Good morning, girlies. It's the Toast. It's Jackson Claude and we're your host. It's your favorite show. The Fast 5 things you need to know. We'll start your day off swirly. It's the Toast. I sound amazing. Welcome back to the Toast. Happy Tuesday. I am in studio today with a first time toast guest or co host. It is Natalie Joy Viall. Welcome to the Toast.
B
Hello. Thank you for having me. So excited.
A
I'm so excited that you're here. You are one of the few people on this earth who podcast as much as Claudia and I and watch actually more TV than Claudia and I.
B
It's exhausting.
A
It's exhausting. But like you, we've brought in the expert.
B
Yes.
A
You know, for the stories for the shows. Like for a time such as this island taking over. Like, Natalie is here to break it all down with us and we've never met before and I'm so excited to meet you.
B
I know. I feel like I met Claudia once at the Gypsy Rose event right in New York. And I think I was very largely pregnant.
A
Good times.
B
And yes, good times. And then me and her, like started dming and then randomly, like, I think you and I followed each other. And then you responded to me posting a picture of the boyfriend by Frieda Mc Bad. And you're like, put it down right now. And I was like, okay, thank you.
A
No, that like, my conspiracy theory is like, she didn't write that one. Like, it's not a Frida Rita. It's so bad when like she crushes.
B
Yeah.
A
And then I. So people pick up the boyfriend because it's like her next book and it has the title and the pictures and everything. And it's like written by someone else. It's awful.
B
It's so bad.
A
No, I started following you after your wedding. I thought you're at. Your wedding was so beautiful. And it was. And it was just like, it just. Everything about it seems so meaningful. And I just was. I had like, I follow Nick. Nick is like a longtime fot friend of Toast.
B
Yes.
A
Started out as foe of Toast. Has he told you that?
B
He was like, I think they hated me for. And I was like, think he was like, no, they hated me for a really long time.
A
When we started our show, that was when he was like in his villain era. And like, I guess we were in like as critically thinking as we are now. And we were just like, nick Rile's the worst. And the way that he took it was like such a champ. Like Tarek El Moussa just did a similar thing where it's like he. He laughed at, like, everything that we were saying. Like, oh, those girls hate me. Hahaha. And it just, like, really neutralizes us. And we're like, you've heard what we said and you're not talking shit back to us.
B
Wait, wait, are you not bothered?
A
Interesting. Like, maybe you're a nice person. So then we had him on the show, and it was. He was a doll, as I'm sure you've experienced as him being your husband.
B
Right, right.
A
And we've been, like, good industry friends ever since.
B
I came across a video of Claudia on Nick's show. It was someone trying to clown my man, which I will not stand for in any aspect, but it was the funniest video I've ever seen in my life.
A
Claudia was clowning on your man?
B
No, no, no. Some stranger posted a clip of Claudia on Nick's podcast. It was like, during COVID Okay, so it was like Patreon or something. I don't know what it was, but Nick was like, I'm just really grateful for, like, our friendship. And she was like, your friendship means the world to me. I haven't slept since. Like, she just went on this tangent about, like, how much Nick means to her.
A
Claudia did?
B
Yes.
A
Covid things.
B
Right. Like, very sarcastic. Very sarcastic. Oh, my God.
A
Wait, I don't know any of this.
B
Nick responds being like, oh, my God, that means so much to me. Like, I feel the same way.
A
Wait, I literally don't. Claudia's not even so sarcastic. I feel like maybe she was being earnest.
B
You think?
A
We have a lot of love for Nick.
B
Oh, okay.
A
Like, I don't know. I have to watch it. I have to watch it. This is news to me.
B
The person who posted was, like, the fact that Nick couldn't tell that she was being sarcastic. And then I watched it and I was like, she's being sarcastic. And then I reminded Nick and he was like, it was Covid. Everyone thought we were losing everybody. I was right.
A
Like, we were all feeling, like, mushy and, like, men.
B
Sorry. I was grateful for a friend.
A
It was a low time.
B
Sorry.
A
That's really funny. So now it's so full circle that you're here and, like, you have. So I want to hear how you and Nick met, but you have, like, completely, like, become a part of the Vial Files. Like, you're queen of the Vile Files. You guys do a show every day, right? Every weekday?
B
Yes, yes. Monday, Wednesday, Friday. No. I don't know. Cool.
A
Yeah, check out that.
B
Yeah, no, no, he does Ask Nick. Monday we do reality recap. Tuesday, going deeper. Wednesday, reality recap Thursday. And then Friday is like Patreon.
A
Oh, love Patreon.
B
Yes, Love Patreon. Yes, Patreon. Strong.
A
And you guys like are the go to stop for reality TV stars, whether.
B
You like it or not.
A
For sure I like it. I feel like it's like perfect. I don't know if I feel like he sort of fell into this role by accident and then like everyone's like, well, this is great.
B
It definitely works for him because he's like been on. I feel like it would be so much weirder if he was like this 44 year old man, like has knows nothing about reality TV and is just like talking about all these young people on tv. But like he was on so many seasons of Bachelor, he did Special Forces. Like he's knows how the production side works.
A
Yeah.
B
Can talk about all of it. So I do think he's really good at it.
A
I think so too. And he's gotten both edits. So like when you guys do have a villain on, I feel like he is gracious, gives grace and hears people out, which is always interesting because people are more than just like a one dimensional character you see on tv.
B
Right? And we usually will like, still we have like a different like did you watch, you watch Valley?
A
Yeah.
B
Janet, like, hey, Janet, do you hate. Met her in person. We recorded with her. Lovely in person.
A
So love, I was going to ask you about this because we go through this from time to time, but we don't have nearly as many guests as you do. Is like saying your actual thoughts when you're recapping a show. Like, obviously you're feeling someone more than another person. You have to like put some people down. But like that's part of the job. And like, but then you meet them or you see them out or they come on your show and it's like, how do you have interesting takes while not like offending people to the point that they don't want to come on your show.
B
It is hard. We do have a lot of people who like will be like, you've talked so much shit about me. Like, absolutely not.
A
But then we have also weird having someone, even if they said we'll come on. Do you feel weird like talking to someone who you've talked so much? Like, there are people that I know we could never have.
B
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Like, I'm like, by the way, I did call you like a thirsty piece of shit. So. But, like, stand by it. It was that one episode. It was the edit.
A
Yeah.
B
You know?
A
Yeah.
B
I think we preface everything by being like, we are talking about a character on a tv. We realize there's an edit. Like, we don't know this person. Maybe one day we'll meet him and we'll have a different opinion. But, like, right now, this is what we think of what we're seeing on 45 minutes.
A
So when you met Janet and she was lovely, did it change your opinion of her on the show?
B
No, because she still acted awful. And so we were just like, janet, we know you can be great. Why are you being this?
A
So the way I feel about Janet is like, they're trying to make me hate Janet, and it's just not landing. However.
B
Really?
A
Yeah. Like, I. They're like, Janet's so manipulative. And the thing about Janet is that she's a little more cool than Kristen Doty, who, like, is so transparent. She's like, well, you said this, so I'm gonna say that. And Janet, like, hides it better. So if she is very manipulative, she's just doing a good job of concealing it. So I'm like, I don't think she's being that way. But now she's going up against me and Danny, who are the pjoms of the Valley. And I just will never see a war. And for sure, they, like, put a nice glossy sheen over everything. And I'm sure they have their issues. It would be weird if they didn't. But I'm not gonna, like, knock her for, like, not wanting to, like, air her dirty laundry on television. 100.
B
Like, maybe they're not built for reality TV and, like, that's a compliment.
A
But, like, I feel like for every Jackson Britney who literally give us information we don't want to know, like, I literally know the dollar and cent amount of their mortgage payments. I need a NIA and Danny who are like, listen, this is a good gig for us if. If as long as you'll have us. But, like, we're not going to ruin our relationship and our family for a television show.
B
No, I respect it.
A
I think that's how, like, most people would feel.
B
Yeah. And I feel like Janet just pokes at that because she's never opened up the door to her.
A
Yeah.
B
Like, and we. I asked her about that. She was like, no. We argued about when someone came over and I was cooking for everyone. I'm like, girl, yeah, that is not the same.
A
So I. I fear for my feelings towards Janet, now that she's come for Nandi.
B
Yeah. And Jason.
A
And Jason. Who's Jason?
B
Jason is her husband, Mr. Janet. Mr. Weenie of the year.
A
Names on this show are. So we have Jax, Jesse, and Jason. Jason and Jesse. I'm always calling them the wrong name. And then I was watching, I got caught up this weekend. They start talking about Jared. They said they started talking about someone named Jared. There was like a fight offline about Jared. I'm like, okay, someone has to change the name. I don't know who Jared is. Okay. And I don't want to know who Jared is.
B
Have you seen the video of Aaron, Michelle's boyfriend, throwing the ball?
A
No.
B
Oh, my God. It's the worst video I've ever seen in my entire life. I have to show it to you.
A
Like, he's just throwing it.
B
He's in the backyard. It was like, I think the most recent episode.
A
Oh, okay.
B
And they're like having a conversation in the backyard. And yeah.
A
When she's talking about how, like, Isabella loves his house.
B
Yes. And she wants to move in air in the valley. Throwing ball.
A
I feel like maybe I did see this on.
B
They're like, it was the cringiest.
A
Okay, so he threw the ball. I'm not on Tick tock. So, like, I don't see, like.
B
Why did he throw it like that?
A
I'm sorry.
B
Why did he throw your. His backyard is like a 4x4.
A
No. And he's like, slugging it.
B
No. He's like, this is like the Down Home derby. What is he doing?
A
That's really funny. Oh, my God. People can't breathe. Like, that's hysterical. So we have a lot to talk about today, reality TV wise. But how do you, like, structure your life so that you can watch all this television and also, like, just be a present human being in the world and a mother.
B
Yes.
A
And a wife and a friend.
B
I lack in a lot of other areas. For sure. We crush it all. Like, weekends, we're able to luckily, like, get screeners for something. So we're not, like.
A
For Love Island.
B
Do you. No.
A
Okay.
B
No.
A
So that we just started getting screeners for Bravo shows. Yeah. Which has really helped for, like, being able to do this job and, like, keep up with recaps.
B
I do like, that Love island is late because it allows me to, like, do the bedtime routine, get her asleep and like, okay, now it's 10 o' clock at night. We can sit down and watch the violin.
A
Yeah. Yeah. So we both watched last night's episode, which wasn't like, so crazy because I'm more started. So, like, we'll recap that at the end. And then what else is going on with you? I feel like you and Nick are just like the darlings of tv. He's doing the Salt Lake. Why do I always. Sex Lives Mormon Wives reunion.
B
Yes, the Sex Lives Mormon Wives Reunion. Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
A
Did you go to that?
B
I did not. I did not. But he. Yeah, he's hosting the reunion, and I think it's gonna be insane. July 1 is when it comes out. He's like, we've built friendships with a lot of these women, and so that.
A
You guys are the go to stop for the Mormon Wives.
B
We love our Mormon wives.
A
Yeah, they're great.
B
They're really great. They give. And I think it's honestly because they are so Mormon that they're like, we have to tell you the truth. Like, I can't lie to you. So they're like, you're ugly. You know, I can't lie. It's against my religion.
