A
Good morning, girlies. It's the Toast.
B
It's Jackson Claude and we're your host.
A
It's your favorite show.
B
The best five things you need to know.
A
We'll start your day off Swirly. It's the Toast.
B
They sound amazing.
A
Welcome back to the Toast and happy Friday today celebracion because it's Friday, which is amazing. We're back. Jackson Claude. We've got that smelly BSC out of here. Like fab. Works for me.
B
Hey, CO Jerner, what's your truth? How are you doing?
A
My truth is that I'm so glad you're back. Although, like it really was kind of kids me that you couldn't make yesterday's episode.
B
It was kind of perfect. We needed to hear from Ben.
A
Yeah, like it just. I like when things work out, you know.
B
Yeah, that really worked out. How are you guys doing like two days post Nick's win where you got to be in the arena for the stark moment and like you can't put a price on that.
A
Yeah. And if you watch the vlog which is now out, it is by being like there's like whispers about Oscar nominations. Like everyone is saying it's one of the best vlogs ever. I agree. I worked on it like kind of relentlessly for days and it's very emotional. It's available now. It's a 45 minute vlog. Like, yeah, everyone's obsessed with that. And I do reveal, I do, you know, a little price transparency, which is a philosophy I am against. I don't like, obviously we know, we know. But I just hate this like thing that you have to share but don't have to share.
B
But it's like if you want to make compelling content, we're all talking about the numbers. Everyone wants to know the price. Like you can share one thing one time and nobody's going to judge you. Especially because the game that you spent it on.
A
Priceless, Priceless. But the it's priceful and it's all in the vlog now on Patreon. Patreon.com toast highly recommend you checking that out.
B
Can't wait to check that out.
A
We really missed you yesterday. And there was like yes, so much pop culture to talk about from the game. But there really was like, I'm such a, like I drink beer. You know, I'm so into sports. My whole for you page is like we're analyzing those last couple of seconds of the game. Like I watched this video. I don't know if you guys know, like when they threw in the Ball. Cat tipped it.
B
Which is. I just saw that cap tipped it.
A
But do you know that Cat also utilized some fans to help him? Like courtside fans?
B
How so? They.
A
Cat asked them to move forward to give the spurs player just like less room. Cuz he had to throw it really far. With that amount of time, the only thing to do is to lob it in. So you have to throw it really far in and tall and the less room you have to like move that way, the better. So Cat was like encouraging the courtside fans to just like come a little closer.
B
Oh, interesting.
A
Yeah.
B
Sneaky.
A
Sneaky does feel illegal.
B
Yeah, I, I didn't want to like
A
blow up his spot.
B
I didn't want to be a narc. But like, yeah, a little cheaty, but it's fine because they're like punching people and like being.
A
Yeah, right. Well, we talked about that yesterday as well. Just like the behavior. Because no one. Like, I feel like I keep equating this to the ERAS Tour and just in terms of like its impact on culture and ticket sales and people were not acting like this at the ERAS Tour. Like, people really need to calm down.
B
I. I think in terms of like the dash for tickets, it's similar to the ERAS tour.
A
I think it's like cultural impact on a gender. No, I think this is similar.
B
I. I don't. I think the comparisons end at tick. It's like, it's.
A
It's, I think also like the way that the city that the event is taking place in, like, becomes, you know, like Taylor Land and all the mayors are getting involved and the local businesses are thriving. Like, it's similar to. That.
B
It's similar to like an NBA Finals, I would say, or a Super Bowl.
A
It is an NBA final.
B
No, I know, but it's like similar to the thing before it, which is
A
similar to an NBA final in the sense that it's also an NBA final
B
or the super bowl where there's two teams competing and the city really prospers from the competition.
A
Yeah, but like every, like all the bagels are blue and orange. Like everyone is like the dot cakes are blue and orange walking around. Everyone is wearing blue and orange. Like, it reminds me of the Aristorian in the. In the sense that like, it became Swiftville. I think that like, they made it honorary.
B
No, this is crazier.
A
It's crazier. It wasn't even happening in San Antonio.
B
This is crazier only because it's happening to the biggest, greatest city in the country. So it's having On a bigger, greater level. But I think this is what people in Philadelphia experience. And no, it's different. Chicago. No, it's bigger and better, but it's similar. I think they do dot. They were doing dot cakes or the. Or the trendy equivalent when the Eagles won.
A
No, I'm telling you, it's, like, different. Okay. But maybe it's because I'm here. Like, I'm really experiencing it firsthand.
B
Yeah.
A
But.
B
Well, I'm so thrilled that are really picking up steam and I'm so excited for me because this means for sure Kylie's going to the next game. Timothy will not be going to a game without her ever again.
A
She's a good luck charm for sure. Even though Kylie doesn't do away games, like, that's why this will be their relationship.
B
And she has a plane. She can do an away game.
A
The Knicks are in a good spot because the next game, like, they don't have to win if they do their NBA champions, which is just very exciting. It's not a home game, even though they kind of do better on the road. So best case, they win, worst case, they lose and then come back and win at home, which is even better.
B
I'm kind of, like, rooting for that. But I know fans will be so devastated if they win. If they lose the next game. Like.
A
Yeah, if they lose the next game. It's just like it's delaying the inevitable, I think.
B
Yeah. But it would be so partially and iconic for them to win at msg.
A
Yeah. I'm actually afraid.
B
Are you rooting against them for the next game?
A
So I have a lot of conflicting feelings. Part of me wants them to win at the next game. Like, get it over with. I actually am afraid of what could happen in the city if they do win here. Like, people are really being nutty. And if they do win, if they. If there is another game, like, I am going and I'm going to, like, I don't know how I'm going to get out of there. Like, I'm scared of having to leave. Like, you know what I mean?
B
Yeah, yeah.
A
I was already a little afraid when we were leaving the first time, but I think the ruckus doesn't start to, like, you know, an hour or two later once all the normal people go home to their families and jobs. And so I'm a little afraid of, like, the damage and, like, the what. What will happen.
B
Yeah, yeah. New York's not really had, like, a big moment like that. Like, we always make fun of other cities for like, going so ham and being like, criminals when it happens to them. But it's like, it hasn't really happened here.
A
So that's what Ben and I were saying. It's like we judge. Like, I'm always talking about those domestic terrorists in Philly.
B
Right.
A
And Ben's like, that's happening here. But those are not Nick's fans. That does not represent our city. That does not represent our team. I'm like, well, that's what the people in Philly say too. Like, maybe they're so.
B
Maybe they are right.
A
Either we're both wrong or we're both right.
B
Yeah.
A
Oh, I want to shout out. You know, I'm obsessed with my hokas. Like, I love wearing my hokas. And I'm at a place now where I have to, like, keep replacing them because they just get so dirty. I love a white sneaker. I love a cracker. I love a white sneaker. And I threw them in the wash. One of my friends from Mahjong told me, just throw them in the wash. Like, with some, like, stain remover spray. Like, spray them. And I don't know why I never thought to put my shoes in the
B
wash. Oh, I put my shoes in
A
the wash. Look how white my shoes are.
B
I'm actually wearing Rothy's that are advertised as shoes that you put in the wash.
A
So I know that there are machine washable shoes.
B
Yeah. And that's Rothy's. But yeah, I put a lot of. I put the kids shoes in the wash. We just, like, wash shoes.
A
Yeah. It was just. It was a little scary because Ben went out.
B
Oh.
A
To dinner with Jesse Solomon last night. So I was home.
B
Let me just tell you. I have to take it back.
A
Just wait. I put my shoes in the wash. I put my shoes in the wash. I'm home alone.
B
Oh, and you thought it was going to blow up your house?
A
No, and I, like, forgot about it. So I'm in.
B
They make much noise.
A
Is there an intruder? Is the building collapsing? It was so scary. It wasn't until I was like, following the sound that I was like, was my big stupid sneakers.
B
That's so you to scare your own self that you did by yourself.
A
Tell me about Jesse Solomon. Ben loved him. Like, he came back and he was just like, what a nice guy. They had an amazing dinner. You know Ben, of course. Like, it was like a date. Ben drove him home. I'm like, why'd you get home so late? He's like, I had to drive downtown, you know, even further to drop him off. I was like, okay, taking out your girlfriend, like, dropping her off at home. Ben said he was just like such a cool, normal guy. And they have some mutual friends. Like, he's a Jewish kid who went to University of Miami. They actually have, like, quite a few mutual friends.
B
Yes.
A
Ben was like, asking him, you know, very inspired by his music career and just like the journey in general. Ben was like, ben, it wasn't like a tea filled sesh, you know?
B
Yeah. I didn't feel like Jesse was wanting a tfill sesh. Like, I feel like he just needs a brother, a friend.
A
Yeah. And like, normally in those situations, I send Ben in with like a list of demands with like, things I want to find out, questions to ask. But this time I was just like, be a shoulder, be a friend, be a support. And they had a great meal. You know, those two kings went to the corner store, trendy, trendy little kings. And I think they had a great time. I hope they'll go out again.
B
And Ms. Margo was spotted with Jesse Solomon at the Knicks watch party.
A
Yeah. Margot went to a watch party. Jesse Solomon was there and she sent us a picture. I was like, oh, so you're dating?
B
And.
