I'm having an amazing start because I'm sat here with my co journer about to hear her truth.

A truth in which I haven't heard because I didn't even see you this weekend.

No, I was so busy. I had so many revelatory, like, a.

Bunch of co workers going from Friday to Monday without seeing each other.

[Claudia]

I had so many revelations this weekend. It was. That was kind of the theme.

Revelatory weekend. Okay. Where do I even begin? First of all, we Housewives of Beverly Hills is the best show ever made. I'm completely caught up on the season. I apologize for being late. I. I got here my own time, but I got here and that's what counts.

[Bose]

I am caught up as well because I saw, like, the girlies were watching, and I was like, I enjoyed the first two episodes. So I'm back in, and Claudia's going to talk about it. I want to be caught up. So that was a great experience.

[Claudia]

That was a revelation. Another revelation. Nordstrom Rack is the greatest store on the planet. I'd never been to a Nordstrom Rack before. And like I said last week, I appreciate me getting virtually no hate comments about the fact that I've been wearing the same six things in rotation. And I decided to, you know, change that this weekend. And, you know, cardboard Koji. I packed for Christmas. So I packed, like, pretty, like, heavily two, three weeks. And I also always have, like, stuff laying around your house.

[Bose]

House.

[Claudia]

So I had a good amount of clothing, like, to get me through. But obviously my time here has been extended. I went to Nordstrom Rack. I actually went initially because I just felt like they might have good kids clothes. And again, it's 30 degrees here. I did not pack sweatpants. Right. I packed shorts. I packed bathing suits, which we quite literally haven't worn. I went to Nordstrom Rack. I went in one girl and I came out another. It's the most amazing place. You know, we're obsessed with, like, T.J. maxx and Marshalls. And I didn't realize Nordstrom Rack was just like another one of that and a little bit different. And when you shop at TJ Maxx, Marshalls it's amazing, but it's a little bit repetitive because it's just like, you know, same store, new name. Same with T.J. maxx.

[Bose]

Marshall's home. There's only so much like Converse and Rachel Zo you can buy for your baby.

[Claudia]

Correct.

So even though I'll buy all the Rachel Zoe, of course, to support her.

Not sure. Rack is an amazing place, first of all, for clothing. Like, I. I literally cleared the racks for Ro. Then I was like, let me see what they got for women or co Jerry. And I can't believe you have made no comments about my outfit today.

You look so wonderful.

My entire outfit is nor rack. I'm actually going to stand up.

[Bose]

Do you know what's so crazy? I don't want to take away from your revelation. I want to add to it. You went to Nordstrom Rack on Sunday of this weekend and had a revelation. Weirdly enough, my husband and the boys went to Nordstrom Rack on Saturday randomly. We've never been. And all the time that we lived here and they came home with like a bounty of kids clothes and shoes and everything. And they were so excited and they were like, nordstrom Rack is amazing. And I was like, okay, cool. And then the next day you were like, nordstrom Rack is amazing. Parallel experiences.

[Claudia]

And people are like, well, you've never been to a Nordstrom Rack. And you call yourself Cardboard Koji. There is an Ordstrom Rack in the city. It's in Union Square. I'm sorry, I'm just not going there. Like, it's such a busy. It's like a Times Square of downtown. So, no, I have never been. And I can't believe what I've been missing out on. First of all, like, the beauty products I got. Yeah, no, we had to go. And let me tell you, I was really there for ruse. So like, I perused the women's section for all of 10 seconds and I found three amazing things. My shirt, French Connection, $34. My pants, linen pants. I don't know what brand they are, but they're fabulous. With an elastic waistband, 24, like okay, rushed. They had Charlotte Pillsbury. I got some makeup. I had Mac. Like, it was amazing. So revel revelation number two.

[Bose]

Nordstrom Rack.

[Claudia]

Nordstrom Rack. Oh, yeah, I went out.

[Bose]

Oh yeah, you went out Saturday night.

[Claudia]

I went out Saturday night. Yeah, that's right. I got invited to a party by Tyler Cameron. Do you guys know Tyler Cameron of the Bachelor Fame. It was so fun. So, yeah, I went out. He has this charity event that he started in honor of his mom, and it was so nice. Like, it was like a pretty legit affair, like a seated gala.

[Bose]

And what happened?

[Claudia]

What happened was that I lost my paddle. There was an auction and, like, they give you a number and it's like, associated with your credit card, and I lost my paddle. And then later in the evening, I had left already and I got a text being like, thanks for raising your paddle. So I guess somebody picked up my paddle and, like, bid and, like, it's fine. Like, it's for charity for sure, but.

[Bose]

You should get whatever they. They bought.

[Claudia]

I know. I don't want to, like, ask because, like, it's her charity.

[Bose]

You should write back, like, sorry, it.

[Claudia]

Was a little buzzed. What I win. There was, like, a bunch of really good prizes. We were bidding on, like, these golf, like, like once in a lifetime golf experiences.

Oh, my God.

I do wonder what I won. And I'm not gonna protest. Of course it's all for charity, but.

It was kind of like landmine studded. Do you know what I mean?

Yeah. When I walked in and I saw, like, a lot of reality stars, I just had to, like, very quickly, like, sort of center myself being like, what have I said about this person? So there were, I think, a bunch of the ladies from Members Only. Okay, you said no because I don't know them enough. But I think I did say that they were, like, big time losers, which.

[Bose]

I feel like if you didn't watch the show. No, like, I don't. I just don't feel like it's that hurtful if you didn't actually watch it.

[Claudia]

Jason Tardick, he's wearing Abercrombie.

Yeah. No, it's really true. Like, you can't live like that, but you also can't come into the show and, like, censor yourself if someone bring you weenie out.

So you did it for Tyler Cameron? You put yourself in an uncomfortable situation. You did it for a good cause, that maybe don't do it again anytime soon.

Yeah, yeah. No, but it was great. It was really great. It was kind of like a very balanced weekend. Yeah, I went out, I watched, but, like, I watched so much TV this weekend. Like, Ben and I were so. First of all, Ben is obsessed with the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. He's, like, turning to me. I had put it on because I wanted to watch it. And it was just like, we're in this together, right? We have one. We're in this Airbnb. Like, there's a tv and, like, whatever I'm watching, we have to watch together.

