A
Good morning, girlies. It's the Toast.
B
It's Jackson Claude, and we're your host.
A
It's your favorite show.
B
The best five things you need to know.
A
We'll start your day off.
B
Swirly.
A
It's the Toast.
B
They sound amazing.
A
Welcome back to the Toast and happy Wednesday. Apologies for a late episode. We were busy engaging in a sacred covenant.
B
A sacred covenant. We were celebrating the Brit mila of our nephew, the bris.
A
Olivia's son had his bris today. Always an emotional day.
B
Yes. It was a beautiful morning. So we're recording a little bit later. But if you've been here since 2018, like, it's actually, you know, the normal time.
A
Yeah. And it's a big day, you know, you find out the baby's name. I love what Olivia did. Tariq is such a beautiful name.
B
And now we can have him on Namesake.
A
Yes. Thank God. Oh, yeah. We asked Olivia just to name her baby Tarek so that we could have Tark El Moussa on Namesake.
B
Yes.
A
It was either that or Mindy.
B
The naming of Olivia's child is very exciting because, you know, a new life world, a new nephew, and that's so exciting. But the potential that it opens up for Namesake cannot be understated.
A
Every action has an equal reaction. Yes. You naming your baby, but it's also the future of Namesake is at stake.
B
Yes. So who do we want to interview on the podcast?
A
We'll have to influence all of our siblings to start naming their children after major celebrities like Tarek Elmo.
B
I need someone to name their next son Sincere.
A
Okay. Olivia's baby's not named Tark, by the way. She will be doing. We're not gonna steal her.
B
She's probably gonna post the name today, but we're not gonna, like, share it. That's her name to share.
A
But Jackie brilliantly. Segue. Today's episode is giving TV recap. Last night was part two of the Summer House reunion, the season premiere of Love island usa. We watched it all. We're recapping it all. It's going to be in the stories. If you did watch, great. If you didn't, the time stamps will be in the episode, so.
B
And if you didn't, like, it's been just one episode, you can still listen to our historical recap of it. Because I'm really curious, like, what you're going to say. I watched as much as I humanly could last.
A
I mean, an hour and 45 minutes after we also had to watch a Summer House reunion is insane work.
B
Yeah. So I was watching TV till like 10:20, I think, and then I called it a night. So I think I watched like an hour 15. I saw all the couples couple up. I saw a couple conversations of who I could see having a spark betwixt them and we'll discuss.
A
Yeah. And this is just a little tip. If you're going to be engaging in Love island that I found out last season that changed my life. The episodes are 9 o' clock on Peacock. They actually put them up at about 8:36, so I was able to watch the whole episode and go to bed at about 10:20.
B
What about summer House for the lay people?
A
I'm just, I'm, I, I didn't bring that up. Like, yes, I have access to Summer House screeners. I was able to watch the Summer house screening from 7 to 8 and then 8:30. Like I, I slayed. I wasn't like going to rub that in people's faces. Yes, yes, I did. Having said that, on days that it's not, you still can go to bed earlier because the episodes actually come out 20 minutes before they say they do.
B
Thank you so much.
A
It's a huge tip.
B
I mean, every minute counts. Like my day is scheduled to the minute within a minute of each other. Like if I can get back 20 minutes in my day, I could like seriously take over the world.
A
And I just gave you 20 minutes.
B
And I'm gonna take over the world.
A
Slay taking over the world. Yes. My husband did miss my sister's bris because he's in San Antonio. He did get permission. He like asked everyone. I did think it was okay. Like, I stand by that decision.
B
I thought it was okay.
A
Ben got like a once in a lifetime opportunity shout out to like a true mensch, a Sadie Tyler Cameron who got the opportunity of a lifetime and included Ben in it. He got asked to go to the next game with like a brand. I think it's Michelob Ultra. They're taking a private jet from New York with Nick's legends and media and influencers. And Tyler was invited and he included Ben. They flew to New York this morning. I don't believe they've gotten on the plane yet.
B
Did Tyler and Ben fly to New York together like a couple of best friends?
A
No. And I heard, I heard Ben, you're gonna love this. I heard Ben talk to texting last night because Tyler's like not a Knicks fan. He's from Florida. Yeah, I heard Ben like talk to texting last night, being like, do you need me to bring you A hat. And then when he was packing, he packed two hats. It was really cute. No. So I believe they're cute. On the tarmac at the private airport, like loading up and sent me a picture of him and Walt Clyde Frazier. Like huge. I'm really happy for Ren. Like this is major and he's the
B
size of the plane.
A
I don't know. And like Ben's giving me nothing. I'm sure. Like he can't really talk because he's like actively in it. So hopefully he can like go to the bathroom later and give me the rundown.
B
Yeah.
A
Like who else is on it? Like is Ben Stiller, Kylie and Timothy. Like who's there?
B
Yeah, who's there? Not Kylie and Timothy. They're on Kylie Air and she's in Turks and Kiko for a brand trip story for her own for her friend's vacation.
A
Yeah. One thing I love about that, and we'll talk about it is like all these other. Even Hailey Bieber, Selena Gomez, these huge beauty moguls even. They have to like slum it and do the brand trips and hang out with the influencers and make tiktoks. Kylie's like, I am not doing, doing that. Like I'll do my own version of it, but I am. She is not making like a Michaela Garrett tick tock. Like she's just not doing it.
B
She used to like, she used to do the YouTube videos.
A
Yeah, YouTube. James Charles and I just feel like that was probably curative of her ever wanting to do it again.
B
Yeah. And I think, you know, it's. You want to try and differentiate yourself. Not everyone's going to be tarting around the world. Not everyone can be tart or should be tart. So like here we're going to do like a friends and family trip and people are going to talk about it because it's different.
A
Yeah, so we'll talk about it. It's one of the stories along with Love Island. Lots to discuss. Summer house reunion as well. So anything else we want to pffb about before we d I V e in about?
B
No, I would say no. It's so weird, like doing the toast at a different time. Like usually my day is very routine.
A
Me too.
B
I the amount of beverages I consume before the toast is pretty much the same every day. The amount that I eat before the toast is, is I had a piece
A
of cake already today. That's insane.
B
Like usually I've had like my electrolytes, a couple bites of a macro bar, a coffee and then I'm Working on my water here this morning. I had my electrolytes. I've had three different kinds of bagels. None that I like. I had a bagel. I had a black and white cookie. Omar got me an iced vanilla latte that wasn't sugar free. Vanilla. So I'm, like, hopped up on sugar and I'm. I'm having a crash a little bit.
A
It's very jarring when the first thing you do of the day is not the toast. Like, that's been my life.
B
And to do. But. But to do the toast with, like, different things inside of me that I'm
A
not doing it from, like, the stomach pov. I'm talking about it for, like, the brain pov.
B
Oh, that too. But I'm like, I've never experienced, like, a sugar crash before the toast.
A
I wonder if today's episode will be worse or better, given the fact that it's not the first thing we did today.
B
I think it's. I think it's going to be amazing, but it might be a little different.
A
Different due to sometimes we need to shake it up.
B
Vanilla latte and the black and white cookie and the bagel.
A
And. And I had cake as well.
B
You did have cake. I didn't try the cake, but it was beautiful.
A
It was beautiful.
B
The place looks great.
A
It always does.
B
Thank you.
A
So, yeah, pretty much like, dying to talk about all the TV I watched last night and can't do that.
B
Oh. And then the other thing that I did yesterday was record the redheads in this studio with Ms. Margo, Dana and Rebecca on Zoom. But we have, like, a huge monitor here. So, like, it was so premium.
