A
It's your favorite show.
B
The best five things you need to know.

B
They sound amazing.
A
Welcome back to the toast and Happy Tuesday. Hope everybody's having. Yeah, it's Tuesday, right?
B
Wednesday. Yeah. A little gift. A gift of the Wednesday.
A
Are you sure? Oh, my God. Yeah.
B
A gift of the hump Dairies, much like Cynthia Rivo.
A
I did not know that was happening. Oh, my goodness. Happy Wednesday. Oh, that's just like, kind of changes everything.
B
Your frown upside down.
A
Yeah. Madame Marable, it's giving Wicked Wednesday.
B
Wicked Wednesday. It's very exciting to be here with you on this Wednesday. I was saying. We are adjourned with cojure.
A
Consider court Adjourner.
B
Yeah. Your next podcast.
A
Yeah.
B
Like, weigh in on legal issues about the Baldoni case.
A
Three people will listen to it.
B
We're adjourned with cojourned.
A
Well, thank you all for joining with.
B
Me today for journey.
A
For Journey Journeys Sojourners Rural Juror. Hope everybody's having a fabulous Wednesday. We have a fabulous show planned for you guys. We are two fabulous girls, so it's a sort of baseline fabulousness. We've got great stories. We watched a ton of TV last night. We've got Tell Me lies recap. We both. Both watched the season premier of Summer House, so we're just kind of like, I don't know, have our fingers on the pulse today. Some days we don't have our fingers on the pulse. Today we do.
B
Yeah. I wonder what's preferred, you know, for.
A
The episodes where we're like, on it or not on it.
B
I. I think there's a nice mix, and I think that's what makes it so.
A
So great. It's like you never know what to expect. Is this going to be a Pulse Y episode?
B
It's like we're on the pulse to a degree.
A
We're like sort of pulse adjacent.
B
But it's not like we're gonna be all pulse all the time.
A
No. You know who I feel like is all pulse all the time? Like the Vile Files. Like, they watch every TV show. They watch it early. Like they have the episode up at 6 in the morning. So you like we are like, pulse adjacent.
B
Yeah, we dabble with pulse.
A
Yeah, we pulse here, we pulse there.
B
Dabble with low pulse.
A
God forbid. Heaven forbid. Low pulse.
B
I have a runner's pulse. That's what Dr. Fox told me because my pulse is low. You know me. I don't get worked up.
A
Can I feel your pulse?
B
Yeah. Do you know about pulse in what sounds?
A
I know how to find the pulse.
B
Okay, but, like, how would you know if it's slower, fast?
A
I don't know. And, like, your watch is kind of in the way. Give me your other hand.
B
I'll take my watch off.
A
Why don't you want to give me your other hand?
B
Crossing over.
A
Okay.
B
It's not, like, a good look for me.
A
Relax. Yeah. I have to focus so hard. Hold on.
B
It's like. I think.
A
No, it's feeling.
B
Not here, but I feel like it, like, throws up your balance.
A
Are you dead?
B
That's what I'm saying.
A
Over time, I can't find this.
B
That's what I'm saying.
A
You guys, I literally feel nothing.
B
Hold on.
A
Maybe I'm in the wrong spot.
B
Let me see if I can feel it, and I show you where it is. Do you want to know what's not on the pulse?
A
It's checking each other's pulses. If this is like a silent podcast where we look for.
B
It's checking each other's pulses on the show, but. Yeah, no.
A
Why is finding a pulse so hard? I literally.
B
Literally. Oh, I found mine here. I'm alive.
A
That's good.
B
I'm alive.
A
But, yeah, I don't know if I am.
B
I have a low pulse. Dr. Fox said, you know me, I don't breathe a lot. I take one big sigh, like, every five minutes.
A
Yeah, I feel like I did that when I was pregnant. It's like, oh, yeah, breathe.
B
No, I. I'm a big sire. People will hear it, like, from the other room. They're like, you okay? I'm like, yeah, I just took my.
A
Breath for the day. Kind of big news for me, seeing of medical things like the pulse. I got my biopsy results yesterday, and they were. I'm not 100% sure that she was, like, kind of confusing me on the phone. I was looking for the words benign, non cancerous, and I didn't hear either of those. So I was like, oh, great, I have cancer. Then she told me what it was, and thank God I wrote it down, because I googled it, and they said what I googled is a benign, non cancerous, mild to moderate, mild to moderate, atypical nevis. Okay, so. And thank you. It's benign, non cancerous. Like, I just wish they had said that. Like, I have a real problem with the delivery of the results.
B
Are the keywords however they need? They need you. They do still up those bills.
A
Yeah, they do still want me to come in, of course. Like I just can't. Like I will, I will. But all I was looking for was benign, non cancerous. And I didn't get that. So I literally was sitting here after the show and I totally had forgotten.
B
Because I'm just calling front of a bunch of people. She was like, film me.
A
I just feel like if I made it like so not a big deal, like I wasn't going to have cancer, you know, like if I had to step out, it's like, well, that's when you hear that you have cancer so it wouldn't happen.
B
Like in a room full of people.
A
Yeah. With all my co workers and my peers. Cuz I am peerless. I just feel like they weren't going to say malignant. And it turns out they didn't say malignant, but they didn't say benign either. So the results were questionable.
B
They said aladene.
A
They literally said.
B
They still said alade.
A
Quite literally.
B
That's how confusing it was.
A
So that's what I did yesterday. Sort of like crazy times for me.
B
Understood. Will we together yesterday? Oh, we got our nails done.
A
I already chipped mine. Like seriously kill me.
B
Oh, I'm happy to go back, switch my color. We'll do that.
A
And then I watched a lot of TV for my job.
B
Yeah, me as well. Tell me lies. Summer house. Very exciting. So many thoughts.
A
So many thoughts.
B
So many.
A
When does real houses of Beverly Hills come out?
B
Thursdays. Which is not.
A
No, it's today. It's Wednesdays.
B
Oh, Wednesday, great. And I feel like something else is coming out soon too.
A
On Bravo or just like in the universe.
B
Bravo. Maybe.
A
The new Bravo adjacent show for the old Roni women has a name. They're calling it the Golden Life. I guess a spin on like how they're in their golden years. They're the Golden Girls. Like older women living their best life. And I feel like they're really close. It also does say it's a working title, so it's subject to change. It's called the Go. The Golden Year. The Golden Girl. Wait, the Golden Life. The Golden Life, parentheses, working title. So I, I think they're really close to the title. I hope they continue to work it because I like the concept of like they're in the Golden State living their golden years. And I'm sure like Golden Girls is like trademarked. They're almost there. The golden life isn't working for me.
B
The Golden State is California, but it's definitely the Sunshine State.
A
My bad. My bad. Which is golden.
B
I do like the word golden. I think there's a lot there work with. When I first heard Golden Life, I was like, huh? And then I was like, oh, yeah. Golden years know gold glow. I think there's a lot of potential. They put out a video of, like, all the housewives announcing the obsessed with these ladies. Like, and it was so turned into.
A
It was so golden Girls.
B
Like, it was so Ronio G. It.
A
Was giving, like, made on, like, Instagram layout.
B
It was hysterical. And if that's a taste of what we can get, it's mighty tasty.
A
I just know. I just know Dorina's not well. Like, it's killing her.