You guys are bound.

[Claudia]

And I could tell he's like, oh, this is what we're watching. And I was just like, I have to watch it for work. Like, just get over it. I always say that. Like, I have to watch it for work. And literally the second Ruby went down for his naps, he was like, are you watching? He's obsessed. Of course he's obsessed with Beau. And he's gonna do, like, a whole thing about it on the good guys because he's just, like, so atopic, dude. Just about the Real Housewives, But Bose is his favorite.

Oh, okay.

He thinks Kyle's really cool.

He thinks Sutton's a loser. And he comes into it with, like, no context or, like, history. So he's just watching this season. So those are his takes. And he, like, seriously can't get over Amanda.

Oh, okay. Well, so let's recap. At the end of the show, we'll recap everything that we watched up until this point.

We watch a gr. Grammys. Last night. I watched, I would say, like, 80% by 10:30. Like, I had to go. Yeah.

There was something that was my 13th reason for turning it off. I was very tolerant. I think I watch. I passed 10 o'. Clock. I can't remember what it was that I was like, and now I'm done here. My. My watch has ended.

[Claudia]

Yeah, it was just late, too. Like, it was also just bad.

[Bose]

So, like, it was so funny.

[Claudia]

I didn't think it was bad.

[Bose]

There was only so much I could take. There were, like, some good moments, like Bruno Mars performing not once, but twice. Yeah, that meant a lot to me.

[Claudia]

Yeah, I feel like it. That very classic, you know, award show stank with, like, you know, insufferable people. Just, like, being so out of touch. But I feel like the performances, like, I actually really enjoyed the show.

Oh, I thought the performances. Well, I want to go performance.

I can't group them all together because, like, some were good and some were bad. Like, overall, it was just like, I wasn't, like, enjoying myself.

I feel like a lot of the times I watch the Grammys and I feel so old, and I'm like, not only do I not know any of these people, but I sound like an old curmudgeon being like, you know, back in my day, we listen to real music and. And last night I felt like didn't have a ton of that. The new artist category, which we will get into, had a little bit of that sort of je ne sais quoi of what of like, this isn't music. I don't know these people. I feel old. And back in my day, you know, we use instruments.

But for the most part, I actually really was enjoying myself.

First story, Grammys recap. Let's go through the show in chronological order. We'll talk about the performance. Performances, the awards, the host. The show opened with Rose and Bruno Mars singing my song of the year, Apata, which should have been everything to me, but it, like, didn't sound really good.

[Claudia]

So what's interesting. And I said to Ben, it's such a good song. It can't sound bad.

[Bose]

No. Like, yeah, they did an arrangement, but also things were louder than other things. And it just, like, didn't. It wasn't amazing, even though I would have loved for it to be.

[Claudia]

I feel like they're at a place where they both have probably sang that song so many fucking times and it gets old no matter how good a song is. So, yes, they did this, like, punk emo arrangement, which was not my favorite by any means, but I didn't. I kind of felt like Cynthia Erivo. Like, I didn't know that was happening. I didn't even know Bruno Mars was scheduled to be at this affair. Cause he just kind of gets nominated all the time. And so the fact that, like, it opened with my boyfriend singing one of my favorite songs, like I was not gonna be unhappy. And yes, it was different. And was it the best? No, but I enjoyed it.

[Bose]

Like, I enjoyed it because it's our boyfriend. It's my boyfriend. I'm sitting there with Bruno. You know, my dog is literally named after Bruno Mars. That's how much of my family loves Bruno Mars. And, like, now we're having a brenaissance because, like, he's putting out an album and he' going to be back. He's going on tour. Like, we're going. And I was. Everything was, like, all lining up to be good, but then, like, it just didn't sound good. I think there were some, like, audio issues, which we saw with Alex Warren, which we'll. We'll get into.

[Claudia]

You know, I was able to look past the audio issues because, like, I was excited and, like, it was just starting. I'm like, oh, this is how we're starting. Okay.

[Bose]

Yeah.

[Claudia]

And, you know, whoever opens the award show, like, it kind of sets the tone for what kind of show it's going to be. So I feel like with Bruno being there, like, I liked the tone that it was setting.

[Bose]

Me too. Like, I loved everything except for how it sounded.

[Claudia]

I know. And you know what? Like, I'm not getting bogged down with how it sounded, you know? No.

[Bose]

And I'm just like, Glad that they gave us aputure. Yeah. And they knew that it was like big enough to do it first and the biggest. So great. Happy for them. Trevor Noah hosted again.

[Claudia]

Oh my God. And I didn't. First of all, we didn't cover it, obviously. I don't know if it was like a big news story because usually when these big award shows have a host, like, it becomes a thing. So either like nobody cared or they didn't announce it. But I didn't realize it's been six years. I'm like, it's really enough. It was enough after the first year. Personally not a Trevor. No fan. And I just like, I wish he did something different this year. Like tried being funny. I feel like that would have been really good. I would have liked that.

[Bose]

I don't know if my brain is just mush. I couldn't process like what he was saying in the room that he was saying with all these people around him. He's talking so fast. I had no idea what he was saying.

[Claudia]

It was very manic and that it was very manic.

[Bose]

I felt like if I looked at my phone for one second, I was also, you know, trying to answer some emails. I had no idea what was going on. I would pick my head up and he's just like sitting there with bad bunny. Like. Yeah. And I'm like, what? It was very confusing.

[Claudia]

Yeah. Well, the layout of the room and I think that is his like style. It's like kind of fast speed talking kind of similar to what we do but it's just not the right venue for it. And I thought some of his jokes, like I was really shocked that like we were saying like such like sort of like, you know, airplane food comedy. Like can I get a discount code at Louis Vuitton? Pharrell. Like haha. It was just like really like. Like low hanging fruit. It is an impossible job.

[Bose]

But Nikki Glaser, you know, does it time and again.