A
And the next morning we were like, well, what happened? She was like, we just took a picture and then, like, went on like, with our respective groups. And we were like, okay, I wish I never asked. Yeah, like, in my mind when I saw the picture, it's like they went
B
home together, they live together. Finally connected. Everyone says we should be together. We finally met and now we are. It's probably like how Kelsey Ballerini and. And Craig Conover feel when they see each other and.
A
But no, it's just like, very much a photo op.
B
Well, we do have so much to discuss today because I do want to talk about, like, the things that I saw from, like, my perspective of the game. And then also Love Island. Love Island. I'm. I missed, like, the last 10 minutes,
A
but last night was a filler episode. They literally told us it was a filler episode because of the app crashing. I think tonight was the scheduled recoupling episode, but because they had to delay the voting and everything, it's now tomorrow.
B
I was fine with it. I liked last night's episode.
A
Yeah, it was fine.
B
I got to know, like, people's personalities and, like, just see their conversations and their connections and, like, it was. It was fine. It really didn't bother me.
A
We'll do a TV recap. So I don't want to get too much into it. But it was kind of the first night I was sort of, like, getting annoyed with Anaya. She's, like, too, like, much of a yes woman. Like Melanie, she's like gas. Like, a good friend will tell you you're being crazy. A good friend will say, well, no, she's just. And she was one who was like, I'm gonna go up there. And I was like, okay, go.
B
No, Melanie.
A
Yes person.
B
Melanie's ruining an ISQ score because their friendship makes her look bad. No, but also that. That's the person that you're close to. I'm judging 100%.
A
100%.
B
I did want Melanie to go upstairs.
A
Yeah. I respect Casey, like, trying to keep the order in the house. But, like, this is a show, and, like, when the people. When crazy people do crazy things, like, that's.
B
Let them. Let them theory, you know?
A
Yeah.
B
He needs to read Mel Robbins cracking up.
A
We'll do a full TV recap. We also have Queenie and Weenie. It's Friday. We have stories. My girl's back. I really missed you. Like, I missed so much work. It's so much work doing the stories and the ads. Like, it's just.
B
It's really. It's a two person job. For as much as we complain about, like, space splitting the paycheck.
A
Yep. It's true. I do. And you know what? I do complain about splitting the playcheck. And I want to let you know, like, I do resent you for that. But, like, we both earn our keep. It's too much work.
B
It's true. It's true. Did Ben have fun?
A
I think so.
B
Yeah. I think so. He's so funny and so dramatic. I actually can't handle it.
A
His childhood trauma.
B
Yeah. No, but even I guess that that
A
is a funny conversation that they talk about on the good guys. Like, Josh sort of had this, like, kind of not, like, dark, but, like, definitely challenging childhood and more so than the average. And, like, here's Ben, who's just, like, so normal. His parents are still married. Okay. Like, it's insane. The two could not have had. Genuinely, even though they're both, like, chubby Jews from New York, they could not have had more different upbringings. And so, yeah, the hardest thing in
B
Ben's childhood was the Knicks that they kept losing.
A
Ah.
B
I mean, yeah, it's giving. You were never homeless.
A
It's giving out of touch. You were never homeless.
B
Speaking of Rory and you said earlier that you could go for a cracker. Has anyone been eating more crackers since Rory? I have been. She's made them. Like, she reminded me, like, how delicious a cracker is. Like, how it really. And when she explained, like, it calms her. It like, helps with nausea. Like, it's so true.
A
And stabilizing.
B
They are stabilizing. And I've been craving crackers more since
A
she resurfaced that I have not been eating more crackers. But I'm 100% open to the idea of it. Let's talk about crackers in terms of brands. Like, obviously a Ritz cracker is supreme.
B
It is good, but it's. It's very rich.
A
I agree. It's. And it's really not one. You can just grab a cracker and be stabilized. It's like a whole journey because you have to have a sleeve.
B
I really love a saltine. I love a saltine. It really. They are medicinal.
A
So when I was pregnant. Yes, they are.
B
They have medicinal medicinal properties. Even when you're sick with a cold, like you have some with soup, like, it has a medicinal property.
A
Yeah. It's like taking a zofran, actually a premium saltine. But you know what? I'm really into that. I don't see getting enough love. I do know they're really popular and like, people always buy them for their charcuterie boards, but I don't see them getting enough, like, social media hype and like in, in the culture as a club cracker.
B
Oh, I like a club cracker.
A
It's kind of a blend of that savory Ritz with the classic salty saltine.
B
Yeah. I bought a box of Gourmet assault assorted crackers like two weeks ago at the gourmet shop. And I've just been sort of like going through them and I don't know that I would have bought it if not for Alicia, honestly. And they've really been a value add in my life. And everybody loves a cracker. The cr. The kids love a cracker.
A
I don't love, like gourmet crackers. I happen to think that like the low brow mass American, like supermarket brands do it better.
B
You would have liked what?
A
I'd like a car or like a water cracker. I hate those.
B
I didn't say that. I didn't say you would have liked what I bought. I know you.
A
Gourmet cracker.
B
I don't know, like the. I'll send you a picture.
A
You would have liked it. I like a cracker that's just like a little bit more buttery, that like, borders on like a biscuit, you know,
B
these had notes of butter. They did? Well, it depends which one you picked up. But they did have notes of butter.
A
Yeah, I like butter.
B
You would have liked them. I know you. I know Koji.
A
I'm one episode behind on Rory. They just announced the trailer. The reunion with a trailer. It's two parts. I feel like for a first time franchise, getting like a two part reunion is kind of a slay.
B
Yeah, I need to catch up. I will do that. I also started a book, and it's like, it's such an endeavor to start a book these days that it's like, kind of annoyed at the book that I started. I don't know where I found it. I think I saw it on the New York Times bestseller list. It's called London Falling.
A
It had like a. Yeah, I've heard of it.
B
You have? What did you hear about it?
A
Like, I saw the COVID I don't know. Like, I didn't. Sorry, I didn't hear it. I've seen it is what I meant.
B
But, like, where do you even think that you've seen it? Because now, like, book talk, maybe.
A
Yeah.
B
The subheader I thought was really good. A mysterious death in a gilded city and a family search for truth.
A
Chilling.
B
But it's like, I'm gonna finish it because I'm like, 30, and it's like, pretty dense. It's just. It's not swirly. Oh, ns.
A
I don't read books these days. I don't actually don't engage in any sort of media or hobby or even person that doesn't have, like, insane swirlitude.
B
Yeah, I understand that. And even when I'm, like, venturing out of swirly waters, usually there's a swirl to be found. Like, if I'm reading historical fiction, Swirly Edition. Like, but this is just like, crime and history and it's just, like, dense, and there's not a swirly in sight.
A
I'm painting the town.
B
Swirl.
A
Like, I only exist in my, like, world of swirl.
B
Yeah.
A
No, no. Like, you know how Stassy has a show on Hulu called House of Stasi?
B
Yeah.
A
Ours is House of Swirl, World of Swirled, World of Swirl.
B
I like world meets world.
A
Swirlwind.
B
What about swirl meets world?
A
I like it.
B
That's like Earl meets world.
A
Yeah. Oh, let me tell you about some niche drama that, like, you will love, because we were just talking about how, like, there's really randomly a pop culture podcast, like, from the New York Times that, like, is, like. It's kind of like I feel it encroaching, like, I feel like it's everywhere now.
B
Then we said it's a music podcast, sets once a week.
A
Well, it's not a music podcast because one of the hosts is, like, kind of in drama. I guess he was tapped just because, like, they're like sort of industry plants. They get, like, tapped for stuff. It's like a pop culture podcast hosted by two older gentlemen. Like, okay, there was a panel featuring all the stars of the pit, which was, like, a big deal. The show has, like, a really big fan base. And. And it was like this huge event. And I guess, like, one of the hosts. One of the hosts of podcast was the host of the panel. And, like, I don't know if he was drunk or something, but he was, like, kind of acting insane and inappropriate. Like, Noah Weil actually, like, had to fire back at some of the questions. Like, I saw a bunch of clips. It was deeply uncomfortable. Like, the stars are on the stage, like, actually rolling their eyes.
B
You not send me those clips.
A
I'm at a place in my life where, like, I physically cannot download and send. And. And a lot of the times, a lot of the shit I want to send to you when I go to the effort to download it, like, the person has that setting off. Every video on TikTok is actually not downloadable.
B
That I know. That I know.
A
And it's becoming increasingly more difficult to, like, remain in contact with you when you have this hard line.
B
I'm being honest, it is a hard line. But I'll just say you don't have to DNS me everything. But, like, when our peers are flopping,
A
you better fucking send you that. Okay. That need to see information. And the thing is, I send you so much garbage on Instagram because it's so fudgeing. Easy.
B
So easy. Yeah. No, honestly, it. Considering how much we send each other on Instagram, if I also had TikTok, like, we would never get off our phones of sending each other stuff.
A
It sounds like a dream all day
B
that we have this hard line, but you do need to go the extra mile for when the peers are flopping. That's it. That's all I asked for.
A
Okay.
B
So if you see it again, like, please send it my way. I would love to see something.
A
Say something.
B
I would love to know, like, exactly what happened here.
A
Yeah, okay. I'll. I'll do it my best.
B
Thank you so much.
