A
Good morning, girlies. It's the Toast.
B
It's Jackson Claude, and we're your host.
A
It's your favorite show.
B
The best five things you need to know.
A
We'll start your day off swirly. It's the Toast.
B
They sound amazing.
A
Welcome back to the Toast and happy Monday,
B
Monday, Monday, Wicked Witch West.
A
It's getting increasingly harder to do, like, hard hands, like, num letters with my. Because of my coccydynia. I mean, no. What's this thing called? Oh, I don't have a diagnosis for it yet, but, like, my thumb issue. Like, I can't do my hand gestures. I could never join a gang.
B
But maybe you being, like, the first person to have this thumb issue, they will name it after you. The turd Turditis.
A
It's such a turditis. I think I can barely do.
B
I think it is chiritis because it sounds serious but not, like, life threatening.
A
Yeah. I feel that I don't really want to get into, like, my thumb because it will open up a wound that, like, nobody thinks this is a serious. I'm living with, literally, a disability. Like, I'm ready for my handicap placard. Like, I live with this kind of crazy thing that I don't. I don't even want to talk about it because nobody thinks it's serious. Everyone in the family is like, oh, Turdi and her, like, crazy ailments. Like, you guys have no idea what it's like. Try being disabled for a day.
B
Try, like, Yolanda. Like, nobody's listening to you.
A
Okay, but, like, see, even that comparison is disrespectful because that had Munchausen syndrome.
B
Oh, you think? No, she had Lyme.
A
Do I think Yolanda had Munchausen syndrome? Yes. No.
B
No. Do you think she had Lyme at
A
one point in time? Yes, she had Lyme, but when she
B
was on the show talking about her ailments, you thought. You think confirm Munchausen not real.
A
Oh, wait, is this, like, up for debate? 1,000%.
B
Yeah. I think it was never settled. Like, I think we just.
A
I think I read, like. Yeah. I also think it's happening with Bella Hadid now too. She's, like, chronically ill, and it's like. I think a lot of the Hadid members, like, are malnourished. I think that maybe, yes, at one point, they all happen to have gotten Lyme disease. Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's Munchausen. Like, Lisa rinna hasn't vindicated 1000%.
B
Very interesting.
A
We were all thinking it when Lisa Rinna said it.
B
I don't remember what I was thinking.
A
She was really being extreme. Like going to Seoul for all these in a tube and getting her implants taken out.
B
I don't remember what I thought. And I didn't even know what Munchausen was when Lisa arena said it. So I couldn't have been thinking it because she taught me.
A
She was so brave for saying honestly.
B
It was just like when Megan King Edmund said, brooks is faking cancer.
A
Right? It's like it was just like the first person. I don't know who it was, but
B
it's not like we were all thinking, brooks is faking cancer.
A
No, no. It was like the first person who said, like, Juicy Smollett was faking his hate crime. Like, you to be that first person. I could never. I'm such, like a cow in a herd, you know? Like, I'm just a group thinker. I'm like, yeah, whatever the group is doing to be the first person to say. And you. Sometimes people are wrong. So, like, you know, you never want.
B
And then so wrong about someone faking cancer or someone faking a hate crime. Like, you're the worst person on earth.
A
Oh, my God. Of course.
B
But it's not like with Brooks or even with Jussie. You say now like, everyone was like, oh, this is weird.
A
No. At the time, nobody thought Jesse was lying.
B
Like, now some people say, like, yeah, like. But nobody wanted to say it. No. No. Why? No one would ever think he was,
A
like, thinking that I wasn't.
B
Why would we ever think?
A
And then when, like, the narrative started to be like, juicy Soil is lying about his hate crime. And I'm like, oh, can you get hate crimes in this country without someone coming for your neck? Next thing you know, he fully made it up. So, yeah, to be that first person is an incredibly brave thing to do.
B
Well, I'm not going to be any sort of person that is questioning your ailment. I've seen it firsthand.
A
My ailment?
B
Not to relevant.
A
Oh, my God. Not to r. There rumors about it,
B
but I've seen it firsthand.
A
Emphasis on the singular hand. Because I only have one functioning one.
B
No, there aren't rumors about you, but you said, like, you don't feel.
A
I don't feel like, genuinely understood. And I don't think that, like, the group. And when I say the group, I mean, like, our family really gets the severity of it. Except for Ben. And he, like, thinks it's, like, too
B
serious because he's a hypochondriac.