[Claudia]

Proves time and time again like it's actually not. He was just pissing me off, like with his like rata ta, like fast speaking, unfunny jokes. And I'm. He said it's his last year and I think this was like his way of going out with a bang. I think he like made some jokes that like he maybe was like holding back.

[Bose]

Last year was the bang in the room with us.

[Claudia]

Not my room, not my bang. So I like, it was my least favorite part. Trevor Noah. I'm just not a Trevor Noah fan. Like I feel like he's just a Part of. Of that kind group of like sort of industry plant comedians, you know, like, I don't know how many, you know, rip roaring fans he has. And I don't know. I'm just like, I'm over it.

[Bose]

It was a lot. The chairs were so packed together. There's like celebrities in every corner of the tv. I'm like, trying to hear what he.

[Claudia]

Said and you could tell they were like hiding from the camera.

[Bose]

And it's like, get to the point of what you're saying and there's just too much going on. I don't like the format.

[Claudia]

Did you see there was like a guy who kept standing up, like right in front of the camera. Like he either didn't know the camera.

[Bose]

Was on him or that I saw it started afterwards. It was Kelty's husband.

[Claudia]

So I was like, oh, my God, that guy looks like Kelty Knight's husband. And he is like in music. He's like a really big music executive. I feel like that might be him, but I like, don't know 100% what he looks like. And then Kelsey posted on her Instagram like, yes, sorry I wasn't there to tell him to sit down. Like, it was actually so painful. Hilarious. That was like, funny. But that was not really Trevor's doing.

[Bose]

That was more so Chris and Trevor was noticeably irritated. And it's like, what did you expect? You put the camera in the middle of a crowded floor.

[Claudia]

You're standing in the audience. Why don't you get on stage? Like, I didn't. Him being in the. It was so, so manic. It was really crazy. I did not like it.

[Bose]

It was really crazy. And I feel like they hope that they're gonna get like good celeb reactions in the background of stuff like.

[Claudia]

Yes.

[Bose]

That's so 10 years ago.

If we're bringing things back from 10 years ago. You know what I'd like to bring back? Put the camera on all the nominees, like, for when they find out that they won or lost. I'm sorry. Like, it's fun. I feel like they try to like save face. No, I like it. Bring it back.

Yeah. Then Breener performed Queen. Breener performed man. Sabrina Carpenter. Air. She brought an airplane. It was like very 19 pan am. Pan Am. Very. You know Amanda.

[Claudia]

[Bose]

Yes. Sabrina Carpenter performed as Amanda Francis.

[Claudia]

I just love that girl. Like, I know she not didn't win one award last Night. But like, it wasn't like her year, you know, last year was her year and she had like a lot of good stuff this year. Like enough to get nominated, but really not enough to win. But that performance was just, just. It had everything. It had the dancing, it had the tick tock dance, it had the song, it had the vocals, it had the outfit, it had the aesthetic. Like I could have done without the bird because, like, one, like leave the bird alone. And two, it like the bird kind of like fell. But other than that, I just felt like, so everyone should go home.

[Bose]

Yeah, it felt very effortless too. Like she was so comfortable, not nervous at all. She's just like walking, strutting, singing.

[Claudia]

And I like my voice laying. I dig it. And she has so much fun when she does. Like, this is someone who loves their job. And I just felt like they should have ended the performances after that. Like, she was so good. I felt bad for everyone else. You ever had, you know, performance so good. Like it makes you feel bad for everyone. Don't even bother.

[Bose]

Yeah, but it's like this didn't make me feel bad for anyone because I feel like vocally she's amazing, but it's not like she has something that no one else can, like, achieve. So, like, everyone is capable of this sort of greatness at. Who can sing, who can carry.

Next, Kendrick Lamar won Best Rap Album.

That felt right.

Yeah. Best New Artist medley. Okay, so what they did was Best New Artist nominees. They all performed one after the other. They all got, you know, ample time to perform.

[Claudia]

Don't you feel like the Maria's got like a little bit more.

[Bose]

It felt long, you know, it just.

[Claudia]

Like felt really 1000% like time flies.

[Bose]

When you're having fun, so the medley crawls when you're not.

[Claudia]

The medley's is where I was like starting to like, feel, you know, distant from, you know, the new generation. And it. It pains me. Like, obviously I don't know the Marias and that girl, like, was talented, but that music was dreadful. And then they went into Addison and I feel like since Addison's launch on Tik Tok, like, no two people have been more supportive of her. And I love that she, you know, chose music as like, she was doing acting and then social media and she chose music and she's like giving it her whole heart. It's not the type of pop stardom I wanted. And that doesn't mean that it's bad or good. It's just not what I like. It's very Charlie XCX Line Del Rey. Whereas I'm much more like, you know, Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, like, more obvious, you know.

[Bose]

Yeah.

[Claudia]

And then that performance was really shocking in its badness. The song Fame is a Gun is. I've heard like that one eight second clip from Tika. It's a nightmare, you know, like, I know like the eight seconds. I had never heard the whole song before. And it was really shocking how not good it was. The dancing, like, it was all so crazy.

[Bose]

It was not good. It felt. Felt cheap to me, the dancing and the backstage. And I want the most for her. And I've always been supportive of her and I always will. I would never be like a hater, but like, you know, you have to be able to just be like, that wasn't the greatest.

[Claudia]

Yeah. And I just know it was kind of killing Tate McRae, like, because when she showed up on that truck, it was from a really far camera distance. I was like, oh, is that Tate McRae? Was she nominated? The whole thing was giving just like, really try hard. And like, the vocals weren't great. The dancing, everything was like operating at a very mediocre level.

[Bose]

Yeah. And she's a really great dancer. So they did like the dance break. And the dance break was. It wasn't dance breaking.

[Claudia]

Yeah, it wasn't good.

[Bose]

Yeah.

And then to Cat's Eye.

Okay, so they perform their song gnarly. This is what I think I know about Cat's Eye. Are they the group from the Netflix show?

Like, it was nutty. At random times, there's just someone's shouting gnarly.

Like, it was interesting to watch them as a collective, but then also focus.