A
One of the things I want to watch this weekend is the new Jennifer Lopez, Breck Oldstein, like, Netflix romcom that I've actually heard is amazing. I also have heard that they are hooking up like this on screen. Romance is off screen. I ship so wholeheartedly. And I've seen clips, clips from the movie. They're like, doing that. I've seen clips. Netflix is, like, releasing a lot of them on Tik Tok, which is smart. I've basically watched the whole movie vertically, and it looks so good. Like, cute romcom. I'm down.
B
You should watch it.
A
I know.
B
I don't.
A
I still need to see the Devil Wears Prada too.
B
When's the next Nick game?
A
Saturday.
B
And Ben's not going?
A
No.
B
Even if the Knicks secure championship?
A
Yeah. I asked him. Like, I said we could go. It would just be, like, difficult because we would go, like, as a family, but I wouldn't really feel comfortable bringing Ruble to the game. So it's like, then like, me and Ruby are in San Antonio, like, randomly. It doesn't make sense.
B
Could Ben just go by himself?
A
I told him that he could, but I think he, like, feels good about the fact that he went to one away game, one home game, and they won both of them. You know, he go into two insane games.
B
Yeah.
A
The first game was the first game ever. And then the fourth game was the historic game. Like, seriously, quit while you're ahead.
B
Yeah, but if they're back at the
A
Garden, you'll go to that a hundred percent. And I told Ben, if we're back at the Garden, like, cardboard is all out, out of office.
B
Yeah. The budget doubling.
A
Like, I will.
B
We're doubling the budget.
A
Yeah.
B
Oh, my God. Was it, like, was it the best money you ever spent?
A
It really was. And like, I had the best time. And like, seriously watch. It must have been how Ben felt at the ERA store. Like, he had a really good time. But, like, seeing someone you love be so, so happy. Like, actually like a child. Like, imagine what it's like. Like taking your son or your daughter, like their first concert or their first sporting event. Like Euphoria. I had a great time too. Just like, it was an amazing game. But, like, seeing Ben so happy, like, seriously, he felt free. He was screaming, he was singing. Like, he was just insane. It was amazing.
B
That's probably how Kylie felt.
A
Absolutely.
B
And Sydney.
A
Yep.
B
And all the plus and ha. Did you talk about him?
A
We talked about him. We talked about Selena's like, breakdown. I'm sure we'll talk about, like, the follow up today.
B
Selena's following up to herself. Yes.
A
And yeah, we'll talk about it.
B
And so you talked about him.
A
Like, actually, no. Like, we said that they were there and that's really all there is to say.
B
Yeah.
A
And I said that I liked the shirts.
B
I did like the shirts.
A
Except, like, only Taylor's. Like, Stevie Nicks. Like, it was perfect. Nicks. Like, Nick Cole. Kidman.
B
No, it doesn't work, I guess. But then they were, you know, I think it was E posted, like, a bunch of other shirts that they could have done, like Nickelandria, which Nikki Blonsky. Nikki Blonsky. Yeah. I need that chart better than Nicole Kidman. I like Nicole back.
A
Yeah, it's cute. But I just. I thought Taylor's was perfect. Like, first of all, she's like, Stevie Nicks is her queen. That's her best friend. It's Stevie Nicks. Like, it's just. It says, like, it's perfect.
B
Okay. Because it says Nyx.
A
Not to be critical.
B
So what else is Nyx? Nickelodeon. That would have been a good one, though. But if we're not doing, like, Nickelodeon, that would be cute. Josh Peck could wear that one.
A
A thousand percent. Let's dive in. We actually have a lot to do today.
B
Yeah, we have a lot to do. Okay, without further ado to do to do, here are the fast five stories that you do need to know.

B
you T u r T You're welcome. Our first story, Taylor Swift tears up while thanking her family during Songwriters hall of Fame acceptance speech. So last night was the Songwriters hall of fame 2026 induction ceremony took place at the Marriott Marquis hotel in New York City. And Taylor Swift was, of course, honored and she gave a 21 minute acceptance speech.
A
Additionally, she left the house three times this week. I just think that's crazy.
B
It was a busy week. You know, it always. When it rains, it pours. It always busy before your wedding. And good thing you're looking so fabulous that you want to go to everything.
A
And she also is probably, like, stacking stuff. She's probably going to be MIA for a little bit, like, that sort of honeymoon phase. So she's probably getting all of her work obligations out of the way.
B
Yeah. But this just happened, like, she doesn't control the ceremony. It happened to be in New York after the.
A
Nick probably could control the ceremony, honestly.
B
She probably could. Somber pay tribute to her with a performance of her songs Cardigan and Dear John. The two were also taking pictures together on the red carpet.
A
I wasn't really familiar with Somber's game vocally. Like, obviously I know his songs, and they're really growing on me. I kind of really. Taylor's made me really like him. I. I think I've definitely, like, discarded him. In my mind, it's just like gen Z. Slo.
B
Have you listened to 12 to 12 yet?
A
Is that I don't want to talk down on your lover. I don't want to be a home wrecker. And did you see Kelly Clarkson covered it? No.
B
And that's not 12 to 12.
A
Sing it to me. You're gonna have to give me a little bit more than that. But it doesn't sound familiar. Would you look for me too?
B
Yeah. No.
A
I'm telling you, he's got Riz. He's really good. And I did not know what he was working with vocally until last night when he sang Dear John, which is actually a very hard song to sing. I was very moved. It was a beautiful rendition. I fucking love that song. And Taylor's so funny because I feel like people put so much emphasis and for good reason on, like, who she chooses. Right. Like, Sabrina sort of been like, her unofficial protege successor. Yeah. For a while, people thought, like, Olivia Rodrigo. There's like, a lot of emphasis on who she surrounds herself with and who she sort of approves. And I like that she just chose this, like, sort of, like, random guy because it's like, it means nothing. Like, I think she just likes him. They're friends.
B
Yeah, she always got the next Taylor Swift. No, but she always is, like lifting up other artists and some of them wind up being really like her junior. But even when they're not her junior, like, there's always. She's always supporting everyone around her who's like doing good music.
A
Yes, yes, yes. But choosing somber, like, doesn't send a message. Do you know what I mean? As like his next turned. Like, it's a big deal when she sort of crowns like a young pop swirly with songwriting abilities because it very much feels like a passing the torch in a sense. But this was like a very non threatening choice. And he did so good.
B
Yeah, he really did. So she talked about her family and how she's so grateful for them moving to Nashville so she could fulfill her dream. She said it was easy to choose songwriting over everything else in my life, but it couldn't have been easy for my parents, my brother to just pick up and move our entire family from Pennsylvania to relocate to Nashville so that I could hone my craft in the songwriting capital of the world. She said, even though words are supposed to kind of be my thing, I'll never be able to express my gratitude to you guys for doing that for me. You're the reason I'm here tonight.
A
It's a kind of crazy that she gave a 20 minute speech. I've seen like a bunch of clips. Like, I have not watched the whole thing in full and I will, but I feel like a speech like, about her career, like, this is such a intimate. Yeah, yeah. And Travis was there. They did not walk the carpet together, which, like, is annoying.
B
But he like flew in from minicamp to be there, so maybe like he got there late.
A
Her parents were also there and they were like hugging divorced king and queen hugging. Like, while Taylor was talking about them, she also quoted, she quoted John Dutton. Like, she obviously watches Yellowstone, which I think I, I would have guessed that. Yeah, yeah, she watches Yellowstone. Travis definitely loves it. She said two things that I loved. The first was that like, and I felt like she was saying that like, songwriting is easy for her and it's not that like she doesn't work hard at it, but it's like a very easy thing for her to work hard at because when you love something so much, like, it's not a big deal.
B
She's jobbing her love.
A
Exactly. And lobbing her job. Yeah. And then the John Dutton quote was like, when you really have something, like when you create something so Valuable. Like it's sort of a. What the was the quote? Like people are gonna come and steal it. Like that's all that. Like, it's just how human nature works. Like anything worth having is like, worth stealing.
B
Yeah. And what is she saying?
A
She was like, I took it as like reference to like her not owning her masters until recently, but she had said, like, your self worth, your integrity, your art. I took it as, you know, this very like Scott Brushetta.
B
Yeah. He said, it's the one constant in life, son. You build something worth having, somebody's gonna try to take it.
A
Yeah, yeah.
B
She said John was talking about a ranch. But I'm using this quote to refer to your self worth, your peace of mind, and your singular vision as a creator.
A
Yeah, the speech was really good. It was really well written. Like, she talked about how, like, she literally had to learn how to do everything in this industry. Like, nobody teaches you how to do, you know, how to protect yourself, how to operate within this like, crazy how to be famous. But she never had to learn how to song. Right. Like, she. Nobody taught her. She just like, it's so instinctual to her. And she like really, really loves and respects her parents for like, not just sort of chalking it up to like a teenager phase, but like seeing in her what she. You know, sometimes like you see something when you're a teenager and it's like, yeah, sure. But her parents like really listened to her and like really believed her and like literally rooted up their whole lives. Like, her dad had a job, like, and just moved. It actually is so crazy.
B
It is so crazy to like, you
A
have to wacky 12 year, but you
B
have to just have like complete faith in your child that they are exceptional.
A
Well, they also have to be good. Yeah. I think a lot of times, like, people can't be objective about their kids. It's like, well, it's great that your kid is passionate, but they are not good.