A
All the time. It's like, you have to get an mri. I'm like, if something like, if there's an ailment that requires. And I did the emg. If there's an ailment that requires me to get an mri.
B
Once you did the emg, though, and like, you really looked at everything and,
A
like, there's nothing wrong.
B
It's just a very, like, inconvenient truth, you know? But I no longer, like, worry about it. I'm just sad for you that that's how you're going through life.
A
Thank you.
B
Well, happy Monday, everyone.
A
Happy Monday. I hope everybody had a great weekend. We had an action packed weekend. Like, obviously I'm only thinking about the last 24 hours where Olivia finally got here.
B
Oh, my God, the last 12 hours.
A
So fun. But, like, let's cut all the way back. Like, the last time we were here, we hadn't filmed our award winning vlog yet. On Friday after the show, we took Margo shopping. It was a vlog Patreon experience. People are freaking out. Like, they are saying it's one of our best vlogs ever.
B
It is. I watch it and I was, like, feeling joyful watching it, as if I wasn't the one there. It was just a really fun watch. And people are asking for a part two. Like, say less bestie. I saw a comment today that was like, part two, five grand budget.
A
Calm down.
B
I'm with you.
A
And the thing is, if the vlogs continue to be successful, yes, we can increase the budget. Because, you know, the vlogs are Mr. Beast, you have to watch. It's a subscription. So, like, yeah, go subscribe to patreon.com toast and maybe we'll increase the budget. I don't want to say what our
B
budget was because it's part of the narrative. Like, and we're very transparent about the budget.
A
A thousand percent.
B
And you. And that is also sort of the fun, like, us deciding, like, what we're gonna spend. Like, what's in budget.
A
So, yeah, we can't increase the budget.
B
She can't increase the budget. We called her out on, like, the oscillation of cardboard Koji.
A
Yeah, sometimes it's on, sometimes it's off.
B
I'm o. Oscillates cardboard.
A
Would cardboard Koji do this? Would cardboard Koji have this? If you guys can't see I'm wearing a Birkin now. Fun fact, I didn't pay for this Birkin. Ben did. So.
B
So, so cardboard Corgi would.
A
Well, actually, I guess I Did pay for that Birkin in blood, sweat and tears because it was my push present in sweat equity. Yeah.
B
So I guess I'm wearing a push present as well.
A
Oh, just two pushers.
B
Just two pushers.
A
She pushes people.
B
Just been pushing.
A
Just been pushing. So the vlog is up. Patreon.com anything like match.
B
We're matching clothes. We're so actually the first outfit I put on was literally your outfit. I was wearing brown sick pants and like a cream sweater and it just like didn't.
A
I don't know.
B
It sounds fine.
A
You weren't feeling it.
B
It didn't look good. The length of the sweater versus the height of the pants. You know that ratio. It's very fine.
A
I know that ratio.
B
Very fine line to walk the length
A
of a top is so important. Like too long. What is she hiding?
B
No, like too long. Too short.
A
Please. Too long.
B
You need a certain pair of pants. Too short. You need a certain pair of pants. And so the length of the top versus the length of the pants were not a match.
A
It's such a delicate balance.
B
So then I just wore a different brown ensemble. Still matching with my swirly. And then we both came downstairs in our Birkins and our iced coffees.
A
Like we're giving.
B
We're literally browning show everyone.
A
I really have to now pick everything
B
just like for the thumbnail. Even though we don't like do thumbnails like that. You know what I mean? For the screenshot. Matching sisters.
A
Oh my God. That was the hardest. Oh God. Okay.
B
Sisters matching.
A
Sisters matching.
B
So Olivia got here last night which was so exciting. Friday we did our vlog with our other sister, Ms. Margo and we also here all weekend. So patreon.com the toast. We will be doing a part two in August because it was an amazing, incredible ride and there's more work to be done. Like we definitely like storyboard wise.
A
There are gaps in her wardrobe.
B
It's clearly episode one of like a multi episode series.
A
So an installment.
B
An installment. I think it's actually like a miniseries.
A
Like the Queen's Gambit.
B
Like we've never done a miniseries on the toes before, but I think this is a miniseries. It could have multiple seasons.
A
You know, after proving to be successful in different subjects. We're kind of a queer eye where we go and I handle the more emotional elements and you handle the fashion. You're tan. I'm so karamo.
B
You think I'm is tan.
A
Fashion.
B
Fashion.
A
Yeah, you're so tan.
B
But I'm also like JVN hair encouraging.
