackie, he's, like, up there. What?
Jackie
Yeah, he's America's sweetheart.
Claudia
Everybody loves him. Should I ask Chad?
Jackie
No. I feel like.
Claudia
Is Dax Shepard and his podcast considered polarizing?
Jackie
I feel like the commenters will let us know, but I Especially because the podcast realm has so many polarizing characters that when you compare him to the others, he's so lukewarm, so funny.
Claudia
When I asked chat, of course the Jonathan Van Ness thing comes up, but he. A lot of his comments and about personal topics get criticized for being cringe and awkward moments to discuss on social media. Okay, maybe. Am I. Maybe it's like my own perception, but, like, I'm always seeing, like, people, like, hating him.
Jackie
I feel like they just haters gonna hate. But, like, no, I think I'm right. But I'm just like, love, love, love.
Claudia
Okay, Teresa, I think I'm right, but
Jackie
let me know, like, sound off in the comments, please.
Claudia
Am I just, like, sensitive? Like, because I think, like.
Jackie
Or maybe like, sometimes you see something one time and it just really colors. You know what I was thinking about this morning? Like, my theory that I. Now you've told me I'm wrong, but I still believe it.
Claudia
Oh, let's hear it.
Jackie
That Long Live is written about Taylor and Joe. Like, she wrote about Joe Jonas and when she performed with the Jonas Brothers. And you said it's for the fans, but I. I one time heard that, like, it was about them performing. And I just believe that and as many.
Claudia
And who am I to, like, stomp on your belief?
Jackie
So I'm just saying, like, sometimes you just see something and, like, doesn't matter what anyone tells you. That is what it is. To you, rascal is a name. Of course. Of course. Are you ready for our fourth story? Harry Styles concert coming to Netflix.
Claudia
You know, I saw that when I was watching TV last night. Like, I went to Netflix and I didn't choose anything. So they put up like a screensaver of all their comings. One night in Manchester, right?
Jackie
Yep. The superstar show from the co op arena in Manchester in which he will play his new album, Kiss all the Time Disco occasionally will be beamed out worldwide on the streamer this Sunday, two days after the album drops. He records the show on Friday. He's recording Friday for air Sunday. Okay. I love this. Okay.
Claudia
I. I love a concert dvd. I love this new format. So it's not live streamed because it's airing Sunday and recorded Friday, but it's like a live to tape thing.
Jackie
It is. And I like that one. Like, you know, I don't want to see all the mistakes. So feel take those out. But I also don't want to see something heavily edited and produced that feels like fake.
Claudia
Right. Like the 1989 concert DVD that was literally destroyed by Apple TV because, like, it cuts every two seconds. Like, you can't even see anything. Love this. Love. I'm just confused about the timeline. Is he only performing his new music because I'm like, I need to wait until I like, learn the album to like, appreciate it it, or is he just singing like his one new song and then all the old music?
Jackie
I think he's just singing the new album. I think this is solely in promotion of his new album and I think it's a cool way to promote your album. He obviously saw that we said that he's doing press like a new mama and he said, hold my scarf.
Claudia
Doesn't it feel like this was like, kind of thrown together at the last minute? Like, I like this.
Jackie
It's new and inventive.
Claudia
Yep.
Jackie
I'm not like, if this were, I'm not like, I don't know that I'm a big enough Harry Styles fan to actually watch this, but if it were someone that I wear a huge fan of, like, I'd be so sad. And I'm not saying I'm not a fan of Harry's, but like, to get me to watch someone's new album concert, like, you have to be Bruno Mars.
Claudia
Yes, of course. I hope that this is successful for Harry and Netflix. I would love for Netflix to do more of these. I love concert films. Like, whether it's like partial documentary, partial concert, I don't care. Like, this is my Favorite type of content.
Jackie
And I feel like people are always trying to do something different. Like visual albums.
Claudia
Yeah.
Jackie
But doing it like this, where we can.
Claudia
Like, where does one watch a visual album?
Jackie
Ask Miley Cyrus. Right where we can see the songs in the context in which he wants us to see them. I think we'll do a really good job of getting these songs to the fans.