B
Yeah, but I think when the time comes to quit your job and move the family, you get objective. You're like, let's hear that song. Let's hear that song you wrote.
A
No, but I think there are like a lot of crazy stage moms who do quit their jobs and like move to LA when their kid sucks.
B
Yeah, but I feel like it's less of a belief in the child and like more in. It's a like delusion. It's a delusion about them and like projecting.
A
She looked great.
B
Maybe she's in like speech writing mode. She's been writing a Lot of speech.
A
Vows.
B
Speeches.
A
This is the third outfit this week that I loved. And one thing about Taylor is she has a very. It's one of, you know, her greatest attributes, her loyalty. But unfortunately, she's loyal to the stylist who stinks. I don't even know his name. He just stinks. I think his name is Joseph. She's so hit or miss. Like, really genuinely 50. 50. So for her to leave the house three times this week. And I loved what she wore to that Toy Story event. The yellow was so perfection. Like, actually looked like she finally got a new stylist. The Nicks came out. It was perfect. So cute. I love the fishtail braid. Girly and fun and sporty and playful.
B
I feel like that's beautiful. I feel like the Knicks outfit she did herself. I feel like when she goes out with her friend, she doesn't use a stylist.
A
No, I think she definitely does.
B
You think she's the famous person in the next game?
A
Yeah, I think that, like, they knew they're wear these T shirts, so they said, like, make me an outfit with the T shirt.
B
Oh, I really don't think so. I don't know. I feel like there are certain. Maybe it's because she was friends with Blake Lively, and that's, like, Blake Lively's thing. It's like not having a stylist. I feel like she, like, wants to get dressed herself. Big occasion for sure, but, like, to go to a baseball game or basketball game.
A
But the thing is, nowhere she goes is, like, just a basketball game.
B
For her, it still is. And it's like, okay, we'll have these big moments, but also, like, I can clothe myself, but I don't know.
A
I don't think so.
B
I just feel like she's not someone who, like, can't put a pair of pants on. Some people actually can't put a pair of pants on.
A
Agreed.
B
They need their pajamas styled for them.
A
Oh, and if I was famous, like, I'm that person.
B
Really?
A
Not only do I really not have.
B
You are famous.
A
I don't.
B
You don't even use a style at that level.
A
If I was at that level, I don't go anywhere.
B
But like. Like, when you have a big. I don't really at your level. By the way, most people at your level have a stylist.
A
I will. Most people at my level go places like, I don't need a stylist for my podcast. My leggings will suffice.
B
Most people at our level would have a stylist.
A
I know.
B
And that's why their practice wouldn't be successful as ours. Right?
A
We're so real.
B
We're just real regular girls.
A
Regular, regular.
B
Also, I like what I'm seeing.
A
Direction.
B
I'm seeing a trend in the three looks she wore this week of. No, not the next game. The songwriters. Oh, yeah. The Jessie, the Jesse red carpet.
A
Oh, that dress was fab.
B
Yeah. And it's like, oh, sorry.
A
So she slayed four dresses, four looks.
B
She's loving a strapless. I. I think it's signaling her wedding look.
A
Well, the second yellow dress, which I think was the best fitting. Like, that should be her wedding silhouette.
B
It was divine giving, like, what she changes into for the reception. Love that comfier. Sexier.
A
I think a lot of people are also, like, looking deep into the designers. She wore Givenchy last night. She wore us. Her. The yellow dress was Oscar de la Renta. I don't know who made the mini denim ish dress. I don't think it means anything. Like, she'll wear what she wants. And just because she's gonna wear, like, you know, Dior for the wedding or whatever doesn't mean she's gonna be wearing, like, Dior all week long. She's not one of those, like. But she does have long standing relationships with, like, Stella McCartney. I could see, like, her. Her doing a Stella McCartney wedding dress. I don't know if she does bridal, but, like, I think.
B
I think I. I don't know. She doesn't have, like, a brand that's like, she's obviously wearing that. She works with everyone.
A
She works with everyone. Oh, she did work very closely with Versace on ERIS tour outfits. Ooh, was it. No, it was Versace. There were a couple of designers, I think, also Oscar de la Renta who did a bunch of Eras tour, like, a very. A lot of high profile, like, couture designers worked with her for the right.
B
So she has her pick. She's not like, like, stuck with anyone. May the best. She's not sure if anyone win.
A
But I love. I really have loved to see her, like, putting out looks. Like, I really don't have a ton of notes on. You know, it's nice. It's very. It's. It's a relief.
B
Our next story. Selena Gomez is addressing the rumors after Nick's game backlash that she started herself.
A
So literally, like, there's nothing like cleaning up your own mess.
B
Is addressing the rumors that she put out. So she posted, you know, about, like, clowning on, like, bandwagon Knicks Fans.
A
Yeah.
B
And then people automatically assume that she's talking about Taylor, which I don't know why people automatically assume that, because there's a ton of bandwagon expansion. Taylor's actually been to Nick's games before. I think more she talked about Haim,
A
so I don't think that she was talking about Taylor as a bandwagon fan, but I think she was more so saying, like, there's all this hoopla for the Knicks now. Celebrity Taylor. Everyone's going. And it's like, well, where was this energy before this week?
B
I think that there has always been a lot of, like, good celebrity energy around the Knicks.
A
I. Yeah, I don't know why there's a lot of discourse now that's like, everyone's being a fake Nick fan. I feel like that's so not true. The thing is, and nobody really wants to acknowledge this, but, like, a lot of. I would argue most famous people are from New York. Like, it is this beacon of, like, art, culture, literacy. And, yeah, they maybe live in LA now, but, like, a lot of people's roots are here. And New York is also, like, a very transient city. Like, people live here for, like, a decade, and they are New Yorkers, and maybe they're from Louisiana, but, like, people just, like, have ties here. So I don't think it's, like, that weird that every. Yeah. If everyone randomly became, like, Oklahoma City City fans, I would say, okay, maybe that's weird. I can't imagine so many people across the country having ties to Oklahoma City.
B
Yeah, I don't think that the celebrities are being, like, phony in their fandom. That's like, not what I'm feeling. I feel like other people who I see, like, on my feed are being, like, a little, like, phony, you know, band, but, like, okay, be a bandwagon
A
family name, you know?
B
You know who.
A
I don't. You know who name them.
B
I would absolutely never say that. But it's like, being a bandwagon fan is not a crime.
A
I don't think there's anything wrong with it. Like, even if I'm a celebrity with no ties to the next, but, like, there's a box and they're like, do you want to come? Like, how much fun to go to the NBA championship? So, yeah, you'll wear a hat or a shirt of the low, like, of the team of whose arena you're at. Like, I don't think there's anything weird about it. That's what we were talking about this yesterday on the. On the toast like, people gatekeeping Nick's fandom. It's like, okay, yeah. And get a life.
B
We know who the OGs are. Like, who the people who have been waiting for this moment for decades. Like, we know who those are. And everyone else, like, can be a fan. Like, it's fine. Especially.
A
Yeah.
B
If they've ever lived in New York. If they're from New York, if they work in New York. Like, it's really.
A
Some people also just, like, idolize New York. It's like this dreamy, sort of, like, fantastical city. Yeah. That. Yeah. We're easy to root for. Sorry. And we get. We don't have a lot of moments like this. So it makes it even more exciting. Like, it's no wonder. No offense. Like, no one's rooting for the spurs unless you're from San Antonio. Because this is just sort of. It feels like, I'm sorry to the spurs, it's not your time. And it just feels like this romantic story. Like, and it has to have this storybook ending. It does.
B
Yes, it does. And so Selena is a Spurs fan.
A
Yeah.
B
She's from San Antonio, so she's a documented spurs fan. So then she posted on her Instagram story saying, woke up and was sent so many texts. I would never insult my friends. Nor was it an insult. The comment was a reaction to the first slide on the page. Second, I bet my friends on the game. The friends in the text chain I posted I lost, but was poking at my opponents. My friends, believe it or not, I do have other friends in my life, but quickly forget that. Most assume otherwise. Also, it's a basketball game.
A
So Selena has always been this sort of, like, Thorn and Taylor side. Like, I think that it's like, sort of like an inconvenience at this point.
B
I don't think Taylor so crazy.
A
Yeah.
B
I bet to some of her, like, friends, Selena. And she has a couple of other woady friends.
A
Yeah.
B
And she's just blind to it.
A
Well, which is kind of a good quality. Like, she loves her friends, like, just very wholeheartedly and blindly. And that's what you want in a friend. But, like, public perception and just like, as a third party, it's like Selena just looks crazy all the time. Like, every time we talk about her on the toast, it's like, what crazy thing did Selena Gomez and you know what? She had take a major break from this nutty social media behavior. Also, Haley Bieber was at the game. So, like, I know it's not right that, like, they constantly get pitted against one Another. But, like, they both. I feel like every time Haley posts something, she, like, makes sure it's not going to be misinterpreted. They have to constantly be thinking about one another. And I think that Selena likes that. Like, she has plausible deniability. But, like, a lot of times she probably is talking about Haley. She's like, what are you talking about? I'm from San Antonio. Like, she likes that she has that.
B
So she's from Ben.