A
No, that's Karamo.
B
You think Emotional, social. That was like a.
A
A very unnecessary piece.
B
Yeah.
A
It's like everyone had a very distinct job. Hair, clothes, outfit, food, home building, feelings like that.
B
Yeah. But the thing is, when you do change everything about your physical appearance, you do also need to work on the inside as well to make sure you're all aligned.
A
100.
B
You can't just have like a new house, a new face, a new wardrobe, a new life and then like on the same, like not have done any self work because you didn't have all those ugly things before and was like, for no reason. Well, on the inside.
A
Yeah. Yeah.
B
So I actually think I was the Karamo. You were. I feel like you were the Bobby. Like the strong, steady force.
A
Well, the Bobby is like the person who does all the work and gets no airtime. So that is me because I paid for everything and I wasn't on camera at all because we only had two microphones. So I had to film the whole time and I wasn't allowed to speak. So actually, yes, I am the Bobby.
B
Yeah.
A
Silenced.
B
Yeah. Neither of us were the Anthony.
A
No, I wish Anthony was. I was starving. We didn't eat the entire time.
B
We actually had a huge meal right before we actually complained the entire time that we were too full.
A
We did have such a. Margot was running late, so we sat down and seen it. Ambrose.
B
It's in the vlog.
A
Yeah. I don't want to spoil it.
B
You don't want to spoil what she got.
A
But I did get spaghetti. So good.
B
We were really full the whole time. The whole day.
A
Kind of uncomfortable.
B
Yeah. And yeah, it was really great. So. Feytron.com the toast.
A
That's what we did on Friday. We had such a. Just a great family weekend. Lots of time outside.
B
Literally spent the whole weekend outside women.
A
And kind of like the most amazing celebrity thing happened to me. When you think about being a celebrity of which we are, like, no matter how many times people tell us we're not like, we are. You. You think about the various parts.
B
So that's why I'm not an influencer. Because I'm a celebrity, by the way.
A
Yeah.
B
I think that is what you were trying to say.
A
Absolutely.
B
But you didn't want to, like, put down influencers.
A
There's nothing wrong with being an influencer. We are just not. We're literally celebrity podcasters. Like, I'm not even kidding when I say that I'm not. But over the weekend, like, and sales associates. And sales associates. And. Yeah. So when you think about the various perks of being a celebrity. You think, you know, free clothes.
B
Yeah. Like free restaurants, reservations.
A
And of course there's that. But like something happened to me that was like just like the genuine definition of a perk. And it only happened to me because I'm a celebrity. I forget if it was like Saturday. Yeah, it was Saturday. And we just like had like two more hours to kill with Fu and like he was getting like kind of restless. So let's just go. We went to like one of these like kids type of gym, play things. And we got there and I was like, you know what, this is good. Like we had to get out of the house. We're pulling up, we're like kind of like so excited. And the door is locked and there's a big sign that says close for a private event from like 2 to 5 or whatever. And I see inside there's like a huge birthday party. Somebody like rented it out for their kids birthday party. And I was so annoyed. Like we had just gotten in the car and I just was so defeated staring at the sign. And me and Ben are like reading it and we're like, should we like, we're like, we have to go. We turn around, we turn around to leave. And as I'm turning around, the door opens and there was a swirly. And she was like, it's my niece's birthday party. You can come in, like use the facilities. They were only using like the front. There was just a bunch of kids. She was like, come in, use it. Do you want something to eat? I was like, me and Ben were like, is it crazy of us to like take a sandwich? We didn't take any food and we just like saw ourselves in. Went all the way to the back. Cuz we were using. It was like a grown up. Not grown up, like 6 year olds.
B
And you went to like a little baby swing area.
A
Genuinely like, first I'll save the day because I don't know what we would have done. And like so celebrity. She didn't say that she was a swirly, but like, why else would she let these like two randos in?
B
Oh, so she was just.
A
I mean she looked like a swirly. And she was like, you guys can come.
B
Oh, that's.
A
But she didn't say like charity. I guess maybe I am assuming kind of like I did it with the woman at Chanel. You did. I'm gonna tell you guys this, you
B
guys, this is nightmare. Nightmare scenario.
A
I told you guys. Ben got me a really nice gift, but obviously I Had to return it. And so we went to the store. We, like, made a whole day of it, and the sales associate helping us, so great. And she was like, you look so familiar. And I don't. Like, I want to do the whole rig of a roll, pretend I'm not a celebrity podcaster.