B
I haven't thought about her one time. I wonder if she's not an og.
A
No, of course not. But I loop her in with that group of, like, elderly women who drink a lot who ruined the franchise. I do.
B
With their drinking.
A
Right. I do wonder if this puts them in a bad spot with Bravo. Like, because while the women have not been on Bravo in many years, they're still on watchdrapons Live. They go to bravocon. They're part of the Bravo family. They get, like, weird spinoff opportunities.
B
E is a sister of Bravo.
A
I know.
B
It's a sisterhood. And Bravo is all about the peacock.
A
This is just the first time where, like, Bravo people have collectively jumped ship. Ish.
B
But it's ish. And I'm sure Bravo had first rite of their fuse on. They didn't want the show, and they went to E. And again, it's all under the NBC universal umbrella. And NBC's gonna be like, you better get. If this show is a success, they're gonna say, bring them to Bravo or Peacock.
A
Yeah.
B
It's a feather in everyone's cap. Yeah, I think it's all good.
A
Okay, so we kind of like a lot to do just because we are so pulsy today.
B
Yes.
A
So there's nothing else?
B
I just. I can't remember a thing that I did yesterday.
A
Oh. You know, my TikTok has taken me to the Epstein files, and I would like to be away from it. It's very upsetting and also, like, it's kind of confusing because it's like the Files, but it's also, like, anonymous tips that people have submitted. So it's like, not all 100%, but I just, like, ended up, like, reading some really upsetting things about, like, these, like, women who were forced to have babies.
B
Like, I was. I saw something about babies.
A
It was very, very Upsetting. Yeah. And it just kind of ruined my morning. I was, like, scrolling TikTok while I was doing my hair and then, like, like, explaining to me what they found. And I just, like, it was very upsetting.
B
Yeah.
A
And I was in it for, like, the celebrity and, like, the only person who so far, his name I heard. And there are 33 million documents, like, it will be.
B
There are thousands of names, but, like.
A
Dr. Peter Attia, who I didn't even know, but apparently he's like, a big podcaster.
B
Bald one.
A
Yes. You know him?
B
Oh, yeah. He's always giving me tips.
A
Oh, my God. Okay.
B
On what salt to use.
A
So he was a big customer of Jeffrey Epstein. Like, his emails are so bad.
B
Oh, my God.
A
And there's this thing in his book where he talks about this traumatic life event where his, like, young child ended up in the ICU. And he's telling the story it all happened on July 11th. And he's telling the story in his book about, like, the day he wasn't home. He was in New York, and his son was in the ICU in San Diego. And then, like, the emails from the Epstein files, like, prove that he was, like, hanging out with Jeffrey Epstein on July 11th. Like, he said in his book that he didn't go home because of work when his son was in the icu. And it turns out he didn't go home because he was, like, hanging out with Jeffrey Epstein.
B
Wow.
A
Yeah. No, it's really crazy. So so far, he's like, the first, like, big, like, name who we'd never heard of. We were like, all these celebrities are going to be in the files. Like, I want to hear more celebrities. But first it's Dr. Peter Atia, which is, like, so random. I don't even know.
B
I actually don't know him. He's not the salt guy. Okay, okay. The salt guy. I had to find his name. He went on Matt Nabi one time. So his name not has nothing to do with the. But his doctor. Amen. You know him? He's another bald doctor who podcasts longevity.
A
Dr. Is that, like, that's what Dr. Peter Attia is? I'm, like, learning so much about this.
B
Person I never knew, but apparently, like.
A
He'S like, a huberman type. People are obsessed with him. It's, like, devastating for his community.
B
You know this man?
A
No, I don't know that man at all.
B
He's everywhere.
A
I don't know that man. I'm sorry. Sorry to this man.
B
You don't know him. If you saw him like talking into a room. He looks like Blair's stepfather from Cyrus.
A
Cyrus from.
B
If you saw him talking to a.
A
Microphone, maybe it would ring a bell.
B
Everyone is him.
A
I must have missed that episode of Matt Abbey.
B
We should have him on You Never know.
A
I don't want to have people on you Never Know. They might end up in the Epstein Files.
B
That's so true.
A
Oh, and there was also an Epstein file where they're talking about Maddie Ziegler just like, no, not guilty. Maddie Ziggler's not a part of it. They were just like, did you see that music video? Like, Yucky. Like, really? And then they also talk about, like, these people are so dumb, by the way. Like, they literally, like, hey, want to be a pedophile? Like, they don't care, but they do attempt in some parts to speak in a foreign la. And they use food, being like, hey, I'd like a pizza. Yeah.
B
Did they do pizza?
A
They said pizza, hot dog, burger. And this guy, I think it was Dr. Peter Atia, who was like, I'd like a hot dog with no bun. Like, yucky, yucky, yucky. I'm very new to. And also, like, it's hard to, I think, to discern from the files, like, what is just, like, was a submitted tip from the public and what is, like, a verified claim. So you do have to be careful. So, like, I'm just looking at actual emails, but, like, on Tik Tok, by the way, I'm not, like, reading the files. And this one particular girl who, like, ended up in a treatment center, and she was, like, forced to have babies, and she was like, Gain's girl. Like, oh, my God, Gain. Like, I forgot about the Epstein saga. You know, it was, like, so many years ago. But it's really upsetting. Like, it's not. I'm not having fun.
B
That's really upsetting.
A
I feel like I was like, oh, yeah, let's get them. And now it's like, I'm upset.
B
Yeah.
A
Like, I was just in it for the celebrity. And, like, all I got was Peter Atia. So far. Like, so far I didn't even know him.
B
Yeah, there's. There'll be more, but it's also confusing. There are so many names of people. Like, so and so. His name. And they keep saying, like, it doesn't.
A
Inclusion does not indicate involvement. Like, they keep saying that similar how? Like, anybody who's ever had a picture. Cal Radswell, like, her pictures with Ghislaine. Like, that doesn't mean she was going to the Island. So, like, I think you have to be. It's not fair.
B
Someone's named. It doesn't mean no. Like Maddie Ziegler is not involved. Right.
A
But like, yucky yuck.
B
Well, thanks.
A
Yeah. Sorry my morning was ruined, so I just felt like I had to ruin everyone else's.
B
Okay. That's really mature. Yeah, that's a mature way to feel.
A
I'm a very mature woman, so that makes sense.
B
Shall we get into the stories? Yes. Where we do have our pulse on the pulse, though it's a low pulse, a runner's pulse.
A
The pulse is questionable. I couldn't find it. But my pulse on these stories is not questionable because I know everything.
B

Our first story, the search for Nancy Guthrie, Savannah Guthrie's mom, continues. And an odd twist. TMZ received an alleged ransom note for Savannah Guthrie's mom, Nancy, demanding millions in bitcoin. Police are taking all tips very seriously, including one.
A
And the bitcoin account was real?
B
Yeah. So it could be real. The amount is in the millions. It's a substantial amount of money. And TMZ reports it has received an alleged ransom note demanding payment for the release of Nancy Guthrie.
A
Yes, I believe also another local news station. So now two news outlets. It's giving amateur, by the way. Like, I don't know why it's giving. Like this is like your first ransom. You sending it to tmz. Like, I don't know.
B
I don't get the connection.