A
Better.
B
It was amazing. And I was also saying, like, goals for the redheads. You know, it used to be, like, redheads production company. Like, I've probably moved on from that. Get a private jet, Redheads air to fly the girls in every month.
A
Every month.
B
Record right here so we can beat together, fly them back.
A
I mean, there are technically four seats at this table that we're sitting at.
B
Four. No, it would be amazing for the redheads. And I'm so glad that, like, we had such a par set up for this book because the opinions were flying. We barely got to the questions. Good.
A
It's better when, like, people have really extreme, both positive and negative takes on a book because it makes for much better.
B
Everybody's talking about this book, so if you read the book, you have to listen to the redheads. If you're just, like, curious about the book but don't actually want to Read it. You have to listen to the redheads. Like, seriously, nobody's doing what we're doing.
A
Agreed.
B
Nobody could, nobody tried, nobody would.
A
Nobody would dare.
B
Nobody would dare read 72 books, like, for fun.
A
I wouldn't.
B
For the love of books, I wouldn't. So that's coming out tomorrow.
A
Let's dive in. Like, I just.
B
Wow. Okay.
A
I want to do it, you know?
B
Oh, wow. Okay.
A
Oh, yeah. I got, like, a little charm.
B
It's not little.
A
Yeah, I have, like, a little charm.
B
It's very big.
A
ASMR with my charm. Like, this is so.
B
Like, I'm so Gen Z for sure, but it's big. By the way, yesterday, I heard the name Garrett Geckland like, 12 more times after I had lunch.
A
You're confusing him with our other boyfriend, Garrett Headlund.
B
What's this guy's name?
A
Garrett Graham. That's his. His character.
B
Well, unfortunately, Margot is staying at my house, so I heard him come up so many more times, and it's too much.
A
It's actually not. And, like, I'm sorry that you're. And, like, the show is not for you. I actually would not recommend that you.
B
I shouldn't. Like, now. I'm sorry. It is starting to permeate a little bit more.
A
You won't like it. Like, it's just not for you. And I think it's okay for things, like, not to be for you. So don't. But, like, just acknowledge that, like, it's the biggest thing in the world right now. And, like, everyone's talking about it, and just, like, it's, like, it's good, clean fun. Well, not clean.
B
I'm just, like, so tired of, like, all of this disposable nonsense, you know, like, Gary built a business on disposal nonsense. I'm not talking about the things that are. We've been recapping Housewives for a decade. We've been talking about these shows for many years. We're not doing disposable now.
A
It's like, it's the streaming, and it's a culture.
B
The biggest thing ever was, like, to the kissing booth, to all the boys
A
before, and it's like, yeah.
B
And I just want something real.
A
Okay, but, like, for me, like, the kissing booth is still the most important thing. No.
B
The minute all the boys. You are. You are the embodiment. The minute. To all the boys I love before
A
so young and Gen Z.
B
All you said was kissing with. Could never kiss me was a piece of shit.
A
Yeah. And so I was only able to see that after I saw A movie as good as to all the boys I've loved before.
B
You know what? It's like fast fashion. It's fast content.
A
It is the summer I turn pretty.
B
Everything, everything is like two days blows up. Every. This person's like everywhere. It's just, it feels a little artificial and I find it fatiguing.
A
So I agree that like the way content gets rolled out, I think it's also very expensive and exhausting for like streaming services because nothing has a lasting impact. Like, and it' great what's happening with off campus. But like, it'll die down when season two comes out. It won't be as big as season one. Like, whatever. Yes, these things have. Except I feel like tell me lies actually.
B
Yeah, tell me lies. Really? There was meat. There is a meat season.
A
It was just as buzzy as the one before. More often than not, the second and third seasons of these shows, like, you just do die down. So I agree, like, as a more of a statement on culture. Like, it is crazy that content, it gets churned out so quickly. They spend like $20 million on a TV show that people talk about for less than a week and then it's on to the next. On to the Next.
B
More than 20 million.
A
And that's more that, that's more of like a statement on just like general culture, like people's spans and like binge culture. So don't take it out on Garrett Graham, okay?
B
My boyfriend, like, he is really the straw for me.
A
Like, don't hate the player, hate the game.
B
I. I am hating both.
A
Well, I could, they could never make me hate you, Garrett Graham. But again, don't watch it. Like, I think it'll make this situation worse for you.
B
If I know what they're actually, if
A
I know because you just won't like it. Like, it's not for you.
B
Right? But what if I watched it and I liked it and like, then I'm like, okay, I get like, why everyone's talking about it. But you're saying, but, like, that just won't happen.
A
I know you. You're just too, like, you can put
B
me in a box. You really can.
A
Okay, watch it. I would absolutely love for you to watch it.
B
Maybe I will, but now I have to watch Love Island. But maybe I would. But it's like, yeah, it's like if anybody needs anything for me in the
A
next month, like six, six weeks, they
B
said last night I can't do anything.
A
I currently am working two full time jobs and one of them is watching
B
Love island usa and Being a full time mother, three jobs, it's a lot. You try being a TV recapper for a day.
A
Try it.
B
But it's like if I watched off campus and it was like, bad, you know, like, say, objectively, is. Is off campus objectively. Not me, not you. Is it good or is it bad?
A
I can't answer that because my initial criticisms of the show. Well, of course, my initial criticisms of the show I do feel are still true. Like, it is community theater. It's like corny ABC Family, but, like, if you could just not take it that seriously and just like relax a little bit. Like, it's a fun show and it's like sweet. And you do find yourself like grinning when he's just like a cute guy. He's an athlete. Like, it's very.
B
I like ABC family type content. I like Hallmark. Yeah.
A
Yeah. So maybe. Well, I don't know. I can never. I don't know. I don't know what you'd like.
B
Try it. I think I have to watch it to find out if.
A
But if you watch it, I need you to commit to three episodes.
B
Okay.
A
Okay.
B
In six weeks.
A
Yeah. Ttisw talk to you in six weeks.
B
Yeah. So let's get into the stories. The fast five stories that you da do need to know and the fast

B
T U R T. You're welcome.
A
Better Turt Constantly striving to be a better Turt. Do you find that you're constantly trying to be a better Jert?
B
Yeah. Always good to to work on JER itself. 100 Our First Story Summerhouse Reunion Part 2 Bombshells. First Sierra Miller FaceTimes Wes Wilson's ex Miha who shares new timeline details.
A
Yeah that was helpful. When, when I first saw Sierra calling her I'm like okay, this is kind of like low hanging fruit and like you don't need more people on your side. I just thought like it was kind of like lame. But she did share like her and Wes having dated over the summer and she's like at the apartment while he's at in the Hamptons for the weekends. Like, okay, that's crazy.
B
Yeah, that is crazy. And when she said. And Kyle said, like, you had a girlfriend when you're dating Amanda. Like, I don't care. Yeah. I don't care about this. Unless the girlfriend was Lindsay Hubbard. Like, I don't care.
A
The girlfriend in the room with us.
B
I don't just care about, like, a random person. And someone always has the girlfriend, whatever.
A
Giving. Like the Bachelor. When somebody, like, he broke up with me before, you know, it's like, okay, great, totally.
B
But for them to have cumulatively been together almost a year. He was actually seeing her over the summer. So, like, did he cheat on her with Sierra? What was that about? Have Sierra and Miha spoke right that moment? Also, Mija was, like, waiting for him in New York at his apartment all
A
the time while he was in the
B
Hamptons, while he was filming. He said that he wouldn't be able to be on the show if he had a girlfriend.