B
Right, Right.
A
So I'm like, it's probably from Instagram.
B
Yeah.
A
And she was like, yeah. I'm like, girl with no job. And she was like, oh, no, I helped you here last summer. And I was like, oh, yeah, you helped me here last summer. I was humiliated. Like, genuinely humiliated. And that's the last time I'll assume,
B
but I know it sounds like it's really. Sometimes people have such a hard time
A
getting there, and they also feel awkward, so I just be like, yeah, like, whatever, it's me. It's me.
B
Yeah, that hap. Like, I treat it differently every time because sometimes people are like, you look so familiar. And I'm, like, a hard time placing
A
us because we're, like, much more beautiful and thin in person.
B
Yes. And so, like, a couple times I've been like, oh, I have a podcast. Like, I'll just sort of cut to the chase. Yeah, right. One time I was in the doctor's office, and the girl who was like, so swirly was like, you look so familiar. I was like, the toast. And she was like. She's like, you're Margo, sister.
A
Oh, my God. Not you getting Nepo, sister.
B
You're Margot, sister. I went to camp with her screaming, no.
A
It's humiliating. But then when you don't, it's just like, you have to sit there so people watch people, like, put the pieces together. So I tried to help at one time.
B
I didn't do it.
A
Right.
B
Right. I didn't. And literally, she goes over every friend she has in Florida. Do you know this person? Do you know this person? No. No. Have. Did you go to this? Were you there? No. No. And then literally, like, halfway through, was at a meeting. Halfway through, she was like, I seen you on Tick Tock.
A
Yeah.
B
Well, there we have it.
A
Yeah, there's kind of, like, no good way to handle it, and I will not be doing that again. Like, that was genuinely humiliating. I was like, my Instagram. No, no, not at all. So, yeah, just like, celebrity podcaster things.
B
No big deal.
A
Nbt.
B
So, yeah, it was a fun weekend. We're so excited. Trout's here. We have to get her maybe, like, a trout. Queer Eye.
A
Oh, she will never.
B
Trout for Queer Eye.
A
Trout for Queer. She'll Never. I mean, I've been dying. I literally. My dream vlog is Olivia let me do. To do her makeup and just put.
B
I just put lipstick on.
A
No, no. She is so particular about her makeup, and she did her. She's had the same makeup turtle. Don't ask her for an updated one. You don't need it. The video from 10 years ago still works. She did it for our Patreon, like, five years ago when we were in Utah. She is the cr. Like, genuinely the craziest method. She uses the same three products from Bare Minerals. They're 100 years old. The method. She carries everything still in a Ziploc bag. If you've ever wanted to watch the craziest makeup tutorial of your life, it is also on Patreon. It's just search, like, Olivia's makeup tutorial. It has not changed. I would love to get my hands on that face. She is the literally the perfect lips. Like, I could do so much with Olivia's face.
B
I think we should strive for that. Like, this month, I would love that
A
she could use all my products. Like, we have the same skin tone. No.
B
All she has to do is sit and, like, we film her.
A
Of course.
B
I love that. She would love it.
A
She would love it.
B
She will hate it, but maybe she will let it. She just needs to let it happen.
A
She. She will let it.
B
She would let it.
A
And I do feel like now might be a good time to tell everyone, like, what we kind of haven't told them.
B
Yes. Which is that there will be a small summer break here at the Toast, which has been planned all summer. There was actually supposed to be a break in June, but my travel plans change, and so we just, like, moved everything around, and we thought it would be perfect.
A
Just do a summer hiatus.
B
Like, a small summer break. We always take a. Some version of a summer break. And this month. This summer, there will be this week of shows.
A
We have next week of shows, and then we are on break until Labor Day, which is when we'll be traveling back home. So we'll get settled. We both need some time to just, like, adjust. And I also want to just spend some time in the Hamptons, like, with food, like.
B
Yeah. Just, like, have actual vacation.
A
So just want to warn everyone, we still have two more weeks left of shows like Don't Fret. And there will, of course, be Patreon. So we'll still be working.
B
Yeah. And we'll try and do, like, most of the episodes the latter half of the month. So you'll have Episodes when we're not doing this and we'll like do pop culture catch ups. But starting off the 17th, no shows until we are back on September 8th.
A
And the good Guys are still releasing bi weekly. So you have that.
B
The Redheads are releasing. We are recording today. I spent my weekend reading the book and it's a great book.
A
Okay.