A
No, it's so true. That show has been such a breath of fresh air because do you ever feel, like, fatigued by reality tv?
B
Like, yes.
A
Formulaic. And everyone. Like, some of the shows have gotten to a place that are, like, not good. And then you're still expected to watch it, even though if you were just a passive consumer would have turned it off.
B
Right, right. I mean, especially the Valley. The Valley is so dark, and it's, like, really hard for me to keep watching, but I'm like. I push through. And then we've started Next Gen. You did.
A
Wow. You've taken that on.
B
Yeah, unfortunately.
A
How's that going?
B
Not good. Not good at all. We watched it on 2.22. 2.0 speed.
A
Oh, my God. That's. Oh, that's another hat. That's really funny. And so what will you do if, like, it's not worth your time? Like, do you feel like you could stop watching a show or you feel.
B
Yeah, we stopped watching New York for Housewives of New York because we're like, this is awful. Like, this is so bad. I don't know what's happening. We stopped after the, like, pregnancy prank of last season. We stopped that. We. I think we're probably on our road to stopping Next Gen. We barely talk about it because it's just, like, nothing.
A
Yeah.
B
I mean, these people.
A
Yeah.
B
But no.
A
I mean, like, no one Love Island's but gonna, like, no Love island taking over.
B
Truly.
A
It really is. In a positive and negative way. You Had Bella on.
B
Yes. Baldasha, Beldasha.
A
Have you had anyone else from.
B
We had Charlie.
A
Charlie, Jalen. Oh, my gosh. Like, my heart is just goes out to Charlie. But then Jalen came along, so I, like, had to suppress and, like, I forgot about how much I miss and love Charlie. How was Charlie?
B
Oh, my God, he's such a doll. And he, like. Have you seen Peaky Blinders?
A
No.
B
Oh, my God. He's from, like, Birmingham, where. That's, like, where. Peaky Blinders. So he has this accent of all of these hot Peaky Blinders. It's Cillian. Cillian Murphy. Is that his last.
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
B
Yes. He's. He's in it. I mean, he just. He's. He's so sweet.
A
He deserves better.
B
He did, and he was like, I fast forward through all of Hannah's parts.
A
Do you think he's waiting? Like, do you think that now that she's home, they're gonna get together? Really? How could they? Like, we all saw the spit start.
B
I know. And he was saying how, like, his ex lived in the States, and he was like, it didn' I was like, well, Charlie's better. He deserves so much better. Honestly. He should be our next bachelor.
A
Oh, he should be. I wish there was, like, more crossover. And that's something. A theme that's coming up in a lot of, like, this shows that I'm doing this month because I'm talking to, like, a lot of reality TV people who are like, they're great reality TV stars. We need them back on our screens instead of, like, putting on these untested people, like, always recasting new randos. Like, let's go into the archives.
B
They know what they're doing. They'll give us reality tv, like, next gen. They're not giving us anything because they're just, like, kid. They're just like Nepo babies. Like, they don't know how to actually start drama. They're, like, starting drama because a girl didn't wash her hands. And it's like, oh, three episodes actually talking about the girl doesn't wash her hands.
A
Oh, that's, like, really embarrassing. It's really hard. Even, like, Summer House. Like, both Tyler C. Was here and Juliet Porter, and they both said that they want to do Summer House. Like, that would be really good, right?
B
Really good. I think, obviously, Paige is gone. I think Sierra should also go. I think Amanda should also go. And I think Lindsay is sweet popping in back and forth.
A
Like, as a mentor to my house.
B
I don't see Sierra, like, making out with a housemate and, like, hooking up in her bed. I don't see it. And that's what I want to see.
A
Yeah.
B
You know.
A
No, I agree. Which is why it was shocking that Lexi didn't come back. What do you know about that? Like, do you think she chose to not come back or Bravo chose.
B
I think it was. I think they probably had a meeting, and she was like, so. And they were like, so. And she was like, all right. Like, it's a. You know, like, mutual. I don't think she was ever going to be back in that house with Jesse ever again.
A
I think they hate each other, but that's good television. I know, but she came on the toast at the end of May, and she seemed down for season two. Like, she had, like. You know, she was ready and, like, prepared and, like, healed and, like, maybe I misread the situation.
B
Do you think they chose Jesse over Lexi?
A
I think so, but I don't know why they wouldn't choose them both. Like, that's interesting tv. It's like Jersey Shore, you know, where people. I mean, it's makeup and breakup.
B
It's like west and Sierra last season, and he still came back, except that.
A
That didn't get good because she, like, refused to engage with him, which is, like, not really gonna work on our televisions.
B
You do live in the same house.
A
I do feel like Lexi would have, like, met someone. Gone out. You know what I mean? Like, we could have developed from there.
B
I do also think maybe she's just dating so up that she's like, I don't need the, like, locals of Montauk.
A
Yeah.
B
You know.
A
Oh. Because. Yeah. With all her. Her ex.
B
I mean, like. Yeah.
A
Yeah.
B
You know, she's on the road up.
A
Words I understand. But I don't know. I think it was good for her. That one really surprises me. Like, I can't wrap my head around it because I feel like they let her go.
B
Yeah. I do feel like they need a full reboot. Reboot and just re.
A
And that's, like, everything. But do you trust them to do it? Look at Rooney.
B
No, I don't. Honestly. There hasn't been a very successful reboot.
A
No. Except for O.C. was going, like. It was sort of, like, on its way out. And then they, like, brought back. They went into the archives. That's what I'm saying.
B
They brought back Tamra, and then they brought back what's her name, who's back this season, and Gretchen. Watch.
A
But it sounds good. Oh, Gretchen. Good times.
B
I don't know.
A
Good times. Do you watch all the Housewives? Are you watching Miami?
B
Majority of them. We started Miami. It's good, apparently. I think we're like, two episodes in maybe.
A
And you. If you ever, like, miss a season, do you feel like you have to get all the way caught up or do you just, like, jump in?
B
No, we'll probably just jump in.
A
That's good.
B
If it's like. I mean, unless it's, like, really talked about, like, Love island last season, we. We weren't talking about it, and then it was everywhere, and so we binged 50 episodes, you know, over a week.
A
No, that was good. We didn't do it. And it was. It was a. The wrong.
B
Did you watch it? You just didn't talk about. You didn't watch it?
A
Oh, no. If I watch something, I have to talk about it. Like, that's, like, my favorite part of having a podcast. Like, when we were off for a week in May and I was watching TV because I had a. A procedure, and I was like, oh, my God. I have nowhere to say. Like, I'm bursting. Like, I'm seriously bursting. And, like, if even with, like, Love island and all the frustration I'm feeling right now, like, if I didn't have a vessel.
B
Yeah.
A
To channel it into, like, I don't know how. I don't know how lay people. I really don't.
B
I think they just post tiktoks.
A
Yeah, that's true.
B
That's kind of what everyone's doing. It's not as fun.
A
No, this is. This is nice. I need to, like, talk throughout my feelings, and I have the perfect person here to do that. So we're gonna get into the stories, and then we'll circle back to some tv. And. Yeah, you're gonna help me break down the fast five.

Yay. Our first story is some Taylor and Travis news as they continue their summer of love. They are actually in Nashville right now for George Kittle's tight end university training camp kickoff. So George Kittle does something called tight end university, where a lot of tight ends come together.
B
Do you feel like Taylor wants to be there or do you feel like she's just being supportive?
A
I feel like of all the things that she has to go to for Travis, like, this is not the worst one because it's like, all the tight ends and it's like, George Travis and another tight end. Sorry to this man. I don't. Greg Olson, they host this, like. And this, like, moment for tight ends to come together in Nashville where she's like, she. At least she could. They could stay at her house. And, you know, it's like, very, like, NFL glamorous. Like, I don't feel like it's, like, the boring parts of the NFL. They went to Jason Aldean's bar last night, which is kind of surprising.
B
They're hitting Broadway.
A
They hit Broadway.
B
Wait, that's so interesting, right? I wish. I need to see a video of them walking down Broadway. And, like, how was that? You know, like, how they were probably.
A
Just like, cab to curb.
B
Yeah.
A
And maybe TEU's event last night was at Jason Aldean's bar.
B
Yeah. You think?
A
I think. I don't think Taylor walked into Jason Aldean's bar, like, just for, like, just. Cause she's like, this is a spot.
B
To, like, see the local singing of.
A
On stage singing Taylor Swift. So I think it was. I'm just piecing together that it was hosted there. She's, like, taking pictures with Claire Kittle and, like, some of the other Wags, I think. Yeah. And, like, being a part of the community and I think as far as community events go, like, this isn't a bad one.
B
No, no, no. This isn't a bad one. I thought they were, like, on the field, like, running drills, so it doesn't seem like that's the case.
A
Maybe we'll be doing that today. But she's going to, like, the after parties.
B
Right, Right, right. She is doing the glamorous stuff. Do you feel like her and like, the Wags get along?
A
I think so. I feel like she really makes an effort to get along with everyone she crosses paths with, especially, like, if they're important to her job and his life. Like, I feel like she leads with kindness.
B
What did you think of the photo of his back. Of the hair. Yeah.
A
Like, I just, like, it was very human, you know, and I.
B
Human or like, animal?
A
Like, to me, like, it's a human moment.
B
Yes.
A
You know, so, like. And I don't need a man, like, a big man like that to, like, I don't know, shave his back.
B
No, I definitely don't need him waxed.
A
So there you go. It's an imperfect, hairy back.
B
Yeah. Yeah. I find that so interesting that she went from Jo to this big, hairy, imperfect back. Imperfect back. Yeah.
A
Yeah. And I.
B
There's no way Joe had any strands of hair on his back.
A
No, no. Maybe, like, a peach fuzz.
B
Maybe a peach fuzz. And it was blonde.
A
Yeah, for sure. So I wonder, like, now if she ever misses those days. I don't think so.
B
I don't think so. She probably, like.
A
I think she likes a manly man now.
B
Moisturizes and brushes it out.
A
Yeah. You know, you think they're the types, like, Poppy Chucky.
B
Oh, a hundred percent.
A
Are you guys the type to do that?
B
Absolutely. I mean, Nick is like, oh, can I get that? And I'm like, you haven't washed your hands in days. Like, I don't want you to come near me.
A
Oh, my God. No. Claudia and Ben are like that. Like, all up in there having each other's pimples. Yeah. That's like, their favorite thing.
B
It's awful.
A
If my husband ever came at me like this, I would break his face.
B
No. I'm so scared of that. You're gonna make it infected.
A
Yeah, for sure. I don't even, like, pop my own pimples. Like, the best way to heal them is just to, like, ride them.
B
You let them sit. You put a pimple patch on it, and you let them sit.
A
Right. Like, I'm not a pimple popper, let alone someone else's. Are you people crazy?
B
Especially someone else who hasn't washed their hands.
A
Yeah, no. Travis Kelce definitely, like, wants to pop pimples, for sure.
B
I feel like Taylor might be a little quirky like that, too.
A
Yeah. I feel like. And it wouldn't work if they weren't on the same page about that.
B
Like, I don't think they're the type that fart around each other, but I do think they are.
A
Like, you think he could hold it in?