A
Not true.
B
Which I think is true for season one cast members.
A
No. West is, like, a staple now, and he's had, like, a lot of. He's very invested in the friend group. You're allowed to be in a relationship.
B
Yeah. And I guess he could have of if he really liked her, you know, offered to bring her on the show. But he also said, like, he was sort of protecting her from public opinion and whatnot. He was sort of giving this girl the run around.
A
Yeah.
B
She's like a schmuck waiting at the apartment. Like, yeah, he says he loves me, but, like, he's.
A
I can't go on the show.
B
I can't be seen out in public with him. He loves me too much.
A
Yeah. Right, right.
B
And she's, like, building furniture for him.
A
Like, oh, that was dark. The field, the build. I've been married. I've been married for 10 years. I would never build a piece of furniture for my husband.
B
At first, when Sierra said, like, didn't you build the furniture in his apartment? I was like, is she a carpenter? Because I know she made the ties. So I was like, maybe she's a pansy.
A
Very.
B
She builds. Maybe. Like, I follow some girls on Instagram who. Who build furniture. They do. So I was like, maybe that's what she does. She was saying, like, we. You know, and that's the thing couples do is they build the Ikea furniture. They fight, they work through it. They're stronger for it.
A
She was making a more of a statement on, like, the level of commitment they had made to one. Sure.
B
But I did not see that as A slight.
A
I had two major takeaways from this reunion. One, like, everyone was pissing me off because I'm all down to, like, clown on west and Amanda. Like, I'm there with you all. But, like, when we are rewriting history when it comes to Amanda and Kyle's marriage, like, I found that really frustrating because it's like, yeah, we can now look at everything with, like, more of a sinister eye and, like, not blame Kyle for everything. But, like, we all watched. We all saw what happened this summer. And so for everyone, like, seriously, I'm surprised they didn't snap their necks bending over backwards just to try to make their marriage completely Amanda's fault. Like, it was actually painful because up until now, like, like what everyone against oh man. And west have had on their side is, like, the truth. And, like, now it's like we're bending the truth. Like, Kyle's not this guy.
B
He is not an amazing guy.
A
Everyone trying to, like, what do you mean? Like, he never cheated on you. And it's like, what are you guys talking about? Like, everyone was actually pissing me off to the point where it's like, okay, well, now the team of truth tellers is actually starting to lie, and that's pissing me off.
B
Yeah. And like, Sierra saying, like, I wish I saw things from your side this summer. I got the impression this summer that Sierra doesn't even like Kyle as a friend. Like, not only is he a bad husband, but a bad. Her best friend. But, like, she's not interested in a friendship with him. So, like, now rewriting history. Been like, I should have, like, been there for you. Like, been there for whom?
A
Snow. And when they were, like, rehashing the argument where he told her to shut the up, called her a dumb. Like, we're all sort of. We're rationalizing it.
B
We're justifying it as, like, a wicked woman now. So it's like, well, of course the wicked woman should deserved it. Yeah.
A
And it's like, let's not do that. Let's not rewrite. Two things can be true. It was really pissing me off. And even when, like, west had to apologize to Kyle, the only time he apologized in this whole reunion so far was he apologized to Kyle for the wolf street, which I didn't think was a bad analogy. I thought I agreed with him. Like, what? Like, so now west is to apologize for saying something about Kyle in regards to how Kyle speaks to his wife. Like, everything was just kind of backwards when we were talking about Amanda and Kyle's marriage. It was pissing me off.
B
Yeah. And it really wasn't that big of a deal. He tried to make an analogy. Sure, it was a little harsh, but, like, for Kyle to, like, go crying, whining, like, you ruined my gift.
A
Like, oh, right, yeah, the watch. Like, no, everyone has lost the plot now. Like, and it's just annoying when people do that because now it's like, well, now I'm, like, looking at everything you're saying with, like, a little bit of a suspicious eye. But it was the first time in the reunion where the. The. The couch that I'm siding with, like, was pissing me off.
B
Yeah.
A
When we talk about West End, Amanda, we talk about the timeline. Like, they are 100% wrong. They shouldn't even speak because there's nothing to say.
B
Two things that are, like, bothering me and lingering for me. One, like, I need someone to ask the question. Like, Amanda, you were best friends with Sierra this summer. Crying in the bed together like, sisters. Sisters. How do you go from that to your feelings for this man are strong enough to betray your sister, even though you've never said you're in love, you hadn't had that. You're just exploring something. Like, how do you rationally make that decision in your head? Like, where was your relationship at with Sierra in January, in February, when Sierra says she's been there for you and she's talking about drinks and so, like, what gave you permission to do that to someone who is a sister to you? Why. Why did you think that that was an okay thing to do? 1. The other thing is that everyone keeps saying west cares so much about being his image. Dara said it. And we've been saying this for years. You know, the watch parties, the fans he want. He cares about his Q score. He resented Sierra for, like, turning the fans against him. What I don't understand, like, when people say that, it just makes me feel like he loves Amanda even more because he's throwing all of that in the garbage.
A
But I think it's just like, the alternative. Like, he acted on an impulse. Impulse. And it went so south that the alternative to now, like, backing out of it is worse.
B
But they could have made out once in private. In private, even if it came to light, you know, apologize. Because he cares about being likable.
A
Yeah.
B
But it seems as though he likes Amanda more than he cares about being likable. So the more that they say that and that he's using her to be likable, they've never been more unlikable.
A
Yeah.
B
It's not adding up. It actually makes me feel like it. He's thrown away everything that he once cared about more than anything for this girl.
A
And maybe it's just that we've, like, beat this situation to a horror, like, beat to a pulp that, like, now I'm just starting to see alternative sides because, like, you can only talk about something so much before you offer another perspective. But, like, everyone was really pissing me off last night. Like, I think that, like, undoubtedly what they've done is wrong and their behavior is really strange. That's really what it is. But I think that people are taking it. Like, I think KJ putting his, like, family history and drama on Wes, like, that's. That's unfair. It's a lot like, that kind of has nothing to do with this. And I'm sorry that, like, maybe you resonate with this type of behavior, but to put all of that on Wes is, like, really not his doing. So I just feel like now everyone's really lost the plot, and they're just, like, obsessed with yelling at Amanda and Kyle. So much so to the point where it's making a man and Kyle look. Look. Amanda and west, like, look good. Like, I actually felt bad for Amanda.
B
Like, yeah. It's like, bring her back out so we can beat her up more.
A
Yeah. Like, I actually. I felt bad for her.
B
They're like, get out here, coward. Like, yeah. Yeah. And she's really just, like, doing her best. She's obviously just trying to get through the day. She doesn't care how it goes. She doesn't care what said to her. She's there to be a punching bag and move forward from it, but she's, like, obviously having a hard time doing that, despite all the copious medication that she appears to be on.
A
Yeah.
B
Because it is hard, of course. And it's like, everyone, like, pretends to also, like, kind of care because Lindsay's like, I. I'll go after her.
A
Yeah.
B
So I can beat her up again,
A
you know, Lindsay was, like, piling on a little bit, like, ever. They all are.
B
And I understand they are in the right. What she did was so wrong. Like, let's get her.
A
Yeah. But, like, to what end?
B
To what end? They've chosen each other. They don't think it's a huge deal. And the bigger deal that everyone makes it, the more it.
A
Like, we're all. At least for me, I'm like, all right. Like, it's bad. Yeah.
