Sasha
Good morning, girlies. It's the Toast.
Jax
It's Jackson Claude and we're your host.
Sasha
It's your favorite show.
Jax
The best five things you need to know.
Sasha
We'll start your day off.
Jax
Swirly.
Sasha
It's the Toast.
Jax
They sound amazing.
Sasha
Welcome back to the Toast and happy Thursday. That does feel like a Friday, because today is our final episode of the week. Tomorrow is June. Juneteenth. And so today is the final day. So if you've got something to say, if you've got something to say, say it.
Jax
I will say it. Co journa. Frederick.
Sasha
Okay, Frederick.
Jax
I'll say it.
Sasha
Say it. And you know, I get the sense that you've been wanting to say it.
Jax
Oh.
Sasha
Oh, no.
Jax
I'm literally coming into the show like bling slate. Like, mind cleared. Nothing on my mind.
Sasha
I have so much on my mind. But that's just sort of what happens when you are like a woman of a certain intellect, don't you find?
Jax
Yes, I do find what's on your mind, Coacher and or share everything.
Sasha
Like, everything. Last night was my one night off from Love island and like, I didn't make the most.
Jax
Oh, I made the most of it. I went out to dinner, like a two and a half hour dinner. And I got home like around the same time I'd be wrapping up Love island. And that is how I spent my night off. And it was like I wanted to see my friend and I literally told her I can only go to dinner, like Wednesday and Saturday, but, like, Wednesday's better for me. I'm already wearing makeup from work. So we made it work. And you know what? It was really great to see my friend and to have a friend and to have a life. And I'll be back at the television for the next six nights.
Sasha
It's nice to have a friend.
Jax
I can have a friend once a week.
Sasha
Once a week. And that's kind of my max.
Jax
Yeah. So I made the most. You didn't make the most.
Sasha
No, I didn't. Like, things just sort of got away from me. I've been really kind of like, nutty about my wake windows. I find that if the second wake window is not five hours.
Jax
That girl, that creator, what's her name? I just followed her. She's my new favorite creator.
Sasha
I just followed her too.
Jax
Oh, my God. I actually laugh out loud at her stuff.
Sasha
Login in the app. Yeah, the login in the app girl. That's her name.
Jax
Yeah, her name is. Hold on, you guys.
Sasha
I just followed.
Jax
Her name is Yesterday Deborah Quack. Gilbert. If you are a mother, you have to follow. If you're, you know, if you like comedy, you have to follow her. But like you will seriously relate if you're a mom. It's tears in my eyes.
Sasha
Yes, it's true. So I am the login in the app girl. I just like kind of really need my second wake window to be five hours because then I get to sleep till 7, 7:30. Like that's just sort of. So when you wake up late from a nap, like we didn't go to bed till 7:30. So then it was just sort of like already deep into the night at 7:30. And then like the sushi we ordered like was at the restaurant but the courier wasn't there. It was just like drama. By the time I ate dinner, it was like 9 o'. Clock. It was time for bed. Like I didn't do anything productive. I didn't watch anything. I didn't read anything. I just like rotted and waited for my food. It was just like a bad use of my time.
Jax
I'm sorry. That happens.
Sasha
I hate like it was upsetting.
Jax
I'm very sorry. Maybe next Wednesday you'll have better luck out there.
Sasha
Yeah, I did actually. That's not true. I watched one thing. I watched Emily Kaiser on Jay Shetty. Not the whole thing yet. I just want to say because I don't feel like it gets said enough that I would lay my life out for Emily Kaiser. I love her so much. She, it like shocks me every time someone reminds me that she's 27.
Jax
Wow.
Sasha
And that when her, her, when that incident with her son occurred, she was 25. Like that's insane. It's also insane. And it really speaks to like the evil nature of Internet. And I'm sorry. Mainly women that like she's somebody who gets hate.
Jax
Yeah.
Sasha
You know, even the comments, like I, they're overwhelmingly positive. But like the fact that there is a person on this earth who could find one negative thing to say about Emily Kaiser and what she went through, like it's, it really speaks to like the, the evil of human nature. Like there are such evil people out there. I think she's so well spoken in the interview and I thought Jay Shetty did an amazing job. Like it's, it's a tough interview to, to conduct. It was just like, it's heartbreaking and she's so mature. She just says things and I'm like, oh my God. Because I think a big question is like, you know, this incident with her son happened while she Was out of the house. Like, how do you forgive your husband?
Jax
Yeah, I see all the comments are
Sasha
like, if that was my husband, it's a girl. Shut the fuck up. Like seriously, shut the fuck up. About to choke someone in the. No.
Jax
And I think you think, like, if that was your husband, like, you don't know how you could ever forgive them. And she explains how like she went through all of those feelings. Yeah.
Sasha
But he also said like, this was a preventable accident. So like it literally it could have been her. Like.
Jax
Yeah. And that's what, like sort of.
Sasha
And she was like, I'm trying to give him the forgiveness that I would so badly want him to have given me if it was me in this situation versus him. And it's just like, that's a literally a 27 year old girl. Like, it's just insane to think about her level of maturity and what she's been through and how she's handled the whole thing. And like, and coming back, she has to work so like still making content. Like, it's insane when you think about her age. And I thought the interview was excellent. And I love her so much and I will seriously defend her always. Like, she's my number one and she's also my comfort creator.
Jax
Like, yeah.
Sasha
And when we were talking yesterday on the toast about like doing the dishes, like, that's her. I love her.
Jax
I know. And it's like, aside from the fact like who could have something negative to say to a person who's like grieving and so heartbroken, but it's like even before all of that, like her content is just like pargy and lovely and like, really, what negative thing would you have to say about any of that? People signed away.
Sasha
They do. It's. The whole situation has really spoken to how awful. Like, even when the situation was unfolding and we weren't entirely sure if this situation was about Emily, people were showing up at her house, you know, going to the city hall, trying to unseal documents. Like just genuine evil walks among us. And it's chill. This was a chilling reminder of that. And I just love her. Like, I will like seriously protect her at all costs.
Jax
Yeah. Yeah.
Sasha
That's what I did last night.
Jax
No, I've been seeing clips from and everyone is like sharing that. It was just so amazing.
Sasha
It was amazing. Like it was amazing.
Jax
Yeah. That's a really great, like, place to, to go and share.
Sasha
I don't know if I knew that things. Did they announce it or anything or.
Jax
Not until like the day before.
Sasha
Got it okay. Yeah, I didn't know that. And I. Yeah, it's a perfect place. He's so good.
Jax
Yeah.
Sasha
Did you see he just signed a huge deal with Netflix?
Jax
I saw. And he brought a tear out of turdi, don't forget.
Sasha
Well, 100. I. Yes. I also went on Jay Shadow. Yeah. And I cried the whole time I was pregnant. Not that I probably. I probably would have cried regardless.
Jax
You know, you do this podcast every day. You do this podcast every day. You don't cry every day when you're pregnant.
Sasha
I do cry a lot. Either from laughing or crying.
Jax
I guess you. I guess you. You have cried. I wouldn't say you cry a lot.
Sasha
No, I've probably cried on this podcast. Are we talking about, like, crying from laughter or.
Jax
No, no, no, no.
Sasha
I probably cried, like, 10 times over eight years.
Jax
No, that's so. That's not a lot.
Sasha
No, it's not. It's not. But I did cry on Jay Shetty. That's what he does. He talks about, like, the hard stuff. And I was also pregnant. Just.
Jax
Yeah.
Sasha
I want credit.
Jax
No, but it was a very revelatory episode. Not to make it, like, about.
Sasha
No, I would never.
Jax
I did it. It was me. I did it. I made it.
Sasha
It was her mama's getter.
Jax
Well, we have some other podcasting news today. The podcasts are making news while Levia took a night off. Yeah. Olivia Wilde on call her daddy, mentioning it all. Yeah.
Sasha
Love island not being on was lovely. Although I did miss my peeps.
Jax
Like, I know I was thinking a little bit, like, I was having a little bit of withdrawal.
Sasha
Like, it's good, but it's bad, you
Jax
know, like, it's good.
Sasha
It is.
Jax
It's good, but it's bad. Yeah, we could say that. We could say it. And we are committed to watching it. I've gotten to, like, a good routine with it. So, like, people who are, like, keep watching or stop watching. Like, I'm keeping watching until further notice.
Sasha
Same. What else is new with you, Jax? You're wearing all pink. You're looking like a little ballerina today.
Jax
Thank you so much. In honor of Ballerina Farm, what's new with me? I've got a party loaf started this morning. I'm happy to say that the starter is right. Rising. She has risen.
Sasha
Yes.