B
I think he's the type that, like, blames it on, like, the cat sort of thing. You know?
A
He, like, loves the cat. Always has one on his lap.
B
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. She's like, you can put the cat Down. She's like, no, I'm eight. I ate dairy today. I want to hold her.
A
She's like, I think the cat is sick.
B
We need to take the cat to the vet immediately. She hasn't stopped shitting.
A
I don't feel like he can hold in his farts. Like, I feel like he lets him rip.
B
Like, he's, like, proud of him.
A
Yeah, that's my nightmare, for sure. It's my nightmare of a man, for sure. Proud of them. Did you hear that one?
B
I would rather go myself, honestly. That's awful.
A
But I don't think she's, like, Like. No, she's not classy. What? There's, like, a movie where, like, the guy farts or someone farts, and then, like, the girl farts, like, even bigger. And that's like.
B
Yeah, no, no, she would never. No, she would absolutely never. Do you.
A
No, no, no.
B
Never.
A
Yeah. It's not even, like, a level of, like, closeness that we need to achieve. Like, we're just not.
B
But also, sometimes you don't even need to be that close.
A
Right. You know, and it, like, my husband's not as precious about it as I am, but I am very precious about it.
B
Right. And I am as well. Like, I wouldn't. I would absolutely never. You know, And Nick is like. And I'm so grateful for the way that he handles himself is always like, what?
A
Yeah. Uh. Oh, River.
B
You know, he'll, like, go out to the backyard and, like, shut the door behind him.
A
Oh, that's nice.
B
Really polite with it. Honestly. It's so sweet and romantic.
A
That's really nice. I meant to ask you, do you. You know Kelly Clarkson's daughter is River Rose as well?
B
I found that out. I had 100 people DM me that.
A
I'm sure. Did people buy you the book?
B
No.
A
She wrote a children's book, and it's called River Rose and the Magical Lullaby. And it's a great book.
B
No.
A
Oh, my God. I can't believe no one bought that for you. I was, like, thinking I would get you one, but, like, I figured you.
B
Probably have 10 copies. No one thought of me. No. People are disgusting. Literally, no one wants out of me. My sister did create. You know, how you can, like, make a book with, like, the name in it? My sister did do that with. When I, like, find out with, like, her ultrasound. Her 3D ultrasound photo in the front. So it's honestly a little scary. I think I open it and remember.
A
We need to go into recap.
B
We need an update.
A
Yeah, I made one of those for Bruno. Like, Bruno's Wondrous Adventures, actually really cute. And it's a really good gift for, like someone who has a baby and a dog. But I think the company closed down because I tried to make one for Claudia. I think Romeo's Wondrous Adventures and they were out of business, but.
B
Have you read the River Roses Wonderland?
A
We read it all the time. It's like a. It's a good book. It's like certified good. You know, it's not like a piece of garbage book. Like, I'm sure you read so many.
B
Like, so many.
A
There's so many. Like, some books are like a joy to read.
B
Yeah.
A
They've got rhythm, they've got rhyme.
B
And she and river will turn the page for me and sometimes she skips a couple pages and I am like, thank God. Yeah, it's over with.
A
When Lauren Elizabeth was on the table, she stayed at my house and she was like, reading to my kids and they just have these like, long, like, superhero books that are like. She was like, I was. First word of every page.
B
No, I can't.
A
First word of every page. Yeah.
B
When they're too long, I can't. We read the first sentence and flip.
A
Yeah. No, but river roses. A good 100. I'll send you a copy.
B
Thank you.
A
Our next story is a bit of a wonderful update for women because the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders are breaking down their 400% salary increase. So DCC season two just dropped on Netflix. Season one was amazing, but it really shown a spotlight on the fact that the girls are underpaid. Like, they. It's a part time job. So the other. They also have other jobs, but like, the amount of work that goes into being a DCC and like the. Especially when you think about, like, what the men are getting paid to play football.
B
Right?
A
It was just obviously like the sexist, sexist, not fair. And now they're making it right. And I feel like they always made the argument, you know, like, it's an amazing platform and like, it's a networking thing and like, you know, you get all these other perks from being dcc and it's not even about the money, which is also true. But like, now they also have a Netflix show. And like, now the DCC brand is even bigger and it's like, okay, it's time to pay the girls. They remind me so much of Bring it on where it's like the cheerleaders are like winning everything and the football team sucks. Hey, you just lost. But my husband is A Cowboys fan, so we're a Cowboys family. And so I'm of dcc. Like, I'm obsessed with dc.
B
So excited.
A
They've given me, like, so much to look forward to over the years. Like, when we go to games and stuff. Like, I just love watching them. So then have them. Having their show on Netflix is just, like, even more.
B
Did your husband wants to show with you, or is he, like, not into the cheerleaders?
A
He didn't watch. I actually. We watched it last summer. I was with Claudia. So, like, we watched it, like, girly time. But I think he would like the show. Even though it's very girly. Yeah, but it's culture. I think he loves the fact that, like, they're bringing me in more because he wants me to be a bigger Cowboys fan. But I just. I can't stop clowning on them because they need to start winning.
B
No, they suck.
A
Like, why are they so bad? And he's like, they're America's team. Like, they're the richest team in the league. Like, I'm like, then why can't they play better?
B
Yeah, right. If you. If they have all of America behind them, you would think they would play better.
A
And they're worth, like, the most amount of money because, like, their brand, their branding is insane. Yeah.
B
That's crazy. Okay, so how much are the Dallas Cowboys getting paid?
A
So they were initially making, like, 15. 15 hourly, which now longtime team members will be making up to 75 per hour.
B
Making minimum wage.
A
Yeah. No. Like, I think last season, some of the girl, they. You make different based on how many years you're in the league. But, like, they were making, like, $20,000 a season. So, like, they were also, like, nurses and teachers and, like, working, like. And they were. And they have to wake up so early and they have to train, and they were just, like, doing so much, and it's just not fair. So it's an up to 400% increase, but it will depend, like, what games you're in and how many appearances you do and how many hours and how many years.
B
So have they all quit their nursing jobs and their teaching jobs now?
A
I feel like hopefully no, because it's like a short moment in time. Like, probably most people, max, are on the team for four years, and then you go back to work full time. So it's like, like, amazing if you can, like, maximize that time while also, like, keeping your career on track.
B
It's honestly, that's kind of up that men can play football for so long and then just like, get traded when they're done. Like, why can't the Dallas Cowboy Shielders get traded to, like, I think another cheering team?
A
I think when, like some of them, if you, if you don't make the team after a certain amount of time and you still want to dance, like, you could go to another team. But this is like, they have the highest bar, like standards for cheerleaders.
B
You don't want to go down.
A
But then also it's just like, you know the plight of being a woman. Like, if you plan on being a, like if you want to have a baby, like, those kicks aren't going so high anymore.
B
Those kicks are not going high anymore. When was the last time you kicked?
A
Oh, when was the last time I kicked? I genuinely can't remember.
B
I can't remember.
A
No, no. And I don't think I should be kicking.
B
I would be so scared to kick. Yeah, I would be very nervous to kick.
A
Yeah.
B
I would hurt something if I kicked.
A
Yeah, it hurts even thinking about it.
B
It is hurting me to think about that carriage. Yeah.
A
So I'm happy for the girls. And also from this show, like, a lot of them became influencers and then I'm sure from this season we'll get new breakout influencers, money, etc, which they deserve.
B
I need more people to want to buy things from.
A
Oh, you do? Yeah.
B
The ones that I'm, I'm, I'm losing interest.
A
The ones that you follow.
B
Yeah, I'm just like, you're not giving me really what I want anymore, you know?
A
Can you describe the, the type of person you're talking about?
B
Like the OGs, maybe? The OGs who maybe have lost sight of OG NESS and maybe they, you know, and hopefully I don't turn to this person, but the person who's like linking all of like the dupes and the like, you know, like Amazon lookalikes. And then they're like, oh, here's my outfit. Gucci. Gucci, Gucci, Gucci, Gucci Prada. And you're like, well, that's crazy. Like right now, like, where, where do I get that? That's not $700 sweater.
A
But then they'll give you the jute.
B
They don't. They don't give you the jute. No, they were like strictly shopping Amazon and then they made so much money that now they're like, like only wear designer and now they only post and link their designer and it's like, well, you've lost me.
A
Yeah, no, they need to like do the mid thing a little bit.
B
Yeah, you need to, like, be a little bit more relatable.
A
Interesting. I guess that's, like, just part of the life cycle of an influencer. Like, you start out small, and then, like, you make money and you get bigger, and so you, like, buy more expensive things, and you sort of lose the people that were, like, so attracted to you in the first place.
B
Yeah.
A
You lose that relatability.
B
You lose it.
A
Which is why influencers who never claim to be relatable kind of crush it, really.
B
They're like, I actually don't want to be.
A
Like, I never said that.
B
I never said that. I know.
A
But, like, they. They really do have a lot of longevity because, like, nothing's changed, truly.
B
It's like, no, you've always been this way. Oh, no. Perfect.
A
I feel like so many of the people I follow, like, I feel like the people that I follow, it's like, it takes a lot for me to follow a new person these days. And so, like, when I do, I'm like, I remember where I was. Your wedding.
B
Yes. No. I love that. Thank you.
A
I feel like I follow, like, a lot of, like, the Bachelor OGs, which makes me wonder. Did you watch the Bachelor season that your husband was on?
B
No, I did not. I did not watch the Bachelor at all. I watched. So I think I started with Hannah Brown because she was from Alabama.
A
Yeah.
B
And I'm from Alabama. And so I was like, oh, my God, this is. Who came first, Hannah Brown or Pilot Pete.
A
Hannah Brown. She came. Hannah was from Colton.
B
Okay.
A
Am I making that up?
B
No, I think that's right.
A
Hannah was from Colton, and then Pete was from Hannah.
B
Okay. Yeah. So I don't think I watched Hannah's, but I, like, followed Hannah on Instagram, and I was, like, keeping up with what she was doing. And then Maddy Pruitt. We, like, went to high school together, like, knew each other growing up, and so I watched her on Pilot Pete season, but I'd never watched any of Nick's. And I'm so excited for the day that river is like, dad, what is this? And she wants to start watching him on television. His season.
A
His Bachelor season was really good. He had, like, the girls that, like, from his season, I feel like are the girls I associate with the Bachelor, but also because they are my age, I feel like, like, are you the same age as Hannah Brown? It's funny. You, like, wind up watching in your bracket.
B
Yeah.
A
Like, I'm with the 1992 girls. You know, like, Raven. She's a mix.
B
Yes.
A
Amanda Stanton.
B
Yes.
A
Those are my OGs.
B
Yes.
A
But I feel like you're part of, like, the newer wave. Like, Victoria Fuller is your friend.
B
Yes, she is my friend.
A
We love her here. Yes. Oh, my God. We think she's, like, the most beautiful person. She is the most beautiful person, I always say. I think she looks like Claudia.
B
She does.
A
I just, like, she always has, like, an interesting. I just, like, I want the world for her, and she's gonna get it.
B
I know. I really want her with, like. I want her with a Travis Kelce. You know? Like, I see that for her, but.
A
It didn't work out with Will.
