Good morning, girlies. It's the Toast.
B
It's Jackson Claude, and we're your host.
A
It's your favorite show.
B
The best five things you need to know.
A
We'll start your day off Swirly. It's the Toast.
B
They sound amazing.
A
Welcome back to the Toast and Happy Tuesday, the first Tuesday toast of the year. I'm feeling particularly titillated because I'm sitting next to one with big tits.
B
It's.
A
Hey, Jax, how you doing?
B
Oh, wow.
A
I just want to keep the alliteration going.
B
X rated.
A
Listen, we may be moms, but we're still.
B
We say still got. I like to cuss.
A
Yeah, I guess a little. Hey, Koji, people who say cuss, don't cuss, don't cuss.
B
They're like, darn.
A
It's like a virtue signal, right? Like, nobody says that.
B
Darn, darn, darn.
A
How you doing, Jax? Happy Tuesday. It's a big day. We've got to your toasters. We got flowover stories. It didn't make the cut yesterday, but are still very good.
B
That on any other day would have been fast. 5. Not the first day of the year when we're talking about Alex Earl and Tom Brady. The rest of you, Ashley Tisdale, you.
A
Could take a seat, right? Oh, okay. Thank you. Ashley Tisdale.
B
I.
A
The theme of today's episode. I have a couple of things. It's actually similar to the theme of yesterday's episode, which is the theme of the year. Yes. And the theme. There's one in Dear Toasters, too. Like, I have a couple, like, uncomfortable hard truths to share, and they'll be coming throughout the day.
B
I just want to say to you, like, they better be uncomfortable and they better be hard.
A
I'm so chronically online that my bar for, like, what's considered a crazy take is in hell.
B
It's literally I cuss a little.
A
Yeah, right.
B
That's her.
A
I. No, I actually think especially my one. And I. I feel like. No, now I'm like, second guessing myself. But I do feel like I have some kind of crazy things to say today to three people because I think.
B
Like, the only thing worse than being, like, mild is projecting like, you're being so hot and spicy.
A
Yeah.
B
And still being mild.
A
We'll assess at the end of the episode.
B
But my three spiciness, my spice meter in Koji's corner.
A
My three spicy takes are going to be directed towards.
B
Okay.
A
Ashley Tisdale, Amanda Seyfried, and one person in Dear Toasters.
B
Okay.
A
Yeah.
B
Spoiler alert. We have deer toasters. Today?
A
Yes, it is Tuesday, and we're starting off the year on track. We've got Dear Toasters.
B
I can't wait. I get, like, some DMS once in a while. Like, oh, my God. I wrote into Dear Toasters last night when I was drunk. Like, please don't read it. Or, like, we've made up. Like, they were good toes. And so I just feel. Feel like the submissions are gonna be spicy. Yeah. Because people are already regretting them.
A
That does happen sometimes.
B
But by the way, if you did do that, like, we wouldn't read it.
A
Sometimes people will reply to their own email being like, please don't read that. And it's unfortunate because I was, like, about to choose it.
B
But we respect the sanctity of your toasters. We're not trying to give you advice that you don't want anymore.
A
No, we would never put you on blast.
B
Thousands of people who want their submission.
A
Read, it is honorable. Like, I find honor in the fact that people get drunk and, like, they think of us, you know, because people that call their exes, it's like, the person you love most in the world, who comes to mind. And, like, we come to mind for people. That's. That's beauty.
B
I love that. And I. I do think it's a good policy. Like, if you don't want your Dear Toasters read, like, don't DM me. I might not see it. Follow up to your email. That's really good.
A
Oh, yeah. If you said, do you know how many we got? Like, if you send a rogue message. No. Follow up to the email.
B
Beautiful.
A
Safest way to stay safe out there.
B
Yeah, but don't, like, be, like, writing into your toes. There's. And taking it back.
A
Oh, yeah. No, this is not, like. This is not a Runway for you to be, like, messy with your heart.
B
It's an emergency measure.
A
Yeah.
B
Messy with your heart. Okay, Kelsey, thank you.
A
I didn't know if you're gonna get my reference because it was a messier. For the heart.
B
For your heart.
A
So messy.
B
Was it? Yeah. What'd you do?
A
A roller coaster of emotions. Honestly.
B
That's true. But I wouldn't say messiness.
A
I would you?
B
Yeah, I would, but messiness connotes.
A
You don't want me to be messy. And I am. I'm messy and spicy. You wish. I cuss a little.
B
You wish.
A
I am messy and spicy.
B
Okay.
A
You'll see.
B
I can't. I actually can't wait.
A
Yeah.
B
That was your first Monday of the year.
A
It was actually amazing.
B
Yeah. I mean, I Was like, with you for most of it.
A
Yeah.
B
But we did split up and you went out to dinner. I did salmon.
A
That's why it was amazing. Maybe because I spent it with the ones that I love. But it was great. Gorgeous, gorgeous episode. So great to be back. I love when. I know everyone hates when we take time off, but it's always nice to come back because there's so much fanfare when you do a daily episode. Like, you know, as the days go on, it's like, not every episode is going to be like 100 million comments, 100 million views. So when we do come back, those are always, like, a really highly engaged episode.
B
The love.
A
We feel the love. And so sorry. Maybe we need to take more breaks just so we can feel more love.
B
Yeah, no breaks are necessary. I'm glad that we took one. I'm glad that we're back. I am feeling the love for being back, you know. Number two on Apple Comics.
A
Yeah, we're charting.
B
Feels good. Feels really good. We don't hit number two on comedy, like, all the time often. We're always top 10. The episode would be top five. Yeah. But, you know, I'll give a little buffer.
A
Yeah, yeah.
B
Give a little buffer. But number two, you guys means the world to us. Thank you so much.
A
Thanks to our fans.
B
Especially when, like, everyone's sort of moving to Spotify to listen and watch.
A
It's true, the Apple charts, like, don't really mean anything.
B
Yesterday, I always linked to the episode of my stories and I usually always do Apple and then I say, like, watch on YouTube. Now I only have to do Spotify, listen or watch.
A
I have stopped linking to Apple like, like a year ago. Yeah, we are kind of the frontline reporters on the podcasting worth. People don't care about us.
B
Nobody wants to hear about it, but we'll never stop telling you.
A
But over the years, we've solely been reporting on, like, Spotify's dream of, like, being the number one place for podcasts. And I feel like we never sort of connoted, if that's the right word, that, like, they did it.
B
Yeah, they're at least 50 more like.
A
That'S it's the place share. Yeah.
B
So that's your update.
A
And from the podcast streaming words to.
B
Say, like, we are still number two on Apple given the fact that we're barely promoted.
A
Yeah, it's just like one of our lesser platforms. So what's with you?
B
Not much wearing brown. My Monday, like, totally Mondayed yesterday. I'm like, I'm starting off the year on the right foot. I love that. Um, and now it's like, 364 more of those.
A
Right, Right. I, like, we kind of are matching today just in terms of, like, spirit.
B
Yeah. Because we're both wearing.
A
It's kind of a cream beige. Neutral. Neutral.
B
It's funny. I've noticed. I feel like every week for as long as I live, like, my week follows the same template where, like, I start my Monday on my best foot. Tuesday, I'm not gonna, like, just go do a 180. Then by Wednesday, I'm like, why didn't I dress more casually yesterday? I saw a girl wearing, like, sweatshirt and high socks. I'm like, I'm wearing that tomorrow.
A
Ye.
B
Right. Then by Thursday, I'm like, okay, pick it up. And then Friday, I'm, like, so excited that it's Friday, that I again want to put my best foot forward. And I feel like I literally my. The tone of my outfits every single day of the week is the same for every week throughout her story.
A
And I feel that because I podcast with you, like, I never know what to wear because, like, if it were me, it would be, like, merchant leggings all day, every day. But I do know sometimes you're going to wear a collared blouse with, like, a gold button.
B
So.
A
Yeah, I have to wear. I have to wear my loft sweater. Like, I can't just be wearing my toast merch. So I feel like if I had a solo podcast, it would be really different.
B
It would be much cozier. Mm.
A
You're kind of holding me back.
B
Well, just know, like, tomorrow I'm gonna get to the place in the week where I'm like, why am I dressing so nice? Okay, great.
A
We need to just have, like, a text that we send each other where it's, like, fancy or homeless. Like, what is the vibe today?
B
Okay, but I. Those. Those are too binary for me.
A
Yeah. Jackie doesn't operate in extremes.
B
I actually do, but not those two. Like, I would say, like, polished or casual. It's just a nicer fancy or homeless. Okay. That works for you. Yeah, I prefer the term casual.
A
Okay.
B
Because it's like, we're still doing hair and we're still doing makeup.
A
Yeah.
B
I don't know that those in streets are still doing hair and makeup.
A
Are you familiar? There's so much actually tick tock drama. I want to keep you updated on. So, like, the only fans girls are fighting. I know.
B
With their titties out the bop house. No.
A
So there's a girl who's like quit only fans.
B
I'm impressed. I know the Bop House. Yeah.
A
And you know what? I don't even know what that is.
B
It's like the hype house for Onlyfans creators. And so they get together to really maximize their audiences. They're making tons of money and do.