Jax
And I made a loaf a couple days ago with my new starter that is like, you know, my relative, but distant relative. And we are getting closer. The loaf was pargy. It always is. Thank you. And I've got one going again today, so I'm in loaf mode, you know.
Sasha
Oh, yeah.
Jax
Rise and grind.
Sasha
Literally. So glad to hear.
Jax
Yeah.
Sasha
The starter.
Jax
The start. Yeah. The starters come full circle. Okay, never mind.
Sasha
I actually did watch something last night. I watched and, you know, I have this, like, toxic relationship with this show. Four seasons.
Jax
I've seen it the first season.
Sasha
Oh, did you? The second season is out. I'm telling you, I like this show so much. Like, it's so not me. It is hysterical. Like, it's very rare that I watch a show and I actually, like, laugh out loud, but there's so many. The writing on this show is excellent. I was, like, cracking up at multiple. Like, just conversations. It's such a good show. I'm into spring, so I'm in season number two. I really like it also reminds me of postpartum, because that's when I watched it the first, and it was like, such a sweet little show. I really like it.
Jax
Why do you feel like it's so not you? It's like Tina Fey.
Sasha
I don't know. It just feels. Not me. It's also not. It's kind of like a show for boomers.
Jax
I don't think so, because that's not the demo of, like, the people like Coleman Domingo.
Sasha
Yes. It's. It's a much. It's. It's an older show. And Coleman Domingo, by the way, is the star of the show. He's seriously so funny. I don't know if I've ever seen him in anything comedic. Like, in Euphoria. He's kind of, like, serious. Oh, my God. Hysterical. I'm always cracking up at him and his husband. I think the show gears more towards, like, an older gen, and I never see anyone talking about it, like, is it popular?
Jax
I think that it is. What's that viral clip that's like, I'm looking. Oh. From Lizzie McGuire premiere of the Little Brother. I'm looking forward to cracking up. Cracking up.
Sasha
That's literally me. When I'm SAT for four seasons, I think I'm looking forward to cracking up.
Jax
That's me every day. Like, yeah, I'm constantly cracking and. Or looking forward to cracking.
Sasha
It's one of my favorite activities, cracking up. And when I. And I feel like a lot of times you say LOL or LMFAO and like, you're over exaggerating. Not me. I am. When I'm cracking, I'm cracking.
Jax
Yeah, I see you.
Sasha
I see you. I'm cracking up. Our new favorite acronym that we invented.
Jax
Looking forward to cracking up.
Sasha
I really am. It's one of my favorite. Like, my hobbies include cracking up.
Jax
I agree wholeheartedly.
Sasha
Not my sister Olivia calling me.
Jax
Oh, pick up. Tell her she's live. Let's see. Let's get a new mama update.
Sasha
Oh, my God, she's so funny. She's right. Oh, she's like, I realize you're recording, but I reposted something really weird on Tick Tock. And she was like, you might want to unrepost this.
Jax
Tell us what it is.
Sasha
I didn't repost this. It's like, okay, maybe she's doing a prank. No, no, she's right.
Jax
What was it?
Sasha
Thank you. It was like, low key politics. Like, I'm not getting involved.
Jax
Politics?
Sasha
Yeah, politics I'm not even involved in. Like, oh, my God. Rail. No, no, it was just, like, drama.
Jax
What's the drama?
Sasha
I'll tell you about it later. If you saw me repost that. Yes, it was an accident.
Jax
I need to know what it was.
Sasha
I was thinking, like, who the is calling me? Everybody knows. I never get calls during the toast. Everyone in my life knows. Do not look for me before noon.
Jax
No.
Sasha
And I'm.
Jax
I'm on do not disturb. And then yesterday it was like three o', clock, and I just happened to see I had a missed call, like, while we were doing the toast from someone who, like, doesn't know me like that. And I was like, well, oh, my gosh, I have to call this individual back. It was very important. And I got a hold of her, but, like, I could have missed that.
Sasha
Have I talked about Drizzalicious here on this pod?
Jax
Yeah, we. We talk about it a lot.
Sasha
Oh, do we? Okay. Drizzlicious is like having a national moment. I don't know where the it came from, but I just found out it's a Jewish owned brand. Sly.
Jax
I mean, of course, licious. They should. I should do a sponsorship with them. Lish.
Sasha
I just want to put it out there that I would like to do a collaborative flavor.
Jax
Okay.
Sasha
So the bodega by my house, like, is obviously like a supplier because they have every flavor and every.
Jax
No. The amount of shelf space this brand gets. And even before it, like, this big renaissance, like, it just showed up one day and it took over the shelves. Like, at Publix, like, you had no choice but to buy it. And I'm glad because I love it. But, like, like, we did not have a choice.
Sasha
Yeah. Remember when everybody one day just like, showed up wearing the bar sweatshirts and I was like, where? Who? What? When that's how I feel about Jizzalicious. It's everywhere and now.
Jax
But it's everywhere for a reason.
Sasha
In my mahjong group, when we play, everybody brings a new flavor. So yesterday we did birthday cake, which I loved. And then I bought some, like, on my bodega for my house. We've done cinnamon swirl. I need to try. We just brought home chocolate strawberry, which I'm a little suspicious about. I've only had one flavor that's legit bad, and it's the lemon. But somebody at mahjong was like, have you guys had the lemon? It's the best. I'm like, oh, you're disgusting.
Jax
You're not.
Sasha
Like, it's so personal.
Jax
It is. But I feel like that's pretty objective when you do a flavor with them. It should be called turtle ish. Turtle licious.
Sasha
I seriously love Drizzalicious so much. Turtle delicious. Okay, wait. We could do Drizzle Licious Externie. And it's like a really chocolate flavor. It's like chocolate.
Jax
That's great.
Sasha
They'll love that. I love Drizzalicious. I wish I meant it myself. I dream of Drizzalicious.
Jax
That's so crazy. I know. Well, the place looks great. Let's get into the story. Yeah. We've got a lot to do today. We've got to wrap up the week in a party manner. So without further ado, here are the fast five stories that you to do need to know.
Sasha

Jax
It's croc season. I'm finding my shoes.
Sasha

Jax
Our first story aforementioned Olivia Wilde on Call Her Daddy. She is addressing the Don't Worry Darling drama. Her divorce, her relationship with Harold Stiles.
Sasha
I also think that this interview is like, I'm back. I didn't know she left, but yeah, I guess she has been relatively quiet.
Jax
She has been quiet. I guess she has a new movie coming out.
Sasha
Directing or starring?
Jax
I probably directing and starring. Doesn't she do both?
Sasha
She's so funny to me. Like, she kind of. I kind of like, missed her. She is like a lot of guys, like dream girl. Like, I don't really know where she came from. I don't.
Jax
The O.C.
Sasha
yeah. Yeah.
Jax
She.
Sasha
I just kind of like she sort of passed me by and now fandom.
Jax
But yeah.
Sasha
Obsessed with her.
Jax
Well, then she sort of took a left turn.
Sasha
Yes. And I think there was a lot. She's a good guest for Call Her Daddy because she has, like, a lot of things to talk about.
Jax
She's got a lot of explaining to do.
Sasha
She does her public divorce, which was just so crazy. Like the rumors about the nanny laying in front of the car. The divorce papers on stage, which she talked about on the podcast.
Jax
The movie that felt like a real
Sasha
movie, of course, the Harry Styles relationship. And then the movie shy. When I talk about, like, insufferable, like, feminine female females, like feminists, fake feminists. I'm always like, low key talking about Olivia Wilde. Like, she's the example in my head that I use for just like, insufferable women. Talking about women who are actually like, not those types. I think about, like, Emily Ratajkowski, too. I think of them in the same bucket. So I'm really not like her number one fan. I do think the interview was good for her. She came across across really likable and honest. I think obviously the most important thing is her relationship with Harry Styles. And what I wish she had just said is, like, a big you to everyone. Because Alex is like. I mean, like, I can't believe, like, why everyone? And it's like, well, they're just jealous.
Jax
Like. Yeah.
Sasha
We wouldn't just acknowledge the jealousy thing. First of all, younger girls are jealous because it's like, this is my guy. Who are you? Older women are jealous. You're living my fantasy. Like, the element of jealousy didn't come up in the conversation. And I wish it did because, like, that was the whole thing.
Jax
No, and also, just, like, they love Harry. That's not who they wanted to see him with.
Sasha
Well, she did say talk about the parasocial relationship his fans have. And she was very particular about her wording because she knows, you know, she's been. She's seen their wrath, and I don't think she wanted to feel it again. But there are a lot of mentally ills in that. It is can border on being a toxic, sad community. And so I do feel for her. That could not have been easy, honestly. It's the idea of you. It's literally that book.