B
Yeah. But it gets to a point where, like, does the punishment fit the crime?
A
Let's talk quickly about Lindsay and Carl. The way I ship, like, when he was, like, saying how it meant so much to him that Lindsay came.
B
Like, what do you mean? Of course you came. It's her job.
A
And he did also, like, apologize. I feel like as Lindsay, we were like, Lindsay truthers. He did pull the rug out. Rug out from underneath her. And I think that everybody, like, hated Lindsay at that time. So Carl was sort of like, victim. Yeah. And for him to be like, no, like, like, it meant a lot for. For me for her to come, like, even after how I treated her, which, like, I am really sorry for. Just. It was like a very small, brief acknowledgment. But, like, for me as a Lindsay truther, it felt good.
B
But I need that from the rest of the cast. They were so awful to her then.
A
Lindsay's right. Like, when Amanda leaves, Lindsay's like, you know, how many? And it's true. Lindsay for like three seasons in a row was just getting her ass beat at the reunion. Like, all the girls, the girls were so mean to her. Like, the girls. Girls, like, they just were looking for anything to. To find fault in with her. And, yeah, she never got up. She's just like, she's a different breed.
B
She's built different. She's tough and she's strong and she can handle it. Amanda is weak and she can't handle it.
A
Yeah, but it's a good point. Like, I could see. I could see why she has sort of no sympathy for Amanda because, like, yeah, Lizzie's like, I didn't even do as bad as you, and I get to take it. They.
B
They get the credit for coming to the reunion. We get to say, like, they came to the reunion. You know, if they didn't come to the ring and they'd be off the next season, it would be a breach of contract. Contract. So someone was saying, like, she comes to the reunion, but she's not actually going to do the reunion. It seems like a bit of a cop out, but she's doing it. She's doing it.
A
Like, I. I now am at the place where I feel like she's been punished. I don't think she fully understands why what she did is so wrong. That's what's crazy.
B
And for me, it's the betrayal of Sierra. How you could do that to a sister with the guy that she was crying with you over for five months ago because their relationship went a little bit into September, I guess. Guess so that's happening in September. And then, like, January, you Start February, you start catching feelings. Like, that's the thing that she really needs to answer for. In the beginning of the saga, I was like, oh, my God, that's crazy. For Kyle, like, his best friend and his wife's Mrs. You know, but his bait, his mates Mrs. But Kyle was such a shite husband. It's true.
A
So I. I agree. I actually don't think. Let's say Wes was just Kyle's friend, not Sierra's. Exactly. Like, you know what? When you treat your wife like such dog, you actually don't get the respect afterwards.
B
That would be if Amanda started dating Jesse Solomon, which would be cute.
A
Yeah. It would be crazy. Like, maybe it would be a storyline.
B
It would be scandalous. But I think a lot of people would root for it. They would want to see her happy. She chose the one person who she should not have chosen.
A
Absolutely. And I don't think she fully gets. I don't think she's really sorry. Like, I think that the way it. The way it unraveled, like, I think she's thinks is unfortunate, but I don't think she's, like, deep, deeply sorry to Sierra, but that's insane, you know? So she's crazy, like, and so that's why it's, like, hard to even have a full thought on it. Because on the one hand it's like, well, you know what? Like, we've berated the girl enough. She has mental health issues. Like, how much are we going to do? Like, what do we want to happen? But on the other hand, it's like, do you even understand why people are mad at you? I don't think that she does.
B
Yeah.
A
It's very odd behavior.
B
Yeah. I guess. I guess she would have to really be like, I'm so sorry I did this to you. Like, I love him. That's really all she could say.
A
Yeah.
B
And they're not at that place in their relationship. It's very. Aw.
A
Now, I also have a hot take about, like, Dara's double.
B
Double homicide. Yeah.
A
She, like, made this, like, monologue that everybody, I think, thought was really powerful. I think she just used big words to say what we're all saying is that he's gonna throw you out like trash the second he's done.
B
No, no, he said. She said what everyone has been saying, but she said it in a new.
A
Eloquent.
B
An eloquent way.
A
And so much so that they made her repeat it. And she, like, embellished a lot the second time, like, it was.
B
I just knew she, like, did it Again, amazingly. Again.
A
I feel like that's something we would have, like, missed in editing. Like, you know, somebody says something, but she wasn't there, so they'll redo it again. But, like, the fact that they showed it to us twice, like, I just felt awkward.
B
Like, yeah. I guess they thought that, like, Dara might have West's back because they came on his friends.
A
Yeah.
B
And I guess she was just issuing a warning to Amanda. But, yeah. Everything Dara said just made me feel like Wes loves her.
A
Oh, wow. You're seeing it from a new side.
B
Yeah. Because he cares so much about his Q score and being likable and the ladder and the social climbing, and he just went down 20 pegs to do this.
A
He gave up so many things that we've been told are so deeply important to him for Amanda that it's got to be true love.
B
So if I'm Amanda, I'm winning.
A
Flattered.
B
Winning. Because I know she went into the dressing room and she's like, the things that they're saying about you are, like, really, like, sort of destabilizing her in terms of, like, if she can trust him. But, like, if I'm her, I'm like, wow, he turned his back on all that he loved for me. For me.
A
It's beautiful.
B
And then I did think the FaceTime to MIHA was illusory. I appreciate the information about the summer. And it's funny because on the one hand, Wes is in the room being like, it's gonna get easier from here on out, I think. Yeah. They didn't even show a preview for part three. I think part three. We've not seen anything of. We've not heard anything of. I think we have no idea what's. I think beautiful. I think part three is, like, really gonna be explosive. And we have no idea what's coming because they're gonna bring up Miha and the time.
A
Oh, maybe, like, Amanda doesn't even know.
B
Yeah. But also, they're in Rome together, so they're like. They're rubbed up.
A
Yeah.
B
And she's still rocking that bunny tail that everyone's clowning on her.
A
Half bun, half ponytail.
B
Yeah. Whereas, like, before West Mandeville, they would be like, slay Ellie Bieber.
A
The new hairstyle of the season. Totally.
B
Everyone's just full of shite.
A
I thought that I didn't have a season three premiere. Like, Sorry, excuse me.
B
Start again.
A
You know what? No. What's next?
B
You thought you didn't have a season three premiere.
A
I thought that my episode didn't Give me premiere for part three.
B
What?
A
At the end. Because I was watching Screener, I thought maybe they don't do that.
B
I was watching a screener, too. It said to be continued. A. To be continued never gets a.
A
Yes, it does.
B
No, it doesn't.
A
Yeah, it does.
B
It did just say to me, okay. I started watching the screener, too, because I couldn't deal with commercials.
A
Yeah, okay.
B
You know, I don't like to watch my screeners, but the audio was good.
A
Yeah.
B
So to be continued on that. Also, apparently in the city got a little crazy because they showed a scene from October of West at. And Amanda at, like, a group lunch or whatever, and she's, like, having a fun, flirty time. Everyone's man in this world. And then she shooting her confessional, and she's talking, you know, in past tense, like, about what was happening in October. And the producer comes on, breaks. The fourth wall is like, I think we need to speak as of now. And they show the date. It's May 5, but they're filming this confessional. And so they're like, in this scene, like, did you have feelings for West?
A
And what did you say?
B
I. I was driving, so. And the light turned green, so she said no. She said no. But, like, they're really breaking the fourth wall. And, like, they have, like, trying to weave, you know, tell the story from a couple different points of time.