B
And I think it's like a book that people should. I've seen it, like, and you see a lot of books. And when I told people I was reading this book, they're like, oh, I've seen it. You know, Goodreads always recommends the same things. Everyone's reading the same books. But then when you read the books everyone's reading, it's like, why is everyone reading this? And in reading this book, I don't know how it's going to end. I have like 10 more percent that I'm going to fit finish today. I'm just like, I really enjoy this book and it's a good one. And like, if you're looking for which of the like books that are everyone's buzzing about should I actually read, I'm kind of loving this one.
A
Wow. And it was a statue.
B
And it's like not. It's nothing crazy, but it's just like the way it starts versus like where we're at now. It just like keeps changing into like, I'm almost having this experience where it's like the person you thought who's the main character is kind of not the main character. It's very interesting, like Journey to go on and. Very interesting what Cojourna Fred to go on. And if you're looking for like a summer read that like people are talking about or a book club book that will impress the shampoo effect, I'm curious to hear how the other girls feel about it.
A
But like, for them all to like, I hated it.
B
I don't think there's anything really hateable.
A
I can't believe you love Satchi Choice so much.
B
Yeah. Sachi always has a solid choice and she always like has us reading what people are. And that's like, good for the book club. Of course, you know, because then people want to read when it's Snitch's choice because it's a lower lift. And I think it's a really quality book. So I would recommend it to you as well.
A
Quality literature. Literature.
B
Would you say top quality literature. And did you hear that? I would recommend it to you, Journey.
A
I mean, I still have not since I told you guys about my SAG Harbor Books. I haven't read one more page, and it's just like, the 20 pages I read are now, like, forgotten. Forgotten. It's just, like, not. It's not a reading summer for me, you know?
B
Understood.
A
Sometimes it is, sometimes it ain't.
B
Well, we're recording today, so we'll see you guys on Thursday.
A
The Thursday. But until then, without further open to.
B
I'm open to starting, like, I guess. I guess without further ado. To do. To do.
A
Are you staring at my feet?
B
I just, like, look down for a second, if that's allowed. Permission to look down for a second. Are you feeling insecure because you're wearing your toes out?
A
No, I wear my toes out almost every day.
B
You do?
A
Yeah.
B
I don't anymore. I get so much hate for my toes.
A
What's wrong with them?
B
They, like, are crooked.
A
Are they? Well, I have, like, one bad toe. My fourth toe on the left foot just sort of, like, hugs the third, and you can't really see, like, the nail because it goes behind the third. Do you see it? I think I see, but I see other people's feet. And I think on the spectrum of feet, I'm very, very above average. Because I don't think there's anything wrong with my feet.
B
Like, I'm just, like, not looking that close, you know?
A
But I don't know, sometimes you could see, like, someone's big toe. Like, the nail is really small, but, like, the toe is really big.
B
Oh, no. For me, it's like, people would only ever see, like, my feet. My toes. Like, not from the top, but, like, maybe from the. Like, I don't know. Or sometimes I used to post pictures like this and, like, with my bare feet.
A
Well, you can't post bare feet. I'm wearing sandals. Like, open toe and bare feet are two different things.
B
I just, like, used to get a lot of hate for my toes, so I've been.
A
You've been shamed. Submission.
B
Okay.
A
Love that for you.
B
But I'm glad to see that you're feeling confident and you're little.
A
I mean, why are you acting like I shouldn't feel in your.
B
Dahlia?
A
I actually. I have normal feet. Like, I'm not gonna show my arms all the time. I'm certainly not, like, bearing midriff, but my toes. Yeah. Call me crazy. I'm showing my toes, and that's hard. Confidence.
B
Now, without further ado, da, da, da do, Here are the fastest size stories that you da do need to know.