B
It did not work out with Will. Yeah, I think.
A
I think she had fun while it lasted.
B
I think she had fun while it lasted. I think it was more of like, he, you know, maybe like, got in his head a little bit and couldn't, like, prioritize her because he wasn't playing so well, you know?
A
They love the woman.
B
Yeah. They love to blame.
A
She got Jessica Simpson's fault.
B
She got Jessica Simpson 100. 100%. So I think it was like, oh, this isn't, like, you know, I think she needs to be with, like, someone good.
A
Oh, that would be nice.
B
Yeah. Like a Travis Kelsey.
A
I would love that. Maybe she'll go to some TU events. Send her to Aldi's.
B
Oh, my gosh. She should go to Aldi. I wonder if they let her in for sure.
A
Look at that face card.
B
No, no, no.
A
That's so true. Never denied, right?
B
Never denied. Ding.
A
Oh, that is so funny. So those are your people. How did you meet Nick?
B
I slid into his DMs. So because I followed Hannah Brown and Madison Pruitt, I feel like the algorithm was working and he was on my Explore page, like, a photo he had posted. And it's so funny, because the photo he posted is just, like, him standing what now I know to be the Whole Foods parking lot. And now that I know the story of it, it goes a little something like this. So he would frequent the Venice Whole Foods Foods, and, you know, he lived alone, so he would go there, like, every day to buy, you know, what he's having for supper. And there was a massage therapist in the Whole Foods in Venice who would do, like, chair massages.
A
In Whole Foods.
B
In Whole Foods. In, like, the soap section.
A
That's crazy.
B
It's crazy.
A
Okay.
B
I think he says her name is Maria.
A
Okay.
B
And he would get a chair massage every single time he'd go to the Whole Foods to grocery shop. And he was like, you know, they just kept telling you like, you gotta post every day on Instagram. You gotta post, you gotta post. That's how you, like, keep everyone entertained. And so he was like, maria, after this massage, do you mind taking a photo of me in the parking lot? And she was like, sure. So she followed him, left her station, followed him to the parking lot, and took his Instagram pic. And that's the photo that I saw on my Explore page that I DM'd.
A
That compelled you to reach out to me?
B
That compelled me to dm.
A
And had you known who he was or was just like, that photo was just so compelling.
B
No, that photo was so compelling. She did a really great job.
A
He should hire her.
B
Literally, I don't know what she's doing since COVID I really wish her the best, and I do hope that we can find.
A
She needs to be head of social media for Bio Incorporated.
B
She really does.
A
That's so cute. How did he see her dm? Like, I feel like he was a.
B
Hot commodity, I guess, you know, avid. He's. He was an avid checker. Maybe. I don't know. Maybe he just, like. Maybe he was a happenstance, you know, he happened to check, I happened to send.
A
So what did you say?
B
It was groundbreaking. I don't know if you are ready.
A
I'm ready.
B
You're unreal.
A
Wow, that's really cute.
B
Thank you. I honestly was like, this guy's hot. I'm gonna send this. And then I went about my day and did not think twice about it. And the next time I got back on Instagram, I was like, oh, my God. He's responded, oh, my God, I forgot about this.
A
Hello. And he asked you out?
B
He.
A
We.
B
While we chatted for like a couple days, and then we started, like, FaceTiming. I was living in Georgia at the time, in Savannah, and he was in la. And so he was like, I'm gonna be in New York in a couple weeks. And I was like, that's so crazy. Same. I'm also gonna be in New York.
A
Were you gonna be in New York?
B
No, not at all. And I booked a ticket immediately. And then I was like, oh, I'm, like, seeing some friends. And then I actually wasn't seeing friends. And I was like, hey, my friends are busy. I have nowhere to stay, so I'm just gonna, like, get a hotel somewhere, you know, for like the weekend. And he was like, why don't you just stay with me? And I was like, wow, okay, sure. So we spent the weekend together. And then we were like, okay, this was so fun. Like, see you never. And I was like, let me know if you're ever back on the, you know, east coast again. And then like a couple days went by and he was like, do you want to come out to LA? And then we like spent 10 months going back and forth and I was like, I really want to date you. And he was like, no, it's not going to happen. Really Turned me down so many times.
A
How long were you dating? Like unofficially, like 10 months. Wow.
B
Yeah.
A
What did he say for why he didn't want to?
B
Because the age gap. He was like, I don't know if we're on the same path of life.
A
Like, cuz. How old were you when you guys met?
B
21.
A
Wow.
B
He was 30, like 7, I think. Okay, so.
A
But he didn't know that you're an old soul.
B
He didn't know.
A
Yeah.
B
He had no idea that you were.
A
Just like a regular.
B
He thought I was just like a party girl. He had no idea that I'm like, well, mature beyond my age.
A
You are. I think that's what everybody says about you. That's like the vibe that you exude. You were saying how you, you and Nick have an age happen. I'm like, oh, right. I know that somewhere in my brain, but it doesn't feel that way because you feel very mature for your age. And he seems like a younger guy.
B
Yeah, I think I, like, survived a lot in my life and I, like, I lived on my own at 15. I, like, grew up really, really fast and I feel like that. So by the time I got 21, I was like, no, I'm actually, like, done partying. I'm done. Like, I don't want to live that life anymore. I'm ready to settle down. I want children. Like, I want, want this. I want, like a stable relationship. And he was, you know, 37.
A
Did he want those things?
B
He wanted children. He didn't. He said he never wanted to get married.
A
Okay, red flag, red flag.
B
I was like, okay, well, it's not gonna work for sure, but if you want kids, you don't get married. That's not how this day and age works. Okay. Do you want to be canceled? So we just had a baby before our wedding.
A
Right?
B
Right, right.
A
Oh, I guess he got a little bit. He got a kid.
B
He compromised.
A
He got another kid before he got married.
B
Compromised. Exactly. So, yeah. And then finally I was like, I can't do this anymore. Like, I have too many feelings involved and I'm gonna, like, I was. We were both seeing other people. And we were both, like, very honest about that, which I think helped our relationship because we're, you know, he'd, like, FaceTime me, and I'm getting ready for a date. And he's like, what are you doing? And I think most women would probably be like, oh, nothing, going out with the girls because they don't want to, like, hurt their feelings or something. And I was like, oh, I'm going on a date. You don't want to date me? I'm gonna keep dating.
A
Yeah.
B
And so then finally I was like, I don't want to do this anymore. Like, I'm gonna get my feelings hurt. And he was like, okay. And then I didn't talk to him, and he was like, actually, I'm in love with you. And I was like, thank you. Thank God. Thank God. And he was like, and I just bought a house. Do you wanna move in with me? And I was like, I'm on the way.
A
So that's when you moved to la?
B
Yeah.
A
And then how much later until you got pregnant?
B
So we got engaged, like, maybe three years later. And then I got pregnant, like, six months after we got engaged.
A
Nice.
B
Yeah. Yeah.
A
Crushed it. You changed him. They say you can't do it. By the way, don't get any ideas from Natalie. They're the exception.
B
Literally does not work. Honestly, most of the time. Please. I tried so many other fixers and I never worked.
A
That is hysterical. How did you feel about his job? Like, did you ever see yourself going into, like, what he was doing in the way that you have.
B
No. So I was full time, and I was a surgical technologist, so I was, like, assisting surgeons in the operating room. I loved it. I had so much fun doing it it. And I kept doing it up until I got pregnant. I was in my first trimester and I was very, very sick. And I was like, no, actually, the, like, looking at this blood is making me actually have to vomit. Like, I have to scrub out and puke. Like, I cannot do this.
A
Yeah.
B
And so I was, like, breaking sterility a lot because I kept having to leave. And then surgeries were, like, taking longer because I was like. And my doctor was like, this isn't going to work. Like, we need to figure something out. So I took some time off. And then when I took that time off, Nick was like, well, why don't you just, like, come on the pod for a moment? And so I did. And then we just like, like.
A
And that's another one where it's like, working with your husband is usually not gonna work for you guys. It does work for you. Don't get any ideas.
B
Yeah, honestly, I'm not.
A
I should leave because when I think about like a. A couple that, like, one of them has a podcast or whatever, and then the other one's gonna like, come on and, like, they're gonna do it together. Like, I would just think objectively, like, that's a bad idea.
B
Right.
A
But it's so like, you guys are. You were made for it and you, like, really. I feel like you really balance out like, his shtick with like, just like a female perspective.
B
Yes.
A
And it really, really works.
B
Yeah, I think he's able to bring. It's always like, he's bad cop, I'm good cop. You know, like, he's able to bring the, like, really good, hard hitting questions. Then I'm there to be like, oh, my God. But, like, love you, you know, like, and I do love you. We had Sherry Papini on and I was honestly, Sherry Papini hoax, kidnapper, kidnapped. You know, Nick was like, I don't believe you, you know, kind of the whole time. And I was like, and you are so pretty. I just have to say. And I. I don't think you did it. You did do it. But like, I get so nervous sitting beside people being mean to, like, I can't.
A
Yeah.
B
You know, so I'm just always good cop. And I think it does work for us.
A
It does really work. But again, don't try this.
B
Awful.
A
Well, now it is time for our next story, which is some national anthem news because Kristin Chenwith is getting slammed for what people are saying was a bad national anthem performance during the NBA finals, which also, like, it was the NBA finals. I guess in hindsight, like, my husband did have some friends over. He said they were watching the game.
B
I think it was a big deal.
A
And I think that was the finals. Except like, the Oklahoma City Thunder, like, they're not making a big deal about their win. I feel like I had to seek out who won.
B
Right.
A
Whereas usually it's like flooding. It's everywhere, I guess. I don't. Maybe I don't follow that many Thunder fans.
B
Yeah. But Chris, I didn't know any.
A
Any.
B
I didn't even know people listen.
A
Lived there in Oklahoma City. Yeah.
B
Yeah.
A
Kristin Chen would sang the national anthem and she did her thing. Like, she did her Broadway thing with.
B
It, which I hate.
A
Which you didn't like it. She's getting slammed. I was expecting it to be far worse because I'm looking for like, Fergie and Ingrid Andres.
B
Yes.
A
And it wasn't sonically bad. Like, she sounds like a party opera singer is just, like, not the vibe.
B
No. And honestly, I. We had Ingrid on our show a while back to talk about. She had, like.
A
Like, the flop.
B
The talk about the flop, and she recognizes it's such a flop. She was like, no, honestly, like, I got back and no one would talk to me. And I was like, how was that? She was, like, so hammered there. They were like, we'll talk about it tomorrow. And just like, I crashed. They were like, yeah, well, we'll just. You go to sleep and checked yourself injury up the next day. Yeah. Yeah. So she, you know, she has lived, she has learned, and thank God for that. And I do not like when they change the tune. I don't want you to change the tune of our songs. You know, like, and that. What I. That's what I feel like Kristin was doing, and I felt like it wasn't needed. I feel like she does have a beautiful voice.
A
Yeah.
B
And she was. It wasn't, like, off tune. No. Which I was thinking it was.
A
The notes were hit.
B
The notes were hit.
A
Yeah.
B
But the ending.