It was really giving fifth harmony.

Yes, exactly. It was giving fifth harmony. So with those back to back Maria's, I was like, damn, this new generation of music is not cutting It. And then things started to slowly get better with Leon Thomas who I completely discovered in that moment. Ben was like, that looks like Andre from Victorious. I'm like, of course you would know that it is. I didn't know that that was happening. Much like Cynthia Erivo, that Andre, whose name is Leon Thomas, he's also a Grammy winner. Like he's been around for a little bit.

[Bose]

He won last name. I've heard the name.

[Claudia]

Yes. And I just had him put together that. That was Andre. Like that school really was a performing arts school. Like they were churning out the stars and I just know it kills. Victoria Justice. Like another one bites the dust. Like Ariana Grande. Leon Thomas. She was right though. They really do all sing.

[Bose]

Yeah.

[Claudia]

Crushed it. I thought his performance was great and like I wasn't familiar with his music but if he'd won, I would have thought it was well deserved.

[Bose]

Yeah.

[Claudia]

So that's when it started to get better.

[Bose]

Yeah. Like we needed a break from the.

[Claudia]

Chaos and it was just refreshing to see a guitar. Do you know what I mean?

[Bose]

Yeah.

[Claudia]

Bring back guitars. I feel like I never see guitars anymore. Like instruments.

[Bose]

But you saw a guitar on Justin Bieber.

[Claudia]

Yeah, we'll talk about that. I saw one.

[Bose]

You didn't hear one.

[Claudia]

No. But it was like loop de loop.

[Bose]

Yeah. Then Alex Warren performed Ordinary and like I feel so bad for him today. No, he cried himself to sleep because his. He couldn't hear. It wasn't his fault. He started singing the. From the moment he. The camera started touching his monitor, he's touching his ear and he's walking through the crowd and it's like so chaotic and he's like thinking, what am I singing in my ear? He's like not enjoying himself. Then he gets to the stage and he rips it off. Usually that's like, okay, let it just get worse. And he was just not with the music. Thankfully he put it back in and then by the time he was up uplifted singing the chorus, like he was on track. But you just know like he is so upset.

[Claudia]

I was so upset. It was devastating. Like, what a big deal to be nominated for best new artist. Especially like, I mean I think a lot of people have like crazy come up stories but his is really kind of. We know him from the hype house but before that, I mean he was homeless. He's an orphan. Like just a real rags to riches story, a real success story. Just devastated. And seriously, I don't know whose job it was to make sure the monitors were on, but like I want him to be held accountable. Like, I feel so bad. It wasn't like, you know, Alex Warren stunk it up.

[Bose]

No, not at all.

[Claudia]

It was not his fault.

[Bose]

His voice sounded great. He wasn't with his music and he couldn't hear. And that was really sad. Like, my heart goes out to him and I just want to tell him, like, the Grammys aren't that big of a deal. Like, don't worry about it. You'll go. No one was watching in your life.

[Claudia]

You'll do things greater than singing at. Maybe you won't, but I think he will.

[Bose]

No one was watching. Seriously, like, we're all going to forget about it.

[Claudia]

And I just want to say he gets a lot of, like, I see, like, music. People who, like, criticize music. Like, they call, like, him and Olivia Dean, they call it, like, supermarket music. Right. It's just like, it's like they say it's similar to Meghan Trainor. Right. Like, music that just sounds good and people like. And after those three dreadful performances, I was like, we need to erase this stigma around supermarket music. Because what you're telling me is Supermarke Market music is good. It sounds nice. It's joyful. Yeah. Okay, so what's your. Somebody asked me what I like. I like supermarket.

I love supermarket music. That's always how I know something's a hit. I'm like, I heard it at the supermarket.

[Claudia]

Yeah. And I think that's like, you know, look down on from like, music critics and what, like, the Maria's is considered good? Sorry, no. Bring back supermarket music. I felt so bad for him. It was so. It was as an empath myself that I kind of, like, couldn't recover after that.

[Bose]

Yeah, me neither. And I'm also, like, kind of glad that he didn't win because I don't think he could have, like, given a speech after that. Like, I think his night was thoroughly ruined. Another year will be his Grammys here. He'll have an amazing performance and he will triumph. And I just. That was not it. And that was.

It was triggering for me though, you know, given the Picasso of it all.

Oh, yeah. I'm sorry. I didn't realize that was happening.

Then Lola Young saying screamed messy.

That was such a crazy performance.

And that song is really good. The rendition was just not for me. I appreciate her trying to do something new and different. She is an extremely talented vocalist and I think she wanted to show that off. And she just Sort of went sideways.

She went too high and loud and.

[Claudia]

Yeah, it was a crazy performance.

[Bose]

It was. It was a crazy evening for Lola. She wound up winning an award for messy best pop vocals, which I think is earned. The vocals on that song are insane. And she shouted her thing like it was just.

[Claudia]

She's a shouter.

[Bose]

She's just a crazy person. But, like, the Grammys are for the crazy people. For Lady Gaga, for Chat.

[Claudia]

We're on that outfit for Lola. Yeah.

[Bose]

And Alex Warren's just not crazy enough.

I know. That's what he's supermarket. Same with. But Olivia Dean did.

Then it went to Olivia Dean. She sang man, I need. I love watching her perform. And she brought the same energy, like, from all of her performances to the Grammys. So I feel like people who didn't know who she was or weren't familiar with her game were able to, like, see what we all see. And then she won, and it was so earned after that medley.

It was just very clear after, like, the lead up of the performances that, like, she was the winner. Right. I mean, from the dreadful nonsense to, like, the just noise from Cat's Eye, it was very clear, like, if she didn't win, there was something really wrong with that category.

Carol G. That's a beautiful woman. And their little. Her and Marcelo, that shtick made me laugh. Like, oh, yeah, my future kids are going to clean the house, too. Very funny.

Very. I agree. Also, Trevor Noah kept making these jokes about Bad Bunny in the super bowl and how he can perform tonight because he's playing the Super Bowl. Can we get you to perform when.

You just respect his boundaries?

It just was not funny.