Jax
Well, yeah, that was based on them, Right. What came out before came out first.
Sasha
It was art imitating. No, it was life imitating art. It was kind of spooky how similar it was.
Jax
Yeah. Oh, that's crazy. Well, she talks about a lot. She talked about the Don't Worry Darling drama, which was the craziest drama of its year. She talked about how it was Covid, so everything was already, like, upside down. I think it was like, 2020. The film came out in 2022. I mean, Covid went on. When did it end?
Sasha
I'm sorry, that's not.
Jax
Actually. I think it was. I think it was, like, Omnichrome.
Sasha
No, I'm sorry. When we blame Covid for things, you get 2020 and 2021. That's it.
Jax
But when was Omni.
Sasha
Yeah, but Omni Chrome people were like, we were out. Like, we were being more careful. But, like, everyone was out.
Jax
Not everyone.
Sasha
I'm talking about being jailed. Like, that's Covid. Oh, you know what? I fell down a rabbit hole today. Are you familiar the redheads covering, like, the Amy Griffin drama?
Jax
Who's that?
Sasha
So Amy Griffin wrote a book.
Jax
Yes, a memoir. But then her classmate said, this happened to Me.
Sasha
So it's the memoir about like discovering that she had been sexually assaulted as a child only because she did mdma. And the memories came back to her, like, she had no memory of it. And then a former schoolmate of hers was like, excuse me, this happened to me. It's like a Jane Doe lawsuit. And she was like, what the hell are you talking about? New York Times did, like, a whole investigation, like, supporting the Jane Doe's claim. Now the author's heading back. And you know what? I'm. I'm just on the side of whoever's telling me their story because I was listening to, like, somebody break down Amy Griffin's version, and I'm like, oh, I believe you. So I'm not 100. It's kind of a crazy saga. I need a movie about the saga to explain it to me fully.
Jax
And what did Amy Griffin say in her defense?
Sasha
In her. She poked a lot of holes in Jane Doe's proof, making Jane Doe, like, actually look, like, completely like a liar. I don't know. Like, it was. She was also coming for the New York Times, saying that the New York Times was, like, a little shot day in their investigation, which I do believe as well. So it's kind of a Saga I'm not 100 kept up on.
Jax
But I think you would also have to read the book.
Sasha
Yeah, no, I didn't read any of it. And I think if it was a Bell Burdens of its time, like, on a smaller scale, it was like the it book last year.
Jax
Last year. I wasn't reading last year.
Sasha
She was like, the darling of literacy. And then this former classmate is like, excuse me, you stole. This is my trauma. Like, and it is very neat.
Jax
Is it possible that it happened to both of them?
Sasha
So I think Amy Griffin is alleging, like, it also happened to me.
Jax
Yeah. And who did it? Amy Griffin, like, what happened?
Sasha
Oh, I don't know.
Jax
Oh, okay. Okay. Well, back to this story.
Sasha
Sorry. Yeah.
Jax
Olivia Wilde's talking about all the drama. I mean, that was the biggest story of its time. And it was. It was a little bit of COVID She said, I've never felt more disconnected from the person that we people were talking about. It's also very strange to see complete fiction traded as fact. There was all this public madness, but my private life was very far from it and very. Actually kind of wholesome and sweet. I had a lot of real joy and happiness during that time. It was like the tornado was right outside the door. And if you were inside, you were like, it's so nice. Then you'd open the door and a cow and a tractor would fly by. So I guess she's talking about, like, in her relationship with Harry at the time, she was in a happy place because they were together. And, you know, she's saying it was just, like, very misconstrued, and she wanted to be like, can I just talk to people? Can I go and say, like, that's not true? And it was like, no, that won't help. And that was really hard. And now she sort of feels like she should have shared that at the time. She think. She says, I think that in my own attempt to be strong and to kind of, like, rise above it, it came off as inauthentic.
Sasha
Okay. Like, I don't really care about any element of this besides Shia Shaya. Shaya. Because all of the drama up until that point, that could be explained away, but it was, I feel, very detrimental to her image because it was so incongruous with this. The future is female girl boss, but you're bringing in a predator and begging him to come work on your movie, even though Your star, Flo, Ms. Flo, has asked you not to, and you're now caught on video begging this really abusive, ill actor to come on your movie.
Jax
Yeah. Yeah. So it's like, I wish she. So she's on the show, like, saying it's not true, but, like, there are things that we know as.
Sasha
So what's not? What is not?
Jax
Oh, that, like, you know, the narrative that, like, everyone was fighting on the movie that Florence, you know, had to produce herself because Olivia's off with Harry, and, like.
Sasha
Yeah, I want to say I don't believe that that was.
Jax
But here are the things that are true. The video, the.
Sasha
Of her.
Jax
The fact that Florence did not promote the movie. There was obviously a schism. Did Chris Pine spit on Harry Styles?
Sasha
I don't think he did so.
Jax
But, like, can you. Can you address that?
Sasha
That was such a crazy time. Yeah. I feel like she went into detail on a lot of stuff except this. She spoke very generally about it, and it's like, well, I would like to know more. To me, the only thing she's really guilty of is the Shia thing, and that's a big thing, and I feel like it was very damaging. Like, she was a lot of, like, a lot of swirlies, like, number one girl boss inspiring female director. And it's like, here you are being awful. So she didn't really talk about that part, which to me was the most damning part of the whole saga. Yes. The spitting Miss Flow having Sex on set. But, like, no, the Shia thing.
Jax
There were so many, like, iconic things that came out of this saga. Shia Shai Shaya, a movie that feels like a real movie. Even when she addressed the rumors, she said, as far as. For the endless tabloid gossip and all the noise out there, I mean, the Internet feeds itself, I don't feel the need to contribute. I think it's sufficiently well nourished. Okay.
Sasha
Like, yeah, we're getting back to, like, that insufferable female girl boss. But this is a good get for Alex.
Jax
Yeah, no, it's a good interview on both their parts. I like. I think a good interview in general is, like, someone who has been talked about a lot, misunderstood in some ways, who's ready to, like, speak their mind and. And let people, you know, take it or leave it.
Sasha
Yeah. She has had so many arcs in her career because she was also talking on the podcast about how she was, at one point, Maxim, Hot 100 number one girl. And it's like, oh, yeah. That was, like, I think on the heels of the OC and that's why she's like, so many guys, like, dream girl.
Jax
Yeah.
Sasha
Because she is also that.
Jax
Yeah.
Sasha
Now she's like girl boss director. But the Maxim to girl boss pipeline, I guess, is a thing.
Jax
I do think that it's a thing because you get, like, so objectified.
Sasha
Yeah.
Jax
Like, sexualizing. You're like, don't look at me.
Sasha
Look at the world. Here's my work. Yeah.
Jax
Yeah. And so you're, like, off camera because you want to show everyone the work, what's inside. Don't look at me, but I'm gonna star in the movie. But I'm not filming.
Sasha
But she's not filming.
Jax
Right. She talked about getting the divorce paper served to her on stage, like, and how shocking that was.
Sasha
She said that Jason Sudeikis, like, to this day, swears that he did not tell the lawyers to do that. And she says, like, I do know that lawyers do get crazy. So for the sake, she said, I have to believe him. Like, I didn't get the sense that she instinctually believed him. She was like, I have to believe him, because if I think the alternative, like, it will ruin her life.
Jax
Yeah. I don't know these people, but I. I guess I just, like, believe people, you know?
Sasha
Yeah.
Jax
Until you give me a reason not to.
Sasha
She thought she was in the clear because, like, while it was humiliating, it was this, like, corporate, no phones event. So she was like, all right, that was humiliating. But, like, it's in this room by the time she's off stage, she's like, it was everywhere. So much so that, like, a few weeks later, she met Tom Cruise. Yeah. And he was like, I'm so sorry that happened to you.
Jax
Yeah. And she, like, didn't realize that Tom Cruise had seen it.
Sasha
Yeah. That's how big it was. It really was huge. I forgot. I forget. Like, there was a time where on this show, we were talking about Olivia Wilde every day.
Jax
Yeah. Yeah. Crazy times.
Sasha
Crazy times.
Jax
Anyway, enjoy the episode. Are you ready for our next story? Lindsay Hubbard is kind of coming for Mija.
Sasha
For me. But, like, Lindsay invented me high. Lindsay was the one who, like, got. Who started the whole thing with the horse hair.