A
And, like, I'm sorry. To the other castmates who were, like, hoping to get to be, like, you know, understood and heard, but, like, I. I can't. I cannot take on new people right now in terms of this group. There's too much left to do. So sorry, Kenny, It'll have to wait.
B
Or, like, Yvonne, she's pregnant.
A
I don't even know who that is.
B
Lindsay's friend. Her husband didn't know. She want to marry.
A
Yeah, yeah. Yvonne with a Y. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
B
The husband didn't know she went.
A
Yeah.
B
So that's Summer House recap. Finale next week. See you there.
A
Second story.
B
Love IslandUSA Lausa introduces a new twist in season eight premiere that leaves a contestant in tears.
A
What was the twist?
B
Like, the bombshells, like, came and left.
A
Who cried?
B
Kenzie.
A
Did she? This is crazy. Okay, so the first episode, you know, it's always tough to, like, know everyone's names and, like, it's a lot of information. I was really hyped up for the music video that they do in the beginning because I feel like that song, like, always becomes the song of the summer. That's just the way you make me feel. That was one last year, and then there was a lot of rumors that this one this year was going to be it's the Midnight Sun, Kiss, get under the Red Sky. And they did use that song for somebody's package, but I did not like the song that they chose.
B
Yeah.
A
And I love Segala. There's so many good cigala ones. I didn't know that one. I didn't like it.
B
The thing is, the person who does music for Love island is a genius. Is a musical genius.
A
I'm always Shazam.
B
Hans Zimmer could never.
A
Absolutely.
B
Mozart could never, never.
A
My phone is permanently in Shazam.
B
During the episode. So I'm going to trust that. And as the music video went on, I like the song more and more. I'm gonna trust that it's going to become like, they know what they're. They have the ear.
A
Okay.
B
Don't doubt the Love island sound mixer.
A
So, like, there are no early favorites because everyone is, like, pretty average looking. And personality, like, there's no one who stands out.
B
I like Melanie because she's very beautiful.
A
Mel is definitely the prettiest. I like Melanie a lot.
B
And Melanie and Sincere appear to have a sincere relationship. And they stayed with each other. There were a couple, despite the bombshells towards the end.
A
Like, I was really surprised, like, didn't stay with one another. Shawn and the Olympian.
B
She walked out.
A
Yeah. Yeah. She.
B
She left him. Yeah.
A
I thought they had, like, amazing chemistry, and I kind of liked them together. I really like her. I think it's, like, a really hard position to be in, to come on a show like this and be, like, in, like, she said she has a disability. I don't know if I would call her, like, an amputee or whatever, but it's like, such a Gallo show, and everyone's so obsessed with, like, looks and hot bombshell. So I think she. And she also has an amazing personality.
B
She's bursting with personality and confidence that she's.
A
She's probably, like, an early favorite for me. And I was disappointed that she didn't choose Sean.
B
I know. Let's talk about Sean, the police officer who wants to spit in your mouth.
A
Yeah. So it was very you guys when he said he likes to. And you know what?
B
I seriously call the mayor.
A
I really need to be more careful of my digital footprint that I'm leaving behind because, like, I'm literally someone's mother. But, like, when he said he likes to fuck girls from the back and
B
spit in there, and he's Someone's father and police officer.
A
Oh, right. Oh, and he also said he was a police officer for six years, even though we know it was only one year because the mayor blew up his spot. Look, I just about died when they started making out and, like, they were opening the door and, like, you would have to kiss the person who was outside the door. But sometimes there was three girls, and they were all just, like, swapping. Like, I actually felt like I was watching a pornography. Like, it was insane. And I guess the Love Island UK version, they say, is, like, much cleaner. And it's probably my least favorite part of the show. I don't know if that makes me, like, a prude. And nobody agrees, but, like, it's really too much like, the ASMR kissing. Like, I could throw up. I feel like I'm watching a horror movie. Sometimes I cover my eyes.
B
It's really disgusting. And it doesn't serve the.
A
Like, I don't know what purpose it serves in the plot. Like, I really wish they would stop doing that.
B
I know last season, it was my least favorite part.
A
And then the challenges, when they were,
B
like, humping this season, they decided to kick it up a notch. They said, more kissing, more saliva, more partners. More, more, more.
A
Like, I find it gross at least with, like, the.
B
The. The body, the heart rate challenge. That's like, the. At least that's one and challenge. that point, the. The villagers, like, know each other. It's funny. Everyone looks forward to it. I can excuse a little bit of raunchiness, but, like, night one out of the gate. Like, multiple partner swapping slide. But, like, kissing as if they're in, like, a romantic movie.
A
Like, romantic movie, a pornographic movie.
B
Like, they're kissing. Like, it's like, you're back for more. It's like, I just want to say, like, what?
A
Going into a kitchen kiss with your tongue already out is disgusting. Like, tongues are supposed to come out once the kiss has begun. Like, literally, if I ever saw them kiss at me and they come at me, their tongues already out of their mouth, like, are you a dog? Are you a dog?
B
Also, remember last season? Like, Bella wasn't kissing. She did cheek kisses. I thought that was so cute. I would have, like, liked for this season to have, like, more people like that who are like, I'll give you a peck and let's take it from there. But they obviously felt the opposite. Like, never do it again.
A
Bigger sluts and whores. Like, that's insane. I'm sorry. Like, not to be, like, patronizing Like, I'm better than you. Like, I am. I would never do that. And it's like, are your parents watching this show?
B
No. And it's like, you actually can apply for the show. Like, it just. If you're looking for love and fame and earnest. Because you also, like, have to make out with five people a day. No.
A
And what's crazy, actually, I was seeing this. What show was. I just. Oh, I was watching off campus, where it's like, these people are all actors, but you're also, like, porn stars. Like, you do porn on television. Like, that's porn star. And so it's like, yeah, you're a nursing student, but you're also like a low key porn star.
B
Yeah.
A
It's insane.
B
Yeah. There's really no going back to your job.
A
So I just. I hate that part of the show. I really do. I do think it ruins it.
B
And I thought it was just gonna be like one challenge of, like, which sex position do you like? And then there was multiples.
A
Oh, and the episode was so long, I do feel like they could have cut some stuff. Like, are you a dog, cat, or plant person?
B
Yeah.
A
Even though Casey, when he, like, nobody. Nobody was behind his door. And then he got like, coupled up. Like two losers getting a couple dub together. Even though I kind of like, he had such a funny.
B
They stood by each other.
A
Yeah. And he had a very funny take after it. He was like, I feel like I lost everyone with the plants. Like, he was really making me laugh.
B
Yeah. I would have went to every door that I thought would be the least popular with no one behind.
A
So I didn't have to kiss anyone. I didn't have to kiss anyone. But it's also like, Love island is a humiliation.
B
Like, any guy would know. Like, the dog, if you want to kiss multiples, like, go to the dog door.
A
But the show was literally a humiliation ritual because. What do you mean? No one was behind your door? Like, I would be. I would never recover from that.
B
Yeah. It's better to, like, go on. It's better when it's happened to a guy, though.
A
Of course.
B
Yeah. But he w. Winds. Oh. And then Anaya has to be, like, discarded. When there's two for one. Yeah.
A
Two losers together.
B
Yeah.
A
It's like nobody wanted them. And it's like, that's not sexy. That's not a good way to start a relationship.
B
No, but they like kissing.
A
It's like you. It's too much. Because then when people do kiss and like, I guess they, like, are actually in love, like, how are we supposed to know?