A
They like create porn in the house?
B
Well, I imagine I've not been to the house.
A
You haven't subscribed.
B
But I imagine whatever they do on OnlyFans, maybe it's not porn. Maybe it's, you know, more just a little titillating stuff. Yeah, they're doing it together. Okay, so here, Rising ties, race, all shot.
A
I can help you. So there's a girl, she's like a huge Only.
B
What's her name? I know her.
A
You don't. Her name is Camilla.
B
I do because Alex Earl with Alex Earl. Yeah.
A
We reported on a story where she like made a TikTok being like, I saw Alex Earl at Ultra and she like didn't want to say hi to me. And it turns out like Alex Earl said hi, took a picture like, Alex Earl doesn't know this girl. And like continued on hanging out with her friends. Friends, like literally.
B
Alex, I've been seeing Camilla. She had a big Christmas party and she's quitting only fans.
A
She's quitting only fans. And her next sort of iteration is selling courses. And you know, it's never good when you get to a place where you're selling online courses. She's teaching how to win at social media. She has like millions and millions of followers. And while that inherently, like isn't bad or wrong, the course costs around between two and six thousand dollars.
B
Okay.
A
Which is really crazy.
B
Did she take her to top?
A
It's not a nude class. Like it's completely covered. And so now all the other only fans girls are like making videos being like, you shouldn't have to pay for a course. Like, here's everything I know about social media for phrase. They're all like taking like the ethical high ground. And these are all like porn stars, like taking the ethical high ground. And it's been really. And now people like not even from the only fans community are getting involved and she's just being like shaded. And this actually wasn't one of my spicy original takes. But I'm gonna say it too obviously, like, this is insane that she's selling six thousand dollar courses. But I just want to say we need to just have a moment and like hold space here for personal accountability. Like anybody who paid $6,000 to take a course from like a former only fans model on how to win at social media. Like that's your money and you're welcome.
B
To do with it what you want.
A
And if you're disgruntled about your purchase, like I do blame you.
B
Yeah. Also like I would say her leaving.
A
The nude world should be applauded.
B
Teacher, right? I. I'm gonna support her.
A
Yeah. She had said like she was able to make so much money. I think she like paid off her parents mortgage, this yada yada, grandma bought her house and you know, she did what she needed to do. It wasn't like a long term thing, it was a means to an end.
B
Yeah.
A
And I think we should be applauding her.
B
I think so too. We actually read a book at the Redheads called Margo's got money troubles and just spoiler alert, it's about a single. Have you heard about this?
A
You tell me about it.
B
It's about this girl. I didn't know anything about the book when I started reading it, but basically she gets pregnant in college and starts an onlyfans and the whole book is about her like doing only fans to eventually, you know, pay off certain things as a means to an end. She winds up, you know, creating an empire.
A
Of course she does. Media mogul.
B
Yeah. No, I think that sometimes it's just like a moment in time and then some people don't know how to quit because all that money and they are making so much money.
A
It's so addictive.
B
How do you turn down like millions of dollars a month?
A
Yeah, it's not like. Yeah, it's abnormal.
B
So she has my utmost respect and I think I'll. I'll for the course in solidarity.
A
Let me know what you find then. The other Tik Tok drama. I know you're going to love this. Actually, I meant to send it to you.
B
You didn't send it to me.
A
No, I didn't because I seriously, I cannot continue to download and send like the storage on my phone. Like it's too much. I have to find this video.
B
Like I won't tell you.
A
Girl meets New York City influencer. You know, she's like, I'm an influencer. She told her story and it was actually one of the crazier ones that I've seen. I really need to find it. What would I search? Like, okay, you know what? See this is why you should acquired style.
B
It's acquired.
A
No. And so the girl wouldn't say who it was. And then everyone's like, it's acquired style. And acquired style was like, it wasn't me. And that's why it's like, I hate. I hated this video for a multitude of reasons.
B
And now everyone's getting blamed.
A
Exactly. Okay, I can't find the video, but it was just this girl. She had like a hundred thousand followers and she was like, I just saw like a New York City influencer in the wild. And I went up to her and she basically said, she's like, I didn't go up to her as like a fan. I went up to her because like we're in the same space. And I was like just asking her questions about like work and you know, being a part of the same community as her. And she like wasn't receptive to my questions. And like, like, you know, she was mean girl and it, she was like, I was not being a fan. Like, I was like, I'm like her. She said, she said I'm her peer.
B
I think that's worse.
A
I'm her peer and like just wanting free advice. Right. And you know, she didn't give me the like attention the time of day that was required and like, you know, mean girl energy. And the comments were really divided of being like, oh, this is why influencers are the worst. And other people are like, girl, are you okay? What the does this girl. Oh, you, you're not her PR. She has 3 million followers. You have a hundred thousand, like, good for you. But like, you are not. You don't know her. And it's. Yeah, I don't know why. Because influencing is like a female dominated space. We're also supposed to like, you know, open up, tell I made this amount of money and come here and take my this. And it's like if any other business, like it's called competitors, like no one's gonna just outright like spread their legs and tell them everything that you know about the business. It was such a parasocial take. It was such a bad take being like. And this is why, like influencers are the worst.
B
Well, please share it with me. It sounds like she could benefit from Camilla's course. I feel like these two tick tock dramas kind of cancel each other out. Yeah, she's looking for how win at social media. I have to watch it. But just when you, when you start off with like someone made a video complaining about an influencer interaction, I, I.
A
Just, I'm almost always going to take the influencer side.
B
The influencer side. I feel like everyone else when they see those videos, they're sat and they're ready to just like sympathize with the person calling themselves a victim but not me. I'm going to sympathize with the influencer and really misunderstood the.
A
The caption of the girl was like, guess they didn't want to make any more friends.
B
Maybe not.
A
Who just goes up to people in the street and wants to make friends.
B
Yeah. And I found it.
A
Ready. Found it.
B
She thinks that like not that let me watch it before.
A
I just had my first.
B
Can I watch. I needed her face. Oh, oh.
A
But put the mic in the. In the.
B
Okay.
A
In the mic. It went super viral.
C
Actually made me want to cry. Someone who cries easily and I have that feeling in my stomach that like I'm trying not to cry. I'm not saying names or anything but I just ran into this influencer that I just had the worst interaction with. I just moved to New York recently and obviously I'm also in the content creation space. And so when I run into other content creators or influencers out in New York I feel like for me it's like I want to. I'm not really coming up to them as a fan. Like I want to say hi to them is where like oh, like we're in the same world. Like maybe I'll see you at events kind of thing. And like I don't know, deranged. Like I got from this girl to like looking up and down but like me trying to like ask her questions about her type thing and extremely one sided. Like I just. And it sucks because I, I've seen her content for a while and I thought she was a really nice person. Now everyone is allowed to have off days but oh my gosh, like I just want to cry. That was awful.
B
I was in the asylums.
A
Yeah. And the comments were. It was refreshing.
B
Let me see the comments.
A
It was very divided, you know, half people being like, ah, mean girl energy. Some of you have never met a mean girl. Like honestly. Because the bar for like what's considered a mean girl these days, someone who just doesn't like eat your ass is so low. And then the other half were being like this is a really like mentally unwell take. And if you say you're a person who doesn't cry easily but this made you cry. I just feel like something's not adding up. The math isn't mathing.
B
Yeah. Justice for acquired.
A
Well then that's the other thing. When you don't name names it leads people to be like I feel like it was X. I feel like it was Y. And everyone was saying, acquired style. I mean, she literally had to get in the comments, being like, hello, this is not me. I'm sorry that this happened to you, but, like, please leave me alone. Excuse me from this narrative, one in which I never asked to be a part of. So it's like this to me. This is Mean girl.
B
Yeah.
A
Like, a lot. And the video went so viral. She has a platform. The girl who created the video, she's 100,000 followers. Like. Like, oh, my God, I hate. I hate. And then people are like, I had a bad interaction with an influencer.
B
Like, even if all of those things happened, this person doesn't owe you anything. Like, yeah, maybe they could be kinder. But, like, again, you're a stranger.
A
Like, literally on the street.
B
Like, don't talk to strangers.
A
Right. Stranger danger.
B
Stranger danger. But it's also a lot of her perception. Like, she looked me up and down.
A
Like, she was just moving her eyes.
B
Grain of salt.
A
Yeah. Yeah.
B
You know, your eyes blink thousand milliseconds.
A
A thousand percent projection.
B
So no. That's a no for me.
A
Yeah. Agreed.
B
Team acquired.
A
That's what's going on on TikTok today.
B
It makes me so glad that I'm not on TikTok, because, like, those things are not real. No, they're not a real thing.
A
Yeah.
B
In terms of, like, tangible things.
A
Things in the world, in the earth.
B
That's not one of them. No, there's no there. There.
A
There is this, like, obsession with New York City influencers, though. Like, there's always, like, viral things. Remember when they said the New York City influencers are boring?
B
I'm obsessed.
A
So I'll continue to keep you abreast.
B
I do love influencer drama. I don't know if our audience, like, loves it as much as we do, but.
A
Oh, they do.
B
I can't imagine who wouldn't love it.