A
We had gotten a big break. I feel like we haven't talked about. Because she's always queen of, like, I'm taking a break from social media and then coming back and, like, starting stuff. It's been a while. I thought, like, now that she got married, like, she had grown up.
B
I know. I keep remembering that she's married to, like, a sound of mind, individual. So I'm like, okay, he's not like
A
that sound of mine.
B
No, he is. Do you hear him on Jay Shetty? Do you hear him on Jay Shetty? Yeah, he definitely has, like, the man has a brain.
A
One thing. But his Jay Shetty interview was really.
B
He has an image and, like, Lil Dicky and all that stuff that I'm, like, not participating in. But, like, I've heard him talk a
A
lot, like, farting on his podcast.
B
I've heard him talk long form. The man has a brain.
A
It's true. So I thought that we were behind this, like, very sophomoric behavior. We're not. Is there any way her and Taylor aren't friends?
B
Like, no, but is everybody? Did you just, like, come up with the theory that it's about Haley? Because, by the way, it's about Haley.
A
People had thought that, too. Yeah.
B
By the way, it's about Haley.
A
Because, by the way, Haley is from Nyack, New York. Yeah. Do you know that she's from Nyack?
B
I didn't know she's from Long island. Or.
A
I think Nayak is technically upstate.
B
Yes. Or like, the Bronx.
A
No, no, no. Nyack is upstate. What is it? Is your Westchester. Oh, yeah. You weren't wrong. Bronx. Yeah. So all the Baldwins, you know, Massapequa. That's where Alec is from. Sounds like a magical place.
B
No, she's talking about Haley.
A
And, like, if we're gonna be pointing fingers, like, okay, let's talk about, you know who it's about. It's about Tate McCray. Like, you're Canadian.
B
Like, it could be about Kite, but, like, when I see, like, non New Yorkers at the game and, like, and I am a New Yorker by The way I could give two shits. Like who? Like.
A
No, seriously, people where everyone's from. The only people I think who actually care are San Antonio fans. Because, like, it is annoying that everyone's joining the other side.
B
Yeah. I also saw people were like saying Taylor was just reading against the Knicks at that other game.
A
However, Ben and I dived into it. However, she was not rooting. She wasn't wearing one stitch of red. She wore actually blue denim, which if we wanted to look and you weren't
B
allowed to wear Nicks swag courtside, you were not allowed.
A
Travis was wearing red. A red calves hat. But Taylor has a long standing track record of relationships. Yeah. And the thing is she is from Pennsylvania, Pensacola. She is, I believe, an Eagles fan because her dad is like a big Eagles fan. But she sort of lived all over and she has lived a lot in New York. She's also lived a lot in la. So like, I. I'll allow it.
B
No, I'm not questioning her Nick's fandom at all. It was just funny that, that people were saying that. But still, I actually don't think Selena was talking about Taylor. Honestly. I think like Selena's talked about celebrities at the game and then the biggest celebrity at the game was Taylor. So like people just make everything about Taylor.
A
But I guess like Selena and Taylor like should have gone together because Selena's like a lifelong spurs fan and this is a really big deal. So Taylor's going to the game. Like, why didn't they go together? I know Selena was in London.
B
Only spurs fan. Courtside.
A
I saw. Well, the thing is, if you're wearing plain clothes, it's really kind of impossible to tell. I think I had seen. I was actually looking. I saw one woman wearing a webina jersey in the second row. In the second row. I don't know, Selena is just a funny one. But this is what I said to Ben the other day. So I apologize. I'm repeating a lot today. We have this wedding coming up that's going to be like a true litmus test of where Taylor's at with everyone. Like, we will know. And it's a big wedding, it's a thousand people according to, you know, sources. So we will know who she's good with for sure.
B
But let me tell you, Taylor loves Selena.
A
I know Taylor kind of like her Achilles heel. You, my state of grace is about Selena Gomez. You, my Achilles, Heather.
B
And she gives her a lot of grace.
A
Yeah. Literally.
B
Are you ready for our next story? We're moving so slowly today.
A
We are moving so slow. We have so much to do.
B
Okay. Real Houses of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice's 20 year old daughter Melania has been arrested for assault. Melania, 20 year old daughter of Teresa Giudice was arrested for domestic violence. Page Six can confirm the 20 year old college student was charged with one count of simple assault on May 14th. Montville Township Chief of Police Andrew Cagiano said in a press release obtained by Page Six. Court records show that officers detain Melania after the incident occurred at 6:12pm local time. She was a schedule to appear in court on May 19, but no plea was entered.
A
May 19.
B
This happened on May 14.
A
What, and we're just finding out about it?
B
Yep.
A
Okay. So I was playing mahjong when this happened. After it was over, I was like, not on my phone. My friend Margo texted me and she was like, melania was arrested while we were mahjong. And. And I was like, trump. Like, I'm sorry, Melania. If you're gonna say if you're one.
B
One name wonder named Melania, it's not judice.
A
I was like, wait, that's insane. And she was like, no, judice. I was like, oh, if you know Melania, it's like she does give that
B
energy whenever she reached the age to be, like,
A
she was going to get arrested. Like, of all the sisters, like, it was never going to be Gabriella. It was never gonna be Gia. It was obviously Mel. Like, so, yeah, this tracks. Who'd she beat up? Like, I would love to know the backstory. And like, if we ever get Real Housewives of New Jersey back on our screens, like, maybe we'll find out.
B
Yeah, Melania should go on her sister Gia's podcast and like, talk about.
A
Oh, yeah, yeah. Oh, you know what I watched this morning? I watched like 20 minutes of a Chrisley podcast. Let me tell you, those Chrisleys are funny. And they have like this great sort of witty banter because they're always talking about, like, their arrest and their judge. I guess, like, their case was kind of like fraught with a little bit of fraud. And they had this really bad judge who just was exposed for having in like, an affair in her chambers with the head of the Atlanta Police Department. So they covered that story on the Chrisley podcast. Now Julie's like, clenching her butt cheeks because Todd is over here calling the judge a hoe and running a brothel in her chambers. It was hysterical. They're seriously so funny. And she's like, like, she is sort of like the. The Straight one on the podcast, and she just, like, lets him run wild. It's genuinely funny. I was up. I kind of love Todd.
B
Todd Chrisley.
A
I mean, who is Todd? Like, hilarious.
B
The Chrisley are a bit of a blind spot for me. I never, like, watched their show.
A
Well, I did actually, like, right. Way before they became much more famous, like, as they got arrested and then pardoned by Trump, like, but their show, like, which I think hadn't even been on for quite some time by the time he got arrested, was not very popular. It was on usa. Like, it was so random. No, it was on usa. Let me tell you. I watched that shit so fudgeing much. It was good. Todd was crazy. It was always curious how they made their money. And I'm not entirely sure when it came to, like, the crimes that they were accused of, whether or not they did it. I think they did do, like, some stuff wrong, but not to the degree of being in prison for 14 years.
B
Yeah. Yeah.
A
But they've always had this very strange, funny family dynamic, and now they all podcast. Savannah has her own podcast. The parents have a podcast. I saw the other two siblings have one. I don't think they talked to the brother, but I think they, like, raised the brother's child. I don't know. There was, like, a lot of drama. They're very interesting.
B
Yeah, they are. And, like, people really, you know, the cream rises, and, like, they have listeners, and everyone, like, is very.
A
Let me tell you why. It's Todd. He is a star. Todd on Dancing with the Stars. When, like, Todd, I'm telling you, is grossly slept on. I know he's, like, a convict, so I don't know where they. Like, I did Anna Delvey, so.
B
Yeah. And he's pardoned.
A
Yeah. But I. I. Once you get pardoned, like, do you get everything back? Like, can you vote? Are you still a felon?
B
Like, I don't know if you can vote.
A
Like, do you have a record? I don't think you get, like, you're not exonerated. You just get pardoned.
B
Yeah. You just get your, like, sentence commuted. I don't know. It's probably something we could just.
A
Look, that's, like, my goal in life to, like, evade taxes for 20 years, get caught, go to jail for 30 minutes, and get. Get pardoned.
B
Okay, well, don't say that.
A
Oh, yeah. I can't let my enemies know what I'm up to. Yeah.
B
Are you ready for our next.
A
Never let them know your next step.
B
Are you ready for our next story? Yeah. Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Miranda Hope.
A
What is it?
B
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, but they're not filming. Miranda announces her debut single. Says she's telling her story in a completely different way.
A
What?
B
Miranda has revealed her latest career pivot, a country music career. In an Instagram post, she announced that her debut single, which is called Fu for that number four. F letter. F letter U Number four.
A
That is her stage name. Miranda Hope. That's a good name, by the way.
B
Yeah. It will drop on June 26th.
A
Oh, so I can't. I was just gonna go pull up,
B
but is there, like, a little teaser on her Instagram?
A
Oh, yes.
B
Play it. I love it.
A
I can't lie. It sounds better than I thought it would.
B
She said sharing this part of myself with the world is both exciting and intimidating. Music has always been such a huge part of my life, and this project gave me an opportunity to tell my story in a completely different way. I'm so proud of what we've created. Can't wait for people to hear it. And this is just the beginning.
A
That's unexpected. I thought if we were gonna get music from anyone in the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, it would have been. And I see your true colors, Demi and Brett. And this definitely feels out of left field. Like, I think we all sing, but I didn't know that Miranda did.