B
No, I know. And, like, it's a big deal to, like, kiss outside of a challenge. I guess, like, that's how islanders figure it. It's like everyone kisses in a challenge. But, like, did you kiss outside of a challenge?
A
Got it.
B
And some people were kissing outside of challenge.
A
Yes, they were. Like, when they opened the door, they would, like, kiss each other.
B
Yeah. Yeah. I didn't get to the first night yet. They were just, like, talking about breakfast. Seriously? Breakfast in the villa. They make it so such an ordeal. And I guess, like, one season, someone did. The men made breakfast for the women. The viewers loved it. And now it's like, what do you want for breakfast? Like, I just stop.
A
And it's, like, not fair that. That the islanders sleep on the main floor and the girls have to get dressed on the top floor. They have to walk upstairs after they wake up. Whereas, like, the guys get dressed right there. The glam room should be on the same floor as the kitchen and the bedrooms.
B
Why?
A
Just, like, we have to go up and downstairs when you're, like, getting dressed and doing your makeup.
B
These are, like, some of the fittest people on.
A
No, no. The men should have to walk upstairs
B
to, like, they don't have a room like. Like that.
A
The showers.
B
The showers are for everyone.
A
Oh, are they co ed?
B
Yeah.
A
That's nuts.
B
Yeah. But no, having, like, a little, like, you know, tree house where that's a glam room. Like. Yes, please give me my privacy.
A
Oh, I'm sorry to tell you this, but, like, big loser is Charlie's brother. Like, he was just giving. Nothing, like, bad.
B
Yeah, he didn't give a lot, but I wouldn't say, like, a lot.
A
Not a good group. Yeah.
B
People gave, like, everyone gave nothing.
A
Yeah.
B
I would say some of the guys in their packages that came off, off as, like, kind of, like, good quality sticks.
A
Yeah, it wasn't like, a lot of.
B
Yeah. It seems like people looking for love. People who, like, love their mothers and, like, you know, respect women.
A
So what part did you get up to? They all stepped on the red and the green.
B
Yes. And then they got in their couples, and then I saw a conversation between Sincere and Melanie where they both, like the Eagles and she bleeds green, and they were excited about that.
A
You saw the red and the green?
B
No, I read about it. Oh, okay.
A
So what. Let me just tell you what happens at the end of the episode. So. So if you like your couple, there's a door. You can't see your boyfriend. But if you want to Stay in the couple. You st. You step on green. And if you want to leave the couple, you step on red. So Casey and Sincere and Melanie. No, Melanie and Sincere and Casey and Anaya both stayed with one another. Sean stayed, but Bea left.
B
What's Zach?
A
Zach left. And what's her name? Crazy.
B
Kenzie stayed.
A
Kenzie stayed. And then who's the other couple?
B
Bryce and Trinity.
A
Oh. Oh, did they?
B
Okay.
A
So then the new bombshells came, and nobody sees the results yet. The bombshells came and made out with the people who wanted to leave the relationships and then, like, took the people who with them and went somewhere in the episode ended.
B
Yeah, the bombshell. The girl looks beautiful.
A
Gorgeous.
B
The boy. I thought that boy was the one who. Gabriel, who got fired.
A
Yeah, no, he's Brazilian and he's extremely hot.
B
I saw, like, a really on point tweet last night about this.
A
Like, I just want to say the best part of watching Love island is reading the tweets. People are so funny.
B
It is true. It said production had a whole year to cast and do their checks, but waiting till cast reveal to remove people because of public opinion, like, stand on business and keep the cast you casted. These range fans are so annoying.
A
It's true.
B
You had a year.
A
No, you, obviously, you do a lot of, like, extensive.
B
You spend time with. You're gonna put someone as an OG villager. Like, you get to know their personality. Are they a good person? Are they a bad person? So, like, stand up. Like, that's who you cast. And, like, if they've made a mistake in their past, I'm done having this conversation because it is what it is. Like, you've done something. You're getting fired. Goodbye. Goodbye. I'm not here to, like, argue with Peacock and be like. You should, like, you know, stand behind the people that you cast and not, like, throw them to the wolves over something that they once did when they're clearly not a bad person, or you wouldn't have cast them.
A
Right.
B
That's how I feel. Obviously, I've said that before. I'm not gonna. Every time someone drops, like, vi. I'm just saying goodbye. Like, obviously, this is how they choose to conduct their business. I think it's stupid. Moving on.
A
Yeah. Melanie, in her package had, like, a really good. She's like, like, about. Did you hear what she said about, like, girls. Girls? She's like, when I hear someone say she's a girl, Scarlet, like, run the other way.
B
Yeah. You should just. You don't have to say. You should Just be it.
A
Yeah, so we'll see. Like, it's too soon to tell. The group isn't giving me, like insane vibes.
B
No.
A
One way or the other. It's kind of all like very mid, but it's.
B
And Sean is a father.
A
Yes.
B
Did I say that?
A
Bea said it was a red flag. She would never date someone in the real world with. And that might be part of the reason why she stepped on the red. Oh, yeah. She had said that to the girls, being like, she would like, if somebody was. And like, I didn't like the way the girls were saying it. They were like, when they were doing their, like, getting ready for bed, they were like, hey, like, what do you think? Like, he has a big. And she was like, red flag. Like a red flag to be a father. Like, yeah, it could be like a. A like or a dislike.
B
No. And it's not like he like abandoned his child. He actually like moved across the country, like, got a job there, like to just be there for his kind of
A
giving Jalen, like, in terms of just like, stand up guy.
B
He is. But there is.
A
Sorry. The bar is in hell. All the girls were like, you moved like, to be with your son. That's amazing. It's like if a mom did that, you'd be like, yeah, move.
B
Well, you don't have to move because they're with you.
A
No, like, you know what I mean? Like, the bars, they're like, you did.
B
I thought that like, okay, so the bars in hell, I thought it was
A
like, no, I love that I did it.
B
So I did the right thing.
A
Correct.
B
But he could have done the wrong thing.
A
Yeah.
B
Been like, I don't see my kid a lot right there across the country.
A
So she said it was like a red flag and that if somebody, you know, in the real world had a son, like, she would never even entertain. Which I just thought was like, kind of mean.
B
Yeah, I agree.
A
And now I understand why, like, Hooda didn't tell anyone that she had a kid. Like, people are so mean.
B
She, like, pulled the wool over everyone's eyes and then like, made that's not a good way to Jeremiah's stepdad. He didn't even know.
A
Yeah, that's not a good way to do it either.
B
No, no, it's good. But you know what? Like, then she's not right for him. If, like, she can't possibly contemplate, like, dating someone with a child. She's right for him. I do think, like, leaving the forces to do Love island is really crazy.
A
It's a nutty thing to do.
B
And I understand like why the mayor felt like he needed to say something
A
about it and like he felt personally victimized by love.
B
And I didn't realize like there are a lot of like threats to, to police forces, you know, budget cuts, etc. I didn't realize like the police force is up against Love island as well.
A
She's added to the list, like if
B
it makes sense, they're like fit, you know, looking for love.
A
The pool of people who are eligible for the police force while also being eligible for Love Island USA is like,
B
they're kind of picking from the same pool.
A
Yeah. Of like, of like young, fit males mostly. Yeah.
B
Oh wow. The show's not over. Not even close. Are you ready for our third story?

B
Our next story, a little moving casting news. Sasha Peters will star as Rosemary Kennedy in the tragic story of JFK of K's sister. So Rosemary Kennedy is getting the biopic treatment starring Sasha Peters.