Claudia
I agree. I love this. Netflix had, like, an era where they were doing this a little bit. Remember Ben Platt live from Radio City? Yeah.
Jackie
I never watched it.
Claudia
Oh, my God. I. But not actually.
Jackie
Not because I'm a hater, but because I was such a big fan, I wanted to save it. And then I never watched it.
Claudia
I, at that time, was probably the biggest Ben Platt fan. Like, when it came to his music, which is insane. I'm literally Halle Glassman, like, a big fan. And I'm a big troll because. And I wanted to see it, too.
Jackie
Like, unfortunately, her name is now a verb.
Claudia
Great. I wanted to see it also. And now in hindsight, it makes so much sense. But, like, he was playing Radio City, like, his hometown show on Rosh Hashanah, like, so no Jews could go. Probably how he prefers it. And so I had to watch it on Netflix. And it's incredible. Like, that's what. It's so hard to be, like, a Ben Pot hater for, because, like, he's so insanely talented. And it's one of the best concert DVDs. Like, it's so good. And I feel like they did someone else.
Jackie
They did.
Claudia
Maybe Olivia Rodrigo right after, and then they stopped doing it. Like, these concert DVDs. Bring that back. I love that love as well. Oh, and speaking of streamers, I don't know if it's a story, but do you see? Paramount and HBO announced that they will be merging. And I don't know if it's, like, a new app that we all have to, like, download, but if they want to get in the game, like, do more concert DVDs. I love that.
Jackie
Yeah. Yeah. We'll see what the new app is.
Claudia
Which name should they stick with? With? I feel like hbo.
Jackie
Hbo, though. You just think it's like Sex and the City and Sopranos and Game of Thrones.
Claudia
Well, then there's an opportunity to, like, introduce a new generation. I think, like, the name has such history, which is great. It's like, I love the acronym. It's the home box office.
Jackie
I know, but I feel like they. It can't be hbo, but I, like, they need to take elements, like, maybe Box.
Claudia
Oh, I was thinking that, too. Also, I don't think that they should go with Paramount. Like, I think, like, Paramount has become, like, a controversial, like, title. Like, they're always, like, getting involved in politics. Like, like they are with Colbert. Colbert, his boss is like, Paramount.
Jackie
And then what happened?
Claudia
I don't know. He's always, like, doing monologues about them. All I'm saying is, like, yeah, if
Jackie
you're that bad, if you're talking about them on TV and they're. Stay there.
Claudia
If you're heavily involved in politics, like, you might not sign up for a Paramount subscription. So, like, box. Sure. Although it does have, like, the sexual.
Jackie
Oh, yeah, but like, hbo. Something new. No, no, no, not hbo. I'm telling you because I don't know
Claudia
if we can handle something new.
Jackie
I think we can handle one more new.
Claudia
It has to be the final new.
Jackie
The final new. We cannot handle one more regurgitation of the old. This would have been a good time if they hadn't grown their load for Max.
Claudia
Yeah, if they had. What if they went back? That would be crazy.
Jackie
What about Maxie?
Claudia
Maxi?
Jackie
Lou?
Claudia
Who?
Jackie
Max.
Claudia
I like that.
Jackie
He's my favorite streamer. Maxi.

Jackie
Our fifth and final story. Justin Timberlake is suing Sag harbor over his DWI arrest in a Desperate plea to save his reputation.
Claudia
Yes, I saw that Page Six, like, really kind of slammed him in the headline because the news is just like that. He's suing the town. I don't know, like, what his motives are, but they're saying it's, you know, to undo the damage.
Jackie
Well, so actually it is because he wants a judge to block the video release of the dash cam footage of his arrest.
Claudia
Oh, it must be really bad.