A
Because it's literally high school. Right? Like, it's just the. That happened in high school. On a bigger level. I love influencer drama. I will never not subscribe. And I feel like our listeners love influencer drama, too. I feel like we're always, like, being asked to, like, include more influencer stories. And here's my platform once again, for, like, news outlets to, like, start writing it up. Because we can only report on the news.
B
That gets so much of it is.
A
Like, niche, chronically online.
B
It's, like, things that aren't said. Like, what's the drama here? She looked her up and down.
A
Hu wreck.
B
So how can someone really write something like that?
A
What's the crime? What's the headline?
B
Right.
A
Yeah.
B
Or like so and so didn't like each other's photo. Like, it's all. We all see it, we feel it. But it's hard to put to words when you know the girls are fighting. But what do we really know? And the way people fight these days, it's like no one unfollows each other.
A
Right.
B
They don't block each other. They don't leave mean comments. It's just like a ghosting.
A
Yeah. Like a disappearing act.
B
Yeah. Yeah. Oh, so that's the latest. I guess we should get into the stories.
A
We do kind of have, like, a lot to do.
B
Spicy takes, you know, Now I'm like.
A
Realizing, like, some of them are not spicy.
B
Okay.
A
My one about Ashley just sounds not spicy. I'm realizing that now. So I just want to put that out there.
B
But you're saying there's more space to come.
A
Definitely.

We're huge fans of all of their bed accoutrement. And when it comes to beds, Jackie and I are sort of experts. We, we are a bed family as Susie Weiss called us. And I love that we spend a lot of time in bed and pillows, blankets, sheets, things of that nature. It's an art form. And it's an art form that Boland Branch has completely nailed. We both have their signature hem cheek collection. Really aesthetic. They come in tons of different colors, every size bed. No matter what type of bed you have. I recently went from like white sheets to an off white. I believe the color I got was natural. Really like elevated the aesthetic of my bed. Bullenbrand signature sheets have comfort and quality beyond imagination. Their art is in woven with the finest 100% organic cotton. B
Our first story. I'm going to bump to the first. Ashley Tisdale is exposing her toxic celebrity mom group filled with quote, mean girl behavior and high school like isolation. So Ashley Tisdale in the run up in the last few weeks has been talking about leaving her toxic mom friend group.
A
Have you and I spoken about this on the toast? Because I know I explained the saga to you, but I can't remember if it was on Patreon.
B
I don't remember if it was toaster Patreon. So why don't you just brief explain it for those who were once like me.
A
So Ashley Tisdale posted like a carousel of photos on TikTok on Instagram referencing a blog post that she had written on her website. And the blog post was titled, you know it's okay to leave your Toxic mom group. And it was just about how she had a mom group. And, you know, it turned a little bit like caddy high school people hanging out without one another, gossiping and. And, you know, she took her power back by leaving this group and who gives a right? Like, cool. But it turns out people were very quick to realize that she was a part of this, like, very celebrity mom group where a bunch of moms, Mandy Moore, Hillary Duff, some like, athletes, chefs, people like, I don't personally know, but impressive people who all had babies around the same time. I believe during COVID they became us, like, cute little mom group. They had music classes at Hillary Duff's house. And they were always, like, doing press. You know, Mandy was on the Jennifer Hudson show talking about it. So we've like, known about this group. They take trips. They wear matching outfits.
B
It looks like mom talk. Just like a different elevated. What do they call it? Same. Different accent.
A
Yeah, sure. Different font.
B
Different font accent. Okay. I cried.
A
It's like a mom talk, you know, it's. It's good to have mom friends. It's a helpful big wear match.
B
You can sweat suit.
A
Exactly. They take trips to the cape.
B
They do music class at Hillary Dove's house. But now, like, Hillary, Meghan Trainor's in it.
A
Sorry, I forgot about her.
B
Hillary was saying recently, like, now they do gymnastics together. Kids have grown up together. They've just become besties along the way.
A
It's in, like, a fun thing for people to watch.
B
And I think also a lot of people can relate to that because even regulars, like, yes, mom friends, mom group.
A
And I guess, like, I haven't experienced this, but mom groups, like any group of friends, not like, you know, specific to moms, can turn toxic. Just like high school type of drama.
B
I think what makes it different is, like, these are always going to be like, later in life. Friends make them when you have kids. So it's like, like all of those dynamics from, like, high school and stuff for the first time happening in like.
A
A new friend environment.
B
Because it's based on when you have your kids, like, you all of a sudden, Right. You need someone who's like, kids, same month.
A
Yeah.
B
Because you can relate.
A
So she posted her blog post. I'm sure it was like, the most traction her blog had ever seen. People were like, really eating this up because this picture that you have of them all wearing matching outfits has taken over Thanksgiving. And her blog post came out, like, a little bit before Christmas. So it's like we were just all hanging out wearing matching Outfits. What happened on this girls trip?
B
Oh, that's really crazy.
A
So the Internet, like, went nuts. I'm sure this was, like, great for Ashley self her business. Like, everyone was finally, like, talking about her in, like, a fun way. None of the other girlies, like, responded or anything. And the situation did kind of die. It was like a fun Internet thing for a couple of days. But then Ashley, like, was a dog with a bone and would have let it go. She wrote, like, another article of the same theme, but she wrote it for the cut. So obviously like, like the cut saw, you know, this hot buzz issue. Ashley, you know, is in the cut. Wrote it again a couple of days ago. I don't know if it was the same article, but it was like the same vibe. You know, it's okay to leave your toxic friend group people, you know, hanging out without you, yada, yada.
B
Yeah. So this is what she said. She reflected on not feeling cool enough after being excluded from hangouts. In the piece, she recalled sitting alone one night after getting her daughter to bed, feeling totally lost as to what she was doing wrong. To be left out. She went on to text the group, this is too high school for me, and I don't want to take part in it anymore. Although she never considered the moms to be bad people, except for maybe one. She chose to cut ties with them after the dynamic, stop being healthy and positive. So I think, like most friend groups, how many women are here? It looks to be like 8, 8 to 10. And they would splinter off into subgroups of, like, people who got along. And then I think people would get together and she sort of fell through the cracks. Yeah, because they. That happens to the person that you.
A
Don'T mess, don't like, vibe with the most.
B
Who's that? Your fate like now?
A
I don't know if you have the update, like, as of this morning, like Ashley's, because then the Internet really started to speculate, like, this is such a big. You're making it such a big deal. What the fuck happened? And then a lot of people started to surmise that it was about politics and that Ashley is maga. And the girls dropped her because of that. And then Ashley's rep took to TMZ being like, ashley's not maga. She's a registered Democrat. And this is not about this mom group that everybody thinks it is.
B
It's about a different mom group.
A
So now she's lying. Like, there's no way. It's not about this group group. And because none of the girls have Unfollowed anyone. Like, but as you were just saying, like, fighting looks different these days. Like you don't unfollow. And I just, I know that this, you know, you know they had a chat without Ashley a while ago. I know that this chat without Ashley is blowing the up and they're like, so not regretting leaving her out because like, and the thing about, even before all of this, like, drama, I was not gonna be on Ashley's side because I always feel that if like a whole group drops you, like, like you're the problem. The group is not the problem. Now that's not like, that's a generalization. Not every situation, but for the most part, like, if everyone says you're dead, like roll over.
B
And there's not a good way to go about saying, like, we don't, like, we don't enjoy you.
A
You know what I mean? It's our viral sound. Click's gonna click. No, but normalize having a click and normalize. Like, not everybody being best friends, this.
B
Is in high school. But normalize, like not pursuing close friendships with people that you don't deeply connect with and that you don't enjoy. Like, I've met people where I'm like, like, you're a lovely person. I don't like enjoy spending the time with you and I'm not going to invest in that. Yeah.
A
And I think like, when people make comparisons to high school and when we're talking about being like clicks in high school, we're, we're still developing. Right. And so it is the right. You should be inclusive of other people and you should reach out and you should be kind. But now, like, we're all 30 year old women. It's exactly that. They're moms, they work, they have full lives. Pursuing friendships just to be nice is really not what 30 year old women are doing.
B
There's no time for that.
A
There's no time for that. And so, so I don't know, I'm just getting the vibe based on Ashley's behavior right now and the fact that everybody dropped her that like she is insufferable.
B
Yeah. Or not even insufferable, but just like, not the funnest, funniest. Coolest. Yeah. And so she feels uncool.
A
No, I think it's more than that. Because like, yes, in big groups, I.
B
Think that there's someone that would then go one first, text the group and be like, I cannot be doing this anymore, and then write like two articles. Like maybe they were right in their.
A
Correct the Thing is, with big groups, people splinter off. So it's not a big deal that, like, two or three people hang out. You connect with different people. But the fact that everybody was wanting to not hang out with her just makes me think that there's something a little bit deeper and more sinister going on. Because it's not like one or two people were really tight with her.
B
No, I think. I don't. I don't think there's something, like, deep and sinister or something happened. Like, I think she's kind of the woat.
A
No, that's what I'm saying.
B
But it's like, whoa.
A
No, but in big groups, like, yes, people splinter off, but the fact that nobody splintered off with her. She sucks.
B
Yes, she sucks, but, like, not something deeper than that.