A
Rosemary Kennedy is one of the craziest stories, like, of our time. So it's sort of ripe for a biopic. Sasha Peters feels like such a random casting just because, like, we know her as a. Yeah, but she's like a talented, competent actor and I'm sure she'll be great.
B
I don't know why it feels right, like, seeing the pictures side by side. Like I it. There's no one who, like, immediately comes to mind for Rosemary and I'm just like, I like Sasha Peters. Like, put her in coach.
A
Like, it's not Anne Hathaway, you know?
B
Yeah.
A
Like it's something new. Yeah, it feels random. But she is like an a competent actress. And so, yeah, like, do something new. Do something different. I agree. I have no problems with this. It just feels random.
B
For those who don't know, Rosemary Kennedy was the sister of President John F. Kennedy and senators Robert F. And ten Kennedy. As a child, she reportedly exhibited developmental delays and in her young adult adult years is said to have developed behavioral issues. In response, the family patriarch, Joseph Kennedy senior arranged a lobotomy on her when she was 23 years old. A procedure which left her permanently incapacitated. She spent most of the rest of her life being cared for at an institution in Wisconsin. And she was isolated from family and siblings for long periods of time. She died from natural causes in 2005 at age 86.
A
It's such a terrible story. They literally removed a whole chunk of her brain. And like, now, knowing what we know, like, what were her behavioral issues? Was she like autistic? Like, you know what I mean? Like, is there something now that we know, like, what she would have been considered?
B
I don't know.
A
Like, behavioral issues is just so.
B
Yeah.
A
General.
B
And like, developmental delays could really be anything.
A
She wasn't crawling. Like, what was it? You know.
B
No, she was 23 years old.
A
No, but I. But you say developmental delays. Like, it could mean a million things.
B
She could have been like, acting out. I don't know.
A
Right. It's such a, like, it's such a dark corner of the Kennedy family history.
B
Yeah. It comes up a lot. Like, people always talk about it. I think people only really know that, you know, she was lively.
A
Yeah.
B
Like over excited. 23 year old. And then she had a lobotomy.
A
And then she's at her parents, like, behest.
B
Yeah. And then she was incapacitated for the rest of her life and disabled.
A
Yeah. It's. It's sort of like a shit stain on the Kennedy family legacy. It's like. And they kept her hidden. Like, it's just a really dark. I don't know a ton about it. Like, actually, I will see this movie, but I think people bring it up a lot too, because it's also when
B
they talk about the Kennedy curse, they. They believe that this is the origin.
A
Oh, I didn't know that.
B
That's what I've heard.
A
I thought people talked about a lot because, like, you know, when we're talking about, like, you know how like, like lobotomies are one of those things. Like hysteria, like where you would remove a woman's uterus because they thought she had hysteria. Like one of those things that you used to do medically that now we're insane. Like, people. Lobotomy used to be like a recommended surgery where you would literally cut out a piece of a.
B
You would drill into someone's skull. Yes.
A
Yeah. And now we're like, are you dumb?
B
Yeah.
A
But like, at the time it was widely considered like a leading advanced.
B
Yeah. Like smart, wealthy people doing it.
A
Right.
B
Doctors recommending it.
A
So I feel like whenever I hear about Rosemary Kennedy, it's in that context.
B
Yeah. Of like the lobotomy being cited as something that, you know, at the time was cutting edge and now is barbaric. And then it, of course, makes you think. Think about whatever we're doing right now that might seem cutting edge right now that history will remember as barbaric.
A
So Sasha Peters being cast, like, okay, I'm down.
B
I like it.
A
Me too. Where? Who?
B
What? When?
A
Where? Why? How in the movie is it a Netflix like, what is it?
B
So here's what it is. Mike Medavoy, who's a director known for Black Swan and Shutter island, is helping shepherd the film, which will be written and directed by Corey Todd.
A
Shutter island, it's getting the shutter for Sasha Peters.
B
Yeah. And Asia Adrian Speckert, whose scripts to date have included Under Fire, starring Dylan Sprouse, and Foster, starring Ron Perlman.
A
Oh, hey, Dylan Sprouse. But it doesn't say. Maybe it's going to be like a theatrical release.
B
According to the team, the contained thriller will, quote, dramatize Rosemary Kennedy's struggle with mental health, the devastating decision by her father to subject her to a lobotomy at age 23, and the long lasting consequences of that choice. The film is based on an article in all that's interesting called Rosemary Kennedy, JFK's sister, who was lobotomized and locked away.
A
I imagine the family's not thrilled. They didn't even like when that Ryan Murphy thing came out, which was largely boring. Yeah, it was largely flattering. So Gurdja Loins.
B
Yeah. Peter said of the role. Rosemary's story has been told in fragments. What drew me to this project is how it explores her as a person, not a symbol, but a fully realized human being with dreams and vulnerabilities.
A
Stop. It's like such a sad story.
B
The director said this isn't just a historical biop Pike. It's a psychological journey told through Rosemary's eyes. One that challenges the audience to reckon with how we define agency, dignity, and identity. Yeah, I'm sat.
A
Yeah, me too.
B
I'll give it five sats down.
A
Yeah, agreed.
B
Are you ready for our fourth story? Kylie Jenner boards her private jet with her kids and her friends for a lavish Turks and Caicos vacation for Kylie Cosmetics.
A
So, like I said, I love that this is like, Kylie's attempt at, like, you know, getting in the mix with, you know, brand trips and influencers. Like, I guess all of her friends, like, do have a million tick tock followers. So it's like, why would I take some randoms when I could take my friends? So it's basically just like, a girls trip with Stormy on the company card. And I love that.
B
I love that too. We know she loves Turks and Caicos. She was actually raving about Turks and Kikos with Jake Shane. So this is just, like, fun and flirty. I will say, like, for me, if I'm, like, head of comms at Kylie Cosmetic Cosmetics, like, I don't know that this is it.
A
It's not. Not at all.
B
I would have liked to see if we're really trying to, like, highlight Kylie semen, show the product, because they are like watermelon sugar lip balm coming out. I think she should have done it with all her sisters.
A
Yeah. No. This feels like they're getting in the game that everyone plays. And this is the game that you have to play when you're a celebrity founded brand. Like, you have to do the events, you have to host influencers. You have to make TikTok. You have to do brand trips. And this is, like, her getting involved in, like, her own way.
B
And they did it 10 years ago. They're also throwing fat flashbacks to pictures from the time that they did it with friends, which was also really fun when they did it then. But it's giving me a little bit, like, King Kylie, like, redoing what was once iconic and, like, not a new idea. Yeah.
A
I don't know what's right and what's next for Kylie Cosmetics, because it does feel like this brand that stuck in 2016. They release new products quite frequently, and they're products that, like, you know, they just have a new lip peptide. Like, they're on trend, but it feels like Claire's makeup. I think they need a total rebrand. I, um. I feel like it should just be called, like, Kylie, not even Kylie Cosmetics. It's just, like, I don't know what's right for the brand. I don't think that it's this. I don't think this is gonna, you know, make a big. Yeah, but I was looking at the brand's Instagram Yesterday. They have 24 million followers. Like, it's insane. And they really have no impact on the industry, like, at all. Like, this trip, like, is not doing anything.
B
Yeah. Maybe she was just taking a trip with her friends and was like, let's make it a moment for Kylie Cosmetics. They need a little bump.
A
No, she did, like, this room tour when Shake went to Sauce's room and showed what was on the bed, like, that's.