B
Yeah. And also, I mean, this is. This is big because I feel like some of the girls have really, like, have other things going on for them. And then there are girls that are still, like, kind of stuck in Utah. And, like, they get amazing, like, brand deals and whatnot. But, like, career wise, there's not, like, a big plan. And no, none of them have done this yet. One of them can.
A
Carving out a niche of music could be good. Yeah. I feel like Jesse has graduated a little bit.
B
And Jesse has her business. Like, she's booked and busy, and she.
A
Taylor, obviously graduated.
B
Whitney, obviously.
A
Oh, of course. Yeah. Jen has not graduated, but she is going to the OC franchise, which is new and different.
B
Yeah. And she did Dancing with Kayla Macy.
A
Layla, Miranda, like, are sort of the just. And you know what? I actually appreciate that. And maybe some of them want to be that they're sort of stable figures. Like, they just stay in Utah and our mom talk.
B
Yes. And I think that they make a really good living. And if I imagine have, like, happy work life balance. And I would hope that the ones who are doing that are happy with just doing that, because I think you could live a happy life. But if they are, like, Wanting more, then they probably feel, like, left behind.
A
I think that, like, Layla feels left behind. Yeah.
B
Because she's pursuing modeling. I think Macy is content.
A
Me too. I think she has, like, Shalom Bay. Like, the show hasn't ruined her life yet. And she sees that, like, maybe some of the other girls who, like, want more and desire more and, like, leave Utah a lot, it does sort of have a negative impact. And so I think she takes, you know, being not the most famous one in the group, but being, like, very middle. I would say middle top.
B
And like, she wrote her book and so she's shared, like, she has her passion projects, but it doesn't. She doesn't collab too far from home and far from family. And I think.
A
I hope she's content.
B
I think Michaela, too.
A
Yeah. And I think Michaela also has, like, a lot of other things going on in her life, like, with her health that, like, it's not a priority to Can I be the most famous mom talk.
B
Like, yeah.
A
I think she just prioritizes, like, feeling,
B
well, here's the thing. You don't want to be the most famous mom talk. That's the thing.
A
It's true. There's only one way to go when you're the most famous mom.
B
Like, look at Taylor, Frankie, Paul. The most famous.
A
Correct.
B
Well, good luck to Miranda. I'm excited to hear the song.

B
Our fifth and final story, Love Stories. Paul Anthony Kelly, who played JFK Jr.
A
In I'm okay in.
B
In Love Story, is joining the Housemaid sequel with Sydney Sweeney and Kirsten Dunst. So JFK Jr. From Love Story, will be in the sequel of the housemaid called the Housemaid Secret with Sydney Sweeney, who's reprising her role, and Kirsten Duns. It is based on the sequel to the Freedom McFadden novel.
A
Okay. And who's Paul Anthony Kelly playing?
B
I think he's playing, I would imagine, like, the husband. Yeah.
A
Of the rich lady who's, like, sick.
B
Yeah. And the book is like, the housemaid gets this. Sydney gets a job, like, working in a apartment for this man, the Dakota, but she's never allowed to see the wife.
A
Right. And he, like, she's just supposed to be believing what the husband says. And did we, like, fake cast this or was it actually confirmed that that guy, the Italian stud from365days, is playing Enzo?
B
Michelle Morrone. Yeah. He's in this.
A
And is he in the original?
B
He must have been, because his. That guy is in the original characters in both. Yeah, yeah.
A
And then I need to see the Housemaid. I have, like, a list of movies I haven't seen. The Housemaid and Devil Wears Prada.
B
I had another one I still have to watch full swing.
A
And did you ever see Marty Supreme?
B
No. And I don't. I'm not going to.
A
I didn't like it.
B
It's, like, was barely on my list and it's not on my list anymore. Like, sorry, Kylie, I love you, but I'll catch you on the next. The next one.
A
Yeah. No, you missed it, too. Like, the hype for the Oscars, like, it's over.
B
It's over. Oh, and he can wear all that orange stuff to the Knicks.
A
Yes. They wore matching chrome hearts. It was cute.
B
She looked amazing.
A
She's insane looking. Oh, wait. Can we talk about Taylor and Kylie hugging?
B
We can. It was the hug that you give your sister's enemy for sure.
A
Oh, 1,000%. And Kylie's eyes. Because, like, Taylor saw Kylie. So Taylor was sort of prepped going in. Kylie Just turns around and your sister's enemies behind you, who's also the most famous person in the world. So Kylie's eyes are kind of wide. She's like, that was so crazy.
B
Yeah, that was so crazy. Yeah.
A
I need more angles of this.
B
I want Taylor's eight. Like, there's a person behind Kylie. There's a person behind Kylie filming it. Like, where is that video? I need to see Taylor's face if she looked genuine or not. Because, like, Kylie actually shouldn't have an issue with Taylor. It's her sister's enemy. But, like, your sister's over it and nothing happened bad for your sister and
A
you were, like, 16 at the time.
B
Yeah, but, like, Taylor hates Kim more and, like, that was associated with kids, of course.
A
So, like, for Taylor, like, still actively writes songs about it, like, thank you, Amy Cassandra. Like, these are songs that people believe to be about the Kardashians on ttpd. That's.
B
Taylor would have to be displaying even more fakeness than Kylie in that moment.
A
But it was Taylor who went over and said hello. And I was. I was sitting behind them. I was on that side. They were both courtside, but, like, they were decently far enough away from each other and they were technically on, like, opposite sides of the court that, like, when Taylor, as was, like, leaving for, you know, to go to drinks or the bathroom, she went one way and Kylie went the other. So, like.
B
But when the celebration could have avoided.
A
No. Because Taylor, like, actively sought her out. You see Taylor sort of waiting for her to turn around. Taylor could have just left.
B
That's how you treat your enemies, though. Yeah.
A
And Taylor is also very aware that, like, everyone's watching everything she does. So, like, she wanted people to know, like, I say hello. I'm gracious.
B
Yeah. If the only person that she would actually not have said hello to is Kim.
A
Kim.
B
But that's how actually even.
A
Yeah, no, I guess she obviously wouldn't say hi to Kanye, but maybe she would say hi to Kim. I think she. Maybe she wouldn't. She wrote a song about Kim.
B
Thank you. Amy hates him. She would have, like, made sure she was nowhere near. But, like, when you're in a cold war, that's how you treat your enemy.
A
And I'm sure that Taylor and Kylie both knew that the other was going to be there. And so you have time to prep.
B
Yeah. And she knew that she was there and that if they win, they'll be on the court, like, and, fine, I'll just hug her. I mean, I think they both handled it perfectly. And it was a great moment.
A
Do they even know each other? Like, yeah, her and Kendall, you actually. They've definitely met because, like, Kendall and Taylor used to be friends.
B
Yeah.
A
It's just, like, so upsetting that, like, they'll never swirl it up, you know, it is. Even though I think that if there was no bad beef, bad blood, the Kardashians and Taylor, like, wouldn't really be friends. They're not similar. They're very different.
B
They're like.
A
I don't think they would get along, so I think there's really not even an opportunity lost.
B
No. No. And who was Haley with?
A
She was in the tape. So there were, like, so many celebrities courtside, but I think it was actually very difficult to get those seats. That MSG had two suites up in the suites level that were, like, just definitely, like, filled with celebrities. They gave them free. Nina Dobrev, Penn Badgley, Tate McCrae, Jake Shane, Kiki Palmer, Haley Bieber. Okay, so she was sitting with Tate and Jake.
B
Cute.
A
Yeah.
B
Time for. Oh. Anyways, good for JFK Jr. He got another job. And I. Oh, yeah, I liked him as an actor. I know, like, you.
A
And, you know, Jamais said that Carolyn Bessette, Sarah Pigeon was spotted, like, swirling it up with Joe Alwyn.
B
Yikes.
A
Yeah. She could do so much.
B
That's not good for the Q score. But no, I'm. I. I like this. And not that I have, like, anything to say because I didn't even see the first movie, but I did read this second book as well, and great go off King.
A
And he has been, like, getting some flack on the Internet because, like, a lot of his interviews have gone viral because, like, he's not, like, like, super friendly. And, like, he was asked at the Met gala, somebody was like, what Beyonce music do you listen to when you're getting ready? Or what's your favorite Beyonce song? And he was just like. Because I guess Beyonce came and, like, people were just asking. And he was like, I don't. I, like, listen to metal. And he was like, kind of like, like, not dismissive, but being, like, kind of. That was a dumb question.
B
I mean, it kind of was.
A
Yeah, of course. And the, like, people were like, oh, he doesn't give a. He's so mean. But I kind of respect it. Like, it was a dumb, stupid question.
B
Seriously. Seriously.
A
They're not at a Beyonce concert. They're not even at a music event. They're at a fashion event. Like, it was a stupid question.
B
Yeah.
A
And he's kind of like, Someone asked him a question and he was like, I don't know. I don't, like, get a lot of sleep these days. He just had a baby. Like, he doesn't give a.
B
Like, I like that and like, that. That's fine. Not everyone, like, needs to be, like, bubbly, like, on the end, you know, viral moments.
A
Fake.
B
Because not everyone is like that. We all have different personalities.
A
A thousand percent. Is it time for TV recap? It is.
B
It's time for LA use a recap.