A
And the fast five stories that you need to know are Brought to you by Nori. If you're heading to Target this week, there's one new launch that you should keep an eye out for. It's a brand new Nori Cloud. So we're in the Hamptons. We're wearing like, lots of linen, lots of silk, and we need steamers. It's not just a Hamptons thing, although I feel like my wardrobe this summer is very, very steamer friendly. Well, if you ever own it owned a handheld steamer, you probably know the struggle. They leak, they spit water all over your clothes. They somehow make getting ready even more stressful. And that's why Nori created the cloud. Like handheld steamers, steamers in general are just so problematic. And whether you buy cheap ones or expensive ones, like, they're all garbage. And Nori is a company that just set out to make a good, perfect steamer. And let me tell you, they did it. So you may know Nori from their viral handheld steam iron, which is called the Nori Press. It was such a hit at Target that Target actually invented the brand to expand into entirely new category. And that's what led to the creation of the Nori Cloud. So instead of just making another handheld steamer, they redesigned the entire experience from the ground up. It heats up in 25 seconds. It delivers 20 minutes of continuous steam. It features anti spit technology so it will prevent leaks, sputtering, and water spots that make traditional steaming so frustrating. It's very lightweight, super compact, it's beautifully designed, it's easy to travel with, and it's the kind of Target purchase that makes your entire morning routine better. It's loved by celebrities. Oprah's favorite things. Rachel Zoe. And they're a small female founded company full of toasters on a mission to make clothing care faster, easier, and a whole lot more beautiful. So visit your local Target store or visit nori co n o r I.co and use code toast at checkout for 20 off your first purchase. That's www.nori.code t o a s t for 20% off your first order. B
Thank you. Extremely special Turt Our first story Ariana Grande pulls out of West End debut as she's taking a step back from the limelight after weight loss concerns. Good. So Ariana Grande is pulling out of her debut on the West End and she will be stepping away from the limelight. On Sunday, her rep revealed that the singer who is on her Eternal Sunshine tour is taking a break from the spotlight amid endless public scrutiny.
A
Don't blame us.
B
Quote Ariana will be taking a step back from visibility after she completes her tour. She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note both healthily and happily and then taking a much deserved break from public facing work and appearances which has led to endless ongoing public scrutiny. Scrutiny.
A
I think a lot of this is on the heels of a music video she released on Friday.
B
Yes, her new album came out on Friday and then the Music video for Petal came out as well.
A
And we've obviously been seeing, like, all these videos of her on tour and it's like, all really concerning, but to see this, like, extremely high definition close up video of her where she's, like, wearing kind of revealing outfits. So you see, I think it was even, like, people. It was just shocking. Like, the, The. The video when she's wearing that black dress and it's like very, like, low cut. It's so upsetting. And so everyone, like, people, like, well, if you want to help someone with anorexia, like, you should do this. I don't know what the right thing to do is, but, like, she looks awful, she looks sick, and like, she needs help. So whether that's, you know, taking time off, I don't know what we're supposed to say to help, but, like, it's bad. So, like, fix it, someone.
B
Yeah.
A
Did you see also, like, tmz, like, shutting down a rumor that Ethan Slater and Lily J are getting back together? Like, in what world? She would never.
B
No, I don't know. I'm reading Shampoo Effect and they have
A
a storyline like that sort of.
B
It's just about like, I'm sorry, she could never.
A
And I know you're, like, supposed to do what you're supposed to do for your kids.
B
Yeah. Like, it's so.
A
No, no, I don't. No, no, no.
B
I don't think she.
A
I don't know where that.
B
And you know what? She's really gotten through, like, most of the hard part without him. So it's like, if she's made it till now, she's fine. Fine.
A
She's literally fine. She's so much better off.
B
She's so fine.
A
Yeah. Like, it's really bad with Ari. Like, it is.
B
And I don't know what, like, the right thing for us to respond is. Like, I obviously don't want to make her feel bad, but I also don't. Like, we can't all act like this is normal because it normalizes it and it's harmful to, like, girls. Girls, like, so. And she does need. I don't also don't want to, like, perpetuate whatever she feelings that are making her do this by consuming all of this and, like, making her feel like she's on this hamster wheel now. She has this album. So then there's the next tour and, like, I just sort of, like, want to give space and hold space. Yeah.
A
I haven't been really engaging with. I have not been engaging with the tour. I I obviously didn't go. I didn't watch music video. I just saw, like, the backlash and screenshots. So I agree, like, I don't want to encourage this type of behavior and culture, so I'm not really, like, involved here. Except that, like, I see something and I'm saying something like, you look scary.
B
Yeah, bad.
A
Really bad.
B
Very, very scary. And I think, you know, she always is very thin, and she's been very thin for a while. This seems to be, like, a new. Because I'm even looking at pictures of her from the Wicked premiere when we used to see. We were all like. And she looks, like, better healthy compared to.
A
No, she still looks really bad, like,
B
to how she looks now. But she also as much as, like, she, like, shows off her collarbones or whatever. She does hide a lot. You know, she doesn't, like, wear, like, the skimpiest things. I feel like she doesn't show so much skin. This was the most we've seen in so long. And, like, that's why it was so. That's why it's so jarring.