B
No. And then she ends it, and she's like, so that's everyone's rooms. She showed, like, one and a half rooms.
A
No, like, that's what they do. You deck out people's rooms on RAN trips. Like, everyone gets, like, a free laptop
B
with their name on it and a
A
robe and product and, like, comparatively, like, everyone got, like, a couple of lipsticks and a water bottle.
B
It also feels like when I'm watching the content from this trip, like, they're all on, like, an inside joke that, like, I'm on the outside of. Like, they're so, like, best friends that, like, as an outsider, it's hard to feel like you're there and you're participating because they're just, like, joking and saying half sentences and laughing at each other.
A
Success of a brand trip. It's like everybody shares everything and you feel like you're there and it's who's rooming with who, like, what's the drama? There's really none of that.
B
You know, I. And everyone's, like, a little tipsy and they're like, just, like, having fun. And I'm like, I'm happy for you guys, but, like, what do I have to do with this?
A
Yeah. It's just not. I don't. It's not giving.
B
No. I mean, the thing is, Kylie doesn't
A
have to do stuff like that. Like, I know that. Not. It's not for everyone doing the Tick Tock influencer brand trip. So, like, don't. Don't do it. But now, like, doing your own version of it just sort of highlights how, like, you refuse to sort of play the game. And it's like, do literally any. Anything else.
B
Yeah. Like, where's Timothy? You could have been there with Timothy.
A
Yeah.
B
That would be like, they should host.
A
Like, they should actually host, like, an NBA watch party. Like, something that feels personal to Kylie. Like, this just feels so, like, okay. She likes Turks and Caicos and her friends. Yeah. And her mom.
B
And it's just like, it's been done and it's not, like, doing much for me, but, like, I. I love to see my girl happy. She.
A
Nyx palette, like, something blues and oranges.
B
Yay. He'd love it. Yes. No, I.
A
It's just like, even though that is so 26, 2016, but the brand is, like, really stuck in that, like, Colourpop 2016 era.
B
I guess I. I can't see the brand with, like, clear vision because I love it. I still buy it.
A
I buy it too. The skin tint is the best thing ever.
B
That's what they were saying when everyone was saying, like, what's your favorite Product on the video, like, Iris and Kylie were like, the skin tint.
A
I wear the skin tint in the summer. I just will say, if anyone in product development is listening, it's, like, so not transfer proof. It ends up on all my clothes. Like, when.
B
If I went.
A
If I were to go like this, like, if would just be. It's like, a little oily. And I said, but it's such a good, like, summery, full coverage, light skin tint.
B
Oh, and maybe I should try it, because I was telling you this, Claudia, but when I went to the. I was at the dermatologist the other day, and she was looking at my skin. She's like, you're, like, a little bit red. I'm like, yeah, no, that's like, me. If you guys ever, like, watch vlogs or anything. If I'm ever, like, not wearing makeup, like, my skin is very red. I've always said I've had, like, light rosacea. And she was like, do you want anything for this?
A
That?
B
And I'm like, is that an option to, like, not be red all the time? And she was like, yeah. Like, I have a topical cream. It's like prescription trade. It's prescription trade, but it's not, like, too strong. It's, like, made of some compound or whatever. And so she gave it to me, and, like, I'm gonna start using it. It's the kind of strong. So I use it, like, every other day right now. But, like, it was just shocking to
A
Jackie, like, that there was a solution for this. Like, she just thought it was, like, no.
B
No. Something that you just, like, live with and it doesn't bother me. And, like, I. Once I put my makeup on, like, you would really never know. But I do wind up wearing, like, heavier foundations. A skin tint. I wouldn't be a candidate.
A
No, you are. You are. It's very full coverage coverage. You should check it out.
B
But now that, like, I have my new cream, I think the world is your oyster. That scene in House Bunny, when she talks about her magic cream.
A
Yeah.
B
And the zithromycin and, like, how it just made her so itchy, but her skin was glowing.
A
Yeah.
B
I also felt like Michaela, like, cream
A
and this cream abused me, like. Or whatever.
B
She said if I kept going back to the cream that was hurting me.
A
The cream that was hurting me. That's what she said.
B
So I'll keep you guys posted on my cream journey. I just thought that.
A
Check out the skin, T. It's really good.
B
I will, but only once the Cream.
A
Yeah. Sets in. Yeah.
B
Next fifth and final story. Pink is hosting the 2026 Tony Awards, and she's promising acrobatic moments.
A
Interesting. I just saw her on Today, CBS Morning. Oh, yeah. It was Gayle King. She was saying that she's, like, taking a little bit of a step back from work to prioritize her daughter, who is obsessed with being on Broadway. Yes. And so I guess this is Pink, like, sort of using her Nepo to, like, getting in with the Broadway world.
B
Well, she said it was almost an immediate yes when she was. But she had to get permission from Willow because it's her lane, and I try and stay out of her lane.
A
That's cute.
B
But, like, the girl was like, can I come?
A
Oh, that's sweet.
B
And so xping was like, yeah, I think I get seats.
A
So what she was saying on Gayle King was that because Gail was like, well, is your daughter any good? Gail was kind of being nuts. I respected the question, though, because Pink was like, there's nothing I won't do for my daughter. And Gail was like, well, of course. But, like, is she good? Would. And Pink was like, yes. And if she wasn't like, I probably wouldn't have encouraged her to do it. And Gail was like, well, how would you tell your daughter that she stinks? Like, Gail was being really nutty.
B
I mean, they're shifting things up at cbs, like, news. She's trying to keep it on top of things.
A
So she. Pink, was, like, emulating how she would have had that conversation. Like, it was seriously. Like, it was funny. And I guess it's a good question. I'm sure everybody just asks Pink the same questions. But I just wanted to note, like, Gail, I see you. You're insane. I also saw Galen call her daddy. Like, also, like, telling crazy stories. I feel like Gail is so sort of. She's just sort of a wallflower. She's, like Oprah's friend. But there's.
B
That's what you think. Yeah.
A
There's so much there there.
B
Yeah.
A
She was cracking me up.
B
She's sort of like an open book. Yeah, but you can't put her in a box.
A
Correct. Like most great women.
B
Like most great women. It's true.
A
Yeah.
B
And Pink as well. She said there'll be acrobatics at the Tony Awards. Maybe I'll be watching.
A
I just so don't see, like, the Tony's as a Pink space, but, like, she's so Tony, you know, she's so
B
Broadway, like, theatrical, and I feel like she's really? Like liked.
A
She's probably one of the most well liked celebrities. She's so unoffensive. She doesn't have beef with one person. Although I think she has beef with Taylor.
B
But she's. But it's funny because when the girls were girling back in the day, like she was the bad seed.
A
Yeah.
B
And it's like you would think like Jessica Simpson has no haters. And now all those girls, like seem whack a doodle. And Pink is the sober.
A
What's crazy was that Pink was like the alt one with short hair and like kind of Gotham. Meanwhile, she's married 100 years.
B
She's like rebel.
A
Yeah, right. No, like goth. And she's like loki a trad wife. Like she's.
B
No, she winds up being like the
A
most brand safe, stable, like home life. Yeah. No divorces.
B
Don't call her a trad wife. She won't like that.
A
No, I was kidding. But you know what I mean. She's very traditional, like her. Her home life.
B
But she's still like that radical little rebel.
A
Yeah.
B
But she just does it in a way where it's like, that's our radical little rebel. And we love her.
A
I love her.
B
Everybody loves her.
A
It's true. True.
B
So that's cool space that she's carved out. For Pink self.