A
Well, now I feel like. And this was, I think, a theory at first. Like, was this random or is it because her, you know, daughter is very famous? And so I feel like sending it to TMZ is sort of a confirmation that this person targeted Savannah Guthrie's mother. Not just like an Old woman, you know, it's giving. Like, I know you have a wealthy daughter. Let me see what I can squeeze out of you. I'm really worried about her medication.
B
Yeah.
A
Like, it seems like when someone is being held for ransom, like, they're not trying to hurt the person, per se. It's not like, you know, they want to kill them. They just want money. So they're holding them hostage, if you will. But the whole medication throws, like, a. A kind of complicated spin on it, and I could see this person, like, panicking, like, dropping them off at a hospital, you know?
B
Yeah.
A
Like, they didn't set out to kill this woman, but she's an elderly woman who needs her medication. Perhaps they say she needs it every 24 hours, and I. I doubt they said on their way out. Do you have any medication?
B
She also disconnected from her pacemaker.
A
Oh, no. Why with a pacemaker, do you need to be near, like, a. I don't.
B
Know how it works, but, like, it stopped tracking her at a certain time, so. Oh, yeah. Maybe it just, like, didn't connect to, like, the Apple watch or, like, if she didn't have it on her, but.
A
Is it, like, a monitor that comes with it?
B
But maybe. But she's still wearing it.
A
I didn't hear about that pacemaker.
B
That's so scary. That's what I had heard.
A
What a Just horrifying story. Like, continues to get worse.
B
Yeah.
A
And as. Which, you know, with all abductions, the more time that passes without any sort of lead.
B
But I feel hopeful that they have leads that they're not sharing. I don't know why I feel that way, but I feel like they're playing very close to the right.
A
Because the person's watching the news, and.
B
I feel like sometimes when they have no leads, like, they're like, anyone, please send us anything you have. Remember, like, with the. The Brown University shooter, and everyone's sending their, like, ring cap.
A
Yeah. Right.
B
They didn't really have anything, but you.
A
Get an influx of information, which also can be, like, distracting.
B
Yeah. I think they want information, but I feel like they have some stuff I got.
A
I hope so.
B
That's literally just a feeling.
A
This.
B
A vibe, just. Yeah. I don't know. It's really sad.
A
Oh, my God. It's so terrible.
B
It's so terrible. Thinking of her and her siblings were seen, like, leaving. Leaving the area, and it's just a nightmare.
A
It's a nightmare.
B
A living nightmare. We'll keep you posted, and hopefully we.
A
Have better news, more updates. There really haven't Been.
B
Yeah.
A
But I don't know. The TMZ thing is making me, like, suspicious. Obviously. Suspicious situation, but you know what I mean. You know what I mean?
B
Yeah. Our next story is a story for Claudia that. Wait, you. You've seen it? I. You knew it was happening. But for me, it's for you, because Travis Kelsey chokes that Taylor Swift is gonna over this fumble. So Travie was recording his podcast New Heights with his brother Jace Face, and.
A
Tabby and Jace Face. You know them like that? I didn't realize you knew them like that.
B
Yeah, you know, I like nicknames.
A
Yeah, a little. I like Jay's face.
B
And as they're recording, he's, like, tipping the seat backwards, and it made a loud crack.
A
Yeah, he broke the chair.
B
He broke the chair in Taylor's house. He said, taylor's gonna kill me. Jason was like, oh, are you all right? And Chavi was like, we're good.
A
I told you guys, like, her aesthetic and his physical build, like, it's a mismatch. And I'm glad that she's decided to redesign. We know her Rhode island mansion. I hope some permits have been taken out in all of her homes.
B
Like, this is not, like, restructure the foundation.
A
This is not an ordinary man. And also, I get the vibe that, like, just based on his reaction, that, like, this is not the first time it's happened because he's like, oh, Taylor's gonna kill me. Like, oh, Travis, breaking chairs again, it's a serious issue, and I tried to warn them about it, like, a year ago.
B
Well, I feel like she definitely has all this, like, antique doll furniture. Right. And it's like, you don't need to swap it all out at first. Like, let's break it.
A
I don't know. Travis, like, doesn't want to feel like a stranger in his own home. He should be able to sit in any chair.
B
Yes, but, like, what are you going to get rid of them sort of prematurely? Let's live in them. Like, and when they break, we'll get new.
A
I just know why we have to wait for something bad to happen. Like, Travis could get hurt. First of all, he's a professional athlete. You know how they say, like, professional athletes should not be doing, like, snowboarding or skateboarding in the off season because it could create an injury that affects him during the season. It's kind of if he's still gonna continue to play. Like, living in her, like, sort of antique home is a career hazard for him. And I do think that they need to go To Raymore and Flanagan.
B
Also, he doesn't seem bashful in any way, But I have to imagine that breaking a chair is the most humiliating experience an individual can have.
A
It's now she's getting into my clams casino. The scene in Shaohao where he goes to complain, and he, like, can't understand why Gwyneth Paltrow has broken this, like, steel chair. Yeah. I'm trying to think of a chair as it is. As a person who's always struggled with my weight, I have to tell you. And I think every person who's ever, like, felt uncomfortable in their body will tell you. Like, it is something we're constantly thinking of.
B
However, for Travis, like, I don't think he's uncomfortable in his body. Like, I don't think any part of him would be embarrassed by Chairman. It's probably, like, a flex, a point of pride. It's too big for the chair.
A
Yeah. Me and my big shoulder.
B
Yeah.
A
A thousand percent.
B
But may never find me.
A
No, no. I am. I need to, like, buy a spell from a witch on Etsy. Like, keep broken furniture away from me. I don't know if there is a more horrifying thing that could happen to you in public. I'm trying to think. I feel like it's happened to Ben. And it's obviously different for boys and girls, for sure.
B
And Ben is not, like, easily embarrassed.
A
No. But, like, in my line of work, I find that I'm always, like, being put in director's chairs, which just don't give me a lot of confidence because they're made with, like, a thin piece of fabric and, like, two wood parcels.
B
If you broke that, you're human.
A
Yes, of course. But anytime I go to an event and it's like, oh, it's like a speaking gig or whatever. And they, like, have you on a director's chair. I think I almost always am. Like, do we have other chairs?
B
No. And they're not. It's not a flattering chair.
A
I just don't like it.
B
You can't really cross your legs. So. Great. Because you don't have, like, the support.
A
Right.
B
For our shorties. Yeah.
A
So just Travis out here living every girl's nightmare. And I'm sorry that that happened to you.
B
Yeah. But I hope that you guys get, like, new Pargy furniture, maybe a little restoration hardware, and maybe you and Taylor.
A
Can use this as an opportunity to watch Shallow Hell. Because I think you guys would like.
B
It and redecorate, of course, in a way that speaks to both of your Sensibilities and S size. Yeah. There is a happy size and sensibility. They need to.
A
Like a big and tall furniture store.
B
Yeah. Well, you could. I'm sure there's beautiful things. Of course you should.
A
Hardware restoration Hardware is the solution that they're looking for. Everything from restoration Couch.
B
Travy would love it.
A
I don't know what I've heard about the cloud couch. And when I go to people's houses, I'm like, oh, you pay $20,000 for this couch. It gets so lumpy. And, like, it's meant to be relaxed.
B
But it's very quickly because it doesn't present nicely. Like, when you. It's hard to set the room with a cloud couch because it always looks unmade.