A
It was really upsetting.
B
And then the concept for the music video that I didn't watch but I've seen, like, screenshots is, like, how she's not good enough, and she's doing this audition, and they, like, don't like her. And then there's, like, notes at the bottom that said, could lose a few pounds. Like. Like, no one. I know the industry is toxic and fat phobic, and everybody needs to lose 10 pounds, but no one is. That's not real.
A
That. And also, it's just, like, you have to think about, like, how many people. And of course, like, a celebrity pop star, like, no one can tell Ari what to do. She's in charge. But, like, how many people surround her? Even for this music video, not one person was like, maybe we should put on a different dress. Like, something.
B
Yeah. And it's. I do think she has, like, yes. People around her, you know, and, like, people who lick her butt. Most. Like, most celebrities do.
A
But, like, butt munchers. Yeah.
B
But she's also surrounded by family, so I don't, like, I'm sure they're.
A
Where is Frankie?
B
Her mom is always right there. I'm sure she's like.
A
I think when someone's, like, so, like, knee deep in an eating disorder, like, you literally can't tell them.
B
Especially when that person is, like, on top of the world, you know, what can you tell them?
A
Yeah. If it's, like, your teenage daughter, you can like, put her in a facility. Like, no one can really tell Ari to do anything that she doesn't want to do. Yikes. It's really bad.
B
So even though, like, the public scrutiny is the reason for the break from public life, like, sure, great, whatever. Take a break from public life. However you need to justify it. Doing another Broadway show, like, those are so. The dancing and the sleeplessness in the late nights, that's not what she needs.
A
Agreed.
B
Sad.
A
Scary.
B
Yeah. Yeah. It does seem like it's reaching, like, a bit of a pitch, though. I felt like, you know, for the last few months, like, only people have been saying it, and there are people
A
in the county like us. Like, she's always been this skinny. Like, really?
B
No, we're like, we don't comment on women's bodies. Like, which I do. Which is, like, a decent rule to abide by most of the time. But there are. There are exceptions.
A
This is an exception.
B
Yeah.
A
It's insane.
B
Yeah. So I just hope that, like, she's okay and that she gets help.
A
Me, too.
B
Our next story, Barbie, Too, is, like, in the works, but it's stalled, as David Zaslav won't approve bigger salaries for Ryan Gosling and Margot Rob Robbie. So when a movie makes more than $1.4 billion at the box office and earns eight Academy Award nominations, the studio is going to want to make a sequel. Such is the case with Barbie. But time is running out for the studio to put Margot Robbie back in pink. In a New York. In a new report, the New York Times reveals that Warner Brothers Discovery CEO David Zaslav.
A
I was thinking, like, why is this the second time this weekend that I've heard the name David Zaslav? He's apparently buying a summer camp. Like, people are kind of. Everyone in the New England area is talking about it because it's like, one of those camps. Camps.
B
Oh, he's bought. He is buying a summer camp.
A
Yeah. I was like, why have I heard the name David Zaslav before?
B
Why is he buying it?
A
I don't know.
B
Like, for fun. It's giving Schitt's Creek.
A
No, I think it's, like, a beloved camp that's, like, on its last.
B
On its balls.
A
Yeah. And so, like, bring in your local billionaire president of Warner Brothers to save it.
B
I love it.
A
He might live in the area or something.
B
Like, that's like, Schitt's Creek.
A
Yeah.
B
And then if, you know, Warner Brothers goes.
A
He's the director.
B
He can go live at the camp. And that's a show I would watch on Warner Brothers Full Circle.
A
Okay?
B
So sorry.
A
He's also.
B
In addition, he will not give them raises. Ryan Gosling is angling to raise his pay to $20 million, and he is pushing back.
A
I mean, businessman gonna business and act. Are gonna act like, yeah, I would
B
also try to get a raise, dollars and cents wise. Like, if it does, even though I don't know how, at a one film.
A
Right.
B
You know, generated budget. Why you can't afford 20 million for Ryan Gosling. But what. We can't afford 20 million for Ryan Gosling.
A
Like, I really don't feel that we need a Barbie too. I didn't think we needed a Barbie one, but not everyone agreed with me on that. We definitively, though, do not need a Barbie too. I'm so not. It's not gonna be like what Barbie 1 was. They're trying to, like, recreate. I get it. Like, this is a business, so it'll do.