A
No, no, nothing happened. But, like, yeah, she sounds like she sucks. And also, if there's a group of people who are leaving me out. And she said, like, she reached out a couple of times when she thought people were hanging out without her, and everybody was like, wait, I thought Sarah texted you?
B
Or whatever.
A
They would, like, gaslight her, which is, like, so up.
B
No, but I'm sorry. What else are you supposed to do?
A
We don't like you. We didn't want to invite you.
B
Not an easy way to say to someone, like, I don't want to spend the time with you.
A
And so if I was a part of a group of friends that I found out were, like, not wanting to hang out with me, I. Maybe we're just different people. I would never. You would just never see me again. I would be humiliated, first of all. And second of all, like, I have no interest in hanging out with people that do not want to hang out without me. And that's just sort of been, like, my vibe my whole life.
B
I don't want you to change your behavior and start, like, think remembering to include me.
A
No. And then I'm being included. It's charity. I'm good. Like, I seriously. I will make new friends. I will move to a new city. That's just me. So the way that she's gone about handling this is so the opposite of what I would do. Not only, like, texting everyone that you're leaving. It's not an airport. You don't need to announce your departure like, no one's. We're fine. But also then writing multiple articles and using it for attention, like, it's. This is not a good look for Ashley French. Whatever her new name is. Tisdale French.
B
Cool. In, like, a. You know, people say, like, not cool. Not cool.
A
Yeah.
B
That's not what I mean.
A
It's not a cool thing to do.
B
And I think. Not two separate words. It's not not cool.
A
I think when she first wrote it, it was under this mask of, like, female empowerment.
B
Like, sort of telling power back. Yeah.
A
Take telling other women. Like, maybe you also find yourself, like, caught in a toxic cycle with this mom group. But, like, you can leave, like.
B
Yeah.
A
It's like a reminder. It's sort of like how I feel. Like, oh, you don't like your double chin? Like, get liposuction. Like, it's a reminder. Like, you don't have to live with this sort of toxic thing. And now I'm feeling like that was just a veil and she's just wanting to start stuff and, like, be a victim.
B
And I can understand how when you go back to evaluating whether people are cool or not, not that that feels like high school, because we haven't done that since high school. But.
A
But that's a projection. Nobody said she wasn't cool. She just didn't feel cool enough because she wasn't invited. Yeah.
B
Right. And the thing is, there are less cool groups, like, yeah.
A
Like Z listers, the Z list, moms. I'm in that group. Like, invite me.
B
Yeah. So, yes, anytime. We're evaluating your coolness. That's mean girl. That's high school mean girl behavior. Sure. It's also, like, human nature, I guess.
A
Yeah.
B
Because you don't want to spend your time with someone that you don't connect with, especially at this stage in life.
A
Especially with your kids. Like, it's so personal.
B
And some people have, like, mom energy. I've experienced this before where I'm like, what's mom energy? No, no, they have their energy as a mother. Is not mine, of course. And I'm like, oh, no, no, no. I. I don't want to be around this. Yeah, of course.
A
It's so personal, like, who you decide to be friends with later in life while also incorporating your children.
B
It's just unfort that nine out of the 10 celebrities who had children in all of the same elk and mom energy. And the one is not.
A
Yeah.
B
If only she had a buddy.
A
Yeah. And I'm saying the fact that she didn't have a buddy is the biggest red flag here. Not one person who, like, stood up for her, as far as we know.
B
I'm sure someone did. I'm sure there was a someone. And then Hillary Duff was like, no.
A
Yeah. Hillary Duff runs the show, and Mandy Moore is, like, second in command. The rest just follow. Like, Megan Trainer is like, okay, what time are we meeting?
B
Just so you know, the Tiz no longer follows Hillary Duff anymore, and she does still follow Meghan trainor. So you're 100.
A
Oh. So Megan was like, the one who's like, guys, can't we all work it out?
B
You're like, shut up, Megan.
A
Yeah, right.
B
Yeah, right.
A
Oh, my God.
B
No.
A
I'm like, this has been such. Okay, so what's my take? Spicy at all?
B
No, but I feel like streets. If the streets are being, like, really?
A
And I feel like people are gonna say, like, that we're being mean.
B
I. I don't think we're being mean. I. I haven't said a mean thing. I just said, like, we did say she sucks. And, like, is a woe to not. Yeah. Emotional sense. But she's obviously cool. She's in High School Musical. She's a celebrity.
A
Like, right. She was cool enough to be a part of the group.
B
I looked at her page yesterday. I haven't, like, seen what she's up to in a while. Like, she gardens. She's got it all going on. She's a beautiful kitchen and family and a beauty company. Like, you know, so she's crushing it. But on a person, even personality level, like, when it's not a match at this stage in life.
A
Oh, no, no, no. Yeah. And I do feel like the women who were, like, making the decision as to whether or not her. Yeah. They are sleeping soundly, knowing that was the right decision because she's, like, shown a little bit of, like, a crazy side.
B
And you know that Hillary Duff is the leader in this group because the music classes were at her house.
A
Well, we know it for a multitude of reasons. Like, she's the most famous.
B
Yeah.
A
She's the coolest one.
B
I don't know who these other people are, but, like, someone could be, like, a billionaire here for sure.
A
But, like, fame. They all live in la. Fame is, like, the most important thing to done. So her and Mandy Moore. But I think Mandy Moore, like, doesn't care as much. I could see Hilary Duff being, like, a little, like, obsessed, like, with, like, you know, the group. I just feel like Mandy Moore is, like, the cool one who's just, like, hair is very little.
B
Yeah. And she's a little bit older. Correct.
A
She's a little bit too mature for, like, this.
B
So she's a little more removed. It just makes me realize, like, this girl.
A
I need a celebrity mom group. I need a celebrity mom group.
B
Okay.
A
Yeah.
B
What about Me?
A
Yeah, it's just like. Like, we need more. Who's not a group. Who, like, had a baby around similar time. Shannon, of course.
B
Oh, yeah, actually, we kind of do.
A
The Taylors now, Lauren.
B
Yeah, we do, we do.
A
But it's like we start a group chat.
B
I feel like, like watching the group chat called Celebrity Moms.
A
Okay, wait, let's see if like our. Because I know a lot of our friends, like, listen to the toast and this will be like a test, like, who listens.
B
But I think all celebrity mom groups, like, also have a couple, like, normal people.
A
Yeah, of course. No, we have to throw Dana in there. Like, she's our normie. But wait, hold on.
B
But she's. She has a podcast, so she's this.
A
Oh, true, true. Wait, I was just gonna say one thing.
B
Let's see which of our friends.
A
No, before that.
B
Who else do you want to invite to our group? And it's just a group chat at this point.
A
Oh, the Kardashians made me realize, like, we don't have enough group chats.
B
Yeah, I agree. But so it's a group chat at this point, and then, like, maybe if it like, it really takes off, like, we could go on a trip.
A
Oh, my God, I would love that. What's the name of our group?
B
Celebrity Moms.
A
Love it. Should I start it right now?
B
Yeah, and you have to be the.
A
One to start it.
B
You're Hillary Duff and I'm man, you're so Mandy Moore.
A
Okay, so Shannon, who's Ashley Tisdale?
B
We'll find out. Stay tuned.
A
Jackie, Olivia, who else? Should we do this later? Like, yeah, okay.
B
Like Lauren Elizabeth. Then we could also, like, I know which moms, like, had babies when I. You, like, you might talk to people on Instagram who had a baby when you did.
A
I do.
B
Like Lauren, Elena.
A
Lauren, Elena. We literally, we had babies like the same day.
B
Yeah, yeah. And it's funny, like, I have like fellow influencers who I had babies the same time as. Who? Like, like Raven.
A
Okay, you know what? We need to chat offline because now it's getting like a little big not to be like Hillary, but we are gonna need to like.
B
Yeah, yeah. Celebrity moms.
A
Yeah.
B
Okay, well, good luck. Ashley Tisdale. I do hope that the right mom group finds you. Yeah. And also, so she has two kids. Like one who's four. That's the group. That's how she got into this group. But she also has a one year old, so like, maybe the friends she makes through her 1 year olds group.
A
Yeah. Are her forever Family, Right. Yeah.
B
Right. But this has been fun, so thank you.
A
I'm glad that, like, you were into this saga. Yeah, I was following it closely, and then I got political and I was like, oh, girl, get me out of here.
B
Though I. And I really don't think. I can't imagine that it's about politics. Like, I have more faith in humanity than that. That, like, women can get along.
A
Agreed.
B
Agree on everything.
A
Agreed.
B
But on its face, you know, writing two articles about how you left the group, like, is not the cool capital C thing to do.
A
No, someone in our mom group would never.
B
No, she would never. Oh, but we have to be aware of that.
A
I don't know. I feel like Shannon would. No kidding.
B
Are you ready for our next story? Tom Brady and Alex Earl. Update. TMZ is reporting that though the couple sparked a lot of buzz over New Year's Eve in St. Barts, there was no hookup. So TMZ initially broke the story of the video obtained of the two of them flirting in the club. But sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ the moment was nothing more than drunk, flirty fun. At the party, they're told Tom and Alex talk, dance, and flirted on the dance floor. And that's where it ended. No hookup, no late night rendezvous. In fact, they're told it was the first time they'd ever met.