Jackie
The recording, which was captured by officers during his arrest in June 2024, is currently part of a Freedom of Information act request filed by members of the media. So he argues in the lawsuit that he has depicted, quote, in an acutely vulnerable state during a roadside encounter with law enforcement. The court documents also claim that the body cam video captured, quote, intimate details of his physical appearance, demeanor, speech and conduct during his field sobriety test, arrest and combinement. The. His lawyer claimed the release of the body cam footage would cause, quote, quote, severe and irreparable harm to his, quote, personal and professional reputation and subject the singer to, quote, public ridicule and harassment. So actually, Page Six was not exaggerating. His own lawyer said that.
Claudia
Well, now I need to see it. I don't know if what the right way to have handled this was, but, like, by drawing so much attention to it, like, I might not have even cared. You know, this is a two year old thing. Like, I would have watched it and, like, moved on with my life. But now I need to see what he's talking about. I need to get in the weeds. And the thing is, he's probably not going to win. Like, say what you want about this country, but, like, the Freedom of Information act is, like, kind of rock solid. Like, nobody really gets around it. Not even, like, really famous people. I don't know what grounds. It wasn't recorded illegally. Like, he just wants it dismissed because he doesn't feel like people seeing it. Well, that's kind of like too bad. Like, what's his reasoning?
Jackie
I don't. I mean, it will cause personal injury to him. But I want to say, even if he is successful in blocking this video coming out, like, these quotes just, he said he had a martini and drove home. So they already just, like, upend whatever story he was telling. Because how could it be so bad that you want it? Like, if he had a martini and drove home, then it's just like an embarrassing dash cam. Like, what did he do?
Claudia
Yeah, no, all the attention being drawn to it, like, I do feel, is a mistake. Reese Witherspoon's Dash cam footage, like, almost took her down, but she's come back bigger and better than ever. Like, this is over. I haven't really thought about him or his arrest unless I'm in Sag Harbor. I'm like, always thinking about it.
Jackie
Or at the bar that the American Hotel Martini at.
Claudia
I had a margarita there as well. I didn't feel like driving home. I actually took an Uber. I took an Uber, so drawing a lot of attention to it. It would have made waves, but now it's like a big thing. I feel like people don't really care anymore. Like, the whole ruined the world tour, like, it was fun. It's over. People really have moved on. If the. I think the video is coming out regardless. So now knowing that you tried to stop it, you tried to, like, use your money and status to get around the law that, like, literally everyone, like, everybody, every. That's the whole thing that the celebrities have issue with is the freedom of information act. Like, their birth records, their addresses, like, it's all just public record. It's like kind of this annoying thing. He's really not special. These circumstances are not special. I don't think he was recorded illegally. Like, this is just what.
Jackie
What it is captured. It wasn't recorded illegally, but.
Claudia
No, that's what I'm saying. So he's requesting. He's trying to sue or whatever. For on what grounds? Like, was it recorded illegally?
Jackie
No, no. That it will cause harm to him to have it out. It has intimate details of his phys. Parents demeanor, speech and conduct.
Claudia
Like, is he naked?
Jackie
Right. That's what it sort of sounds like.
Claudia
And if he was naked, I imagine they have to release it.
Jackie
Blurred. Yeah, of course. But then, like, we'll all see him, like, naked form. Like, no, that will.
Claudia
That causes harm for sure. But so does drunk driving. Like, I literally don't give a fuck
Jackie
saying, I just can't even fathom what's. What's so bad. And, you know, I don't know, Martini.
Claudia
I don't know what his hopes were for a comeback, but, like, I feel now like I'm getting Remad all over again.
Jackie
No.
Claudia
And I hope that the people in the town, like, hate him. Like, I don't think that they're gonna take this lawsuit lightly. I don't think the judge. Like, the Hamptons is very small town, very. Like, they hate outsiders. Like, the fact that all these people come every summer, like, they hate. Like, it's very local, strong, local, proud. So I feel like they're not going to take lightly to, like, this big celebrity trying to intimidate them.
Jackie
Yeah, well, you shall see. If he's successful, it still doesn't vote. Well, because what'd you do after one, Martin? Now it's our martini?
Claudia
Of course not.
Jackie
And if he's not successful, like, oh,
Claudia
maybe there's, like, a woman in the car with him. I don't know. But when do we know that from, like, the police?