Then Lady Gaga performed Abracadabra.

[Claudia]

And much like Apata, I believe it's a song. She's probably, like, beat to the ground, right? It's like, it was one of the biggest songs this year. She was on tour when I went to see her Madison Square Garden, they started the show an hour late because she performed Abracadabra six times. And they filmed it for the VMAs. So, like, this is a song she's beat to death. So I understand her wanting to, you know, reinvent it, in a sense. The lampshade, like, everything. She is who she thinks she is, and she is who all these other bitches, like, think that they are. And when we talk about, like, crazy artists, like, all of it is fake. All of it is performative. Lady Gaga is so the real thing. She's the craziest person on the planet. It. And what I love about her is, like, I don't get it. Right. I don't understand anything that she does, but she never sacrifices, like, the quality of her performance because, yes, it was insane. It was an amazing performance of that song. So, like, while I don't understand it, I can enjoy it.

I know pop vocal, but Pop contemporary, she was so humbled and, like, so honored. I just feel like her, for me, like, her Q score went up so much. Like, I've always Loved her. I love her music. She's great. Crazy, but I feel like I understand her a little bit more. And her. And her man, her audio engineering man. She looked so normal in so many senses. Even though she is this, like, crazy person.

Also, I feel like she hasn't won an award in a long time. Yeah. So I felt like it meant a lot to her. There was a time where she was sweeping and then to, like, you know, put out an album, let's say 10, 15 years after, like, Born this Way and be showing all these how it's done. I think that it's even more meaningful.

Yeah. And I just think it's, like, very clear. She has a happy home life, and that was coming through for me. She feels very fulfilled.

It's about these like crazy dog people who all traveled to this like dog competition show, whatever. And I didn't realize they play husband and wife, so they have this like long sorted history. I was shocked.

I mean, I thought it was like Bible. I was like, oh, my God. God is listening. And then it's gonna be cool. When I saw that, like, he, you know, when I was a kid and I saw that it was six more weeks of winter, I was like, crushed. I thought it actually affected the weather.

No, I thought he was really an oracle. Like, he knew, right? But I just Want to say, like, I love Groundhog's Day. I think we don't have a lot of traditions like this.

Yeah. So the original cast of Bravo's beloved Real Housewives of New York City have packed up their penny and defected to E. Sources say that Luann, Sonia, Jill Zarin Kelly, Ben Simone, and Ramona Singer have signed a deal with E. And expect to have a new show on the air by the end of the year.

[Claudia]

I just. I adore this. You want to know why? It's like, I respect that Bravo wanted to reboot Roni. Like, maybe I think that there was an. They got to an inflection point with a lot of the franchises where, like, these OGs who were beloved, like, wasn't. It wasn't working, and they tried something new with roadie, and it didn't work. They kind of refuse to, like, admit that and revert or do something else. They're just, like, kind of digging their heels in. And there is so much demand for these women. Like, I feel like they're living new, interesting lives. A lot of them have moved. I feel like a lot of them actually live in Florida. Maybe the show's gonna be based in Florida.

[Bose]

Like, all the women that were named for this show does. The man does.

[Claudia]

Jill does. Yeah. So like there's so much demand for them. They're beloved. I feel like Bravo gives them like, you know, peanuts. Like they bring them to Bravo Con and like maybe they go and watch Robin's Live every now and then, but they're is a demand for it. And so the fact that they didn't just like wait for Bravo, I kind of love this. And it's like I really actually hope the show is successful because these, these women should have been picked back up a while ago.

Like especially if they're all like living together like the show is happening.

They get together all the time. Yeah. It seems like a no brainer. They live in the same area. I like hate that Bravo wouldn't do it. And they just sort of, you know, ultimate girls trip. It's not enough and it's not sustainable and there should be a show for these women. And I'm really curious if it's going to be successful because there is such demand for and there's more demand for them than there is for the new legacy Rooney.

I can't imagine that if they just went back to Rony with like the same old drunks if it would be worse ratings than what they're doing now. There's no way.

Well, Beverly Hills Housewives is kind of one of the remaining franchises that never had like a full re reboot but still has OGs and they've really done it quite well. I was thinking that last night. It's actually amazing how Kyle Richards like, you know, some seasons I like her, sometimes I don't. But like, she really is a great housewife and she's the only OG who doesn't feel like this hanger on her, like, let the mouse go. This season is fantastic. And I'm happy to admit I was definitely wrong about Rachel Zoe.

[Bose]

Oh, good. I was going to ask you.

[Claudia]

I thought she wouldn't like join. You know, it is a little bit. You debase yourself a little bit on Housewives. You do have to be like embarrassing in restaurants. Right. And I thought for sure, like she wouldn't be down to clown. But I feel like she is clowning. She's having like snarky so far. I'm really enjoying her. And she herself, she's just, you know, she's interesting as a person and I didn't realize it was gonna coincide with her divorce and that she would be sharing so much. And I was wrong about her. Her home was beautiful.

[Bose]

Like I. Oh, I love her house.

[Claudia]

Her style, so interesting.

[Bose]

I want to see more of her house. She's so interesting to look at. When she was at the vintage store, just like trying on little, that little jacket crop, Chanel jackets left and right. Like it was such a pleasure to watch. Her hair is beautiful. Her jewelry, she spends 10k.

[Claudia]

Like that's what we need.

[Bose]

Yeah, it's. I really am enjoying her. And then she goes and just like, you know, talks shit. Yeah.

No. And it's not like she's shying away, which I really appreciate.

It's also not like debasing herself or putting on or like doing something that she thinks the audience wants to see because she needs to be on the show. Like she's just being herself. And I feel like that's where like the women of Beverly Hills thrive. Like Kathy Hilton doesn't need to be on the show isn't going to do anything.

But everyone meets her where she's at.

Yeah, she's just going to be herself and we're going to enjoy it. And she also adds to the fodder. It's been really, really great. And I love that she's, like, gotten close with a lot of the girls already. She loves Erica, likes to read. Like, she fits right in.