A
Right. So if you also like an enormous man lounging on the couch there quite a bit, and his friends.
B
And his big friends, like, and just, like, leaving, you know, tushy imprints.
A
Yeah.
B
For lack of a better term.
A
Yeah. You're going to be fluffing those pillows, those cushions all day long. Nobody wants that job.
B
Yeah.
A
The cloud couch is a mirage, and I think wealthy people tried to convince us that it was cool. And I'm glad that I never fell victim to the cloud couch.
B
I feel like there's a time and place for it. Okay.
A
In a media room.
B
Oh, like in a theater room.
A
Yeah. In a theater room that doesn't get used a lot.
B
Yeah. But I also feel, because if I.
A
Walk into your house and you have a cloud couch, I can tell based on the state of your couch how much time you spend laying on the couch. And then it's like, not only do I have a messy couch, I also, like, know people, like, I. People know I lay around a lot.
B
Well, I feel like when you're, like, in your 20s and, like, you have an apartment, like, if you had a cloud couch. That was such a sleigh.
A
It was.
B
And I feel like you don't spend that much time, like, on your couch, and it's just like you're one or two people. It's like your pregame, you know, the whole family. Like. Like, I feel like that's nice. Like, if you're getting a cloud couch in your, like, young adult apartment, slay all day.
A
But if you're a young adult with a cloud couch, like, your parents obviously bought it for you. And then I just think you're, like, a spoiled brat.
B
Oh, well, maybe a dupe or something.
A
Yeah. There was the IKEA dupe, and Bob's Discount Furniture had a very good dupe I remember people talking about.
B
And then we also stayed in the house in the Hamptons that had a cloud couch and we had an amazing experience.
A
Did we podcast from it?
B
Not the couch.
A
It wasn't.
B
It was actually the Olympics.
A
Yes.
B
You remember.
A
Yes, yes, yes.
B
And it was fantastic.
A
Yes. And we laid on it quite a bit. So if I'm a. If I'm a homeowner who's renting out my home, I'm not getting a cloud couch because it's going to look worse for the wear if we're showing up.
B
But we enjoyed it. We did.
A
Deep.
B
And I would like a cloud couch for free.
A
Oh, okay. For free. Yeah. I would also like a jet. For free.
B
For free.
A
If we're just saying things, you know.
B
Are you ready for our next story? Nicola Peltz's dad, I saw.
A
I have so many thoughts.
B
Is breaking his silence on the Beckham family feud.
A
He's not really breaking his silence. I just want to say.
B
No, he spoke on it.
A
I know, but breaking your silence implies that, like, you're speaking on something and it's your choice. I felt like it was actually hella inappropriate. And I think the Wall Street Journal interviewer knew it as well because she was like skating around the issue and she, like, looked nervous because she was asking an inappropriate question on a business summit.
B
It. So he participated in the Q and A session with Wall Street Journal Invest live in West Palm beach, and he was asked about Nicola, to which he quit.
A
Well, he wasn't even asked. Like, she was having such a hard time getting the question out that he eventually, like, saved her and was like, yes, my daughter.
B
He said, has my family been in the press lately? I haven't noticed at all.
A
The interviewer was like, you know, you're used to negotiating high stakes situations. Like, she was circling the train so bad. Like, he actually threw her a life rat. He was like, yeah, so has my family, like, made a job joke because he. She seriously was struggling. So bad. Because it was. I'm sorry. So inappropriate. It is here for the tea, but it's inappropriate. A business summit.
B
But do you feel like she felt like she had to ask about it because it's the biggest story in the world that he's very adjacent to.
A
Yeah, he is adjacent to it, but he's really not. He is a major player, but not really in terms of like the front facing people. We're talking about the Beckhams. We're talking about Nicola and Brooklyn. Like, we're talking about her family as sort of like in this, like, abstract kind of way, she could have very easily gotten away with not doing it just because I think it's inappropriate.
B
It would have been more professional to not do it. Anyone who was, like, mad at her for not asking the obvious question, like, could have just been like, this is a Wall Street Journal business summit.
A
Yeah.
B
He's like a billionaire. Billionaire, very successful businessman. Like, it's offensive to really stray into the gutters like this.
A
Now, having said that, I'm learning a lot about Nelson. Is that his name?
B
Nelson? Yeah.
A
You don't meet a lot of Nelson's. It's a nice Mandela. Of course. He's like, kind of the only one. And I feel like he did the name, like, so big. No one. Like, I don't know anyone who's naming their kids Nelson.
B
No, you don't see a lot of kids named Nelson, but it's a. It's a strong name. No, it is. I feel like it's a successful name.
A
You know, So I didn't know much about him in, like, a personality sense. And I do feel like maybe she felt like she could ask the question because he is this seems like this very affable, nice guy.
B
Yeah.
A
And he was, like, making a joke out of it. And he basically said, like, you know, I know my daughter, she's amazing. And we love our son in law, and we just want them to have, like, a very happy life. And I always tell them, like, do everything you can to stay out of the press.
B
Yeah, that's what he said. He said, my advice is to stay the hell out of the press. Well, they didn't take that one. He said, my daughter and the Beckhams are a whole other story. And that's not for coverage here today. But I'll tell you, my daughter is great. My son in law, Brooklyn is great, and I look forward to them having a long, happy marriage together.
A
I don't know if he could have answered the question more perfectly. Like, now I'm left with such a wonderful. Like, this is quite a man, you know, My impression is overwhelmingly positive. And I'm definitely, like, thinking, you know, a man like that has to be raised like an amazing daughter. You know what I mean? Like, although I could see also a guy like that, like, making a soil.
B
Brat, like loving stars. My little princess.
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah, but whatever. I feel like the Peltz's huge check in their column just based on this answer. I think he might have also been caught off guard. So, like, this was just his, you know, on the whim Response. And it was. It was amazing.
B
I have to imagine he thought about the fact that he's doing press, like that someone would ask him about it. So I feel like this isn't press.
A
This would have gotten literally no coverage. It was a business event.
B
Yeah. I feel like that's what we said though. It seems like both families are really.
A
Great families, like stable and grounded.
B
Yeah.
A
They both have parents who are married, which is insane.
B
Loving.
A
Yeah. Wealthy.
B
So I mean, seems like a Nicola and Brooklyn self sort of thing.
A
It kind of does.
B
Like they both.
A
And this is again just based on vibes. Like they both seem genuinely insufferable and that's sort of like not their parents fault.
B
No.
A
I think the Pelt's parents and the Beckham parents just kind of just hang out.
B
Yeah. And talk.
A
They probably have more in common than they think.
B
I think. So I. Because it's never, never. It's not been said that it's like the parents don't like them. Parents versus parents. That it's like Nicola and Victoria and.
A
Brooklyn and his parents.
B
Yeah. Oh, are you ready for our fourth story that's going to lead into our first TV recap?
A
Yes. Because actually, no, no.
B
Like, let's just do tv.
A
So I'm not ready. Yeah.
B
I think like this next section should be calling Mike tv and it's brought Mike. It's from Willy Wonka.
A
I don't know it.
B
That boy, he was obsessed with it.
A
Literally me, like, he definitely in this day and age, like would have a podcast, like a TV recap podcast.
B
For sure. He'd say, yeah, he grew up to be Nick Vile.