A
So very much like a filler episode. But I did enjoy because it was just like. I feel like the whole episode was one afternoon. Yeah. But there was a lot going on in that afternoon. It was the first time that I was, like, with this Melanie and Sincere thing. Like, she's obviously the crazy one, but it was the first time he was starting to piss me off because. What do you mean? You had a conversation with Melanie. She asked you straight up, do you still want to explore Seoul? And you said no, and then you're upstairs. It was the first time I felt like her anger was justified. She is a crazy person, so, like, she's hard to root for.
B
He officially did wrong. He. Yeah, he moved badly. And in. In an insincere sort of way, I would say, because this whole time I support him in Soul. I actually, like, love him in Seoul. I think they should be together forever. And if he does not couple up with her, well, I guess the America.
A
Well, he's going to America forcefully.
B
America's choosing. But if he, like, still stays with Melody and, like, winds up back with Melanie, I will be, like, really upset with him because, like, what do you mean? You have this connection with Melanie when you've known each other for five days and you've fought for four of them. Like, why is that stronger than what you have with Soul, which is only happiness and light?
A
And I felt like last night's episode, it was just, like, becoming clear that so many things should happen. There's, like, a puzzle here, and I feel like they're getting close. Obviously, Melanie and Corbin should be together like two freaks. Sincere and Soul are a match made in heaven. Jen and Gabriel are a match made in heaven, even though we didn't even see them last night. I do feel like Kenzie and Caleb are a match made in heaven, but I feel like she doesn't like him.
B
That's what I said the other recap. I said I feel like she doesn't like him, and that's a mistake. I do feel like she attaches easily I feel like she's a lover and she's, like, attached herself to Corbin and, like, went into it very much in earnest and, like, now is a little bit attached to him. People think that they were having sex in the. The bed scene. Did you see that? It was very brief. They showed all the couples, everyone with their back turned to reach each other. You can actually look it up because there is a still shot. I. I'll send you the article.
A
We're talking about Corbin and Kenzie.
B
Yes. They went to sleep that night with Hap. Thoughts?
A
I went to sleep. Oh, I see.
B
Yeah. Do you see the image
A
of him behind her?
B
Of him behind her? And then I actually saw it because I was watching without looking at my phone. She, like, has her finger in her mouth and she's, like, you know, obviously experiencing something. I didn't think it was sex necessarily.
A
Their bottoms aren't moving. Do people know how sex works? Like, how do you know they're.
B
Oh, you see a video of it?
A
It. Yeah, I'm watching it.
B
I didn't think it was sex necessarily, but they're obviously doing something, rounding the
A
bases a thousand percent, like, so.
B
And I think that she gets.
A
Just pissing me off that she doesn't like Caleb because it's getting in the way of my puzzle.
B
I think she likes Caleb, but she's already, like, become involved with Corbin, and it's like she can't just, like, remove herself that easily when she's invested in him a little bit. But I agree with you. You know, I think actually Melanie and Corbin are a good match because I feel like she can really be herself with him. I feel like with sincere. She's always like, either being like, she's
A
pretending to be someone she's not.
B
She is, but. Or she's also just always having a fit. Whereas, like, with Corbin, I felt like they sat down and they were just like. Could actually just be themselves. Him too, Mr. Chad GBT, where he's like, yeah. Oh, mister, can I get a kiss? He's gotta stop with that. Okay.
A
So Melanie asked him, do you want kids?
B
No.
A
Said, yeah.
B
Beatrice asked him that, do you want kids?
A
And he said, yeah. And she said, how many? Like, a lot. He said, I want what three people. Who the says that? Yeah, there's something so weird about him. I like that yesterday everybody, like, decided, you know, we've all sort of coupled up, but let's just see if there's anything else. Everybody started talking to one another. Bea and Corbin, Corbin and Melanie and I guess Bryce and Kada.
B
So when Bryce, it's his friend, tell me what happened.
A
Oh my God.
B
I, I, okay, still have 10 minutes.
A
So Bryce is like teasing to us. He's like, I want to talk to Zach, yada yada. I'm like, what is he about to say? I thought because you know, people like ship him and Zach. I thought he was leading up to be like, zach, I have a crush on you. And it was going to be like a cute, like meet cute with them. No, he was like, I want to pull Kada for a chat. And Zach starts laughing.
B
He thinks he's joking. That is funny.
A
And he's like, no, no, I'm serious. And Zach was like, oh, really? Embrace Zikia. I would never do it without talking you first. But like, I don't know, I just feel like I would be like upset with myself. Like, he's like, I feel like Trinity doesn't like me and I have this like lingering thing. Like I feel like Kate and I have something. And Zach like was really like laughing in his face even when he knew that he was being serious. And he was like, yeah, sure. Like he's so not threatened by Zach. I think he feels very secure in Excuse me, by Bryce. But it did then Zach then also went over to Trinity and told her and they've been having like an argument before that she was like, you're not affectionate enough. I think he just feels that like she really doesn't like him.
B
I mean she is always, maybe there are other conversations, but she's always just saying how they're not a good couple and she doesn't feel like they're as good as everybody else and it's like, like that's annoying to hear all the time. You're making it like a self fulfilling prophecy. Now I will agree with her that he's not like leading with like romance and making her feel like they're in a, like a romantic couple because it does feel very friend friendship. But I do think there's still the potential for more. And he is very committed to her. He doesn't step out, he doesn't talk to other people. Maybe nobody wants to talk to him. But I don't know. I, he seems like he means what he says. So like she just sort of has to trust him that they will get there. But I, I could see for her why that's frustrating and why she would feel like, wait, I'm in this relationship that's not a relationship, but to constantly bring it up instead of doing something about instead one either Be more affectionate with him or two, talk to other people.
A
Yeah. So he hasn't talked to Kada yet, but he, like, made all the arrangements. He's doing it. All right. But it's sort of like this futile effort. Like, Kato is obsessed with Zach, and Kada sort of famously turned him away when the three of them were in bed together the first time at Paradise Cove. So it. I was shocked. I didn't realize what he was gonna say. I'm like, what is he, like, gearing up for? And I was like, wait, what? Like, that's your best friend's girlfriend. And also, like, you had your chance.
B
Well, I think it's good because I think Zach needs to appreciate Kate a more he.
A
And he needs to feel threatened or like, they need to close off.
B
Yeah. No, when he was, like, not appreciating her. And so I want him to, like, realize that he has to, like, work for her and try. And like, I hope Kate, like, actually uses this as an opportunity to get him.
A
To get.
B
Motivate him into some sort of feeling of maybe jealousy or something. Like, I think she should wield this.
A
Yeah.
B
So that. That would be good for them. I actually really like Bryce. I think he's, like, so level headed.
A
And you like him because his name is Bryce, but.
B
No. And when he came in with, like, the hair, like, just put your hair back. It's like, it's very distracting. No, he seems very genuine and level headed. And I. I feel like he's earnestly, like, looking for a good gal. And I feel like he really. I agree.
A
Like, I don't think Trinity in him.
B
I just don't think there's enough chemistry.
A
Yeah.
B
But I think he and I think at the same attorney. I think she's like a quality girl. I think she's also looking. And I wish it would work. Maybe it still can, but I.
A
They both need to start having conversations with other people. It's not working.
B
Yeah, I agree. But I don't know, like, who there is right. For either of them right now. Maybe we need. Need new bombshells.
A
Yeah, I really like the bombshells. The. The OG girls are being really mean. I don't like that.
B
They are. They're so immature.
A
It's really ugly when they. The. All the girls, besides the two bombshells, like, had the conversation on the couch and Beatrice was like, Gabriel kissed both bombshells. Or Melanie said that. And then Melanie was like, I kiss. And they're all started screaming and everyone's like, looking at them.
B
No, and like, Melanie, like, rolls off the couch. She's so extra. She's always doing like that. And like, it keeps. It's never appropriate.
A
Yeah.
B
And like, it just made everyone else, especially the other two girls who aren't there just obviously feel left out.
A
When Melanie was in the glam room, like, so upset that Sincere kissed both bombshells. And literally Jen is right behind her. I don't know if she knew Jen was behind her, but she was like, I mean, he kissed both of them. Like, she's literally right behind you. She can hear you.
B
When at the challenge.
A
She kissed both of them in the glam room. No, but remember, they both got pulled for a chat.
B
And he kissed kiss Jen and Sincere kiss Jen. Mm.
A
I think he.
B
I think she was like.
A
Was it Gabriel?
B
I think. I think she's saying he kissed Soul twice. No. No.
A
Who kissed both?
B
Gabriel.
A
Gabriel.
B
Yeah.
A
Okay. So they're in the glam room, and Melanie's like, I can't believe he kissed both of them. Like, them is Chucky, like, so dismissive. Like, it was basically like, I can't believe, you know, he kissed it. Like, and Jen was right behind her.
B
Yeah. No, she's really, really immature. And it's like, I don't need all, like, the girls. Girls isms hate that. But to, like, just not like, the new bombshells because they're new and you feel threatened is just really ugly when they're coming in. And, like, it's a. It's a hard situation to walk into. Also, there's a lot of discourse online because people have found videos of Melanie from a couple years ago, and she used to be a plus size model. Her family's speaking out. I like, there's a bunch of stories about it. Like, they're talking about, like, the Ozempic allegations.