A
She got carried away with Kristen's self. But, like, you hired Kristin Chenoweth to do the national anthem. Kristin Chenoweth did the national anthem. Like, what did you expect? So I would say that this is more on, like, the talent recruiter than it is on Kristen. She's also, like, a local to Oklahoma City.
B
Okay.
A
They like to do that.
B
Yeah.
A
I just. I. I didn't think it was bad. And it doesn't deserve to be there with Fergie and Ingrid.
B
It doesn't.
A
It's in just a different category of, like. Well, she put her old Chris Dussussi into it.
B
Yeah.
A
And you didn't like that?
B
Yeah, I felt like maybe that's not the place to put the closest. Yeah. To put that into the national anthem. You know, it's like you wouldn't put that into the pledge of allegiance. You wouldn't. You know, like, these are just songs who have their tune. You wouldn't put it into Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars. You know, like, you don't change the tune of those songs. Songs.
A
Yeah. Yeah. So you don't like when people take it in a different direction?
B
No, I don't even like it when my husband changes the song when he's singing to River. I'm like, that's not how it goes. Oh, it's actually not. She doesn't like that. It's not how it Goes. He sent me a video of her where she's holding her. She's a very small, jelly cat bunny, and it's called baby bun bun. Okay. And he was calling it her rabbit, and I was like, you might as well call it a hare. Like, what the fuck? She doesn't know what a rabbit is.
A
She thinks it's a different thing. She's like, where's my rabbit?
B
No, she doesn't. It's baby bun bun, and you have to refer to it as baby bun bun.
A
Yeah.
B
She doesn't know rabbit.
A
We speak river.
B
We speak river in the south.
A
Yeah.
B
So that's kind of, you know, like, you can't. They won't understand. And I felt like I didn't really understand the national anthem when Kristen was singing because it was very much in her own way.
A
So who are some of your favorites that have done it? Because when I'm thinking about, like, the most recent ones at, like, the super bowl and stuff, like, did you like Chris Stapleton?
B
Loved.
A
Okay.
B
Loved. And Chris Hibblen cannot do any wrong.
A
Yeah, I agree.
B
You know, she can't.
A
Shut your mouth. Yeah.
B
Literally. I don't want to fucking talk to you. I'm not interested. He cannot do any wrong, and I think him and his beard should continue to sing every single national anthem.
A
Did you like Lady Gaga? She got a little crazy with it.
B
No, I didn't. I didn't. I don't. I just don't. We don't need that. You know, it's like, you can show your talent without being like, you know, like, you don't have to do that.
A
I understand. I think that's a fair assessment. I'll take a little bit of it.
B
Okay.
A
As long as it feels respectful to me.
B
So you loved Kristen.
A
No, I didn't love Kristen, but, like, I can recognize that she did the job that she was asked to do, which is Kristin Chenoweth sing the national anthem.
B
Yeah. And you asked for me.
A
Yeah. And you got me. Like, what did you think you were gonna get? So. And I do feel like the NBA, like, loves having a national anthem moment. And, like, good or bad, like, it's not a coincidence that every year at the finals, we're talking about the national anthem because we're certainly not talking about the game.
B
No, absolutely not.
A
We didn't even know it was happening.
B
Well, I wonder what the players think during. While they're standing there.
A
I feel like they feel a lot of pressure to not show anything on their face. Whether they like it or they don't. Like it. Because, like, they don't know how it's gonna play.
B
So true.
A
Yeah.
B
So true. They only care about what the fans think.
A
Yeah. So they're just, like, stoic, but then when they crack, that's when you know. With Fergie and with Ingrid. Well, our next story's little fashion news that dropped this morning because Kim Kardashian is. Is announcing her collaboration between Roberto Cavalli and Skims Swim. So in another high fashion collab for Skims and Kim, they are collaborating with Cavalli. Some pictures have dropped of what we can expect from the collection. Like lion one piece, lion muumu, lion bikini. Very Cavalli and very skims. I think this is, like, a plus.
B
No, truly. I think she continues to, like, partner with the right people. I think she's an incredible businesswoman, and I think she knows what she. What she's doing. Like her collab with North Face for the puffers. Like, she just is smart with it. And I do think this is a great collab. I personally will not be wearing a lion one piece.
A
Yeah.
B
Ever. So I won't be purchasing from this.
A
Drop, But I might. I want to see the rest of the stuff. I don't love. Like, I don't wear a lot of animal prints, but I feel like there might be other stuff that's more for me.
B
I feel like maybe that makes that would. That. That one piece would make my bush look more like a bush. You know what I'm saying? Like, it's actual. It's fur.
A
It is.
B
You're right.
A
I missed that. I wonder if that's on purpose. Like, it's right in the bush.
B
It's for. It's giving shadows, you know?
A
Yeah. I need to see more. More pictures.
B
Yeah.
A
Skims Cavalli. And it always is just shocking, like, how she gets these collabs. But I guess, like, when you really zoom out, it's like, well, skims is the name on everybody's lips. And these days, Cavalli isn't, though. It's like, a very storied brand, and it has great, like, name recognition. It's not at what it was.
B
I'm not going into a Cavalli store.
A
Right. So this is actually really great for Cavalli, honestly. Good for her. Would you wear it if I were skinny? Yeah. If I were skinny, yeah.
B
Interesting.
A
So. But because I'm not.
B
No. I have to tell you this story. So Nick booked me a massage. He was like, oh, let's get a massage at the house. Like, someone will come to the house. We would been like, traveling a ton or something. He was like, someone's gonna come to the house and give us a massage. I'm like, okay, cool, whatever. So he's like, why don't you go first? Like, great. She sets up in like our player room, which immediately vibes are immediately off. We have like link squad going off in the corner. And she's like, okay, so you can just get on top of the sheet. And I was like, on top of the sheet? That's. Why would I get on top of the sheet? I'm wearing a robe and like, little like, boy short underwear, you know, no bra, nothing. Because I'm getting a massage.
A
And you go under the sheet.
B
I'm being respectful, getting a massage.
A
And you're actually wearing like the maximum amount of clothing, which is underwear, literally.
B
She's like, get on top. And I was like, okay, I dropped my rove and I get on top. And she's like, so we're gonna start with the stretch. And I was like, I'm so sorry, the stretch. And she was like, yeah, the. So. Well, the lymphatic and stretching. And I was like, so this. This isn't a massage? She was like, no, this is the stretch lymphatic. And I was like, oh, okay. So she grabs my leg. I had not shaved. And I cannot tell you how long my bush almost attacked her face. And she's pulling my leg over and the way. Way that I am trying to not make eye contact with her. I've never been so uncomfortable in my life. And I. I can't. Like, the way that she was like, so what'd you do for dinner last night? And like, trying to have the most calm conversation while my literal bush is in her face was. I've never been more mad at my husband. I was like, how dare you tell.
A
Me that this is.
B
It's not a massage? He was like, oh, sorry, it was lymphatic.
A
You should have worn a sports bra.
B
This is sports pt. I'm like, I should have been in literal workout clothes. And I even said to her, like, should I put on a bra? And she was like, oh, you're fine.
A
No, that's insane.
B
No, I'm sorry. You had me naked in my kids playroom, like, leg up, stretching the cab out. Why would you do that? Like, why would you do that to me? And she. We. I haven't talked to her since.
A
And then what did Nick do for his same thing? And he thought he's getting like, workout.
B
Shorts, deep tissue, no he was like, no, I knew. Yeah.
A
He set you up.
B
No, he set me up. It was awful. It was the worst experience of my life.
A
That is seriously so awkward.
B
No, I have had dreams about it since.
A
More stressful than not getting a massage.
B
At all literally caused me way more stress.
A
I'm so sorry. He owes you a massage. Did he make up for it?
B
No, he did not. But we actually, we went. Where were we? We were in Vancouver for the last five weeks, and on all of our downtime, he was like, we should get a massage. So there were days where we got, like, two actual massages in one day.
A
Oh, nice.
B
So, yeah, he did.
A
Oh.
B
But I just. That brings. I bring that up because of the Robert Cavalli lion.
A
Very, like, bush sensitive.
B
Yes. Yes. And I do feel like we should normalize the bush. That's my personal opinion.
A
Yeah. No, I. I feel like as you get older, there are certain things where it's like. Oh, like, it's like nature.
B
That's why I should not be on Love Island.
A
Oh, my God. Love Island.
B
No, I should not be on Love island because they are in a swimsuit all day long and they're all perfectly waxed. Yeah, I'm not interested in that.
A
No. And they're seriously wearing, like, the craziest thongs. Like, they are. Soon they're going to show up with no, nothing on.
B
No bottom, nothing on.
A
It's wild. Well, our fifth and final story is a little more, I don't know, fashion news, because the photos for Ryan Murphy's new show, American Love Story, just dropped. It's about Carolyn Bassett, Kennedy and JFK Jr. Which is like, you know, everybody loves them and tragic love story. And the photos came out of the cast and crew. And, you know, there were some photos that were better than others, but there were a couple that. I don't think anybody wanted to say it, but it looks like shit.
B
No, it looks like JCPenney's like.
A
It does. It looks like JCPenney was inspired by Carolyn Bisseck head and now you can get the look for less.
B
Yes, exactly.
A
Because a couple of the photos that were, like, taken at, like, a shoot, not the ones on set, those are a little bit better when they're, like, in the country context of, like, the show. But Carolyn's look is off.
B
Awful.
A
Now her hair colorist, her real life hair colorist of Carolyn is breaking down what Ryan Murphy got wrong in the show. So, yeah, the hair color, she obviously is like a very blonde blonde. And they tried to recreate that, and it didn't hit. She said, I love Ryan Murphy. I mean, I live for him. But there must be sign of some kind of glitch with the costume people or the hair people, because it's not right. It's all white and burnt. He said the hair. Her hair was not white and it wasn't burnt. She hated the idea of having ashy hair, which I was totally against, too, and I never did it. But when I saw the first look, I went, oh, my God, what am I gonna do? I mean, first of all, this person should have been brought on.
B
Yeah.
A
As a consultant.
B
Like. Like, the fact that this is the person speaking out about this tells me everything I need to know.
A
Yeah. And the thing is, is, like, the hair is bad, but also the fashion is bad. She's wearing a Birkin, and it's. Seriously, it looks, like, so cheap. It's empty. First, like, it's. It's really.
B
No, it's, like, collapsing on itself. Yeah. They couldn't put any stuffing inside of it.
A
Stuff the bag and. Yeah.
B
They're just, like, standing in front of a Black or a JCPenney's backdrop, like they're coming in for Christmas cards. And it's like.
A
It's.
B
They. Yeah, he's standing like, that's his mug shot. Like, the styling, the photography, the creative design. Like, where is it?
A
I don't know. It's. And, like, then you see pictures of them in real life. Life, and they have not achieved what they set out to achieve, especially with the makeup, the hair, the hairstyle. He said Carolyn's hair was darker at the bottom. The mid was medium blonde, and the front was all brilliant gold pieces. Gold makes women look beautiful. Ash makes you look dead. Unless you're wearing a ton of makeup and who wears a ton of makeup? It's just wrong. Everything.
B
Oh, my God, I love him.
A
I love him, too, because. Thanks for validating. You really can all feel, but not verbalize.