A
Yeah, I feel like I would have guessed that. I don't know. Someone from one of their camps clarified and it was like, I feel like it was probably Tom Brady because this was like, for the most part, really positive fanfare for Alex. But it made Tom look like a creep, an old man. And so I think that the clarification came from his camp. Because letting people think you had sex with Tom Brady, like, there's no sweat off of Alex's back, even if you didn't. But as an almost 50 year old, like, letting the Internet think that you had sex with a 25 year old on vacation when you didn't does require clarification.
B
I actually think the opposite. Of course you do.
A
I think that you are literally Ashley Tisdale. Go.
B
I think that Alex didn't want to be, like, thought of to be with this old man in that sort of way. And I, for her, for him, like, he's 48. Dating 25 year olds, like, is a slay.
A
It's gross. Well, I think the people, like, maybe, maybe someone would think it's a slay. But the reaction online, like, was not positive.
B
Frontal lobe check. Beauty check.
A
You know, she turned 25, like a week ago. I think she was celebrating her birthday on that yacht.
B
She was celebrating the lobe.
A
Yeah. Yeah.
B
I think that for a man like him, like, that's what he's here to do now in his life. And I also think, you know, he has got a lot going on in his mind with the football and retirement and feeling old and this makes him feel young and this makes him look young. He thinks.
A
I think that it also was just sort of bad timing because we didn't even talk about, like the same week that this story came out, Giselle and her man got married.
B
Oh.
A
They had the baby. And then I think they just had like a small little ceremony, like to officially get married. So it's like they could not be doing more different things after their marriage.
B
Yeah.
A
So it really did not make him look good, this whole thing.
B
But also like, he hooked up with Brooks Nader. Like, this is his type of.
A
Yeah, But Brooks is 29. I don't know why Brooks feels so more mature.
B
Because we met Alex when she was in college, so.
A
Right. She's like eternally like a teenager.
B
Yeah, I agree, but.
A
And she represents Gen Z.
B
Like, I just want you to know, like, I think for Tom Brady, like, this is everything he's looking for.
A
She's gonna date Leon X. Like Victoria Coretti. Like, watch, pack your bags. Your time is up. You are the weakest leg.
B
Goodbye. No, but like, I hope not. And I feel like for her, her, she's not interested in old men. I feel okay.
A
Because what nobody's saying is it's yucky, like saggy old men. Like, who wants to lay with that?
B
Especially when like, not saying other women have other intentions, but like, she's a self made woman.
A
Right.
B
You know, she doesn't need, she doesn't money, she doesn't need any attention. She's got it all going on. So that's when you can, you know, you got your pick of the litter.
A
Yeah. Who do we see her with next? Like, I personally am over athletes for her and I'm not ever someone who's like shipping people with athletes with the exception of a couple of people, like, they don't make good boyfriends. It's like fun, content for a little while, but I just don't like it. So I think that like when she's very like, you know, barstool, smoke show. So I think that like she thinks she has to date an athlete, but I want her to know there's like opportunities elsewhere. And I, I don't, I don't want this for her.
B
There's other industries.
A
Yeah.
B
I'd really have to noodle on it. But I think that whoever she dates next, like, it'll be beautiful in its own way. That's like, like Glenn and Michelle. Glenn and Michelle have taught me that I can't predict anything, that I have to let the universe let things play out.
A
What about Zac Efron?
B
I'll always ship everyone with Zac Efron.
A
I know I watched Greatest Showman over the weekend in your house, but you literally did not come out of your bedroom. So I don't even know if you knew that I watched.
B
I did.
A
I Greatest Showman info on your couch.
B
I didn't know that you watched the whole thing. I was enjoying a contact nap.
A
It had been a while since I've seen that movie and obviously it was stands the test of time. It's the greatest movie ever made. But there's a couple of things that happen in that movie that are so crazy. Now. I know we all love, like, the most popular song is when the shops want to come down. And not enough people talk about what precedes that song in the movie, which is the group of, like, freaks being.
B
Crazy, like, and, like, storming.
A
They store the, like, opera party. Like that, like, high class affair. There were, like, literally Hugh Jackman's employees and, like, thinking that they deserved to, like, go to the opera. And they were acting so out of control with the free champagne and everything. It's like, it was just insane. Oh, and they had a show, so they had to work.
B
It was the 1800s.
A
Right.
B
Like, you're even applying, like, a modern. No, no, no, I'm not.
A
I'm just saying, like, strictly in a workplace situation, like, you are Hugh Jackman's employees. Hugh Jackman's other business is having, like, a high class affair. You are literally supposed to be on stage, but you're storming, acting inappropriate. Like, literally, like, tackling people. That's the tonic, Clay. And, like, mind you, like, you also have a beard. Like, it's just. It was insane. Right. And so then they leave.
B
It's not the most conventional.
A
No. Then they get kicked out. Out, rightfully so. Because they have to go to work and they're like, in this dark corridor being like, when the sharpest words want to cut me down. It's like, girl, get out of here. She was so wrong for that. And I just feel like the song took on a life of its own in culture as, like, anybody who's never, like, not fit in. But this wasn't a case of not fitting in. This was a case of, like, workplace disgruntled employees.
B
Yeah, I agree.
A
I just feel like that needed to be said after watching the movie with a pair of fresh eyes. And also, Zendaya should not have ended up with Zac Efron. Like, what he did to her was so bad. Like, being ashamed to be seen with her. Oh, my God. I could never.
B
Those two, like, that storyline in the movie, like, never did it for me. Rewrite the stars. Like, never did it for me.
A
Oh.
B
And. But it did it for a lot of people, and I feel like it brought a lot of people into the movie. So.
A
Yeah, I'll.
B
I'll accept.
A
You know, I've often said that Jenny Lind, I thought she was miscast, and I stand by that. But I also feel like Michelle Williams should not have been in that movie. Like, what was she doing?
B
Why do you feel like Jenny Lynn was miscast?
A
Because, like, when I see that woman, like, I know she's not singing. Do you know what I mean?
B
Oh, because you know she's not singing.
A
I didn't even know that she wasn't singing. I didn't know the whole story about Lauren Allred. Well, of course. But even if you're not, like, I just knew when I saw the movie. I'm like, you're not singing.
B
Like, I loved.
A
You're not a woman who sings. Like, even, like, her mannerisms when she was singing. I'm like, a person who sings doesn't move like that.
B
Oh, my God. I have no issues with Jenny.
A
I sing.
B
I know. I do agree with you about Michelle Williams, but she holds it down.
A
She was fine. Yeah, but it's a perfect movie.
B
It's so amazing. Yeah. And so Zac Efron and Alex are like, no.
A
Oh, that's how we got here.
B
Jacob Elordi, unemployed.
A
Uninspired.
B
Choice of the year.
A
Unemployment. Like, no, uninspired.
B
Like, when you think of, like, actors of her generation, like, it's Jacob and.
A
Austin, and I don't want that for her. That's so unoriginal.
B
I agree.
A
What else? Like, maybe someone in business.
B
Yeah, like, someone who's, like, a famous business person that, like, we wouldn't think of. But it's hard. Like, they're not so young.
A
Right. Or attractive.
B
I. Looks don't matter to you? No, in general, like, I agree. Actually, money matters more in personality, personhood. Right.
A
Status, your soul.
B
Like, I. I don't even see people's looks. I just want. And maybe I'm just so evolved but, like, once I know you, I only see who you are.
A
Okay. So on a personal level, I don't see people's looks. I really don't in media, like, I see everyone.
B
You see.
A
I've got 2020 vision who they really are, which is ugly.
B
Yeah, I understand. I guess I'm just more evolved.
A
Yeah, for sure.
B
It is what it is.
A
Yeah.
B
Are you ready for our next story? Amanda Seyfried is being weird again. She thought Timothee Chalamet shout out to Kylie Jenner was for an actual foundation. She said says, so the con.
A
Okay, sorry, you go.
B
So someone posted a clip of Timothy saying what he said to Kylie, which.
A
I've watched, like now 100 times.
B
I love you. Thank you for our foundation. And she commented saying, oh, not like a foundation slash charity. I was curious about that.
A
So this reminded me. And I actually sent you this story because I wanted to talk about it because I know you don't know this, but over the December shows, I recently became obsessed with this memory that I had. Do you remember we reported on it? We're probably the only people to report on it. When Amanda Seyfried, like, woke up one day and decided to cyberbully Ariel Charnis, I remembered that that happened the other day. And then I was like, talking about on the toast and actually I made a tick tock about it and Ariel commented, like, yeah, that was like, really crazy. They had, like, no personal connection. They did not know each other. And all of a sudden, like, what.
B
Was she on her case about?
A
It was about working out, bouncing back after pregnancy. And Ariel Chartis has actually been really open about the fact, like, she's just like, hella naturally skinny. Like, she works out, but she eats, like, fine.
B
She's natural.
A
It just works for her. And Amanda Seyfried, like, commented, oh, I think actually it was a picture that Ariel Charnis posted about how she's, like, so proud of her beautiful body. Like, her body's giving her three babies. It was like a beautiful thing. And also, like, Amanda Seifried and her don't know each other. And then Amanda Seyfried commented, like, it's like, easy to have it when you have money and nanny. First of all, are you homeless? You also have money and nannies, like, chill. Second of all, lead Ariel Charles alone.