A
I'm pretty sure cracking up. Okay. I did see that she was a former plus size model, and I do think a lot of her behavior. Once you've been, like, fat, you're, I assume, like, for a part, a great portion of your adult life, and then you get skinny. You kind of, like, don't know how to act. I think that to say that, like, you're. The attention you get when you're fat and skinny from romantic partners is the same is just a lie. Like, it's different. So I think maybe she doesn't really know how to handle some of the attention that she gets. And yeah, she does act like a preschooler. And I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that Maybe a lot of the attention she's getting romantically, like, is new for her and she doesn't know how to handle it.
B
Yeah. Or people are saying that, like, she acts insecure and it stems from munchuous plus size, which I just think is, like, not a good argument thing to say. Yeah, okay. It's not a good thing to say. And, like, it's just. That's not necessarily true.
A
I like how it's like we're looking back in people's history. We're looking for tweets. Did you say a Slurpee? Melanie was fat? Like, it's insane.
B
No, but actually. And also, she, like, her transformation is amazing.
A
She looks insane.
B
She. I mean, I. She's so beautiful. She's one of the most beautiful girls when she got there. But, like, to. To know that she's been on this journey, I find it very inspiring.
A
I'm very, very relatable too.
B
I'm very inspired by her.
A
She's got good skin elasticity. But I think sometimes when somebody loses a lot of weight, like, you can
B
tell I would have never. She has a really bad personality. And I just think that she just has a bad personality no matter her size.
A
Yeah. Like, let's not blame the weight. Yeah.
B
It's so, like, it's unfair.
A
She's insufferable at any size. That's what I think.
B
I agree. And I think people like ascribing, like, her being insecure as having been, like,
A
don't blame a lot of size. A lot of us are plus size and we're delighted. Meanwhile, I don't even know what you're talking about.
B
Bikini model when she's plus size. I don't think she's insecure. I just think it's actually like, an over generalization, and they think they're being, like, inclusive. You're actually being offensive.
A
You're being fat phobic as.
B
Yeah, no, but they think they're being inclusive in saying that. And I'm just saying it's. It's a stereotypical love island discourse.
A
Love island discourse is crazy.
B
No, it really is. So anyways. Oh, her cousins and her sister were, like, speaking out. They're like. Because people saw the old pictures of her and they thought it was AI She. And so her cousin was like, like, Melanie is my little cousin. I can tell you it's her. And no ozempic. She said she worked hard to get her current body and she wasn't insecure when she was plus sized, and she's not insecure now. Thank you, cousin.
A
Oh, this is the first year that islanders are not allowed to have their social medias be running a lot of. Yeah. So in years past, like you would leave your Instagram and your tick tock. Like if I left I would give you the keys. And then it's sort of like the captain of your fan club. It's like posting pictures. I think Love island gives you a lot of content to post. Somebody's like running your accounts while you're gone. This is the first year that that's not happening and I actually like it better because a lot of times like the person running the account gets canceled. Like, yeah, I found your sister's old tweets. It's insane.
B
It's insane. And also it adds nothing. This person has no information on what's going on. They're posting stills from the show that we are watching and they're just like captioning and making it about themselves in some way. I think it's so good that they're not doing this. Also this season it really seems like they did not choose pre existing influencers, people with followings, anything like that. So it's not like they have an account with 500000 followers and they want their followers to watch. I think doing it this way has been so much better.
A
Yeah. Like huda had like 200000 followers before last season.
B
Ace was like a streaming king.
A
Oh yeah, Streams. Yeah.
B
So I think this is really good. And it also like, I think everybody is there for like the fame and everything that comes after it. But it makes it sort of like a level playing field and it feels. It feels less about that.
A
Agreed.
B
So that's your Love island recap. We'll see you after the recoupling to our.
A
Oh, I can't wait. Let's dive into our final segment of the week which is. Oh, Queenie. Weenie Friday. Every Friday, last segment of the week, we like to do queenie of the week and weenie of the week. It's a self explanatory segment where we just like give out awards to people who act like queenies and weenies. This week I feel like a lot of joy was brought this week. I'm ready to go. Let's start with with Queenie. I would like to give my Queenie to somebody who sort of like flies under the radar. Someone who never likes to make it about himself, but I'm going to make it about himself. And it's OG Anunoby. So he's responsible for the tip in the Tip in her around the world. Like, it was insane. He's a viral king. I don't know if you know, he has like so many viral moments. And another one happened this week. So he's in the press conference. Like, he literally just saved the game.
B
Yeah, the whole game.
A
He's so chill. Someone was like, how does it feel? He was like. I mean, everyone thought it was pretty cool. I also thought it was cool. Like, he's so nonchalant about the whole thing. And I just, I said this the other day and it would take one quick Google search, but I've been too lazy. I hope he has a good woman at home.
B
Yeah, I hope so too. Obviously Queenie of the week are like the Knicks. There's an all celebrity, like, everything to do.
A
But OG it's been such a delight.
B
Oh, gee. Specifically, Jalen Brunson. Not to be overlooked.
A
Never.
B
Mr. Jordan Woods. Not to be overlooked.
A
No, of course. But I feel like a lot of the players, like, get their shy and OG is sort of like low key. Like, and it was him. Like, he had 33 points and he barely played the second half. Like, Jalen Ronson had 36, you know? Did you. And it's like, it's always Jalen. It's always Jalen. Absolutely, of course. But like OJ did you see your
B
boy Fox is in like, hot water?
A
Who the. Is my boy Fox on the spurs,
B
you said it's like, it's not just Wemby, like Fox.
A
Okay, the guy, I like his castle.
B
So is that who you said? Okay, but this guy Fox. So when? Right before the OG play, the last one, like, the spurs had the ball and that guy Fox like ran it down so quick to take a shot, but they were winning. All he had to do was just like, sort of.
A
Yeah, of course. Hold on to the ball and run out, waste time.
B
So like he kind of up the entire game. And then reports are that he did not get on the team plane back to San Antonio.
A
Excuse me.
B
Like, everyone's so mad. I don't know why he didn't get on the plane.
A
But like, how is he gonna get home?
B
Maybe, like, he could fly separately, but I think that's a big deal that he wasn't on the plane for whatever reason. But yeah, he actually like just lost the game for them.
A
I mean, it was a group effort. Like, it takes more than just one person at one moment to diminish a 30 point lead.
B
Yes. No, but the same way, like, it takes more than just OG and that alley.
A
Oop.
B
But it's on him. The win is on him. It's the loss on pa.
A
So awkward.
B
Seriously. So I, I could never just like be a part of such high stakes things.
A
In the same vein, my winning of the week goes to the group of young men who destroyed a taxi cab in New York City while celebrating the Knicks win. I saw the cab driver.
B
There was a girl too.
A
Oh, was there?
B
Yeah, and they were like taking off belts and like, like whipping, whipping. And there was a girl. I thought that was really embarrassing for her, like trying to impress the guys.
A
Oh my God. She definitely drinks beer. Such low brow, like disgusting behavior. First of all, that's someone's personal property. Like a cab driver who's now responsible because, like, you're an animal. It bothered me so much. I saw the cab driver, he just looked like, so upset and defeated and like the cops couldn't even do anything to like usher his car out. I think that people like that are some of the lowest IQ individuals. I think that they actually like, don't deserve to live in the same. Like we are civilized. I don't know what, what, what you do. It really upset me. I can't believe there was a girl there. That like changes everything. Yeah, that poor cab driver, like, that's just someone's dad. That someone's husband, like, seriously just wanted to go to work and you now
B
like his life like taken from him
A
and like, is there a GoFundMe? Like, how is he paying for the cab? Like, it really bothered me.
B
Yeah, it's really upsetting. Also, the person who threw an egg at Wemby Big.
A
Yeah, that makes us look so bad, you guys. Like, and like, and yet Wemby is the villain. Like he is this sort of dirty player. But like now we're worse than that.
B
Wemmy's a villain.
A
A game. It's okay, Selena. It's also, it's a basketball. Like, it's a game.
B
He's not the actual bit. Like it's. He's the villain of the, of the game. Of the game. Correct.
A
So he's also still somebody's son.
B
Yeah. To throw an egg is really classless, disgusting behavior.
A
It, it is. And I feel like I don't know what could be done. Like literally the NYPD is deploying all their officers. They have barricades up. But like, like, I don't know, I don't really feel like the players should have to like do a pap walk. Just getting off the bus into their hotel. You know what I mean? Like, pull up into the garage, like do something.
B
Oh. I mean, yeah, maybe. I don't know if the bus could like fit in a. I know.
A
That's what I was saying to Ben. It's hard in New York City. I think sometimes if you're playing in like, you know, San Antonio, you can go in the parking to your hotel. Right.
B
But they probably. It wouldn't fit.
A
Right.
B
And like, maybe people could just control themselves so like the players could, but they can step to the hotel.
A
Insane.
B
Yeah. Not cool. And like also like I think after the first game some I saw a video of like some guy like bashing someone's heads in with a. They took a sign off the like
A
a bus stop sign, like a street sign.
B
Street sign and was like bashing someone's head with it. Not good.
A
Like they're ruining it. They really are. Yeah. That's what I mean when I say like I'll be okay if the Knicks went on Friday. On Saturday like away from home.
B
Understood.