B
No. And I feel like maybe Ryan Murphy is gagged from that comment. Like, what? You know, like, where does he go from here? You know, Like, I feel like maybe he loved this, and now he's like, oh, no, now this is bad.
A
And I also feel like he doesn't flop. Like.
B
No.
A
And they do so many period pieces and, you know, like, recreations of, like, real people and stuff. And for the most part, no one's really had a complaint. They do, like, a pretty good job of, like, nailing the character. I think in this situation, like, he had really big shoes to fill because they are so Iconic, like, for the way that they look. And for him to miss on this, like, is a big L. Yeah.
B
I also feel like him coming off of the Menendez brothers, maybe he had.
A
Like, feeling a little.
B
He was feeling a little too big. Yeah, a little bit too big for his birthday.
A
I didn't watch that one. Dark.
B
Real dark.
A
Happy to skip it. But he also did, like, Monica Lewinsky. He did O.J. and, like, remember the O.J. one? Like, everyone was, like their old selves and, like, you know, all these people. And he kind of, like, even had Kris Jenner in there. Robert Kardashian, OJ Self. They, like, really had.
B
When does this come out?
A
This comes out sort of soon. When was it? I think in the next few months. I forget. Let me look. If anyone will tell me, which they won't. Well, I would. I would actually watch this because I think their story is interesting. I've read, like, a sort of, like, a fan fiction version of it. There's a book by Emily Giffen. I forget what it's called, but it's, like, sort of a take on this story, and it's so good. And of course, it's not the true story, but it definitely made me interested in them as a couple because, like, we were a little young.
B
Right.
A
Kind of like, we were so young. Yeah. And me and you. Yeah, we're the same age.
B
Yeah, we were really young. We were like.
A
I feel like it. Like, stuff that happened, like, in the 90s, like, I miss because I wasn't, like, a conscious person. And, like, anything that happened before, like, I learned in school. Right. But then. And things that happened after, like, I'm alive.
B
Right.
A
But, like, this was, like, sort of a period that I missed, so I know a little bit about them, but it would be something that I would want to know more about. So I'm interested to watch it, but not if it's gonna be a piece of crap.
B
No, I don't want to watch it. If she. If her hair looks like shit, I'm not watching it.
A
If it's ashy and if it feels like community theater, which is, like, my biggest pet peeve, especially when they're, like, trying to recreate, like, a moment in time and a real piece of, like, person and time, and it's just, like, giving costume and it's giving.
B
Like, I can see craft services over there.
A
Yeah, yeah. And everybody is just, like, pretending to be someone else. I'm like, why am I watching you guys be, like, freaks? I feel too aware of what I'm Watching, which is why I actually prefer reality tv.
B
Same.
A
Everyone's like, at least being like, their own real person.
B
Yeah.
A
Today's episode of the Toast is brought to you by Taylor Farms. My dinner last night was brought to you by Taylor Farms. I'll tell you exactly what I did in case you're looking for inspo. So I actually use the Caesar salad kit because that's what I had on hand. And I love the romaine from the Caesar salad kit. But then I didn't dress it like a Caesar. I actually dressed it a little Tex Mex style, because I just bought fresh guacamole. Put that on top. I had some salsa. Put that on top. I had some corn. Put that on top. I added the cheese from the Caesar salad kit, and it was so delicious. But typically, the Taylor Farm Caesar, as is with their Caesar dressing, is one of my favorites. But Taylor Farm salad kids, they're more personal than comedy, more personal than food. Everyone's gonna dress them up differently. And, like, every day, I'm always craving, like, a big, crunchy, fresh salad that's just, like, something in life I'm always craving, but especially in pregnancy, like. Like, it's really annoying. Like, I just always want salad that's, like, made for me already that looks beautiful, that, like, a Kardashian would eat. And Taylor Farm said, hold my farm. And they gave me the chopped salad kits in the best flavors, the freshest ingredients. Everything is chopped to perfection. So, like, you don't have these big, long leaves of lettuce. It's just such a great way to experience a salad. And I can't say enough good feelings about them. So if you haven't tried them yet, they are available at all major grocery stores. They have sweet kale, Caesar, avocado ranch, Mediterranean crunch. The dressing on the Mediterranean Crunch is just sublime. They're super fresh, crisp, delicious. They are ready to go. You don't really need other ingredients if you don't want them, but you can always add a fresh protein on top. Check out Taylor Farms. Today's episode of the Toast is also brought to you by Olipop. And Olipop said, said hold my soda because I'm gonna give you a healthy soda so you don't have to sacrifice the sodas that you love, but you also don't have to sacrifice like health, gut health, sugar, all of the things that come along with traditional soda. So Olipop is great for your gut health. Again, they have 2 to 5 grams of sugar per can, which is minimal compared to traditional sodas. And they have the same flavors that you love, like their vintage cola, which has only 2 grams of sugar compared to a regular Cola, which has 39 grams of sugar. B
Should we get into Love Island?
A
Let's get into Love Island. We've waited long enough. Last night, Casa More kicked off early in the episode. Early in the season. It feels like same.
B
When they announced that Monday night, I was like, whoa, I feel like we don't have any couples, right?
A
So, like, okay, let me go watch six single girls meet six single guys and five single guys. Like, no one's coming between anyone. The strongest couple that we have, I think, is Sierra and Nick, and they've both remained open. Even when she tried to take it to the next level, he was like, no.
B
Do you think he said that because he knew Casa Moore was around the corner? And he was like, I don't want to be, like, cheating. Like, I'm gonna say.
A
I think that he wanted, like, to be able to see things through with Andrina. I think he was, like, really attracted to her. And, like, maybe if that. That petered out and didn't happen and Sierra and him were still strong like that, that was the time. But, like, he hadn't gotten to, like, know that many people, so I feel like he got. And this girl is, like, so dreamy. So he's like, no, we'll stay open a couple more days.
B
Yeah.
A
But I do think it's, like, eventually they probably wouldn't have worked. I don't even think they would, like, be compatible or like each other. And, like, then, shoot. He would probably just look at her as a friend. It's like, well, Sierra's been here.
B
Do you feel like that's why they.
A
Said Jeremiah home 1000% that vote? Like, I. I was irate. And even watching last night, like, it took me. I paused all. Like, usually I watch it. I'm locked in. I got my popcorn with a little pirate's booty that I steal from the kids last night. Like, I paused every five minutes. Like, it was making me sick to watch these people, like, defend, like, explain why they voted the way that they voted. Moronic to the nth degree.
B
No, no. And the way that during it, when. Or I guess right after, when Nick was like, listen, dude, like, you just have to. He was talking to Pepe. He's like, now that, like, Jeremiah and Hannah are gone, like, now you can really, you know, explore. It's like, no, you were so jealous of this man. You, like, I don't know who elected Ace as the town mayor, but, like, he needs to be fired immediately.
A
He.
B
I think the whole time he was interested in Huda, and I think he was pissed that Jeremiah got her first.
A
Did he say anything to that effect? Like, when they did the opening kissing?
B
No, but he kissed her on that next blindfold thing when it was like, you can get up and kiss however many. He, like, went and kissed Shelly and Huda.
A
Oh, interesting. Interesting.
B
And then whenever he, like, okay, he broke up with Hooda, ended with Hood, and now he's with Irina. And they were like, he can't just, like, keep doing this. And it's like.
A
Doing what? Seeking out connections.
B
Sorry. This is actually what you're supposed to do.
A
This is exactly what you're supposed to.
B
You're like, we just thought, he's gonna do the same thing with Huda.
A
No, Andrea's a different person. It will shake out differently. Even then, when they were like, to Pepe. Well, like, now you can explore. It's like, that's what he was doing with Hannah. They couldn't even justify their decisions. I don't know. On the one hand, Jeremiah being sent home made me angrier than the fact that Hannah went home because of what she did to my Charlie.
B
Yeah. Yeah.
A
But watching the girls try to explain why they sent Hannah home, they literally couldn't. And in my head, the way I see it happening is is that Huda convinced them to send her home so that she could move in on Pepe because that was the only other person that she was semi interested in. And I think she was able to, like, manipulate the leaders of the girls, which are Alandria and Shelly. And I feel like Alandria, like, is always the voice of reason. I like her so much. But in that moment, I was like, alandra should have stepped up and been like, of course Amaya is going home. And I think that the boys were so shocked that the girls fumbled the ball so badly. So I feel like the girls had an easier decision to make and they made the wrong one. I feel like for the boys, it's not like they had issues with Hannah, but they had issues. Nobody liked Jeremiah. The only his best friend is Austin, who's Also in the bottom three. Austin poses a threat to no one. Like, the way that they voted was just, like, very obviously dumb.
B
Yeah.
A
And. But I feel like the girls, like, really couldn't explain why they voted the way that they did.
B
I feel like also because Sierra and Nick had that conversation before where he was like, she was like, I want. And he was like, like, let's still be open. And so I feel like maybe she was also on, like, the Pepe train of like, oh, well, if he wants to be open, like, I need to have someone.
A
Oh.
B
So, like, let's get Hannah out.
A
I feel like Sierra, I feel like she's, like, very, like, chill.
B
Yeah.
A
And, like, free spirited. And, like, it's not, like, doesn't, like, weigh and have, like, or have, like, strong opinions about, like, other people. Like, in the sense that she's just, like, a cool girl. And so I don't think she, like, contributed a lot to the vote. That's just, like, not how it. They didn't show us how it went down. So I'm just like, thinking, do you.
B
Think they didn't show us because last season it went so well. I guess you don't know.
A
We didn't watch.
B
But, like, last season they had the girls do the same thing and they voted out Andrea who was with Rob at the time. And, you know, like, Leah and Rob had their whole love thing, and then they ended up breaking up and he was with Andrea. And then she went like, Andrea got sent home and Rob was like, what the fuck? Like, we had a connection. Why would you send her home? And Leo was like, listen, I took a backseat, like, to that decision. Like, I don't know, like, I really wasn't involved. And then that started this whole fight because the other girls were like, you didn't take a fucking backseat. Like, what do you mean you didn't take a backseat? Like, you were. You were definitely telling us, like, who we should. So it started this, like, whole uproar in the villa.
A
I would like to see that.
B
We need to see the uproar.
A
We need to see the footage. So then I think Sierra is now so pissed that the boy sent home Jeremiah because Jeremiah was keeping Andrina at bay. Cause if Jeremiah and Andrina are together, then Nick is all hers.
B
Oh, true.
A
But now then all of this is a moot point with Casa more because shockingly, even though I don't think it's. We're ready for casa and there's no couples. So, like, this isn't titillating. I love the Casa boys. I think they're so cute.
B
They're like the casa boys, too.
A
They're like. They all seem, like, more handsome and more tall and way more tall. More, like, employed.
B
Yes.
A
Than the OG Boys.
B
Yeah.
A
So, like, let's have a new show.
B
If I hear one more like, I'm a model, like, I'm out, you know? Yeah. Like, that's why I love Jalen so much, is because he was a truck driver. He was a truck driver, 18 Wheeler. He's from Alabama and we love him for that.
A
How was him on Vial Files?
B
I wasn't there, Nick, because I came here. Sorry.
A
Love that coast greater than Jalen, literally, by sm and.
B
But Nick said, he's so sweet, and he was just like, he's exactly what you want.