Right. And she doesn't feel like a new girl, which is great. And I think I actually feel bad for Amanda and I don't think she should have been cast on the show. I actually think it was like. Like a mean thing to do because everyone who comes into the group is more or less an extension of someone. I don't remember how they introduced her, but she bought Kyle's. Kyle's friend, Right? They friends.

[Bose]

Yeah.

[Claudia]

And she's so out of her league. Like, she really reminds me a lot of Whitney Rose from Salt Lake City just in, like, how she dresses and how she talks. And, you know, Beverly Hills is like the crown jewel of the franchise. They get really affluent women, really famous women. You know, even that random girl who keeps showing up was married to Simon Cowell.

[Bose]

Like, Fuller.

[Claudia]

It's just. Wait, what?

[Bose]

She was married to Simon Fuller?

[Claudia]

Oh, wait, who's that?

[Bose]

Like, Simon Cowell?

Oh, wait, she wasn't. I keep telling bad. I'm like, she was married to Simon Cowell.

Simon Fuller, he's also like an executive. I think he also produced American Idol. There were two to Simons.

But it's like the same thing.

Okay, sorry. But, like, that's what I mean. It's a real upper echelon. I mean, even, you know, you think of some Crystal Kung minkoff, they keep referring to her because, like, literally the way she's speaking. I'm sorry, her husband is like a huge deal. So she's so out of her league with her fake business. That's quite literally an mlm. And she's like social media. Social media. I went to her Instagram. She gets 700 likes and she has 500,000 followers. Like, it's a scam. Like, the whole thing. There will be a documentary on.

[Bose]

But how does she have money?

[Claudia]

I don't know. I do believe she is a successful scammer so far. Like, with her courses. So it's like, with her, she just wears like crossbody bags and bodycon dresses. Like, it's giving Salt Lake City. And I don't mean that in a negative way. It's just a different tier of wealth and how people dress. So she was never gonna make it. And her personality sucks.

[Bose]

Yeah, her personality stinks. What's funny is I actually didn't even see her that way because she so doesn't see herself that way. I think she thinks she's on a different level from these women where she's, like, more enlightened. She ain't. Yeah. And like. Like, when she's, like, saying, we made beautiful choices with the house, like, she's just like, it's very potent house.

[Claudia]

Like, she has, like, the mirror that everyone has. She's just like a cheugy millennial.

[Bose]

Yeah, it is very millennial. And like this. The women in this group are a bit older, and they don't speak millennial jargon. You know, you violate very. When she. When Kyle said it's giving crystal, like, she was right, you know, being so sensitive and, like, you can't even have a confrontation because, like, immediately. Oh, you verbally accosted.

[Claudia]

But even with the, like, even outside of her presence on the show as, like, an instigator or like a housewife, just her being selected was wrong. And I feel like she came in so insecure. Who wouldn't? Like, Rachel Zo didn't come in insecure. Kathy Elton didn't come in insecure.

[Bose]

I was getting insecure. Oh.

[Claudia]

I was like, just, like, the way she kept talking about her bags and. And the one upping. That's, like, an insecure thing because she's so out of her league. So I really did feel bad for her, and I don't even dislike her so much, as much as I really feel bad for. Because it's mean that they casted her on the show. Sorry. It is. And she's clearly dealing with this terrible thing that happened to her, and there's no right way. And Bose is right, and Bose is saying the thing that everyone's thinking. It's like, you know, you can't use something difficult that you went through as a defense in a fight. Like. But that's exactly what she's doing. It's very amateur. It's very immature. I don't even dislike her. I feel really bad for her. And what she did to Dorit in that conversation was so wrong. Wrong. Because if you are that fragile, you were talking with your husband, doing glam, Preparing for a conversation, so you just sort of threw it as a defense, and there's nothing anyone can say. And it's just sort of like a conversation ender. And I feel bad for her because it's so horrible.

[Bose]

It's so horrible.

[Claudia]

And there's no right way to deal with it. She's doing it the wrong way, but there is no right way to.

[Bose]

Well, you shouldn't have come. She shouldn't have come. But Then she was saying, like, her husband said she should be amongst friends, and I agree with that. But these aren't her friends. Like, these are her co workers. It's a work event. We're here to sit at a table and argue. And if you're not in a position to do that, which you're not and you should be, and that's understandable and, like, nobody blames you, then, yeah, I guess be at home. But I was disappointed in Dorit that she didn't just immediately drop it, of course, because there is nothing you can say, nothing you should say.

[Claudia]

Amanda did then continue, but she never should have.

[Bose]

So I didn't get that until this most recent episode. They played like, a replay where it did seem different, where she, like, said she continued on. She said.

[Claudia]

And then Dorit was like, wait, I thought we weren't continuing. But before that, Dorit had brought it back.

[Bose]

Yeah, it's an impossible.

[Claudia]

It's an impossible situation for dorit. I don't even think dorit handled it wrong or whatever. It was so weird.

[Bose]

Yeah.

[Claudia]

I felt so bad. It was just awful. She's not built for this life.

[Bose]

I really feel like she thinks that she is. She ain't in her own way. Like, she has her boundaries, and she wants to bring them to this group of women.

She was in the car rolling calls with Rachel, Zoe and Erica. Yeah, that was really, really cringe.

And I have to say something about Erica, and I only came to this realization recently because she was always, like, glamazon. Right. She brought her glam team everywhere. She really upped the game for a lot of the women, and it was easy to do that. It's easy to have, like, amazing glam, amazing hair, amazing style when you have unlimited money. And she's had this, you know, enormous fall from grace in terms of, like, her finances, and she lives in this little house, and it's such a testament to her true sense of style and taste how, like, she has not faltered in her lukes one bit. She's maybe wearing, like, less designers, but, like, who even knows? She is so glamorous. She so kills it with her style. And I feel like it's a real testament because a lot of these women, like, it's a.

[Bose]

It's not anyone can buy good style.

[Claudia]

Stylist makeup, but you can tell, like, she's so invested in her, and she's really. She just crushes it. I feel like she doesn't get enough crush credit for, like, she didn't miss a beat moving from the big house to the little house. Like, with the glam, she always showed up. Yeah, I love that. She's really one of my favorites. She does play both sides of dorit and kyle, and it's clear that she's closer with kyle, and I don't know if dorit knows that.