Jax
Okay. It's all going down threads. Lindsay is reacting to Sierra's. To Sierra. No, I have the screenshots. You don't need to download threads, but, you know, cryptic post, but cloudy. Even if you downloaded threads, like, you might miss this, so it's fine. So she's reacting to Sierra posted a cryptid post, and now Lindsay's calling out Miha. So Sierra posted an image, like, a gif of, like, a girl, like, like, sort of seeming, like, exhausted by something. Okay. And Lindsay replied, assuming this is because Miha is telling you one thing and still talking to west on the phone every day, Then someone else tweeted separately, like a Bravo account said, Miha and Wes talked for six hours post Reunion girl. And Miha responded saying, and if I want to yell at my ex for six hours straight, that's my God given. Right?
Sasha
Oh, okay. So, you know, we posted a clip of our conversation from yesterday.
Jax
Yeah.
Sasha
Talking about how that was, like, a low point of the episode and Sierra's really above that. And I. I was a little afraid to post.
Jax
I know. I was actually surprised that we posted it.
Sasha
Like, I know, because I just feel like, and rightfully so, like, we shouldn't be criticizing Sierra right now. She is the victim. And it's like, it's. It was sort of. It was a very hot take. And I feel like if you say anything in Summerhouse discourse that's not, like, slay, slay, slay Sierra, like, you're the opposition. So I was a little afraid, and I was shocked to see the comments, like, were overwhelmingly agreeing with us that, like, it was just a bad look for Sierra and that Miha is just kind of, like, not the vibe. And so I think that the fact that the clip was so well received speaks to the general tone of, like, how the episode was received. And I think for the first time in this whole saga, it was the first time that Sierra got like something other than just unbridled support and love. And so I don't know if that makes her hate MIHA or. But she, like, I don't know. She. I don't know. Like she did sit there and like support everything she was saying, even though. Yeah, Miha, like I just want to say are not the same.
Jax
But Sierra posting that gif, like there was nothing to do with Miha and her posting that it was Lindsay who made about me right now. Maybe Lindsay knows more than we do and she knows that that is about Miha. But like, I don't even think it's Sierra turning on Miha yet. I think it's just like Lindsay out of nowhere just really calling it like she sees it. And I guess Lindsay's beyond the six hour conversation, which I can forgive. A six hour conversation. Like, listen, apparently had a year long relationship. It's coming to an end. The reunion was the final thing. Six hours, let's get after it. Whatever. But Lindsay saying that MIHA is still talking to west on the phone every day and saying that yesterday.
Sasha
Yeah. I fear that all of this is only sort of supporting and furthering the idea that Miha will be a new castmate on Southern House.
Jax
And but the more that Miha engages with the show, the more it's clear that she should not be on the show. But the show is taking it as like, oh, she's the storyline now, but like, no, she's the storyline. And the, the line is saying no, no, because we felt that way. Other people felt that way. I'm not seeing a lot of like love and hate.
Sasha
Love.
Jax
And, and it's not even that I'm seeing hate for me. I'm seeing a lot of disinterest. And I said to you which is worse? Miha is the dino of Summer House. Yeah, like I care about what's happening on this show yet.
Sasha
Agreed. And also her storyline is very much still connected to west who has been fired. So if we're not gonna hear, if we're not gonna have west on the show. And here's a girl who's like whole thing is that she's still wrapped up with Wes.
Jax
Like that doesn't help, but I think probably the network and maybe some people would find it empowering that it's like he, you know, treated me how the way that he did, thought that that
Sasha
episode with Sierra would be empowering too and it fell flat.
Jax
Yeah, Yeah. I think, you know, the idea that like she. He kept her off the show. He didn't want to put her on the show. He kept her in the dark, and now she took his job. Is like.
Sasha
And she. But, like, the fat. Like, I don't see it that way. But that's also just because I'm a critical thinker.
Jax
On paper, it's an empowering story. In practice. In practice, I'm not liking it.
Sasha
No. What we're not seeing on paper is, like, this person who willingly accepted, like, offensive behavior from her partner and thought that that was a relationship, and it's not. And the only pictures we have of you two are in bed. Was because he wouldn't let you out of the house. Like, he wouldn't be seen with you in public. Like, that's. That is, like, genuinely, like, one of the most hurtful and mean things a guy can do to you. Like, not wanting to be seen with you.
Jax
Yeah. And I mean, I can understand how in the beginning, like, a few months, it's like, we're keeping this under wraps. It's just me and you. Like, let's figure out what this is before we, like, let the world in. But a year.
Sasha
He never let the world in. All of their pictures are indoors.
Jax
Yeah. There was, like, one that looked to be at a game or something, but I'm sure it was, like, classic west with other people around, too.
Sasha
So it's, like, inconspicuous, very sinister. And what are we. Or they or someone like, gonna talk about Wes grandma? Like, what happened to that?
Jax
Thank you. When is someone gonna talk about Wes grandma? And especially for the aftermath. For the aftermath episode. That should have been included because. I'm sorry. His grandma was murdered by his cousin.
Sasha
Cousin.
Jax
The day that he filmed the reunion. That's relevant.
Sasha
Yeah. To your state of mind.
Jax
How's that affecting him and maybe his relationship, like, his. That. We need to talk about the grandma.
Sasha
Perhaps it can inform some of his behavior during the reunion. He was in a state of shock. Like, literally anything.
Jax
No. And it's like, maybe they don't want to complicate the storyline, or maybe they don't want people to have any sympathy for Wes. But, like, we are sorry.
Sasha
It's relevant.
Jax
We are capable of processing multiple emotions at once.
Sasha
It's relevant information. Sorry.
Jax
And it's really the craziest story we ever heard. It was almost crazier than the fact that Amanda and Wes even gave it a go. It was cousin killed their grandma. Step grandma who raised him. The grandma who stepped up.
Sasha
Not the step grandma. The grandma who stepped Up.
Jax
She's the grandma who stepped up. Like, I think she was Gran, like, in their lives.
Sasha
I thought it was like, I thought it was that grandma had passed away and so this was just like the girlfriend.
Jax
No, I don't think she was like a late in life girlfriend. I think it was like a long term girlfriend. So not only have you lost the grandma who stepped up, but your cousin is a murderer.
Sasha
That's the real shocker.
Jax
And if he's not that close with these people, just say that and we can move on. But we need to address it.
Sasha
It hasn't been brought up once. That's. And like, I feel like collectively people have forgotten about it. I have not.
Jax
I forgot. No. And then you reminded me and we need to discuss it and. Yeah, but I guess that's a wrap on West Wilson.
Sasha
Right? So we'll never hear about the grandma. But I. I need one of those true crime podcasts or his podcast.
Jax
His podcast. Why doesn't he talk about it?
Sasha
Because he's too busy, like, being insufferable.
Jax
No, he absolutely needs to talk about it.
Sasha
It.
Jax
Even if it's just to say, like, why he's not talking about it. Like, why he doesn't want to talk about it.
Sasha
Just be like, it's been very curious now. Because no one's talking about it.
Jax
Yeah. Even if he said it's very painful. It's an ongoing investigation. I can't talk about it. But you just meant, like, that it happened or did it even happen?
Sasha
No, it did. Question mark.
Jax
It's a really.
Sasha
What did Sierra mean with by that gif?
Jax
I don't know. I don't know. But Lindsay took it upon herself to,
Sasha
you know, I love Lindsay.
Jax
Swipe at Mija from the side,
Sasha
but I'm shocked that Lindsay's not like, team Miha.
Jax
I know, but Lindsay is a critical thinker, and so not everything is going to be just like, all or nothing. All or nothing. Like, okay, I can support you, but also call you out when you're acting wrong.
Sasha
Yeah.
Jax
Even in her conversation with Amanda was so layered in terms of, like, it wasn't just all hate, all criticism.
Sasha
There was a little support.
Jax
There was support and. And a love and tenderness, while also toughness.
Sasha
Absolutely.
Jax
We'd love to see that from our faves.
Sasha
We do. Holding, like. And at a certain point, like, I. I was looking for one person on this cast to show the tiniest bit of sympathy for Amanda. Like, she's still a human being who deserves, like, life.
Jax
Yeah. Yeah. So while, yes, Miha was Treated wrongly by west for over a year and then ultimately cheated on and broken up by him. Like. And I can have, you know, empathy for you. Why are you talking to him every single day? Continuing doormat behavior.
Sasha
And just her tone. Well, yes, like, kind of admitting what she accepted was a bad look for her. Her tone of the whole thing wasn't giving mad. It wasn't giving over it. It was giving, like, very much petty and it was not mature. That's what I meant when I said that. It was very beneath Sierra.
Jax
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Are you ready for our next story? Little Nick's news.
Sasha
Oh, my God. The parade is happening right now. I heard, first of all, I don't even know when it starts, but I heard that all the checkpoints were completely full by 6am I saw a video of people getting off on the subway station, not being able to go up the stairs. They're saying, stuck in the subway station. My fucking nightmare.