Jackie
Yeah, the descriptions.
Claudia
No, now, see, look at me now. I'm coming up with theories. Yeah, he should not have done this because he's not gonna win either. So it will have been for nothing. And now we just, like, hate you even more.
Jackie
Well, good job. We'll stay tuned for that.
Claudia
Let's dive into Dear Toasters, our weekly advice segment. So every Tuesday, Jackie and I help out our swirlies in need. You know, you guys do so much for us. You support the show. We try to support back by helping you out. So you can write into us dear toasters gmail.com or head over to our website. There's a little submission box. When you scroll down, it says, Dear Toasters, both of the methods. You have just as much of a chance getting on the show either way. And they're both totally anonymous, so don't worry about that. No, we don't. They all go to the same inbox, just content based on method. So thank you to everybody who wrote in. And here are today's submissions. Hello, girly swirlies. I just want to say I love you all so much. You seriously put a smile on my face every day. That's really sweet. I need your thoughts. Is this a red flag, or am I overthinking? My boyfriend flipped out on me for getting a little Botox for my little forehead wrinkle that was starting to show. I paid for it myself because we keep our finances separate. But his reaction really made me worry that he might try to control what I do with my body or my money in the future. Especially if we ever get married and share finances. Would love your perspective.
Jackie
Okay. Boys, like, think Botox is baseline, and they love taking a moral high ground. Like, you're beautiful. You don't need these things. And let me tell you, if you never told him you had Botox, he would never even notice.
Claudia
Good on you for being honest. But, like, what's the lesson here?
Jackie
No, but he just, like, I think this is something, like, every boyfriend has to go through where they think, like, don't do Botox. I love your face the way it is. And then, like, your face doesn't change at all.
Claudia
It's a rite of passage for a book for them to, like, seriously, like, do you need me to pick you up? Like, insane. They think it's just. I don't know why. Maybe they think it's filler or they have a misunderstanding. So I can. It's very sweet if he continues to, like, torture you about it in the years to come, like, he needs to fuck off. But for right now, this is not a red flag.
Jackie
And you don't even have to tell him that you're doing now he knows that you're a woman who does Botox now. Great. He should know. You know, like, we've said transparency in terms of, like, medical procedures in your relationship is a good thing. But you don't need to tell him now every time you get Botox. And if you're worried about, like, combining finances and how he might. Might, like, micromanage what you're doing with shared finance, you would know if he
Claudia
was micromanaging in, like, finances in other ways. I feel like this is the Botox talking.
Jackie
I agree, but no, then you know that whenever you do join finances, that maybe you guys each need your own little thing so that you can do what you want. If he is going to be overseeing everything and having something to say. Yeah, no, but, like, plenty of people have joint finances and still have personal accounts.
Claudia
Of course. And every woman should have a knibble. But that's like. If you need to flip.
Jackie
No, no, that's like an emergency. This is just like, daily living. Yeah, you don't need your daily living policed.
Claudia
Also, if he is policing, like, what you spend money on when it comes to, like, cosmetic surgeries, he will need plugs. And you just have to keep up that energy for him. Right. What are we getting hair plugs for? You know, and it took over. Every. Every man needs plugs, you know, and, like, a lot of them do it now. Okay. Yeah. So it's like, oh, I can't get Botox. You can't get your plugs. Baldy plugs.
Jackie
I just want to say, because it's
Claudia
the one thing that, like, men have to deal with. You know what I mean? We have to deal with, like, wrinkles and skin and sag and boobs and pregnancy and belly. Like, everything. They just lose their hair and they can't handle it. Like, yeah, they can't handle it. And they all consider getting plugs and a lot. I feel like most men now, like, get plugs. He can't. If you can't get. If you can't. But you can't get Botox. You can't get plugs.
Jackie
Yeah.
Claudia
And I just keep bringing it up because it's like, yeah, we're not the only ones you love.
Jackie
Hugs.
Claudia
Yeah. Ready for next one? Dear toasters, I'm 23, married three years, together for eight.