B
Is the voice of the people. Don't you know?
A
Not my people, not any people that I know. And so I wanted to choose a story and one of my, like, unsavory, spicy things that I wanted to say And I feel like it's taken me a while to come to this, because it's been a. It's been a couple of things. This Ariel Turner thing, which I never forgot about. Like, I'm still at the restaurant. Then a couple of weeks ago, she was doing press for the housemaid, and this clip of her on, like, cbs. Good Day Morning with Gail.
B
Cbs.
A
Good morning. Hello to you, cbs. Gail's morning cup of coffee went viral. She was being so weird. Like, just weird, quirky weird. And then this. I just wanted to make it known because I feel like I always make it known when I don't like someone. Like, I officially really don't like Amanda Seyfried. I feel like if I met her, we would. She would hate me. And right back.
B
Hate you.
A
She would hate me. I hate her. And I've just seen a lot of things from her, and I think she's insufferable.
B
Yeah.
A
A lot of it has to do with her online Persona and what's Minji? So that's the other thing.
B
I feel like she, like, hides behind Minji.
A
This screenshot went viral of her comment, and her username is at M I N G E Y. So I was like, why does everybody care about this random troll? Like, literally, like, seriously, who cares? And then I forget, maybe Liz woods posted that it was Amanda Seifer. And I was like, oh, yeah, that is her. And that was her username when she became for Ariel Charnis, too.
B
Okay. What does mine Minji like? Her being Minji reminds you of Mitchie.
A
Torres from Camp Rock.
B
Oh, no, no, no, no. Like, her being Minji is like another celebrity being Bad Gallery Ray. No, I know.
A
It's gonna come to me.
B
Let me know.
A
Like, we call them by their username.
B
We don't call them. It's like, they just, like, behave differently. Like, their Instagram is, like, their personal ego with a different name, though. Vancini Reynolds.
A
Thousand percent. This is so Van City of her.
B
So Van City.
A
Yeah. Because, like, when Van City is on his Van City, he's, like, verbally abusing his wife on social media in, like, the name of comedy. Whereas, like, Ryan Reynolds would never do that. Right, Yeah, I agree. It's like a terrible alter ego. Mindy is like, a troll.
B
Whereas, like, Vancity Reynolds sounds like a troll.
A
Vancity Reynolds, like, exclusively uses that username to troll his wife.
B
Right.
A
Whereas Minji uses her username to, like, troll people in media.
B
Yeah. So do you want to break down the comment or not?
A
Like, so, no, it's, like, also Not a good funny take. It's like a dumb.
B
Right? Either. Like, you really thought he was talking about the foundation that he started with Kylie Jenner.
A
But, like, anyone who has a firm grip on the English language would know he was talking to a person. Because he says to my foundation, it's like, okay, yes. For half a second, you could think he's talking about, like, you know, the Red Cross, but then he goes, I love you.
B
Yeah.
A
Like he was talking to a person. Oh. And then they cut to Kylie and she says, I love you back.
B
Like, that's sad on that.
A
I actually.
B
If.
A
If she actually thought this. I do worry for her.
B
Like, that's because I don't know how.
A
Somebody could, like, memorize enough lines to be in a movie but not understand, like, this one offhand remark. So she's, like, trying to be funny. It's not landing. I'm just finding her annoying recently. Like, I. She's on my list. And just so you know, like, being on my list is not a permanent thing. Most people don't get off, but it is possible.
B
Oh, yeah. All the time. Sam Hunt.
A
So there's one Selena Gomez was on my list. I took her off, and now she's way back on it.
B
She's on and off again. No.
A
But I feel like she's pretty on permanently now. But there is, like, historical proof of people being off the list. List.
B
Yeah.
A
So maybe if Amanda Seyfried would, like, just be quiet, she could get off the list.
B
Yeah.
A
I need to see the housemaid Me as well.
B
And I think with, like, the movie coming out, there's just a lot of Mana cipher. So, like, maybe after that there'll be less. Are you ready for our fourth story?

B
Thank you.
A
My pleasure.
B
Take you to Aspica.
A
So I was meaning to ask you, is it painful for you, like, when I flub my words during the ads that you. You can't make fun of me?
B
Yeah. That was, like, a really rough run.
A
I know. And I was thinking on, like, it was bringing me joy, like, knowing that you couldn't.
B
That I can't stop you.
A
However, you can't stop the beat.
B
Making fun of word flubs does not bring me as much joy as it brings me. Yeah, you don't let anyone get away with anything. Minor infractions. You love it.
A
No, I'll make a feast off of it.
B
For years. Yeah. So, I mean, parsed.
A
Parsed.
B
That tells of me.
A
Yeah.
B
Let's get into our fourth story. Yeah, yeah, that's where we got our ears.
A
Parsed.
B
Ariana Grande is going viral for adorably fangirling over Leighton Meester in a must see moment at the Critics Choice Awards. Now I want to get your take on.
A
Do I think Leighton was making fun of her?
B
Sort of like, like, was. Do you think there was anything, like, remotely unkind in Leighton's response? So they just, like, cross paths on the red carpet at the Critics Choice Awards. Ari, like, sees Leighton and she's, like, a big fan. Wow, wow, wow. And we know that, like, Ari is, like, a millennial to her core. And she obviously loved the Gossip Girl. And so then Leighton, like, sees her say that, and she just, like, says to the person sitting next to her publicist, wow, wow, wow. Like, she just sort of, like, echoed that. I don't want to say, mimic, imitate echoed what was in Leighton's heart. How could we ever know?
A
I, like, can't get a read on Leighton Meester as a person. And I think that's, like, hard when you play, like, such an iconic character. Everybody thinks she's like, Blair. Like, Blair would do this.
B
She's not Blair.
A
It's, like, disappointing how little like Blair.
B
She hates Blair.
A
She hates Blair. Like, she would never, like, I feel like Leighton is, like, a communist. Do you know What I mean. And, like, not that I know anything about her personal politics. I just mean, like, Blair was so, like, capitalist. Exactly. So I just think that they're polar opposites. I don't know if she was making fun of Ariana Grande. I can't imagine that she would be that stupid. Like, in front of cameras, in front of Ariana. Ariana is, like, still three feet from her. I also, like, this story is, like, eating up the Internet. Like, I personally don't care. Do you know what I mean? The Critics Choice Awards, like, I don't know. I kind of have beef with.
B
Yeah, I don't have beef with them. Like, I'm happy that there's, like, more awards for people to receive and to.
A
Make speeches about their partner of three years.
B
And the Critics Choice Awards gave us that right. And I will always love the Critics Choice Awards for that. An instance like this, it is impossible for us to know what's in Leighton's heart. It could have gone so many different ways. And, like, I think projecting any, like, ill intent onto it is, like, how things get misconstrued. Like, the. Like, it goes back to the influencer. And she looked me up and down.
A
Like the farmer in the dell.
B
So I get. Also don't know Leighton in a personal way. I agree with you. She's not what you, like, like, assume that she's going to be.
A
Right. Like, she's not. Yeah.
B
Like, and I don't know what she is, but I know what she isn't.
A
Yeah.
B
And she isn't Blair.
A
Yeah. There's, like, two routes to take when you play, like, an iconic character. And I feel like she's. Okay. So, like, on one side is, like, being obsessed, leaning in all the time, like, very much like, what Miley's doing with Hannah right now. But she's had her journey to get there.
B
Years of rejecting Hannah. Right.
A
And then there's people who, like, run from the thing. They don't want to be asked about it. Impressed. They don't reference it. Yada, yada, yada.
B
And I reference or not reference. Correct.
A
So if I feel like if Hannah Montana's on the right over here and on the left, like, who's somebody who, like, never.
B
Who, like, hates.
A
Who hates the thing that they did? I would. I would just say I feel like Leighton's, like, center left.
B
Agreed.
A
Like, she doesn't hate Blair, but she's not, like, excited by it. She doesn't want to, like, she doesn't.
B
Like, go on Instagram and, like, post Blair quotes as her Caption.
A
And she'll answer the question if she gets asked at an interview. But I know, like, her publicist is telling the call. The publicist is being like, let's not focus on. Yeah. So that's not what we want from, like, our. Our beloved characters. But she's a human being, and, like, that's how she's working through it. And it is what it is. I also feel like there's, like, a lot that went on on Gossip Girl, like, behind the scenes, but all that you say some somebody. I read this in a tick tock comment, so take it like, with the grain of salt. But somebody said that, like, wow, wow, wow is like a Blair Waldorf reference. And then they were, like, doing Blair there.
B
So Ariana was doing there. And so you're saying in that split second, like, she knew.
A
Like, that's just what somebody said.
B
I also feel like Ariana is, like, a reference queen.
A
Right?
B
Much like us.
A
Jennifer Coolidge. Like, no.
B
But, like, I feel like she knows all the quotes.
A
No, she's, like, always quoting Jennifer. Big time magazine editor.
B
Like, 7 Rings music video.
A
Yes.
B
Everything. And, like, she's so swirly in that.