[Bose]

Oh, you think?

[Claudia]

Because Kyle was the only one who knew about her boyfriend.

[Bose]

I felt like last season she played both sides, but I felt like she was more sympathetic and closer to dorit, but, like, she is not going there. And so that's just how I feel. Like she is more with dorit.

[Claudia]

No, I think she's more with kyle, and it's, like, annoying me. Kyle. Kyle's, like, doing the same thing she did last season with, like, the PK thing. Memes and jokes, like, still defending him.

[Bose]

Well, maybe he is, maybe he isn't.

[Claudia]

Yeah, it's so.

[Bose]

But I also feel like the one bit that they shared that, like, mo said that dorit won't let PK see the kids, and they're saying, oh, that's not what dorit said to me. That jives exactly with what dorit said.

[Claudia]

He comes when he wants to see.

[Bose]

The kids at these times that he wants because that doesn't work for their schedule.

[Claudia]

He goes to Europe for six weeks.

[Bose]

The only thing that could be more disruptive to their lives is if their lives are disrupted even more.

More like 1000%. I think they're both saying the same thing.

[Claudia]

You just want to come because you've been gone for six weeks. Like, no, you can't see them. So she is allowed to say that. And, yeah, I'm not allowed to see my kids. Well, maybe if you were home.

Yeah. No. Or, like, no, you can't see them during the school day. You can't see them during their after schools. You know, Phoenix is an amazing ballerina.

[Claudia]

She was making me cry when she was talking about how Jagger's just like.

[Bose]

This walks around with the weight of the world on his shoulders.

[Claudia]

Ugh. It was. And then. And then Kyle's like, well, maybe he does. Maybe doesn't. I like, Kyle's so not a girl's girl. And I feel like when you get to. I feel like Kyle is so hung up on mauricio, and mauricio was obviously team pk and so, like, kyle just, like, wants to be in mauricio's good graces. I mean, like, to read said, like, and it's just so lame. It's so not cool. And like, girls. I'm not even a girl's girl, but, like, when a girl's getting divorced, I keep saying girls, they're these 50 year old women. When a woman's getting divorced, like, and you can tell when a man, like, she's saying very much like, right. Roger flips. Like, the guy you knew is no longer there. That's. So what's happening with bk? He's clearly having a midlife crisis. He's making out with young women in the street. He's not paying the mortgage.

[Bose]

That's not like, the side that you're going to be like, I don't have to even know the. And when Dorit said he could come and, oh, the kids are going here and he hasn't seen them in weeks. I don't have to know all the ins and outs to know that, like, Dorit's the one taking care of obviously, and it's going to do what's in the kid's best interest.

[Claudia]

And how wonderful that she has her parents still. Like, when I was seeing that, I was like, that's so amazing. And that I was getting, like, so emotional and Jagger was, like, not even yearning for his father, but yearning for Dorit's father. Yeah. She's the bad parent, right? Please. I just, like, Kyle's really pissing me off.

[Bose]

Yeah. I still ship Dorit and Mo, of course.

[Claudia]

I'm so glad bo's let it go. But in the first couple of episodes when she was, like, hounding Kyle to, like, talk about why she's not dating, it's like, I actually don't care. You're being like, a little like a badger. Bose is my favorite housewife on this show. Show. She's the only one said her confessionals are hysterical. I love her friend Summer. Like, yeah, bring your random friend Summer everywhere. I know.

[Bose]

I love it. I love it. Sag was watching me. He's like, who's that? I'm like, it's Summer.

[Claudia]

What do you mean it's summer? Like, when everyone brings a friend, it's like, Faye Resnick. Yeah. This is Summer from Oklahoma. I love it. I love it. And her. Her story was really crazy how she lost custody of her kids for two years because she had an evil husband who was a lawyer. Yeah. So you know what? Yes, Actually. Actually, come Summer.

Yeah. And then, like, Summer's at the birthday dinner.

[Claudia]

Good.

[Bose]

And I was thinking, when everyone's at the birthday dinner, these women are actually getting along so well. There's tension between Doreen and Kyle share. But, like, they have history and they're friends and whatever. And it's like, if it weren't for Amanda, this would just be a group of women having the best time.

[Claudia]

Yeah.

[Bose]

No.

[Claudia]

So a character like Amanda is kind of a necessary. But I feel really sad for her. Like, she makes me butt clench and cringe, of course, yada, yada. But she's so out of her depth, and she's. I feel like she's been aware of it since that's why she's, like, stunted on the phone with the call calls and showing up. Oh, my. All my backpack. Chanel.

[Bose]

Like, oh, that's so funny. I didn't read to me like that. I felt like she's very confident, very affected, and, like, pompous almost.

[Claudia]

Oh, no.

[Bose]

And not in a way that's so insecure. Maybe it all stems from.

[Claudia]

That's the toughest group of women. And it takes someone like Rachel Zo just to come in as an equal, as a peer.

[Bose]

She's not.

[Claudia]

And she's younger. Like, it's just all of it.

[Bose]

But she's living in Kyle's house, and Kyle was on the show for. Yeah, 10 years in that house. That was really sad to watch Kyle get emotional over the house, which it was very emotional. Like, those were the happiest years, of course.

[Claudia]

And you know what? I know it sounded crazy, but I kind of hear her, like, if they didn't move out of that house, because that is, like, sort of when things started to break down and they were in this, like, new league. Like, it was always cool how, like, they had increasingly more and more money every season, and they never left that house. It was like their family home. It was very grounding.

[Bose]

It was very happy house.

[Claudia]

Yeah. I kind of think maybe they wouldn't have ended up where they ended up.

[Bose]

What was also sad to me is, like, Mauricio is so moved on, and.

[Claudia]

He was so unaffected by the house.

[Bose]

And, like, when she's crying and we all know why she's crying, and he's like, oh, because the girls are getting married.

[Claudia]

Like, he's trying to, like, voice it on the girls.