A
I was just thinking that. But then I'm like, if we mentioned Nick Vile twice on this podcast today, is that like so weird?
B
No. Especially because I'm like involved.
A
Yeah. Should we talk about it? Sure. Okay. Jackie. This clip and I. I know Jackie hadn't seen it because this clip came across.
B
I didn't know what's happening.
A
That like there's kind of like beef. I don't know if there's beef. I have to do a little bit more.
B
I refuse to admit that there's beef because I don't. I don't know anything about the situation. You just sent me a clip of Natalie talking about when she was on the toast.
A
Right. And she was kind of like alluding to having like an uncomfortable conversation with you.
B
But.
A
And she was like seemingly upset about how you addressed her age gap. And then I found the clips. Thank shout out to the girl who you posted it and not Only did you not ask her? Like, she offered it up, so she recounted.
B
Also, I always, like, I feel like the first thing people think about them is age gap. I never remember it. So I don't know if I learned about the age gap while she was sitting here, or I had only recently learned about it. But, like, I definitely didn't have a harsh reaction to it, because I don't. In my heart of hearts, I don't feel that way. Like, I feel like she. They're.
A
They're beyond that.
B
They're beyond. Yeah. Like, I don't see them as an age gap couple. So, yeah, I don't.
A
So she went on her podcast after coming on the toast and, like, recounted the conversation, and she did recount it incorrectly, because then I watched a clip, and that's not what happened.
B
Oh. I guess that's why she said I was asking her to do fast math, because, like, she said she met Nick when she was whatever age, and I was like, oh, so how old was Nick? So she had to do the math on the spot. And maybe the math didn't. Math.
A
I know. And, like, I think she was upset she had to do the math. Like, that was the vibe.
B
I guess I could have done the.
A
Math because I think she said it was simple math. It's 21 plus 18, which. How dumb are you?
B
Is that simple?
A
39.
B
Okay.
A
I think she was calling you dumb.
B
I. You know what? I'm not taking the bait. Like, I had such a great experience with her. You did? I loved her. We've had such a good relationship with Nick for so many years. I'm. Unless she, like, texts me to my face, I don't like you. Like, I have no misunderstanding. Yeah, I really. And I'm sorry if she came away feeling that way, because in. Because, like I said, that's not how I feel.
A
And this is also not how it was.
B
I think they had, like, a beautiful relationship and a beautiful family. Meant to be.
A
I watched a clip, so that's also just not how it went down. So.
B
And I think they're meant to be. I wouldn't question meant to be. Okay. So I'm not taking the bait.
A
I kind of am.
B
And who's. Who's pitting us against each other? Do you feel like it's the Internet?
A
Well, no, I just saw this or.
B
The clip of her.
A
I saw the clip of her, like.
B
Like, saying she doesn't like me in that.
A
No. Like, rewriting history a little, like, about her. And, you know, you can't help how you Feel when you walk away from a conversation. So, like, she's totally valid in that. But then to go on her podcast and, like, recount it like, we saw the clip. That's not what happened.
B
Yeah.
A
So I. Maybe I just feel fiercely defensive of my.
B
Maybe you do, Maybe you do, but I'm just not Internet enough for this.
A
I know. I am. Great.
B
So, yeah. Funny that we spoke about them a number of times today.
A
Yeah, they're definitely on the mind because I sent you the clip.
B
Yeah.
A
Now, I also don't know if that.
B
Was old or sent me that clip. My br. I was like, what am I watching? Is someone is talking about me. I. I could not compute. And it was, like, a very short clip, like, no context. I'm like, what? Yeah. Right.
A
What? Yeah.
B
So I still don't understand.
A
I don't really either. And I'm also not one to pile on. I feel like they're getting, like, hate right now. And, like, I'm never one to be like, yeah, I hate you too. So, like, seriously, sending love.
B
Sending love. I had a great experience. So if she and, like, Nick, like.
A
We'Ve come too far to go home now with Nick Vile.
B
No. Nothing can come between us.
A
No. We are thick as thieves.
B
Okay. Mike TV is brought to you by.
A
Oh, that's how we got here. That's such a niche reference. Like, I don't know. And whenever it's rare that you know, like, a cultural reference and, like, it sticks with you that. I don't know.
B
Whenever I say tv, I, like, always think of Mike tv.
A
Oh, was that his name?
B
Yeah.
A
Sounds a little familiar.
B
Yeah, he was, like, the fourth one. He got, like, sucked.
A
No, I know him. He looked like the brother from Lizzie McGuire. He had, like, spiky hair.
B
He wanted to be, like, in the tv.
A
No. And he did end up in the tv.
B
Yeah. And he couldn't get out out.

B
Thank you Turd Main you're welcome. Our Next Story in the City Season one Teaser Video Dropped at Bravo so last night was the season 10 summer house premiere and they also shared a teaser for the upcoming spin off in the city. So we've talked a lot about this show. We've heard a lot. Everyone has sort of speculated it's like the valley of north of the northeast. And yes, they posted a teaser video in the city. It follows Kyle, Amanda, and Lindsay into fall. You know, they transition Kyle from Summer, Sierra. It's just the three of them at this moment. I don't think that's the whole cast, but, like, they're sprinkling breadcrumbs. I don't know if Sierra's a part of it, because this show really is meant to be like the Valley.
A
Yes.
B
Of the east coast, where we see people go on to the next phase of life and they can mature out of Summer House. It was built for Lindsay Hubbard in this era of her life, whereas other cast members can stay on Summer House. This isn't like Summer House continued. It's, you know, you could do both. It's the Beverly Hills to Vanderpump rules pipeline. We're sending you on your way.
A
I have actually high hopes for the show because I. I feel like even watching last night's premiere, so much has changed, but, like, the house hasn't. And I actually think for someone like Amanda, for someone like Lindsay, like, in the city is perfect because sometimes, like, them going out to the Hamptons every weekend and staying in the share house, like, makes no sense.
B
Yeah.
A
And I feel like last night, you know, we have all these new cast members, and I feel like some of the OGs, like Sierra and Amanda, like, are making such a concerted effort because they're not acting like how they normally act on the first day of summer, where they're just very set in their ways, and they kind of ignore the new girls and leave them to, like, hang out with Lindsay. They're being so friendly, picking them up and, like, you know, it's kind of weird. It's like, why are you acting so different? And it's like, because they have been forced to shift a little bit, and it feels a little forced. And I think the City show might be a better fit for just who they like. Everyone likes them how they are.
B
Yeah.
A
And it doesn't necessarily always work in the Hamptons, so just be yourself in the city. Like, I do think that there's real potential with that show.
B
Yeah. And I feel like even Amanda and Sarah not going out the first night, it sort of signals, like, the. A difference divide in the house of, like, people who are past doing all of this and people who are still doing all of it.
A
But did they go out or did they take. No cameras. Like, it was so confusing.
B
Cameras.
A
Usually we see them getting in the.
B
Car, I guess I think they went.
A
Out and then it was 2:00am like, it was confusing.
B
I think that they went out because they said they were going out and.
A
Sometimes they do like phone videos.
B
Yeah. I might have like looked away for a second. So I don't know. But I. I thought that they went out.
A
They need to like, fix that. They need to be going out with cameras. Like the Jersey Shore.
B
Like, yeah, it's.
A
That's where everything happens.