A
Yes, yes.
B
So that could be a. Blair is.
A
A. I don't know how it is. And I just rewatched Gossip Girl, but.
B
Unfortunately, we all, like, have to just let this go. We can't assign any malice to it or even any, like, positivity.
A
I don't have proof either way. And I also, like, I don't know. I just don't really care about this one. I can't explain it.
B
Yeah, okay.
A
You know, but, like, maybe she did. You think maybe she didn't.
B
But, like, why would she, like, be mean about Ariana Grande? Like, being excited to see her? Like, she's literally on a red carpet.
A
Not only does that make no sense. She was calling her beautiful. Not only does that make no sense, but also why would she do it in front of Ariana? Like, why don't you wait till, like, you're in the car and then make fun of her?
B
Yeah. I mean, but you're on a red carpet. That's when you're, like, prepared for all of that. Like, I could imagine, like, on the sidewalk. It's like, oh, don't look at me.
A
Yeah.
B
On the red carpet. Like, that's what we came here for.
A
Okay, Devil's advocate. Well, the opposite Angels advocate. Like, I don't think that Leighton Meester is, like, a mean girl, but I also don't think she's, like, hella friendly.
B
Yeah.
A
So I don't know. I could see her, like, you know, I don't know if I talk about this long enough, I'll just, like, end up believing that she was saying. And I actually don't. I don't. No, I think it's like, nothing. It's a nothing burn.
B
Like, why would she be mad about the fact that Ari was like, wow, wow, wow, right?
A
And yes, like, Leighton and Adam Birdie are having a moment and they're, like, famous, but, like, Ariana Grande is, like, one of the biggest stars in the world. So, like, you would just be. You would be excited that she's excited. Yeah, only like a crazy person would, wouldn't.
B
I agree.
A
I. If I had my gavel, I would say officially nothing.
B
Burger. Yeah. No, no time served.
A
We should bring our gavels back.
B
I don't know. I feel like we're so evolved. No.
A
Not to, like, bang them, but, like, we have these, like, shelves behind us.
B
Part of our herstory.
A
Do you know where they are?
B
Probably your studio.
A
Oh, okay.
B
Are you ready for our fifth and final story? And something that I predicted, the year of the crack says that 2026 is going to be the year of the crack. Now, I said that I noticed a.
A
You did. Jackie literally said, like, six months ago.
B
I said, like, cracks are in. Cracks are coming in, like the.
A
It was like Milan Fashion Week or something.
B
Yeah. I said, crack is the new cleavage. And now Vogue is saying that as well. And now everyone hears it when I said it. I'm crazy.
A
No, it's actually so crazy that you predicted this. And if I ever felt like I wasn't relating to, like, my fellow man, this just even, you know, cements that even further.
B
Do you feel the urgent urge to show crack? Like a little window in your pant?
A
Like, you know that I don't.
B
Little V window. Show a little crack.
A
No, crack is beautiful. Crack is beautiful. Crack is actually whack. It is. And I won't be doing crack. I won't be showing crack. I will not be engaging in crack, like, behavior. And now I guess she's on crack.
B
Yeah. Even the references that they have here of the cracks on the Runway, the cracks on the red carpet, it.
A
So there's only one reference.
B
Haley Bieber and thong. But that's thong, not crack.
A
Exactly.
B
So if we're going to get crack, see her crack.
A
Oh, that wasn't even the one I was talking about.
B
And that's a couple years ago.
A
So it's a really, really low back dress that does not show her crack. But where her crack would be, there's, like, a little fake thong. Yeah. It was so gorgeous.
B
This is.
A
Yeah. Zoe Kravitz at the Vanity Fair Oscar party. That's not crack. That's tushy. That whole ass is out.
B
This is crack realized.
A
I just feel like I'm trying to be positive here. So if it is, in fact, the year of the crack, I don't know, even, like, the sexiest person in the world, Like, I don't want to see your ass. Like, I just don't. Man, woman, child. Like, I don't care.
B
Yeah. It's private parts. You know, Cue wrecked.
A
And I think this is another one of my Spicy takes in 2026. Let's keep our private parts private. It.
B
Okay.
A
Like, I don't want to see your ass. I don't want to see your nipples. Unless you're breastfeeding, and then I want to see them all. I don't want to see your coochie, your hoochie, your penis, your balls. Like, keep it to yourself.
B
Okay. I mean, I think that's like, a very. A standard take, you know, it's the story of Adam and Eve.
A
Yeah. Put some leaves over your titties, girl. Like, get out of here.
B
Yeah. So 2026 is the year of a crack. Tag us if you're wearing your crack out.
A
And I here I was thinking it was the year of the dragon. Like, I'm just so crazy.
B
Are you ready for Dear Toasters, I am.
A
Our weekly advice segment where Jackson. I just do our best to help our community. I feel like our community is always showing up for us. And, you know, on Tuesdays, we like to show up for.
B
In addition to doing, like, the most amazing show, of course. Make you laugh.
A
Amazing merch that never shows up. Like, you know, that's not true. It just takes, like, a couple of weeks.
B
Some people have had bad experiences, but.
A
Like, overall, like, thousands are fine. Yeah, we're sorry about that. We're, like, like, actually working out. No.
B
It makes us sick.
A
And if you want to, like, be mad at somebody, like, be mad at the Postmaster General.
B
Like, right when it gets, like, lost in shipping. Like, really? Whose fault is that?
A
Yeah. And I also. I do want you to, like, think about blaming President Chi. Like, it's a lot of him, too, because a lot of things are happening in China.
B
Oh, you think so? Even though our merch is made in America.
A
Yeah. But, like, we definitely get some from overseas.
B
And then it's made here.
A
Is it?
B
Some of it.
A
It's really good stuff. Okay, so our weekly advice segment, Dear Toasters, where you can write into deartoastersmail.com or you can head over to our website, thetoastpodcast.com and use a little submission box. Both methods are completely anonymous, and we will help you out from anything from, you know, is your mom group toxic or are you showing too much crack? Like, we're gonna help you out. So here are the submissions for today. Hello, girlies. A couple of nights ago, my husband invited two couple friends to a college basketball game. My husband is a huge basketball guy. We even gave them our extra tickets for free because we thought it would just be, like a fun group out. I assumed that we were all riding separately and meeting at the arena, but the plot is, when we got there, we realized that the other two couples had met up beforehand, gone out to dinner, and arrived as one cute little foursome. There was no, hey, want to grab food, or, hey, we're meeting up first. Nothing. I told myself to let it go until today when they started posting pictures from their night, just the four of them, with captions like, date night. As if we weren't all at the same event, as if we literally did not provide the tickets for free. So please tell me, am I unwell? Is this mean girl behavior? Is this red flag that I need new friends, or am I overreacting, acting?
B
You've been used, my friend.
A
Yeah. The interesting thing, though, is that she. The way she described is my husband invited two couple friends. So do you know these girls? Like, or, like, are they going out with their husband's friend? Do you know what I mean? Like, yeah, it could have been, like, super, super nice of them to invite you to dinner, or this was, like, your first time meeting. Like, they.
B
We do require a little more context, but if you're. This is just. Just poor etiquette, like, you should. The invitation should have been extended to you. If they were doing, like, a roundup of the evening on Instagram, like, yeah, there should have been a photo with you guys in it. And the fact that there wasn't, like, we don't need to send them to jail, but it's just a signal that they're, like, not really about you and you should take that cue.
A
Like, and I just want to say it actually is a signal that they're mean. Because even, like, if you don't get along with somebody, when somebody gives you free tickets, you, like, tag them on Instagram, it's like, move on with your life.
B
Like, yeah, even if they didn't get. What if they didn't get a photo with her?
A
Maybe, like, thanks for the amazing night at Jackie.
B
Oh, like, yeah.
A
Fact that they didn't.
B
They don't know her so well. So, like, they didn't get, like, I don't always, like, take pictures.
A
Selfie. But you would, like, if somebody brought you to, like, a suite.
B
Okay.
A
And you posted pictures with Zach and somebody else you knew in the suite, you would tag, like, thank you at Olivia. I don't know why I'm, like, only using our family for the amazing night.
B
Yeah, I think that I would.
A
Of course, that's just, like, sort of social media etiquette. So the fact that they didn't, like, these girls are mean and they didn't vibe with you, so how you react is very Ashley Tizio.
B
I didn't say they didn't vibe with you when, like, the crime was committed, before they even. Even technically met you at the game.
A
Well, depending on how. How well you know them.
B
Yeah.
A
If you don't know them that well, then we went to dinner before is not weird. But then them posting on Instagram like, you weren't even there is rude.
B
Yeah.
A
And how you react, like, I. I think you should never see these again.
B
Yeah.
A
You don't need to send a text message being like, I'm not leaving. This is serving me.
B
Why don't you guys don't, like, take your cue.
A
Yeah, take your cue.
B
You.
A
All right, next up, one of my guy friends just got married, but he's recently started kissing, like, making out with other guys at parties. So at first everybody thought this was a joke, but they started doing it more and more. And the kisses turned from pecs to borderline makeouts. Because a few of our friends have witnessed the behavior. Everyone is talking about it, and it's become a huge elephant in the room, to say the least. My loyalty does lie with him. I do not care what his sexuality is, but I am uncomfortable not knowing if his new wife is aware of this or not.