A
Okay, good.
B
Yeah. And he is now, like. I mean, he has over a million F. Like, he's getting what he deserves.
A
He's getting the love. He is. I'm so, like, that's what you love to see.
B
He needs to be tripping with Tarte 1000%.
A
And he needs, like, a nice lady. I feel like there are a lot of, like, women and men in the sphere who are, like, we could place them, you know, like, a little bit of that.
B
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
A
And we can add him to the mix.
B
Now do you feel like Amaya is, like, one of the Austri sisters?
A
No. Why?
B
Because she gratitudely. She just makes up words, but we make them up.
A
Like, we know they're wrong. That's the difference. So I'm.
B
Yeah, she's 100%. Like, I'm out. No, honestly, she. Yeah, no, she's like. This is. How you say, gratitude? It's gratitude.
A
She sounds like Glinda from Wicked, like, making shit up.
B
She does. No, she. I love her.
A
Really?
B
You don't like her?
A
I don't dis. There's nothing to dislike. She's obviously a very pure soul. I don't enjoy watching her on my television. I want her to go home because she's keeping other people from being there. Like, Hannah was better television, even though she wasn't like, really? Yeah. Hannah and Pepe, like, they had a. Like. And I like Pepe. So, like, Pepe likes Hannah and I like Charlie. But of course she did what she did. But listen, Hannah's gonna. Hannah. And she literally came on the show and said, I want multiple partners. Okay. She literally.
B
She fit in her hand.
A
She was never shy. Like, she was literally feeling it with Charlie. And then that day was like. But I just feel like being with other People like, like, I can't knock her for.
B
She's like, no, I'm so horny.
A
No, seriously. And one is not enough. Yeah, so she told us who she was. Believe her. And I think Pepe's a really, like, good, smart, sober guy. And if he was, like, really into her, that I think that speaks well of her as well.
B
I think Amaya's excellent television.
A
Just pick up your mic. I don't want to miss what you have to say about Amaya and how you're going to insult me again. No, no, you're good.
B
No, no, no, I think. No, I think Amaya's excellent television. I think she is so funny.
A
You're more patient than I am.
B
I think when she. The stuff she says is, I want it on repeat. I want an album made of the stuff that Amaya says. Her singing in the mirror to her being like, I'm a bad bitch and I don't deserve, like, the way that she just is. She is herself and I love her. And I think the men, honestly, are such trash for the way that they're treating her. And she deserves, like, someone really hot at KA somewhere. Although I don't know why they're not editor.
A
I know. Well, actually, she would have agreed with Jaylen. She would have two pure souls.
B
Truly. He would have been so patient with.
A
If they weren't so dumb to vote him home.
B
No, that was so up ill.
A
I hate these people. And so now we have, like, new casa guys, new regular house girls.
B
What do you think of the girls?
A
Sure. A couple of them are, like, so striking. Yeah, I like the converse. Taylor seems really into Coco, like, and I liked their conversation. I felt a little bit of chemistry from him, which we have not felt yet. Even though he's got the best girl in the villa, like, they make me so mad because he's so not worthy. But now we see how he's like when he likes someone in a more romantic way. So I feel like it's time for Taylor and Alandra to break up. And I just feel bad for Alandra because she's obviously very picky in a good way. Like, she's not just gonna go for a million guys or. Or, like, force something or act desperately to, like, be on the show. And she, like, likes Taylor. I can't understand that. From what I've seen, he's very goofy. I just hope that, like, I hope that Taylor and Coco, like, are locked in. And I hope that Alondra can really fall for one of the new guys because they really like, her. The guy that she's with, like, likes her. I mean, he did choose her in the backup.
B
The.
A
The Zach K. They're all Zach, by the way.
B
Yeah.
A
So if I call one of them Zach, I'll probably. Right. But it was the model from New Zealand. Right.
B
They both love family covered in tats.
A
Yeah. Yeah, they both love their family.
B
I think that's Zach K. Oh, I.
A
Think maybe he is a Zach.
B
Yeah. Because I think Alandra and Amaya didn't get picked. And then he was like, I picked Alandra because of what she said. She's so sophisticated.
A
Yeah. But no, but then in their conversation, like, okay, maybe at first didn't start off the way you want, but in their conversation, it felt like they were vibing, and she was like, I didn't really want to. Gonna feel that's anything but, like, it was good.
B
Yeah.
A
Shelly said the same thing. Shelly and Ace. No, Shelly and Ace are the worst. They think they're winning the show. Someone needs to let them know that they're not.
B
No, I feel like they're scamming us. Yeah, I feel like they're scamming us.
A
They believe that they, like, were dating before the show.
B
I think there's that video of Ace being like, happy Valentine's, Shelly. Like, you don't say that to someone you bumped into at a coffee shop. You know, like, you say that to someone you have rapport with. And I think they are scamming the show. I like, if it's up to me, Ace will never see that money.
A
Yeah. You know, no, if it's up to me, no one that I've met on Love island so far will be winning that money. The last person who comes in the house who I hate the least, I'm voting for.
B
Yeah. Yeah. I feel like Nick and Jaden. I think that is good.
A
Oh, yeah, they're cute. But, like, I like Nick and Sierra. Like, what's. What about that is not enough for him. You know, It's.
B
That's so true. I have no idea. I think Beldasha told us that he told her that he was in an open relationship before or, like, had multiple girlfriends at once. And so she was, like, feeling right at home being at Love Island. So I think maybe that has something to do with it of, like, oh, I don't want to close off to one girl because, like, I. Because I'm into dating.
A
Yeah.
B
Multiple.
A
Got it. Okay. That I don't. You know, I'll take that with a grain of salt.
B
Yeah. Take it with a Grain of salt.
A
Because Tyler Cameron came here and said that he went on a double date weekend with Nick and, like, two girls who are Lando.
B
They were both dating.
A
They were both dating.
B
She was like, I actually don't know. I was like, they were both making out with Nick.
A
Tyler was dating a girl, and Nick was dating a girl. I guess the girls knew each other and they all went on a double date weekend to Orlando. And he never said anything about there being another girlfriend. And he said that, like, Nick's the only person that he kept in touch with from that weekend and that he's a good dude.
B
I do think he is a good dude. I think he's sweet. He's a nurse. You know, he's a hero. Not all heroes were capes. I think he's a hero. And the way that he was like, oh, you're Dextron. Is, like, so sexy.
A
Yeah. And he's like, I can help you with that.
B
Change that for you.
A
That is cute.
B
So sweet.
A
But it's only cute if Sierra. Oh, Sierra's with alon.
B
Yeah. Which honestly is, like, the.
A
The nicas more. I like them too. I actually. I'll be great if everybody recouples meaningfully. Except I kind of, like, liked Iris and TJ. I thought they were.
B
No, I did too. But TJ's response to every kiss, like, you thought that was the other woman. Like, which one were you voting? Iris. The two. You know, like, if they all thought these were just, like, the actual girls.
A
Right.
B
Then why are you voting them so low?
A
I don't know. But I also think some of the girls, like, were. Most of them, like, weren't interested in tj and so they didn't give him the best kisses.
B
Yeah.
A
You know, whereas Iris, like, would have given him a better kiss. It is so weird. I know we have to just accept this as a fact, but it is so weird to me that you can stand up there blindfolded and now kiss and have to, like, make out with and dry hump and grab ass of five strangers that you've never met before. And I know when you go on the show, they're like, are you down to hook up with strangers that you've never seen before? You don't know, like, what their history is or anything. And you have to be okay with that or else you can't come on our show. And they all agree to it. But it's twisted.
B
No, the blindfolds is so up. Like, you, first of all, like, you're startling me now. My nervous system needs to come down before you try to kiss me. You know, like, I'm not ready for a kiss right now. Like, my blood pressure's high. I'm not. I'm feeling nervous. Nervous. Like, you have to wait a second. And the way that they just immediately. And then you have to, like, now you're getting rated. You know, it's like how I. I wasn't prepared, you know, like, I was. And you're choosing who you want to be coupled up with based off that kiss.
A
No. As if, like, the kiss means anything, but, like, anything. I remember. Do you ever watch that movie Sierra Burgess is a loser? No, it was like, just like one of those teen movies on Netflix. And, like, the girl is, like, catfishing the guy with this other girl's picture. So, like, she finally gets in touch with the other girl. She's like, please, can you, like, go out with him for me? And then, like, when it's time to kiss, she puts a blindfold on him. And then Sierra kisses him. Like the loser girl, not the girl that was catfishing. And, like, it was really twisted, though. Like, he thought he was kissing this one girl, and instead he's kissing another girl. And I feel like at the time people were like, that's, like, kind of weird and, like, a little morally bankrupt. And now we're, like, all watching it on Love island, probably cheering it on.
B
Yeah, yeah.
A
But, like, I know that all these people have consented to all of this.
B
They have. And I honestly do think, like, the milk challenge was far worse. You know, the milk challenge.
A
I will not be the same, like, small things about this show. First it was Charlie, then it was Jalen, then it was the milk challenge, and then it was Jeremiah. It's chipping away at my ability to watch the show.
B
It's getting bad. It's getting really bad. The milk challenge was something that I like. The hot, hot milk. Milk is only good if it's served ice cold. Cold. And it's only good if it's in a bowl of cereal.
A
And it's not as good when it comes from someone else's mouth.
B
Someone else's mouth. And now it's hot. And it's been sitting in an utter.
A
For hell on my head. And then, no, no, it's not like quality milk.
B
It's not quality grass fed. It's probably not like almond or oat either. So, like, I hope everyone's stomach feels okay.
A
I could. Seriously, that was actually disgusting.
B
Do you think that Jalen got sent home because Taylor and Alandria wanted to get rid of.
A
I actually don't think so. I know people said that, but I think when Alandria made her choice and was very clear about it, she wasn't even like. She was like, I like Taylor a little more, but I look forward to exploring with Jalen. She was like, no, it's. She literally came back from her date with Jalen and kissed Taylor on the lips, which they never do. So I think if Taylor were still feeling threatened by him, like, he would be a fool to feel that way. And I don't think that I. I think their chapter was closed with that locked door and like, then he could have went and explored. Amaya.
B
I can't tell you, like, there are. There are so many things that are embarrassing, but pulling on an open a locked door.
A
And of course it only happened to one person and it was Jaylen in front of everyone.
B
National television. That is so fucked up.
A
That is so fucked up. I'm sick.
B
And the way that she's like. And you're standing in front of Olandria's door and like Alandra's standing back there knowing that it's locked, like, that is so fucked up in so many ways. Yeah, I hated that. I hated, like, he did not deserve that.
A
And the fact that we haven't had a normal recoupling. We're just like, guy chooses girl that he likes or girl chooses. We haven't had one. Except for Belle's. Yeah, Dasha True is really annoying. What is this show? It's not Love Island.
B
And now they're coupling up in casa, which is like, not what you're supposed to do.
A
Everyone's coming back to the main house, which I don't dislike because we have good casa guys. And also the girls, like, deserve. I want every OG off my show. Like, all of the OGs, they have run out their time on the show. The boys and the girls, the good ones are gone. And the ones who were once good are now compromised by their inability to vote.
B
So true.