Jax
Yeah, that's really crazy. The parade's happening today. Big, big news. Alicia Keys is set to close out the parade. Probably it's going to be set with the rendition of Empire State of Mind. That will be great.
Sasha
Yeah.
Jax
Also, Ben Stiller is doing a Knicks docu series with a 24 HBO and the NBA after the Knicks championship win. So the series will chronicle the history, culture, and enduring legacy of the Knicks, culminating with the franchise's first NBA championship in 53 years.
Sasha
So I love this. Like, I do think that this, it really, the whole saga has felt like a storybook ending. There's so much history. So explaining it to the world in a documentary format with HBO is great. I think we knew this because Ben Stiller was like, granted access for the last, like, couple of weeks to the Knicks playoffs. He was at every practice, he was like, filming a lot of on his phone horizontally. So people knew that it was a documentary coming. And I just want to say, like, my level of interest in watching Ben Stiller's shaky horizontal iPhone content is a zero. Like, I love this concept. I think Ben Stiller being attached to the project is brilliant. But, like, when. In terms of, when it comes to, like, actual footage captured by him and his backpack and his iPhone, like, I'm good. I could. I have tick tock. Like, I could do that on my own. Bring in a camera.
Jax
Yeah, camera. He went on Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart's podcast called Roommates, and he said, obviously, I've been shooting some stuff on my phone, but it's going to be all about all eras of the Knicks in this team. Obviously there's a culmination here of something that's been going on for a long time. It's super exciting. It's great to have had all this access to your team. We're going to probably be shooting a little bit more during next season and I'm going to hit you guys up for some interviews. It's going to be over the next year that we'll be working on it. A lot of people have wanted to make it happen for a long time.
Sasha
Yeah. No, it's a story that I think like people might not understand. Like I whole fully so having. But I wonder why. It's like Spike Lee who's like an actual Oscar winning like director isn't attached to it.
Jax
I don't know. But I'm not complaining. But a 24 is also on it and so they're probably like the movie makers of this. It sort of reminds me of that Cowboys docu series that we had watched that like tr. It was just like the arc of the Cowboys, but it really like talked about their story, especially in the 90s and their legacy and you know, now they're like in a lullaby but just mapping out the history and like the arc of the team. So I'm sure it will go from like, you know, the last championship till now and just be like a lot more. Even more history than. Than Ben Stiller's iPhone footage.
Sasha
From your mouth to God's ears.
Jax
Maybe they should have gotten Rick Burns.
Sasha
I mean there are so many famous Nick fans. Like I'm sure Mariska Harkit is doing the voiceover like just from the first. Like just.
Jax
He was also filming horizontal just from Celebrity Row.
Sasha
They could put together like a mean cast and crew.
Jax
Yeah.
Sasha
Tracy Morgan doing like stand up for the team. Like a million things.
Jax
Yeah. But I do hope it's like it's quality.
Sasha
Same.
Jax
The same. The way the Cowboys was, was really quality. The way like you know, the New York Rick Burns series. Like just like lots of archival footage.
Sasha
Yeah.
Jax
And. And for everyone, like not just. Not just like hardcore Knicks fans. Like a real storytelling.
Sasha
Yeah. And I think it's probably obviously because they won. It's a good time. But like so many of the players from the last championship that they won, like 1972 are still alive. Like those Knicks legends and they like travel with the team and stuff. So like getting those stories.
Jax
Yeah. Like the Michael Irvin of the. Of the Knicks. That's like the. The Cowboys had documentary.
Sasha
I was like. I think you're saying Patrick Ewing.
Jax
You said Patrick Ewing. Wrong.
Sasha
Like Walt Frasier and Bill Bradley. Yeah, that's right. I know the legends.
Jax
Legends.
Sasha
We will.
Jax
Oh, also, a little more Nick's news was that Timothy Chalamet, Kylie Jenner were spotted biking on city bikes.
Sasha
Oh, yeah. A little more Nick's news.
Jax
She's whipped.
Sasha
Yeah, she was City biking in ballet flats, which, like, is so crazy.
Jax
Yeah.
Sasha
I will say, like, city bikes are, like, image wise, very cool. It's a well maintained program we have here. Like, the bikes. I feel like a lot of times when you just, like, leave a bike out in the street, like, it becomes like an encampment. No, it's, like, very well maintained. It's secure. I wonder if, like, they did the one time pass or if, like, Timothy has an annual. They're pretty clean given it's, like, public. So, like, I. I think it's insane that Kylie's on.
Jax
It's insane. She's on a city.
Sasha
But in the city, like, city bikes are very. Chicago. It's very. The great equalizer. Like, the subway. Like, every. Oh, you see celebrities on the subway. Like, it is the most effective way of getting around the city. Like, Andy Cohen's on it. Every morning you can see celebrities on the subway. It's kind of the same goes for City Bank. Like, it looks crazy, but it's actually not.
Jax
No, it's so crazy. And she could have had, like, you know, a Schwinn delivered to her door if, like, she had the idea that she wanted to go biking. I think it's absolutely insane that she's on the city bike.
Sasha
But, like, if you have a show
Jax
in love because, you know, this was Timothy's idea.
Sasha
If you have a Schwinn, like, then you have to park the Schwinn Bodyguard.
Jax
She started in the garbage.
Sasha
This was definitely Timothy's idea. And I just want to say, like, yes, I have city biked as well. So, like, Kylie and I have that in common.
Jax
Where did you city bike to him? Was it your idea?
Sasha
It was. I don't know whose idea it was. Ben and I did it. It was when I was an NYU student, but I was, like, living uptown, so we were like, should be city bike. And we just like, like, tried to get as much uptown as we could. It was like, a beautiful day and we were like, obviously on crack. I've done it a couple of times. I don't, like, like, the thing where they have, like, a little area for your bag and there's like, a strap that goes over it. It's not secure enough. Like, if you have precious cargo, like, you really can't.
Jax
Yeah, like, oh, she. She's wearing a mini bag, but she did put it in the basket with
Sasha
like, you see that, like one little strap over it. It's not. It's not secure, in my opinion.
Jax
No. No. Oh, my God, she's so in love.
Sasha
Like, seriously, ballet flats, like, I just know she has blisters.
Jax
Yeah. Yeah. They do look cute though. They always do.
Sasha
I am looking forward to seeing the Knicks parade, like on tv. I imagine it's amazing to be there, but I saw a girl who like, literally got front row bleacher. She was there at 2:30 this morning.
Jax
Like, it was a hair name. Ben Saffer.
Sasha
Yeah. Right. Life hack is like having an apartment that like looks over the street where the parade is. It's all the way downtown, like by city hall.
Jax
Yeah.
Sasha
It's actually like, it's a lot of like public office buildings.
Jax
No. And it's like you would live there for 53 years before you get to one morning.
Sasha
Right.
Jax
Or you can just wake up at 2:30 once and live wherever you want.
Sasha
I like, that's a good trade.
Jax
Are you ready for our next story?
Sasha
If it's our next story that's brought to you by Truvia, It's Trivia Allulose plus stevia sweetener and Monk fruit sweetener. So with the familiar taste and performance of sugar, it helps making cutting back feel easier rather than restrictive. So it swaps in at a one to one ratio with sugar so you can use it confidently and your favorite recipes with no adjustments needed. We are a Truvia household. We have been for years. Shout out to Jax. She did put me on to Truvia. And now this Truvia Placevia sweetener and Monk fruit Sweetener is so popular. It's so good. I love trivia. I'm like a real believer. And I love the. The ratios being equal because if you're gonna swap something, like, I'm just like, I need a low lift swap. I need you to make my life easy. So if I'm out here with my measuring cup, it's just not gonna work well. No, it swaps in at a one to one ratio.
Jax
And your calculator correct.
Sasha
It blends Allulose with stevia sweetener and Monk fruit sweetener. So it delivers a mellow, well rounded sweetness, but without the sharp aftertaste. It's also very adaptable, so it works well in drinks and baked goods. I use it in my coffee, but it also does in sauces. Savory meals. The Truvia Allulose Plastivia sweetener and Monk fruit Sweetener combines three complementary sweeteners to create a sugar like taste. But it has zero calories per serving. It's delish. If you're looking for a swap. Highly recommend. If you're a trivia household or or or not, I highly recommend becoming one. We're really big fans and this new Truvia Allulose plus TV sweetener and monk fruit sweetener is par delish. We love. We highly recommend. Whether it's you know, I know you're in your baking era.
Jax
Oh yeah, let me make you a peach cobbler. I love to use zero calorie sugar and truvia for my baking because like then we can have like sweet treats all the time and we don't have to feel so bad.