B
Not why is he at parties without his new wife?
A
It almost feels like a cry for help and not an open relationship type of thing. I could be wrong. Should I bring this up to him and see what he has to say or leave it alone?
B
I would say leave it alone, but why is his new wife not at parties with him? How many parties is he going to newly married without his wife?
A
Now, this is where, like, I had one of the, like, spicier things to say, and I don't know if I want to say it.
B
Why don't you. We could always cut it out.
A
Okay.
B
Okay.
A
Tell me if this is crazy. I understand that, like, it's really complicated to come out. There's so many things, like family, friends. What will people think? I do feel like, as a society, like, we're really evolved. And, like, for the most part, yeah, there's still, like, crazy, terrible people, but for the most part, it's like, you're gay. Like, literally, who cares? That's amazing. Wonderful. If you enter into a marriage with someone knowing that you are gay. I feel like. Like, for a while, like, we gave leniency. It's like, well, he didn't know, or, like, whatever. I feel like at some point, like, I want to hold you responsible. Like, that's sort of, like an evil thing to do. And I know, like, it's complicated and you're on your own journey, but, like, to bring somebody else into that just to sort of COVID up what you're dealing with. Like, I don't know. I feel like it's really wrong. And so I don't know if this girl knows. I don't know the situation here. But, like, if he is, like, why should this girl waste her youth on somebody who's not really in the marriage? I feel like she should know.
B
Oh.
A
And then if it's, like, years later, he comes out and, like, she wasted, like, the prime years of her life and everybody who's making out with guys at partying, like, she didn't know. I don't know. I feel like it's kind of fucked up.
B
I. I like that take of. You should tell her. I wasn't even thinking of that. I was just sort of gonna be like, let, you know, why is she not at parties with him?
A
Right.
B
That makes me feel like they're. What do they call it? A lavender.
A
Lavender marriage.
B
That's something.
A
Well, maybe that's what's happening here. And then, like, you don't need to tell her.
B
Well, no, you can still tell her just to, like, do the thing that you would want done to you.
A
Yeah.
B
I just think the fact that. And where. How many parties are.
A
Right. Right. It sounds fun. Like, who goes?
B
So many parties. Yeah.
A
Maybe they're younger. But I just feel like there was a time when, like, men would, like, leave marriages of, like, 40, 50 years and, like, come out, and it was like there was nothing they could have done 40, 50 years ago. They did what they had to do. I just feel like that's not the world anymore.
B
No. If it's, like, safe enough to make out at parties.
A
Right, Right.
B
A man then, like, these are. This is your community. And no one's like, oh, that's so, like, don't do that.
A
Right, sinner?
B
Right. Yeah.
A
I don't know. I'm like, I kind of feel like the grace period for that is a little bit over. And you do. Like, you have every right to live your truth or not. Or not, but to bring someone else and, like, make them be married to you when it's, like, not a truthful marriage. I don't know. I'm like, starting to feel like. Like we have. We. We owe.
B
Well, here's the thing. If he was going to these parties and making out with the girls, like, kissing his girlfriends, why is this different? Setting it to be a little much and she's not at the parties. The whole thing is so weird. Weird. Yeah, I guess. Tell her. Just because, first of all, like, I know he's your friend, but, like, how close can you really be with a man who's married?
A
Right?
B
Like, you guys.
A
You sound toxic. I'm kidding.
B
No, no. But, like, I'm sorry, that's not like, the same as, like, a girl's friend. Like, of course that's your best girlfriend. That's different than being your best guy. Right, Right. Because, like, boys and girls can't be friends.
A
It sounds like this also might be in an appropriate time for an anonymous letter.
B
Do you think boys and girls can be friends? Friends.
A
Okay, when.
B
No, not an anonymous letter, by the way. Just tell her.
A
Yeah, okay, but back to your question. Like, single people in high school. Like, high school's like, no. Or is everyone straight?
B
Everyone's straight.
A
You know, because I do have, like, my best friend forever was a guy even when I was married. He's gay now, so maybe we can't actually.
B
Right.
A
Because now thinking back, like, maybe it was like an inappropriate friendship. We were so close. But he's gay.
B
Turns out it wasn't.
A
Turns out it wasn't. Right.
B
But I do think, like, boys and girls, like, can't be, like, that close. And it like, post call, like, you know, when everyone.
A
Yeah, because either you're in love or it's an inappropriate relationship. Like, if one of you, if you're both single and like, best friends, it's like, well, you're like, love.
B
Well, if you're single and you're best friends and, like, you tell each other, like, get married, that's amazing.
A
You are in love.
B
That sounds amazing.
A
You're halfway there.
B
It's a dream. You want to spend your time with them. You like, talking to them. Like, why?
A
The only thing left is, like, the.
B
Physical stuff, I guess, like, if you're not attracted to them, but, like, most people are.
A
If you love someone as a best friend, like, you will find them beautiful.
B
Because I don't see people.
A
Exactly.
B
But also, most people are, like, friends with their, like, same ish level of attractiveness. Right?
A
Yeah. Yeah. Not friends with, like, a bunch of ugos.
B
This episode's all about friendships, like, and what goes into friendship.
A
It's the theme for today.
B
Friendship.
A
That's beautiful.
B
Tell her. Tell her. I don't like this because I don't like any kissing outside of your marriage. Even if the they were initially pecs. I don't like pecking outside your marriage.
A
Yes, it's cheating. So, like, a girl should know that her husband's cheating on her. But also, it's even more layered because if you're cheating in a marriage, like, there's an element of lies between you.
B
I can't believe it took us so long to get to this conclusion. Like, we're actually too sensitive.
A
No, because sometimes, like, with Dear Toasters, it's like, well, is it worth the trouble? Then you become the villain, and you started all this. So a lot of times with Dear Toasters, we just say, like, mind your own business. Yeah, but that's why I said the thing about, like, these. It's. I feel like it's more often like, gay men than, like, gay women. But sometimes, yeah, like, gay women, like, leave marriages, whatever. But I feel like most of the time, it's, like, gay men who live in, like, marriages that are lies. And I just feel like in the year 2026, like, we don't need to be doing that. And if you are, I feel like now it's mean and it's wrong, and I don't know if that's spicy enough. I'm gonna get canceled for saying that.
B
Yeah. On this one, like, we women, we've got to look out for each other, right?
A
Sisters.
B
Sisters.
A
You can't say screw sisterhood.
B
No.
A
We stand together. We make up one big family, but we don't look the same. Our spots are different, different colors. I'm such a good singer.
B
You are. Yeah. It's really beautiful to witness.
A
Thank you.
B
Part of. And just, like, be able to be a backup singer.
A
Oh, you agree, Like, I have an amazing voice.
B
I've always supported your singing.
A
Yeah. I just feel like, honestly being here, like, it's like a podcaster. It's holding me back from reaching my true potential?
B
Well, you're in front of a microphone. Do your thing. Okay. At least you've made it this far to where your job entails you sitting in front of a microphone.
A
I'm unstoppable? I'm a Porsche with no brakes? I'm invincible? Yeah, I win every single game? I'm so powerful? I don't need batteries to play? I'm so confident? Yeah, I'm unstoppable today. Just a little Sierra for you video. See you later.
B
See you later, alligator.

Hosts: Jackie & Claudia Oshry
Release Date: January 6, 2026
Theme: A highly engaged and spicy post-New Years return episode, covering influencer drama, the Ashley Tisdale ‘mom group’ saga, internet culture, and real listener advice.
Jackie and Claudia return with energy for the first Tuesday Toast of 2026. The episode’s main current runs through “uncomfortable, hard truths,” particularly as they apply to friendships and online behavior, both in the celebrity sphere and real life. Topics include influencer TikTok drama, the Ashley Tisdale mom-group controversy, the ongoing saga of Tom Brady and Alex Earl rumors, Amanda Seyfried’s online behavior, and their advice column, “Dear Toasters.” Humor, allusions to pop culture, and the candid intimacy of their banter continue to be hallmarks.

NYC Influencer Interaction
Jackie shares another viral TikTok: a smaller influencer claims a major influencer “mean-girled” her during a chance meeting in New York, then posts an emotional video about it.
Both hosts take the influencer’s side, critiquing the complainer’s entitled mindset, the performative victim culture online, and the dangers of public call-outs without specifics.
Quote (A, 15:42): “Even if all of those things happened, this person doesn’t owe you anything... you are a stranger—on the street.”
Reflection: Modern influencer drama is subtle and deeply online (“fighting looks different these days...they don’t block each other, it’s just like a ghosting.” — B, 17:22)

Chatty, irreverent, deeply online. The hosts blend pop culture knowledge, real-life anecdotes, and sharp (but not cruel) commentary. They consistently privilege honesty and “girl’s girl” solidarity while weaving in absurd, niche internet humor and relatable rants about modern life.
This episode is a classic Toast blend of hot takes, witty banter, and incisive analysis of influencer and celebrity culture. If you want a panoramic view of how online drama, cliques, and adult friendships intersect—and crave candid advice on your own drama—you get all that here, wrapped in the show's signature millennial comedy.