Jackie
Okay.
Claudia
We met in high school. When I was a teen, I went through a cancer diagnosis. He stayed through it all with me. We share a very deep love and bond. He's very loyal. He loves me deeply. But for years, I've asked him to grow in areas like discipline, career goals, household responsibility, spiritual leadership. I eventually stopped asking because I started to feel like an aggie bitch wife. I'm a travel nurse now. I'm still in school. Sometimes I feel like I'm managing him instead of partnering with him. We've had serious conversations about these issues over the span of the four years. He's not a bad guy. It makes me feel so terrible for even thinking this. I'm scared of hurting him and being the one to leave. But even my family has brought up concerns to me about his behavior, my happiness. So how do you know if this is something to work through or if you're just misaligned? Sincerely, a confused and empathetic toaster.
Jackie
Oh, that's really tough.
Claudia
I know, because obviously, like, a man who stays with you through cancer.
Jackie
Oh, you know, I wasn't even thinking about the cancer.
Claudia
No, because I'm thinking about it differently. I'm giving different advice to someone who just, like, let's say without the cancer, got married really young. And it's like. Yeah, when you get married really young, you run the risk of growing into different people that aren't well matched. Yeah, but this is different because we always say, like, you know, you're. Bridget, choose your husband like your life depends on it. And so, like, in a darkest moment, like, you had the husband that you deserve and like the husband who did everything right. And so, like, are you giving up on him? But I don't know how many times you can have a conversation with someone before, like, they take you seriously.
Jackie
Yeah, this is tough one. Because he was there for you, but also just because he loves you and he's devoted to you and he's an otherwise very good guy, but, like, lack of motivation and desire. You don't even have to be the most successful person, but, like a desire to be your best and. And lean, learn and. And grow and in all areas of life. Like that. That's bad.
Claudia
Yeah, I would. Because it's a marriage. Because you guys have been through a lot together, I would take your concerns seriously. I would like continue to talk about them in like a serious way.
Jackie
Maybe like counseling, but maybe like spiritual counseling.
Claudia
You know, he's a good man, Savannah.
Jackie
Like right.
Claudia
You get to see. And so there's good stuff here.
Jackie
As Brady would say, it's hard to find a good man. Like important box are checked here.
Claudia
No, of course. Because then you have a man who might be like, you know, very disciplined, career gold, ambition takes, and then is
Jackie
a terrible husband and he cheats on you.
Claudia
Right in like the way. In the places that it really matters. So I feel like in the things that really, really, really matter, like when you boil it down to like life or death, he is a good guy. And so there's a relationship worth salvaging here. So whether that's counseling, spiritual, maybe starting
Jackie
to go to church together. And unfortunately, I do feel like the onus is going to be on you to help try and break him out of his shit shell. But I also feel like we need to be giving advice as if he might never break out of his shell. And then what?
Claudia
Well, then you can go. Absolutely. But you have to give it like a full, full, full shot. Because I feel like it is a marriage worth saving just based on what you've said about him.
Jackie
Yeah.
Claudia
In other aspects of your marriage.
Jackie
Yeah. It needs like a life coach, you
Claudia
know, but like not a turn one.
Jackie
I mean, it's impossible to like find like. Like if there was a life coach coach.
Claudia
The concept of a life coach is such a good idea.
Jackie
Such a good idea.
Claudia
The execution of it is almost always grifter like 1000 and it's like the people who have the worst lives telling me what to do with mine. Like, no thanks.
Jackie
No. And when anyone says they have a life coach, it's like, I roll.
Claudia
Yeah.
Jackie
But the concept is so strong.
Claudia
Agreed. Like what? I guess. But it's not even therapy. Even though I want to say the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Did you watch last week? No. Erica had a therapy session and it was like literally half the episode. And I hate when people do therapy on reality tv. It's just like it feels too intimate. First of all, it was such an amazing scene and this I feel like this therapist therapist has to be like having a three year long wait list. She's the most amazing therapist.
Jackie
Yeah. She's been working with Erica for a while.