Sasha
Today's episode is also brought to you by BetterHelp. So with summer being here, how do you thrive? How do you I do with better turt well by taking better care of yourself. Or really anyone who's ever been on a dating app and felt like they had to create a polished, you know, fake version of themselves just to keep up because nobody has energy for that at this point. If you don't want to invent a new personality for an app because you already have one, we really like Highly Dating App. First of all, highly is an acronym. It stands for hey, I like you. Because that level of honesty, I think feels really refreshing in the dating app space. What makes Highly Dating App different is that it's built for people who are over the whole pretending thing. You're not trying to seem cooler, funnier, or more mysterious than you actually are. You're just dating as yourself, which should be normal. It's not like a revelatory, yeah, revelatory concept, but somehow it does feel groundbreaking in the modern dating era. Clearly people are responding to it. Highly Dating App has been downloaded over 42 million times worldwide. It has hundreds of thousands of monthly active active users and millions of matches happening every year. It's also become one of the top five dating apps in the US App Store. We love that the app is very thoughtful. They're smart matching learns your preferences based on interests, compatibility, who you like, who you skip, and it just gets better over time. They also have X and clicks which helps you check compatibility beyond just photos. And they offer Major Crush, which lets you make the first move without making it like into a whole event. Major bonus is that Highly Dating App has a consent guard which blocks unsolicited inappropriate messages right away. Again, something else that should be standard practice in the modern dating era, but sadly it is not. Download the Highly Dating App from the App Store or Google play or visit h I l y.com highly.com and date as you are with the Highly Dating App. Today's episode is also brought to you by Built Rewards. Jax
thank you Sash Turt.
Sasha
You're welcome.
Jax
Our next story, Dancing with the Stars cast member announced they have added Jimmy Kimmel sidekick Guillermo Rodriguez as a contestant for season 35.
Sasha
I love this like but yes, it's Guillermo's time.
Jax
Yes, Guillermo shall be the Andy Richter of the season. I believe a hundred percent.
Sasha
It is like very ABC Hulu Disney synergy. He is a star on abc.
Jax
It's Pargy. I'm so excited.
Sasha
Of course I love when they pluck like influencer reality stars but I do
Jax
like a well rounded cast.
Sasha
Yeah. And I love this. It's an unexpected choice. So who do we know? So for Rob Mora, Sierra, Guillermo, Savannah Bananas. Right five. His name is Jackson.
Jax
I think Jackson Claude Jackson, Claudrod Stewart.
Sasha
That's who's got my vote.
Jax
Do we know Rob? I feel like we made that up.
Sasha
It's not confirmed but Morris confirmed.
Jax
More is confirmed. Sierra's confirmed.
Sasha
Like honestly my vote is up for grabs. None of my, like, absolute faves are in. Like, I love Maura. I love Sierra. But, like, my number ones have not been cast yet. So, like, with last season, I was like, well, Alex, Earl has my vote, you know?
Jax
Yeah.
Sasha
Kind of obvious.
Jax
Well, we haven't. We still have probably, like, 10 more people. We're gonna find out.
Sasha
Yeah, but you never can, like, guess who's gonna be your fave. Of course I fell for Andy Richter.
Jax
Right, Right. Who was I voting for? Let me check.
Sasha
Oh, yeah.
Jax
My texts are like, I need to search, like, Whitney.
Sasha
Whitney.
Jax
Let's see. Oh, my God, I found it. Okay. I was voting for Andy and Jen. Andy and Jen. Whitney, Alex.
Sasha
Oh, you were voting for Jen, your postpartum, like, sister.
Jax
Oh, and Elaine got a couple of my votes. Elaine, Elaine, Elaine. Elaine. Oh, I really like athletes.
Sasha
Yet whether they usually pluck from, like, the major sports leagues, the Olympics, maybe, like, a FIFA World cup soccer star will like, someone from the American team. Honestly.
Jax
Brooklyn Beckham.
Sasha
Wait, did you see part two?
Jax
No.
Sasha
Part two of the commercial was released. There was no big reveal. It was this. It was the same thing. He basically orders doordash and gives the stack of tickets which he had just
Jax
thrown on his driver.
Sasha
He gives it to the driver, and it's like, leave them somewhere fun. And I guess they're, like, giving away tickets. That's the whole concept. He's like, oh, I don't need them. It's like, yeah, because you're an unemployed slob.
Jax
I'm like, hold on.
Sasha
No, it. The wondering why I'm watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home, not wondering. It's not like I don't have tickets. It's because it's a long story for brother. Yes, these can go to someone else. Hey, put them somewhere fun.
Jax
Why couldn't the driver have them? Oh, so the whole concept is that he's giving away his tickets because he doesn't want to be with his family because he's disgusting.
Sasha
Right? Yeah. So you're saying your family gave you tickets and you won't go because you
Jax
won't be near your family, so he's give them to someone else. But why can't you give. Why can't the doordash driver have them for him and his family?
Sasha
I want to say that at this present moment, there is nobody in modern media or culture who I currently hold a lower opinion of than Brooklyn Beckham.
Jax
He is.
Sasha
I was a little. I was on the bridge. I was on the fence. I was always Team David. But I could understand Him. I now have a severe dislike for him.
Jax
He is Prince Harry.
Sasha
Yes.
Jax
Like, what they've done is the same. And then, like, what they're doing is the same.
Sasha
Begging for privacy. Privacy. Showing me your vagina.
Jax
No. And, like, stop. You can have a rift with your family. You can find them to be, like, toxic. And it's not. It's not the right environment for you and your feelings. Things to tell the whole world, like, the dirty details of what happened between you all is so classless to monetize off of it. And especially at your such a high level. You're. It's not like you're some, like, Z lister who needs to keep the wheel spinning. You're at such a high level. Your wife is a billionaire. You are a millionaire. Your parents, her parents. Same with Megan and Harry. They have, you know, opportunities for days. You didn't need to do it.
Sasha
Yeah. And also the Beckhams are. I don't even want to say a list. There are an upper echelon of fame. They're very global. He's, you know, knighted by the queen. Like, they're on the same level as at one point, like Harry and Meghan. The Obamas.
Jax
Yes.
Sasha
Very upper echelon. So all in all, I've never disliked someone more. I. Knowing that he doesn't need the money. A lot of times I can make more excuses for people who, like, need the money.
Jax
Yes. You know, like a reality star who thrives off of this and it will pay their next thing. Like, okay, but they have so much money.
Sasha
And it warmed my heart to open up the comments and see everyone agreed with me tenfold. Like, just the disrespect. They're hard people to dislike. Like, sometimes. Like, I think a lot of people with Harry and Megan were rooting for them in the beginning because, like, you could come up with a million reasons to dislike the royal family. Right. There's really not a lot you can dislike about the Beckhams. They're beloved in sports, in fashion, in music in the UK and America. Like, people just love them. So to go out on your own and never give us a good reason and now, like, monetize it and you just look like a spoiled brat. No one. It's really hard to get people on your side here, Brooklyn.
Jax
No. And to, like, tell us the thing. Some of the things that happen which were clearly the worst things that happened because you're trying to get us on your side and it's like that your mother loves you so much and it did a dance at Your wedding and you didn't feel like it was special enough for you? Like, shut up.
Sasha
No one. Also, like, everyone on a big and a small scale has, like, mother in law drama at their wedding. Like, like, you leave it at the wedding.
Jax
Yeah, yeah.
Sasha
That's just what it is.
Jax
Yeah.
Sasha
Sorry.
Jax
Yeah, that's really crazy.
Sasha
I hate him. What was the story that led into this?
Jax
Guillermo. Guillermo.
Sasha
Oh, yeah. Oh. So I don't know why I brought him up. Oh, because FIFA World Cup. Yeah. They're gonna have athletes.
Jax
What if they had Brooklyn Beckham?
Sasha
I'm telling you, like, that's the level that we're at.
Jax
I mean, Meghan and Harry could be on next. She's apparently. That would be good. I mean, I can't ever trust the headlines. But, like, people are saying she's like, really in, like, trouble because they have like $5 million worth of as ever inventory that's about to expire.
Sasha
Because it's like, oh, I saw the as ever inventory issue. It's possible. Although they were always selling out. So how are they right? People fake sell out.
Jax
A lot of people fake sellout so they can create demand and then release it again. That's like a normal business practice.
Sasha
That's like a smart marketing strategy.
Jax
Yeah, it's marketing.
Sasha
I don't know of all their, like, things. I don't think, like, as ever is going to be the thing that, like. Because also Netflix. What, they had investors. Like, I don't think as ever is going to be the thing that financially breaks. Well, no, but, like, maybe. I think maybe what's going to break them is never fulfilling any of their commitments.