B
Yeah. But I think that now people, you know, if they're stay the bed bugs, bed bugging, it's like, okay, well, there's a path for the bedbugs.
A
Right.
B
And this could be their last summer in the house. And that's fine. But they are also trying to like, be in the mix with the new girls and the new cast members. Also, the whole storyline of last night and what will be the season probably is like Kyle and Amanda.
A
Right. And is anyone else not to be like a conspiracy theorist? I feel like it's very clear that they are not together, like in this. Right. So on what happens live, she said that they separated in October, like so right after the summer before Bravo. Khan and I just feel like at this point they are already like decidedly not together. And I think they're both really committed to the show.
B
I think if they were decidedly not together, they would have been nicer to each other. I think that they are so like, if they were putting on an act, like, I think the way that they're. Way they're so uncomfortable acting in front of people, in front of cameras, the way they're talking to each other is not a good look.
A
Even though I think with hindsight, if you go watch like the last couple of seasons, the way they talk to each other, the way they interact. She's up at 4 in the morning, he's not home yet.
B
Like, it's funny how now watching it, knowing they're separated, it all looks like writing on the wall. Whereas I was thinking about it saying this for years. Seasons. No. But this is like a new level.
A
They.
B
They have not fighting at the table. Kind word to each other.
A
The fighting at the table.
B
The fighting at the table, every conversation that each of them is involved in. I really do think this is like where the marriage is ending. I don't. They don't seem like they want to work on it, but I do think it is real. Because I think if they were pretending, they would have a little bit more manners towards each other.
A
The DJing thing is so crazy.
B
Yeah.
A
And I think people online speculated that that was, like, a huge reason for the breakup. And I was thinking, like, yeah, it's crazy, but, like, this is who he is. This is who he's always been. People were putting so much stock in him going on tour as a DJ and how, like, that was her final straw. And I was like, I don't know. I think it's, like, a little too simple. But I think that the DJing is the. The nail in the coffin.
B
Well, I don't know necessarily of the DJ ended the marriage. I think the marriage was ending. And so he went to DJ because he didn't want to be home all the time. And so that was like a symptom, right. Not the cause.
A
And what we talked about then, that.
B
Symptom caused other symptoms.
A
We talked about how, like, the prenup, them not having a prenup Lover boy. And I think you had said, like, you know, I could see her just having foregone her half of it. It just to get out, like, it's. And how it's really not as valuable as it once was. And on watch Happens Live last night, she kind of confirmed that because she was, you know, she said. She said she didn't have a prenup. And she said, everyone, no matter what marriage you're in, like, you need a prenup. Like, just do it.
B
She said, well, they'll be okay, but because they're.
A
They really get along very well. But Andy was like, but you're entitled to that, you know, piece of lover boy. And she was like, well, yeah, maybe. But, like, it's his thing. He has lived and died. Like, he literally gave up our marriage for it. So I'm not taking it. And I think it's very easy to say that because I do think the brand is presently worth a lot less than maybe it was at its peak.
B
And I think Lover Boy just caused her so much strife and drama. It's like, take it, be gone with it. I don't want to be a part of it. Then we have to, what, work together again. Like, just. It's a cleaner break. She should get, like, 5% just for having been there.
A
So based on my limited knowledge and just, like, people telling me things behind the scenes, I believe that Lover Boy and I think this is a storyline on in the City. I think Kyle is in major financial distress. Like, I think he took out a lot of personal loans that he cannot. So I don't think there's just 5% to throw around. I think it's like. And that's why I think it was easy for her to walk away being like, this is a mess.
B
Yes.
A
Maybe at one point, like, five years ago, they were on track to, like, be a company that was going to sell to, like, aniser Bush for $100 million. I don't think that's the case. I don't think.
B
But he never took investors. Right. So the whole point is he has 100%, so he has 5%.
A
I do believe at one point he did take on investment. Because I was just reading this article about how, like, Bravo's the new incubator and there was. There is seed money in the very beginning. Okay. Yeah.
B
Also, I think the DJing thing is an extension of lover boy marketing because she said that, you know, some people, they DJ and then they go straight home to their families. He stays back, he talks to the owners. I think he's selling lover boy into all of these places. I think that, like, it has been an engine for, like, lover boy getting into bars and restaurants and clubs.
A
Yes.
B
And it's not just like, I love music and I think he enjoys DJing, but it's also more for lover boy.
A
No, for sure. But I think what she's saying is, like, yes, he can go DJ and have it be for lover boy and sell into these places. He doesn't need to be out all night. There are people who have successful jobs in nightlife and happy home life. Like, but every person I know who works in nightlife, is sober, has multiple children, a very happy marriage. In order to be successful in nightlife, like, you can't be every night out till the break of dawn. So that's sort of the issue. I don't even think her issue is so much as him doing these events. Like, he's always done events for lover boy.
B
Then the problem is also, like, he doesn't want to go home. And. And she doesn't like. Right. So say he goes home. Say he came home every weekend to fight.
A
Yeah.
B
You know what I mean? Like, he's. There's a reason he's not going home. They're not, like, happy together. And at this point point, they're not. They've given up. They're not working towards being better. But we've seen them every year, you know, working towards it. We're gonna try this summer. And then after the summer, they say they're better and they've Been working on things and at this point, they both thrown in the towel. She will flirt with anyone who walks, and everybody wants to flirt with her. And this guy Ben, what a cutie.
A
He reminds me of the chef Ben from Blow Deck.
B
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I. I ship and it's like.
A
And they talked about that on Watch up inside, people being like. Like, you have a twinkle in your eye when you talk to him. Like, what happened at that wedding? She was like, nah, nothing.
B
Yeah, the way she described the wedding was fine. But then she, like, gave a look to Ciara that made me feel like they're dating right now. That's just what it made me feel like.
A
Oh, wow. Even though she said on Watch Evans Live again, like, she would literally never date someone on Bravo, specifically on her show either. And he is on Bravo now.
B
Oh, okay. I.
A
So her bringing him is like her saying no, you know?
B
Oh, okay. Well, she also said that she was asked, like, who did they think is gonna date again first? And she said, I think me.
A
Yeah, I mean, yeah, I. I feel. But date, like, or have sex, you.
B
Know, I think, like, be in a relationship.
A
Well, her. Because relationships are not for him, clearly.
B
So it's. It's really sad to watch.
A
It's.
B
It's uncomfortable and I feel like it's going to be the entire season and then it's going to be all of in the City. Because in the city wrapped before BravoCon. She said that they separated right before Bravocon. So I think that's how in the City ends is with them deciding to separate. So that means that this is like four months of this.
A
So old.
B
It is kind of. It is kind of in the City.
A
Which hasn't even premiered yet, is from October. I don't know.
B
Oh, I thought you meant like four months of, like, it's tea and whatever. But, like, at a certain point, like, we got it. Like, you want to know, we're like.
A
Watching things in real time with social media. Like, I just feel like Hulu and all these, they really raise the bar for turnaround times. And, like, this just feels so ancient.
B
Yeah. I'm sure there'll be other storylines done in the city and other cast members.
A
And, like, Lindsay, we need Lindsay. Oh, my God. Last night's episode was really boring. I'm sorry. Lindsay is such a personality hire. Yeah. She's not, like, dating. Who gives a. Like, she's so funny. And I do feel like she. It's very authentic the way that she, like, interacts with the new people. And something about last night. Like, seeing these cast members who have, like, quite literally never made an effort with the new people, like, forcing it, I was just like, who are you trying to fool?