Claudia
Yes.
Jackie
I.
Claudia
Look, if I ever go to therapy, I want to see her. She was amazing. Sorry. So what's our advice to this girl. Like I would really like I don't give up.
Jackie
Don't give up.
Claudia
I don't think he knows the seriousness. So like sometimes when like your wife is nagging you, like you're not listening. But maybe if your wife is nagging you with like a bag packed, maybe
Jackie
you'll listen, maybe talk to members of his family, you know, Really, I guess try every avenue before you were to give up. But I would be. That would really be my last, last me too thing to do.
Claudia
Our third and final is a little bit of mahjong drama. Hey swirlies. I have a little bit of mahjong drama. I'm hoping you can help your girl out. I've been begging one of my close friends to join me at my weekly mahjong club. And after a couple of months she finally agreed. And to no one's surprise, she loves it. I've continued to invite her weekly to which she has declined. But instead she asked me on four occasions now if she can borrow one of my sets to play with her. And a group of girls always post pictures playing together with my set and I've never been invited to join. Also it always takes me asking multiple times to get my set returned to my me. I have my own group of girls I regularly play with so it's fine. But for some reason this just really
Jackie
rubs me the wrong way 1000%.
Claudia
Am I justified in being a little hurt by this? And when can I tell my friend to buy her own set already and
Jackie
tell her today you don't tell her
Claudia
to buy her own set but she can't use yours.
Jackie
You know she cannot use yours. Stop inviting her. You're not invited to. That's just like the rules of feminism.
Claudia
It's the rules of feminism and it's certainly the rules of mahjong. Now the thing about mahjong is that it being a four person game like you're limited in some ways, right? So like you can't be invited to every game. But if you're always inviting someone to play and you have a pre established game and you got her into the game and then she's like flourishing and never inviting you to back and then is also using your set and not even being a good borrower by giving it back in a timely fashion. Say it with me.
Jackie
Fuck this bitch.
Claudia
Fuck this bitch all the way.
Jackie
Yeah.
Claudia
Don't give her your set. Do not give her respond like we're done with her.
Jackie
Do not give her your set anymore. Say no, I'm Using it. No, I can't.
Claudia
Ben always says, like, that I'm so quick to, like, cut someone off, but I'm sorry. This bitch needs to be cut off.
Jackie
Yeah, that's really bad form, bad friendship. To not invite you to play with her when you're the one who got her into the game. And you know what? I feel like sometimes games just, like. Like, come together in a natural way where you have, like, a game, but that she never even invited you and gave you a chance, even if you have your own game and you're fine. Like, I feel as though that's rude.
Claudia
Agreed.
Jackie
Especially the set. Like, maybe you have your game and she has her game, but then, like, you also could have a game together with, you know, two other parties.
Claudia
One person from your group and one person from her group.
Jackie
Right. Or other mutual friends. Not cool. Not cool. Stop giving her your set.
Claudia
Oh, my God, you're so nice. Like, I.
Jackie
You are so nice. Nice.
Claudia
I know. And also, people are so awful.
Jackie
I would never give my set.
Claudia
So you can play without me. Are you kidding? Absolutely not. Me too. My set is so personal to me.
Jackie
I feel like I'm ready for my second set.
Claudia
I have three now. Actually four if you include a travel, because I have, like, I had to get one here, and then I have one in New York, and then I got another one here because, like, somebody sent me one, and then I got the travel one in case we, like, want to play at the beach.
Jackie
Like, I have one. I love it. I love it so much. Like, it's like purses, right? It makes my heart. Heart sing.
Claudia
And it's like an accessory. So.
Jackie
Yeah. And I love when we play with it. I feel like everybody. It's a good vibe. It has, like, good energy. It's from. Oh, my Mahjong. And I. I just adore it.
Claudia
We played with my set yesterday.
Jackie
I love yours.
Claudia
And being the girl to bring the set, like, it's just such a good feeling.
Jackie
I'm always the one.
Claudia
You guys need cards. You need a rack. I have.
Jackie
I love yours too.
Claudia