[Bose]

He's trying to make it about, like, oh, they were little and now they're big, which is something everybody goes through. You have that conversation if they were still married.

[Claudia]

Yeah.

[Bose]

That's not what it was about. He doesn't even want to go beneath that surface with her because he. Not that he doesn't care, but he.

He's not there.

And that's what she was saying when they take the family trips, and he's just, like, kind of like a wall. He's not going deep with her. I imagine it's a slippery slope. Although we did just report that over New Year's they were getting cozy. And, like, I do desperately for Kyle's sake. Like, it's very sad to watch. Even when he showed up at dinner. Like, she just yearns for him so obviously, and, like, acting like they're not filing for any reason other than that. Yeah.

But I think I also. I don't feel like she's, like, in love with him still. Like, she's hung up on him.

It's more like that former life.

Yeah. And it's like, then what's next? If they do divorce, then what's next? As opposed to just, like, holding on to, like, that life, which brought her so much joy.

I really liked the speed dating event. That was hysterical. And the fact that they all kept showing up in funeral outfits was making me laugh so hard. That was a really fun thing. And I want to talk about Sutton.

[Bose]

Okay.

[Claudia]

She's having this, like, rebirth, and I actually. I'm. I'm down because she's, like, awful, and I'm tabula rassa. Like, I'm good.

[Bose]

I'm, like.

[Claudia]

It really bothered me that she was, like, letting Amanda get to her in Sedona about Avi. Like, the crying. It's like this. I feel like it empowered Amanda to, like, continue on with her annoying ways. And I really wish she, like, didn't, but she's so emotional, son. She's always crying.

[Bose]

Yeah.

[Claudia]

I think the Jennifer Tilly thing was interesting, too.

[Bose]

I didn't really get, like, when they had that final dinner at the airport, and everyone was, like, rallying behind some, and I'm like, did I miss something? Like, why did she need all this support? Like, someone just brought up something I.

[Claudia]

Know, and she's handling, like, she wants people to stop talking about it. And she's. Her behavior is just sort of making me more and more intrigued. I literally didn't care that her assistant left, like, at all. But now she's like, it's such a big deal. I'm like, okay, well, what did happen?

[Bose]

I know. I found it.

[Claudia]

She's handling it so backwards, like, in order to, like, throw the scent off, just be, like. Like, lean in. But she's like, so we can't talk about it. Well, now I have to. To know.

[Bose]

Yeah, it was. It was odd.

[Claudia]

Yeah.

[Bose]

But, yeah, she's not like a main character this season, which is.

[Claudia]

It's. It's been a tough.

[Bose]

Like, she needs to take a back seat.

[Claudia]

Yeah.

[Bose]

It had been a lot.

[Claudia]

Yeah. I'm gonna hope my girl Bose gets pregnant by, you know, some way.

[Bose]

Yeah. Keely. Bose and Keely.

[Claudia]

I love Bose. She's the voice of reason on the show.

[Bose]

Yeah. And everybody loves her.

[Claudia]

Oh.

[Bose]

And it's like, you really can come into this group as a new person and, like, they're. They are. Are, like, open to making new friends.

[Claudia]

And her and Bose's Dorit new summer. They're close.

[Bose]

Yeah.

[Claudia]

But when Bose invited Dorit to lunch with Amanda, thinking, like, Amanda would have some good, like, practical finance rich as, like, have some practical, like, business advice for a woman going through divorce retirement. And she's all talking about manifesting. Oh, my God. I just about died. Like, Bose is like, okay, thanks for coming. I don't know what the future holds for Amanda.

[Bose]

Yeah. I don't know. I feel like she can hold her own, but it's just like, the girls have really written her off already. She's not their cup of tea, nor are they hers.

[Claudia]

Yeah.

[Bose]

And I just.

[Claudia]

Her being in the same room as Rachel Zoe, like, and Kathy Hilton.

[Bose]

I agree. It's a mismatch.

[Claudia]

Yeah. And they're usually pretty good about casting. Why not Simon Fuller.

[Bose]

Yeah.

[Claudia]

Wife.

[Bose]

Well, maybe. I mean, the thing is, everything Amanda says really is, like, you know, polarizing. A polar. Yeah, it's like a bomb. Like, I don't know, that story about.

[Claudia]

The happy ending massage was kind of crazy. And then Bose being like, you couldn't have waterboarded that information out of me. Like, obsessive bows. And I don't know. This Natalie woman sounds interesting.

[Bose]

I'm like, I. I'm sure Kazing tested them both.

[Claudia]

Like, just.

[Bose]

Amanda's just kind of delusional, which is. And you. That is a required trait for a housewife.

[Claudia]

It's true. It's a great season. I'm really enjoying. Ben is obsessed. He's a tweet more episodes. He is hooked.

[Bose]

And I love, like, Rachel Zo, like, talking about Amanda and all of her confessionals. It's very OG Housewives. No one wants to do. No one wants to be seen as a mean girl anymore. So they don't do it. But Rachel's just coming on as who she is. Yeah. And that's, like, why we all watch Housewives.

[Claudia]

And it's like she said, you know, I don't ever really talk about, like, my accomplishments or like, my accolades or whatever. So, Amanda, like, with the book. The book, the book. Oh, and then the ghostwriter comment.

[Bose]

I thought ghost comment retort.

[Claudia]

Court was excellent. Oh, you must have had a lot of time.

[Bose]

The. Oh, no, we didn't buy the house. I bought the house.

[Claudia]

I make it a month what he makes in a year. Her husband watching that. Vomiting. Yeah, vomiting. He didn't buy the house. I did.

[Bose]

And Rachel's like, why? What did that contribute to the conversation?

[Claudia]

Just that you hate your husband.

[Bose]

Just that you're putting him down, like, right. For what?

[Claudia]

And you keep, like, telling all these amazing stories about him. But all I know is that, like, you know, according to you, he's some popper you pulled off the street. Yeah, it's bad. Like, I'm watching that back, like, to them together. Yikes. Yeah. Well, that's Real Housewives. That's your show. And Fabulous Monday.