B
Yeah. It's crazy that this is the job a million girls would kill for.
A
And I feel like the two girls that they got, the blonde girl, Bailey. I can't believe they have another girl named Bailey after last season's Bailey. She definitely has more of a personality, and, like, she might do well. The other girl was so quiet.
B
Well, just. It's episode one. I know, but you have to come into.
A
I'm so sorry. You have to come into these shows, Lexi.
B
I think people who come in too strong, like, they want it too bad, they're trying too hard. It doesn't go well. I like a slow burn. I'm not. I'm not judging either of them yet. But what I do like about them is that they have, like. They have a good, positive energy. They want to have fun. They want to meet people. I think they're, like, the right agent in the right place, and they've got the right mindset. And so I'm. I think it's trending positively.
A
They're acting like Lexi never existed. Like, it was so crazy. Do you think she was fired or that she left?
B
I think that she was not asked back. And it actually made me really sad to think about because it's like she came onto the show and was just, like, swooped and, like, she was into Jesse, but, like, he didn't give her a choice because he was gonna be dating.
A
Like, he loved girls were just really awful to her.
B
And he, like, totally capitalized her time and her storyline and everything.
A
And then I don't know why she wouldn't be asked back. Like, she's exactly what they were looking for. Like, young girl, she was going out, she was doing in all the outfits. Like, she has the background, and he.
B
Chewed her up and spat her out.
A
It's kind of terrible.
B
And then that took his side. It actually makes me really sad.
A
Yeah. And I just feel like it can't be overstated how, like, in addition to him chewing her up and spitting her out, like, how the girls were not there for her one bit.
B
Yeah.
A
And it was, like, kind of sad and painful to watch.
B
And it's like she liked him back, but it's as if she. She didn't have a choice. He was so into her. Like, he was. She had no other storyline to follow.
A
No. It's, like, actually really sad.
B
It is, really.
A
When he was, like, sitting in bed With Sierra talking about, like, Wes, like, they didn't even bring up Lexi. Like, your girlfriend from last summer. Who's in the house.
B
Yeah. Where's our west meter now?
A
Hours or hour?
B
I mean, like, season one was, like, 10 tens across the board. Season two, after the reunion, right by zero.
A
I'm kind of indifferent.
B
Then we got to, like, two, three last season.
A
Yeah. I feel like the harsher Sierra was with him, like, the more I kind of felt bad for him because, like, like, his crime was breaking up with her, which, like, he is allowed to do. So I feel like now that she's kind of cooled off, like, I. I actually just don't care anymore.
B
Do you know what I mean?
A
Yeah.
B
And now it's like, their show, like, west and Jesse.
A
It is. It's actually crazy. Like, they are doing press, and I guess, like, a few people got plucked to go on Fallon, and it's Lindsay Hubard, as she should. She built this show brick by brick. And west, like, it's crazy. Isn't that crazy?
B
Yeah.
A
They did this clip. They were playing a game called imposter with Jimmy west and Lindsay. And, like, let me. You tell. I was cracking up, like, premium social media content. I watched it while I was getting ready this morning, like, chuckling. It was basically like, two of them are a trader. One of them is a trader, and the two, like, they don't know who the trader is, so they do word association with a topic, and, like, the topic is beach. So Jimmy goes sand. And so you have to, like, pretend like you know what the topic is. I was cracking up.
B
Oh, that's funny.
A
Yeah, I know. It was, like, really funny. We should play.
B
Yeah. Yeah. Wes poised to have a nice summer.
A
Yeah.
B
He don't care.
A
He's also important to the life of the show. Like, very affable. He's the future. The new guy is his friend. He's funny. Like, he was very well liked with the exception of what happened after season two. Like, he had one of the best first seasons.
B
What's the word? Like, he paid the. He did his time. Yeah.
A
He's out of job jail.
B
Yeah. He's. Yeah. And then he say that or that's like, they said he's on probation. He was like, it's better than jail.
A
Yeah. No, but he isn't like.
B
Yeah.
A
In hindsight, like, her big issue with him was that they broke up, which is devastating. And that he did a New York Times article about their breakup, which is just sort of, like, part of his job.
B
I think he did a New York Times article about his. His. Himself and on the show.
A
Yeah. It wasn't about the breakup. Sorry.
B
Yeah. And it was covered and she didn't like the way that it was spoken about. So over it.
A
Yeah.
B
It's tabular assa.
A
He is too much of a value add to the show to. For us to keep caring about this.
B
Yeah.
A
He didn't do anything bad or wrong like.
B
Yeah.
A
No.
B
And it's. It's time he navigated a breakup in.
A
The way that he thought was right.
B
Yeah.
A
Time served.
B
Yeah. And so. Yeah, we'll see what the. What the season holds in story. It really just seems to be about like the delay. Dissolution of the marriage. But to me, like that episode. It's over.
A
Yeah.
B
Not one kind moment.
A
Yeah. Painful. The going to bed.
B
Like just he walked into the house. They drove separately.
A
Oh, that was weird.
B
Yeah.
A
That's what I mean when I say like that it's also forced.
B
Like I really think that they. They probably knew that it was. They were going to eventually because they weren't trying to make it better. But I think that they would have been more respectful to each other if they knew that it was over. And like we're just being on a show. The way that they talk now when she's like, we talk. Very respectful. Very good. We can be friends. He made like a toast to her at the premiere party. Said nice things about her because the future is bright.
A
Yeah.
B
Our fifth and final story. Tell me lies. Recap.
A
Yes. Okay. Felt a little repetitive this episode. I can't lie. Like nothing major. Except for Briglet.
B
Brig. Okay. I'm obsessed.
A
I am too.
B
However, I didn't love that their first kiss was like a musty morning after kiss.
A
Ben said it and I was thinking the exact same thing. Her breath, of course, must have been so rank. She slept on the floor of her teacher's house. Okay. She was out all day because it was a day party the day before drinking. I just know she smelled so bad.
B
Yeah.
A
That I couldn't romanticize it.
B
I didn't find it romantic. I was like, you're not going to kiss right now. Yeah.
A
It would have been better if like when she woke up at the teacher's house, they showed her just like going to the bathroom, like rinsing her face.
B
Freshing.
A
Maybe rinsing some water or like using.
B
Some of Maran's creams. It would have been like a. Like a psychotic thing.
A
I like that.
B
But she would have been fresh as a daisy.
A
Oh, I love that. It was a very upsetting episode for Lucy. Like that game. First of all, I hate that freshman, like, Girl Run for your.
B
I know, but, like, no one can tell her anything. No.
A
No one could tell her anything.
B
And, like, no one's even tried because Diana and Lucy, if they say something to her, like, Steven, they look, like, jealous. No, but, like, if Stephen finds. If she, if they were successful in saying something to her, Stephen would have his revenge with them. They can't do anything.
A
So he didn't send the pictures to the school. He sent them to her dad, which, like, I'm relieved, honestly, because her dad, they'll work it out. Like, it's a temporary. Yeah, it's a temporary thing. Like, just so many upsetting. The whole. I'm not really understanding the Alex thing.
B
Which part?
A
The end.
B
Okay.