A
And to understand the will of the American people.
B
So true. When I kept. When they kept saying America, I'm like, don't speak for me. Don't speak. I didn't.
A
Have you ever voted in one of the polls?
B
Yes.
A
You do? Yes. Who'd you vote for? For two. Who were your two favorite guy and girl?
B
Oh, it was Nick and Sierra.
A
Cute.
B
Yeah.
A
Yeah. And you, I'm sure you've seen like, people shipping Nickelandria.
B
No, I haven't. But honestly, you haven't seen the. I like that.
A
Oh, My God. They take, like, these minor moments of, like, when he, like, looks at her. It's actually so funny. And wait, I want to show you one. Then when they had Nick Rita Landria's name of, like, who was being saved from the popular vote, they had Nick read out the card that the. The text that said Alandrian. Like, I know that they did. I think they're combing Twitter. They are doing whatever the people want. And I think that they did that so that people could include that in their edits. Because he, like, smiles. Of course he fucking smiles. Right, right, right. It's actually so funny. Here. Here's one.
B
This show is so unserious.
A
People are not okay.
B
They're not okay. What is going on? I am. I have to say, I'm very glad that Shelly got the tallest man in casa.
A
Yeah. But I feel like she's taking it for granted.
B
Yeah.
A
I don't know. I. I don't think she's really into anyone anywhere on this island.
B
Did you notice that no one wanted to kiss Chris?
A
Who was Chris?
B
He came in with jd.
A
Who is he coupled up with at the moment? How do you know Christopher and jd Actually, do you remember jd? He was, like, really smiley. And he's a football player. He said, coach said this.
B
And I was like, JD's the one, the tall one. Who's the. Shelly, I think.
A
No, the basketball player who was playing in Europe.
B
Isn't his name jd?
A
No, he's Chris.
B
Okay, so then maybe it's jd.
A
Oh, nobody wanted to kiss jd. Okay.
B
He had, like, the smallest little gap between his front two teeth.
A
Oh.
B
And no one pulled him to kiss in the little, like, game they were playing.
A
That's weird. And now who is he coupled up with?
B
Huda.
A
Okay.
B
Yeah.
A
Okay. Well, this is Huda's time to shine, even though she's coupled up with someone that she didn't want to kiss.
B
You think she'll shine? Do you love Huda?
A
No.
B
Okay.
A
No. And I think that her. Her contribution to the island has run out. Like, I understand she really saved the season because up until Hurricane Huda, like, the show was so bad and, like, I was, like, actually feeling, like, angry watching every night. But then, like, with a couple of the recouplings, people are like, oh, my God, like, that was crazy. And then Iris and Jeremiah together, and hood is spiraling, and it was, like, good television. And I think that the producers don't want to let that go. She was obviously not voted highly by America in terms of popularity.
B
Right.
A
But they Weren't going to put her in the bottom three because the girls would have sent her home after three times of saving her. So, like, I think they are manipulating things to keep her around because they think that the show needs her, but I think that her contribution has ended.
B
Yeah.
A
And I love it. And the only thing worse than watching her spiral and crash out is watching her, like, try and be nice and flirt and whisper and be sweet. Like, oh, my. And the flirting is so beautiful.
B
I can't watch.
A
Watching her try and flirt with tj, who was not falling for it, was really awful.
B
Watching TJ and Vanna flirt was even more worse.
A
Oh, yeah. I thought she was into him.
B
I. Maybe they were into it. I don't know. But just watching the way that they were choosing to flirt with each other was a hard watch for me. It was so cringey.
A
Yeah. But those girls, like, they need to play every hand, you know, they're in a tough spot.
B
Yeah. They're like, we have three days, ladies. You better get on it.
A
Yeah. Like, we're gonna go down even if, like, tj, if nobody likes him, like, well, we might need tj. No, we're staying here.
B
Yeah.
A
We just. We work too hard to go home now.
B
That's so true. I feel like that's why some of the women last season were, like, really, like, they were, like. They were doing their big one. Like, I think some of them were getting close to having sex because they were like, we've gotta, like, lay it on them.
A
Yeah. Well, there's been some sex now.
B
A lot of sex.
A
Yeah.
B
I think this is the most sex that I've personally seen in the villa.
A
I also think as the seasons go on, it's getting, like, raunchier and more rated R. Because now it's on Peacock. Like, it used to be on cable, and it was really PG to the point of being boring. And now it's all ass and titties and making out and bondage and, like, the challenges are getting. Everything is just up the ante. But I do think, like, the UK Love island is more like that.
B
Yeah. Apparently, like, the first couple seasons of.
A
Love island uk, it's like sex tapes and cigarettes, literally. Yeah, that's what I've heard. Did you watch my Sally and Tommy Fury?
B
No. I know them, of course, but I don't watch.
A
You should have her on the show.
B
Really? Yeah. How is she?
A
I'm obsessed with her. She's like, my number together. They're back together. She's my number one influencer. I literally, every time she does a drop of her clothing line that you love, I don't. Like, it's. Well, definitely, like, the fact that she's a mom, like, and, like, she just. It seems, like, just so loving, but there's just something very calming about her presence. It's not even like she has the biggest personality, but just everything she does just, like, looks very beautiful. Like, she's got the. The eye and the look. But I think also she has clothing line now. I love the way that she dresses, like, at, like, in this new, mature era of her life. And I just feel endlessly inspired by her as, like, a woman and a creator.
B
I have to say, like, the second, and I feel like this is maybe where me and Hood are different. The second that I became a mom.
A
I was like, oh, you signed up for Love Island?
B
And I left my child for two months.
A
And her birthday's coming up.
B
No, I know. She's turning five.
A
Did we all notice the tattoo with the birthday?
B
No.
A
She's turning five in 15 days.
B
Is she gonna be home?
A
I hope so. Like, for a million reasons.
B
No. A million reasons. I hope so as well. But Fiji is also, like, a really.
A
Long flight, and I feel like they keep them there for, like, after sun.
B
Yeah.
A
And then also people are saying, like, so and so is going to come back into the villa. Like, Jeremiah is going to come back. Because apparently that happens before.
B
I guess. I don't. Everyone's been saying that about, like, oh, Bill Dash is coming back. Oh, Charlie's gonna come back.
A
We don't want. We don't need Bella back.
B
Like, we don't.
A
I haven't missed her a date.
B
No, I haven't.
A
I have not stopped thinking about Charlie, but I don't even need Charlie Harley back for the plot. Like, Hannah's gone. It's over. We need Jeremiah back. And even Andrina was throwing herself at Brian.
B
She was.
A
She was throwing herself at him, and he was, like, not acting worthy.
B
No.
A
And she had to go in for the kiss.
B
Yeah.
A
And it's crazy. I feel like she got. When she came in. Like, there has never been as much excitement about the way a person looks as there was for her. And, like, everybody was ready to leave their lady for her. And then two days later is cause. And, like, the complete air has come out of her bubbles. Now she goes into Casa More. She has no girlfriends in the house. You could see she's walking behind the girls single time. She, like. I feel like all of the hype for her in her moment Just, like, prematurely ended her one connection. Like, justice for her. She got a raw deal.
B
Do you feel like she's, like, sad that she missed out on the twerking challenge with Megan the stallion because her ass is so insane?
A
I'm sad. Oh, my God. That challenge was crazy. But actually genuinely entertaining.
B
No, I haven't laughed so hard. I mean, the way that Austin and Nick.
A
Yeah.
B
And Taylor. Taylor's faces. What was happening?
A
I don't know. Megan did an amazing job as a host.
B
Yeah, she did.
A
And, like, just goes to show, like, what a host can do for a show. Like, for a challenge or a show.
B
I do. I am curious as to where Ariana is when, like, they're. When they have, like, the text come in or, like, Ian is saying it over. Like, why? What's happening?
A
Where is she, by the way?
B
Love.
A
I don't know if that makes sense. Me old and boring. But the only joy I get from this show is Ian.
B
Do you like his jokes?
A
I laugh at some of them. Some of them are, like, not my favorite. But then he's like, I have 100 more of these.
B
Yeah, he does.
A
But, like, literally sometimes he's so funny. Yeah.
B
I do think he saves the show in so many ways.
A
And I feel like if when I was younger, I would have been like, ugh, this guy's so annoying.
B
Yeah.
A
But I feel like old and proud that I love Ian. You guys need to have Ian. Ian on.
B
I think we. That was a plan at some point. So I would. Yeah, I. It would be really trippy to have his voice, like, sitting beside me, you know, for sure.
A
That was also a big thing. They brought in Ian from uk, whereas in the early seasons of Love Island Us, he was not the narrator. And, like, the person was trying to do the same things Ian did, but it wasn't hitting, like, now it hits. I think they brought in, like, games makers.
B
Yeah.
A
Like, I keep saying, like, Philip Seymour Hoffman in Hunger Games. Like, they've done that because they really are turning Villa inside out for the sake of entertainment, and I think they're overdoing it and compromising on the love that we are all here for.
B
Yeah. It's like Ace thinks that this is traitors or, like, Survivor, but they've made it that way. Yeah, I guess. But it's also, like, I don't know. I don't like the way. I think Ace should go home. I think Shelly should be with Mr. Tall basketball player or go home.
A
I think her time is sort of run out. Like, she hasn't Made them. Like, she hasn't done much and I like her. Like, I don't have strong feelings about her one way or the other.
B
If you had to choose right now, who's winning? Oh, you have to.
A
Nick and Sierra. But now that. That would be before Casa. Now with Casa Ciara and Alon.
B
Okay, sure, sure. Do you think that they're all gonna.
A
Crack with Casa Iris and tj?
B
Yes, Iris and tj.
A
I think they don't. There's not even a crack to have. No one likes each other. Except for Sierra liking Nick. That's the only real, like, the strongest.
B
And I feel like she's so emotionally stable that, like, movie night isn't even going to be that fun because she's.
A
Going to be like, oh, everyone's saying they're keeping hood around for movie night. Like she does.
B
She's no one to freak out over.
A
Yeah, no, apparently, because she talks about the girls and the girls will hear it. That's what I think they're saying. Yeah. Like, calling everyone a this.
B
Oh, yeah. When all the. When, like, Amaya came in. Yeah, she was like, she's a. I can tell she's mad messy as I hate her.
A
I don't even think that's gonna be so crazy because, like, that was the energy she was giving off. Like, it wasn't like, she wasn't hiding it to, like, Amaya when she came in that she didn't like her for going after Jeremiah. Same for Iris. Like, I think she'll be able to smooth it over. I don't think it's gonna be, like, the big moment people think it will be.
B
I don't either. I think it's gonna honestly suck.
A
Yeah. So, like, yeah, I'm honestly, I'm getting mad now. I was really feeling disgusted last night. Now I'm like, okay, I'm. I'm buoyed by casa. I think the casa guys are good. Good. Are these girls even worthy at this point after, like, what they did to Hannah, Charlie, Jeremiah and Jaden?
B
No, honestly, they're not. Jaylen.
A
Jaylen.
B
No. Jalen.
A
Jaylen. Is Jaden the new girl?
B
Yes. Yeah. Jaden is a new girl.
A
Cute. Jaylen is our boy.
B
Our boy.
A

B