Jax
I don't think this will financially break them, but, like, who's going to really take a chance on them again? Yeah, all the inventory is paid for and she has investors. And this I don't think, but, like, this is. If this, this goes down, like, it is such a stain. Add it to the list of stains.
Sasha
Well, yeah, it's not a bigger stain than anything else, but at some point they will have knocked down every door. Whether it's, you know, partners to stream with people to invest. They're kind of running out of options,
Jax
let me tell you. Flicks, I'm.
Sasha
I did the Disney.
Jax
I'm on the website. And the shit's pargy. The shit is pargy. I've gotten the jams. They're so good.
Sasha
My husband devoured.
Jax
It is insane that she cannot sell these things. And it just speaks to, like, the lack of relationship she's established with any fan Base that she's had.
Sasha
She did not cultivate, she did not move smart. I feel like after many years, she finally decided to, like, lean into the home space with the cooking show and then the products. But it was so fast. It was so quick. We've got one season. Here's my jams and my edible flowers. It should have been a long, slow roll post cook over the course.
Jax
Over the course of years. That's. Yeah.
Sasha
It was such a cash grab. So clearly it. People did not respond to it because it was so. But we were just doing books. Like, it was just not cohesive. If she had. Over the course of many years, like, started releasing, like, high quality Instagram content recipes, brought back the tig, did more lifestyle, then did a show, then launched a brand. It was like we went from one
Jax
thing to the next.
Sasha
You were also doing Confessions of a Female Founder while selling jam. Like it was so not cohesive and
Jax
like you're learning, learning on the show. So you're not an expert yet.
Sasha
Your show is, like, explaining to us that you don't know how to do anything right.
Jax
So why are we going to treat you like an expert? I just want to say I'm on the site. The complete as ever pantry box. So it's like one of everything. It's on sale and it looks really good. I kind of want to buy it. So here's what comes.
Sasha
But save that apricot jam. Ben loved it.
Jax
Raspberry spread. Orange marmalade. Strawberry spread. Yeah.
Sasha
Oh, that was it.
Jax
Orange marmalade, honeysuckle, lemon ginger tea. There's a candle.
Sasha
Flowers.
Jax
Candle flower sprinkles.
Sasha
Of course.
Jax
Lots of teas.
Sasha
You should buy it.
Jax
I kind of want it. But is it, like, about to expire? Oh, she has chocolates.
Sasha
You have to buy it, like, just for the research. Maybe we'll do like an unboxing or something.
Jax
It's actually insane that this website looks so much like the Buckingham palace gift shop website. And it's like if. If you wanted to sell jams, like, you could have had a jam line over there. Yeah. The final jam.
Sasha
They are going back to the uk. I don't know if you saw. Big news. They're taking the kids.
Jax
What are they doing there?
Sasha
I'm not sure what it was for, but it's, like, historic for them because I don't think they've brought the kids back yet. I think the last two or the only two times they've gone.
Jax
Yeah.
Sasha
Have been solo.
Jax
Yeah. Because of the security.
Sasha
Right.
Jax
I didn't mean to like promote her products. But I'm feeling very influenced right now.
Sasha
Like, listen, cream rises and they have a bundle or what you are. If your shit's good, your shit's good.
Jax
They have a bundle called the Go to Hostess gift. And so like now I want to get it for like the next time I go to someone's house. What an amazing gift. It's on sale for $132.
Sasha
That's just kind of how I feel about Ben Platt. You know, the cream rises like the shit's good. Like.
Jax
Yeah. But it's like everything here, she has everything that it takes to like, you know, she has the branding, the website, the infrastructure.
Sasha
Yeah.
Jax
And the, and, and the manufacturing and the customers. Because it's like this should be Ballerina farm.
Sasha
Yeah. No, and if she had been more thoughtful about it like from the get, just wanted to become like a, like a Martha Stewart. She just should have been more thoughtful. They were just so obvious in their cash grab and I understand that they had needs security, yada yada. It was not thoughtfully done.
Jax
No. She should like.
Sasha
And they are the, the definition of overexposed.
Jax
Yeah. But like, I don't know the entity. Like they should sell it, like white label it to someone else and give the keys to someone who could like turn it on someone else. To turn the lights on someone else.
Sasha
You like. It should be as ever, Jacques with. With Love Foley.
Jax
With Love Foley. I love that. I love that.
Sasha
Just something to think about.
Jax
Oh my gosh. Me.
Sasha
What was the story? Oh, Brooklyn Beckham, Guillermo. Was that. That was the fourth story?
Jax
It was sort of the fourth story. I do have another fifth one which is like the rumors are starting to come out about what happened between Jelly Roll and Bunny.
Sasha
Oh my God. What are they saying? I haven't heard this.
Jax
So behind the scenes they're saying that it's due to changing lifestyles, which some of this does like track based on what's going on in the public. Sources are saying some people around them felt there was growing tension as Jelly has embraced a more faith centered lifestyle. While Bunny continued building the outspoken and provocative brand that had always been authentic to her. Whether that's fair or not, it became increasingly difficult to reconcile those two worlds. The insider claims a lot of people want to point to one thing, but it was really a combination of issues that have been building for years. They came from similar worlds when they met and bonded over surviving difficult circumstances. But over time, their lives started moving in different directions. Jelly has changed tremendously over the last few years. His focus Shifted to his health, faith, family, and the long term legacy he wants to leave behind. Bunny, on the other hand, you know, just two days ago, sharing steamy photo of herself wearing satin lingerie with, like, her strap coming down and she captioned it. She's getting her sparkle back. The person said. Bunny has always unapologetically been herself. And while that's something Jelly's admired about her, there were times when it felt like they were no longer aligned with where he saw his life heading or what he envisioned for the future. Also, she has opened up in January about how they were trying to have a baby via ivf. Yes. So there were difficult conversations about expanding their family timing and what they both wanted their future to look like. Those discussions became more complicated as his career continued to explode.
Sasha
You know what, Actually, that does make sense. I did think that a lot of his, like, transition to, like, faith music content, like, felt a little performative in the sense that, like, he saw a space for himself, like, in the music industry and. But it's good to know that that was just like a wrong feeling that I had. And it actually is how he's changed in real life. So much so that he can't even be with his wife anymore because she's like, not on his level. I thought it was like a little bit of like a career move, like a convenient position for him to take. But good to know that that's wrong. Not true.
Jax
Yeah. Oh, I didn't. I don't think too hard about his, like, values, you know, because I'm just like.
Sasha
It always felt so corny. Like when. Even when he made his speeches, just like, very drama and I'm here because of the Lord. Like, it was very like, oh, interesting. Such change. I was like, oh, you just like, want to now be like, he did a lot of music with Brandon. What's his name?
Jax
Brandon Lake. Yeah. Hard for Hallelujah.
Sasha
Yeah. Which was great. I thought it was just maybe like he saw success there so he leaned more into it. But no, it's actually like a real change he's going through.
Jax
Oh, interesting. I didn't like, really know him before he became like this guy. So that's always like, sort of what I saw him as. I just figured like, the. The Enlightenment happened like, after his incarceration and whatnot. And he's just like, been on this better. But also like, it's evident that he' changing on his health. Like, look at him. He's a different person. And he probably. He's doing five keys with Turdy, like, He.
Sasha
Right.
Jax
Has, you know, those sorts of things. People grow apart in that way. But it's really crazy to think about that they could, like, survive the craziest things, but not just like, a little. A little reluctantly loving.
Sasha
You know what's funny is that, like, Jelly Roll is, like, such a famous person who's gone through, like, such a dramatic weight loss, and there's been, like, no think pieces or discussions made about whether or not he used Ozempic. Like, I imagine that he did. Right. It's just funny. Like, nobody cares. Like, I think of, like, Lizzo or, like, people who have lost, as we are always did. They did that. They're so. Especially for, like, women. Like, we're always obsessed with whether or not they did Ozempic or weight loss surgery or how did they do it. Like, how did Jelly Will do it? I'm sure he talked about it. Like, I'm sure he, like, it's not a big discussion.
Jax
Yeah. Let's see. Has he just, like, said he's on GLP1s and I'm sure he is.
Sasha
Like, you're overweight your whole life, and, like, only recently you lost weight. It's like, because there's this new amazing thing.
Jax
And that's also, like, everyone who's always been, like, you know, extra 10 pounds, like, who's all of a sudden, like, rail thin, GLB1. Yeah.
Sasha
Katy Perry definition. She's always been fit.
Jax
Yeah.
Sasha
But she's.
Jax
She's never been this.
Sasha
She's lean. She is. She's not one ounce of fat on her. So it's like, oh, what changed?