A
So, like, this whole time he's been, like, a good guy.
B
He's been a good guy. He. He sees her as, like, a wounded burden. So he doesn't want to, like, you know, be rough with. He wants to take care of her. I think he's like a caretaker, the way he took care of Brie growing up from his childhood and everything.
A
But, like, there's a dark side of him.
B
No, I just think that he is moving on from, like, seeing her in that way, which is what she wanted.
A
Okay. But I was getting the vibe that, like, she sees in him, like, a dark side where he likes the, like, rough and tumble.
B
Like, I don't know, like, not. But in a way, like what he said, like, not if it's coming from a place of trauma. He didn't want to do it when he thought it was like, she was coming from a place of trauma.
A
And how does he see. How does he not see that it is coming from a place of trauma? Because she's sitting on the bed crying.
B
She's, like, crying for other reasons. He's not crying because of Chris, you know, he thinks she's crying because of Chris. She's crying because she made that video. Like, yeah, it's, like, separate things, and she's doing it. It's not, I guess it ultimately is trauma. Not the trauma he thinks, but, like, she wants, like, punish herself for the bad things that she's done. It's a lot. I'm not gonna, like, pretend to understand all of it, but I, I, I, I feel like I don't think he's, like, a bad guy at all. I think he's actually a good guy.
A
And I think, like, people are having conversations about, like, a conversation between Diana and.
B
Lucy.
A
Lucy think I was gonna say Lisa. I'm like, what the hell's her name? About, like, how to handle Stephen. And, like, hers is like, yeah, Diana's is very. Like, she's protecting herself. But, yeah, she's not, like, you know, getting justice and he's not going to be put. But it's like a way to live versus Lucy, who's like, well, this is injustice and we have to fix it.
B
Like.
A
Like, yeah, in an ideal world, sure. But, like, you guys have to coexist and you have to live. So, like, Diana's method is the more effective one.
B
Yeah, I think Diana's method is the only way through. He's graduating soon. Hopefully we could all move on. And you just don't want to set him off.
A
And look at the wedding. Diana's the one who has successfully escaped his grasp. She's moved on. She seems to be a successful lawyer. She's in a relationship with Patrick. Pippa. Whereas Lucy's still having sex with him and playing whatever games that they play. Yeah, very upsetting.
B
Yeah, it was very upsetting, the party, like, the way Lucy was just, like, skulking around, like, just nervous at every corner.
A
It also, like, like you said, it doesn't occur to these people, like Lucy specifically, that she can transfer. And again, it would solve all of her problems. She also can start hanging out with a different group of friends.
B
Yeah. She is considering study abroad, which is good, but that we haven't heard back from. That would be next semester. And Stephen is leaving. Right. So not really necessary.
A
Or, like, if Steven's going to a party, like, don't go. She doesn't actively avoid him, and it's, you know, not fair to blame her because he's the evil one. But, like, she seems like she wants to get away from him in some instances, but she doesn't take any active steps to doing that.
B
Yeah, I feel like last season she did. She was, like, being better. She was.
A
And then he got his grips in her again.
B
Yeah. Yeah. I don't. I don't fully under. I guess that's just like, you know, the toxic cycle.
A
Right.
B
But he's so awful. Yeah. It's really crazy. And that game was crazy. But anyways, we have our briggly.
A
Oh, by the way. Obsessed with that game. Like, when you're not, like, in a crazy group of people. We should play. That sounds so fun.
B
I would never take the shot. I would just be like, okay, obviously.
A
And I was. Wanted to shake Lucy. Don't fucking drink. Yeah, that's a way to protect Yourself. You want us to rise above. Great. So they literally gave you away.
B
Yeah.
A
And what was her question? Who hates himself the most?
B
Oh, yeah. From Evan, who was writing these questions.
A
Obviously Stephen wrote a few.
B
Yeah. And she wanted an interesting game, so she. The. The girl. The girl, yeah.
A
She's wild. It was giving Housewives, like, who plays a game like that?
B
Yeah, I'm. I feel like they'll play it on Housewives.
A
I never heard of this game before, but it's so Housewives coded.
B
Yeah. I would not drink. I don't care what you guys think of me.
A
Seriously. You're all low life losers. You're going nowhere in life. I'm all set. Ttyl ttfn Tata for now.
B
So, yeah, that's. Tell me. Like, it's episode eight.
A
So, like, what is there 10 episodes?
B
Oh, so this was the story that Brie and the actor who plays.
A
Oh, Evan was being a real prick. Yeah. I feel like that was very incongruous with the guy that we know. Like, he really loves Bri. I feel his love is really genuine. And this sort of groundbreaking moment, him being like. Well, why don't you tell me? Like.
B
Yeah, and I think that comes from, like, him, like, being, like, so loving and, like, possessive of her, where it's like he wants to be the number one person, but you would think he would be on his best behavior because he just got her back. And like, whatever you want, Bri.
A
Yeah.
B
But, yeah, he's. He's acting a little incongruous. I would agree.
A
It was confusing.
B
Yeah.
A
It was just like they needed him to conveniently become the villain.
B
Well, they said that Brie said that the finale is going to blow up the Internet.
A
Really? Isn't this a series finale?
B
No, I don't.
A
There's one more season. It feels like there's too many loose ends.
B
Yeah. And like, it's the middle of the second semester of their sophomore year. Like, they could do they have more.
A
The younger girls have more, but once.
B
The boys graduate, I think it's over.
A
Well, that's this semester.
B
There's one more semester? Yeah. It's spring.
A
How can we do one?
B
They just came back from Christmas season.
A
What time of year is it?
B
Like, I think it's like February. Oh, Valentine's Day.
A
Right. Oh, so they're only like, halfway through the way.
B
So it's halfway through the couple weeks away from the finale.
A
They still have spring break.
B
Yeah. I feel like they can equal out and who would not go do another season of such a successful show.
A
Yeah. Okay. Yeah. But after Alan Cumming saying that, like, the traitors banquet was the biggest thing.
B
I'm literally scarred, traumatized.
A
And it was like, fine. I'm not believing Bri.
B
I. I thought I was, like, you know, shrewd and jaded, and I completely fell for that. So we'll see if this really blows up the Internet.
A
I'm gonna need another briggly kiss. That's not disgusting. Just putting that out there. Please. And thanks.
B
It would have been, like, sweeter to hug in that moment, of course.
A
And just sort of, like, come to terms. Like, we're stopping fighting each other. Like, let's just.
B
We know. And you're here for me. It's not just about, like, we'll get to the kiss, you know, but right now, you're just here for. For me.
A
Yeah. Especially because it was this traumatizing evening for her with, like, her teacher.
B
Yeah. It was not, like, sexy or cute.
A
People are being like, we got her hashtag Brigley. Because I went on Twitter after to see what people were saying, and I'm like, we got breath. Like, I don't know what. You guys are still. I saw breath.
B
You had the same reaction.
A
Me and Ben had a whole conversation about it, actually, because he was shocked.
B
That's so us. I don't know why you would. I would think that, like, that you.
A
But it would have escaped me. Yeah. Like, it's, of course, my first thought. You know, I'm obsessed with breath.
B
Yeah. And it's like, everyone's waiting for this kiss. And like, that yaki on the stoop outside of her teacher's house where she just spent the night in her gothic makeup and the musty nature of the whole affair.