Jax
Oh. So Jelly Roll's approach to weight loss initially involved considering a GLP1 medication, but he ultimately decided to achieve his transformation naturally. Sure. I mean, that's like Kris Jenner saying, I didn't like GLP1s, but I'm on a peptide.
Sasha
Well, peptides. I just saw the funniest tweet. You know, they're selling peptides. Peptides are, like, about to become so mass market, they're selling them at bodegas. There was a bodega that had signed, come get your peptides. What is a peptide?
Jax
What the is a peptide?
Sasha
I don't know what it is, but, like, when I'm done having babies, like, I'm gonna be on every single one. Like, right now, I'm a little bit more particular.
Jax
Like, people will be like, there's a peptide for your skin, for your hair. Like, like, there. There's a what now?
Sasha
Wait, I just saw Tik Tok. There's actually a peptide, cuz. Okay, what does that mean?
Jax
There's a peptide?
Sasha
I think it means an injection.
Jax
Okay, but why aren't we saying it's an injection?
Sasha
Cuz it maybe I think. Don't quote me on this, it's a hormone.
Jax
But also my Haley Bieber lips are peptide.
Sasha
Right? Well, I heard there's a peptide an injection that like causes a melanin production. So it's like instead of getting spray tans, you can actually produce more melanin in your skin. Because I saw Tick Tock being like. I thought there was like a bad spray tan epidemic, but it turns out a lot of celebrities are now taking this peptide. I forgot the name of it. To produce melanin.
Jax
Very interesting. Anyone that we can look to?
Sasha
I don't want to say who because it was just speculation, but who are
Jax
they speculating of a leg?
Sasha
Ella Langley. That's funny because if you look at pictures of celebrities in the past who were just like, like you know, paler and well it could be. Or it could be the peptide.
Jax
That is very interesting. Yeah, but so, yeah, like oh, so jelly roll take. Not on GLP ones.
Sasha
But all I'm saying is like think about how many times we've like thought and talked extensively about like a public weight loss. Even if they denied it, we're like, well this, she's definitely on it. Like nobody cares how jelly rolls losing his weight.
Jax
Like just men aren't really interesting to me.
Sasha
That's beautiful.
Jax
Like personally, that's why I'm not asking.
Sasha
Yeah, no. And men weight loss is not personally interesting.
Jax
Male weight loss is not interesting because it's so simple.
Sasha
It's like you eat less and you lose weight a lot. Yeah, right. With a woman it's like you have three grapes in a day and you gain a pound. Like it's just. That's interesting.
Jax
Yeah. And I, I can't relate to male weight loss. I, I don't find it interesting and I don't care. That's why personally I'm harder on the women. If you were wondering like my biases about you personally.
Sasha
Yeah.
Jax
Yeah. Though I don't feel like I'm harder on. I don't feel like I'm hard on one.
Sasha
You know what's so funny is
Jax
it's true.
Sasha
You keep her your foot on her neck. Actually it's funny because I did a Q and A yesterday and somebody asked me a question and it was so true. Cuz like we're sort of like we're very desensitized now to oic. But there was a time where it was like a witch hunt, right? Like, and I remember I used to, like, live in fear that people would find me out. I was like, girl, it couldn't be more obvious. Like, you've been fat forever. But, like, someone was like, do you feel resentful that, like, now people are on it all the time? It's like, we don't even question it. We don't like witch hunt. It's like, so desensitized. Whereas, like, when you were on it, it was like the. The spe. She was like, do you feel resentful? And I was like, well, yeah, now that you've put it that way.
Jax
I do.
Sasha
Like, I never thought about it, but it's like the. The way we even just now, so casually I said, like, Katy Perry's probably on his epic. It used to be this, like, very hot button issue.
Jax
Yeah. Yeah, I guess it was.
Sasha
It's just deflated now. It's like, well, yeah, everyone's on it.
Jax
Yeah.
Sasha
And the thing that people said was going to happen, like, did happen, which is everyone is super, super skinny. Like, the body standard has. Has really shifted. The plus size movement is over. We are not body positive. Like, we're losing weight. Like, everything they said was going to happen because of Ozempic did happen, but also, like, obese people are less obese. And, like, I think that's great.
Jax
Yeah.
Sasha
Like, people who clinically needed it. Like, yeah, we're all talking about, like, Ariana Grande, but, like, what about, like, the People Jelly Roll special? Yeah, right. What about Jelly Roll? It's the Ariana Grande to Jelly Roll pipeline.
Jax
Like, so we have. And that's what you were talking about with her. It's like, you want to also be critical about. About very overweight people if you're going to be critical about very underweight people. And. And that's. If you want to name them, like, that's fine with me.
Sasha
Well, I'm not gonna name them, but I did just see something that, like, it was very much what I was saying. It was a video of, like, a severely overweight celebrity. And the comments were like, why aren't we, like, saying Ariana? Why aren't the comments here, like, Ariana Grande.
Jax
Text me who it was. And then, like, if you're feeling brave,
Sasha
you could share because I'm never gonna say it.
Jax
Oh, my gosh. I'm so curious who it is. I kind of have a thought of who it could be. Oh, interesting. I thought you were gonna say this Person's not severely overweight, but, like, they've obviously gotten.
Sasha
No, no, no. Like, there's. I'm talking about, like, being fat is like, I'm fat right now. Like, and being fat is not that. I'm talking about, like, severe, like, morbid obesity.
Jax
Understood. Okay. Yeah, Yeah.
Sasha
I don't think if someone's, like, currently, like, like, carrying, I want to say, up to 40 extra pounds. Like, they need their comments to be like, you're in danger. Like, how. It's really extreme. Ariana Grande. Right?
Jax
Yeah. There's just not a lot of celebrities.
Sasha
There's not.
Jax
Yeah. So there's like, two.
Sasha
Everyone's gonna know who I'm talking about.
Jax
I actually don't think so. I never would have guessed.
Sasha
Okay.
Jax
Okay. That's your show. Yeah, that's your show, you guys. And that's your week of toast.
Sasha
Yes. If you're looking for more content, I just uploaded a new Patreon. Not to be like, so drama, but people do always, like, ask about my hair.
Jax
So I try to make hair.
Sasha
I try to do a hair tutorial every, like, two years because it does change. And my hair tutorial has actually recently changed a lot for Dear media. By night, I got my hair professionally glammed and my girl Allison, like, like, she was using all this, like, new stuff and I had her send me links. So kind of major changes. I stopped using the Dyson Air app. Yeah, it's all. And then I also.
Jax
I stopped using a Dyson Air app. Ama.
Sasha
Yeah. And I also did an ama, answered a bunch of questions about, like, actually shared some, like, secret project. I didn't even tell you about it. Like, I shared, like, a couple of secret project reveals. I was just kind of being a big mouth and I shared just, like, some stuff. Q and a hair tutorial in depth.
Jax
I seriously can with you.
Sasha
Yeah, I know.
Jax
Like, years of work.

Episode Title: “I'm Looking Forward to Cracking Up”
Hosts: Jackie & Claudia Oshry (aka Jax & Sasha)
Date: June 18, 2026
In this lively Thursday episode—the final Toast of the week due to Juneteenth—the sisters dive into their recent routines, pop culture drama, TV bingeing, and the latest in celebrity and reality TV news. The theme of looking forward to joyful moments (“cracking up”) weaves through lighthearted personal updates and deeper reflections on high-profile interviews, reality TV sagas, New York Knicks celebrations, and shifting standards in pop culture. Laughter, critical thinking, and a trademark blend of snarky and warm commentary run throughout.
On internet hate and empathy:
“The fact that there is a person on this earth who could find one negative thing to say about Emily Kaiser… it really speaks to the evil of human nature.” —Sasha (03:49)
On Olivia Wilde’s public scrutiny:
“When I talk about, like, insufferable… fake feminists, I’m always low key talking about Olivia Wilde. She’s the example in my head.” —Sasha (22:06)
On reality TV scrutiny and empowerment:
“On paper it’s an empowering story. In practice, I’m not liking it.” —Jax (35:35)
Comedy as self-care:
“I'm looking forward to cracking up. It's one of my favorite hobbies.” —Sasha (10:40)
Celebrity family drama:
“There are hard people to dislike… so to go out on your own—never give us a good reason—and now monetize it… you just look like a spoiled brat. No one… it’s really hard to get people on your side here, Brooklyn.” —Sasha (58:30)
This episode is a perfect encapsulation of The Toast’s blend: rapid-fire conversation, sisterly banter, sharp pop culture analysis, and a recurring thread of both “cracking up” and critical thinking about the way women (and men) are treated across media. Whether you’re invested in Love Island routines, Knicks lore, influencer drama, or the fate of peanut butter snacks, this one is loaded with laughs, hot takes, and a little bit of soul.