B
Well, how did Barbie one end? Okay, aside from, like, the speeches and then the old lady, which was like, so cute. The old lady a lot wise. Where is Barbie?
A
I think she returned to Barbie land, but, like, brought equality with her or something. But she, like.
B
But in Barbie Land, I don't think equality, lack of equality was the issue. If anything, like, Barbie has more power in Barbie Land. She had more rights. Ken did.
A
The problem with Barbie Land was that, like, it wasn't, like, realistic.
B
What was the problem with Barbie Land? Because, like, he's just Ken. Right, right.
A
And he's obsessed with Barbie and, like, Barbie's.
B
And everything's like, it's Barbie's world. We're just living in it.
A
What was the problem with Barbie land, Ms. Chat? It sounds like sort of like in the Barbie movie. What was wrong?
B
It sounds like a woman's dream in the Barbie movie.
A
What was wrong with Barbie Land? Question mark. You know, it was like, women presidents and, like.
B
Yeah, but then maybe she went to the real world and realized, like, things aren't.
A
It seems perfect, but it isn't. One of the central ideas of the film is that society can have blind spots, thoughts, even one that appears idyllic. So the Kens have no real identity or agency. Okay, okay.
B
So this is like a male's rights movie.
A
It's a mirror image of an unequal society. Barbie Land isn't presented as a perfect feminist utopia as much as an inversion of traditional gender dynamics. Okay, good, though, like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
B
That's like. So it is unequal in the other way. It's the matriarch but when Ken discovers
A
patriarchy in the real world, he overcorrects it and ports it back to Barbieland, creating a kingdom. Barbie herself is living an artificial, scripted existence. So her existential crisis, thinking about death, getting flat feet, reveals that she never had to ask for who is beyond. I just want to say, like, these are made up problems. Her journey is about becoming an individual rather than living in out a predetermined role.
B
It's giving words in the end, Barbie control.
A
They begin, Kevin giving the Kens more rights and opportunities, recognizing that they too deserve agency and purpose. It's not portrayed as instant equality, but as the beginning of a more balanced society. So the film's message isn't that Barbie land was bad, it's that it was incomplete. Barbie needed a real identity beyond perfection, and the Kens needed identities beyond Barbie. I just feel like none of that
B
really made any sense. Yeah, like, that's very thin.
A
So I don't know what the plot's going to be for, like, Barbie too, because it sounds like they fix the problem.
B
Yeah, we need to sort of just like, get away from that and like Margot Robbie.
A
Like, it was amazing. It was big and it was like, it was a moment. But I don't really think that she needs to, like, do it again. No, she hasn't suffered since. She's done like a million movies since big ones.
B
They would really need to switch up the plot because, like, the gender dynamics. I'm all set.
A
Me too.
B
I'm all set.
A
And like, the collabs.
B
We got ice cream this weekend and Ben wanted the other one. What? We all got ice cream this weekend and Zach was holding two and he was like, does anyone want this?
A
Zach was holding two ice creams and
B
then Ben was eating. Ben got like this huge milkshake.
A
Okay, sorry, I didn't know what you were talking about, but now I do. We're all set. So we all. We went to get ice cream and everybody got like, normal ice cream. They had hard ice cream. Yeah, I was skinny.
B
Yeah, we got like, we got small. I got hard ice cream, but extra
A
small and got this like, probably 3,000-calorie. It wasn't even a milkshake. It came in a milkshake cup, but it was layered with like, hot fudge, peanut butter, Reese's Pieces ice cream. Like, it was insane. First of all, I had three bites. It was magical. Like, of course, delicious thing.
B
And we got an extra sauce.
A
We were like, messing with him for, like, being fat and, like, we were being skinny.
B
I I didn't even mess with him at all. We got an extra soft serv. Pistachio that, like, Zach was holding. It wasn't, like, particularly great, and Zach wanted to throw it away. And so he was like, you want this? I'm gonna throw it away. And Ben said.
A
We could see Ben was thinking.
B
Ben was considering it. And I looked at him and I was like, I think you're all set. Like, let me tell you.
A
Ben was so offended, he could not get over the. Jackie said that. He said, I'm all set. What did you.
B
I meant that, like, you have the best ice cream ever. Why do you want this melting green thing that nobody wanted? Like, you are all set.
A
You are the definition of all set. Jackie, in the car ride home, he was, like, all set. What does that mean?
B
He's all set?
A
He was the.
B
He thought I was, like, badging him, but I really wasn't.
A
We were all just jealous.
B
Like, you don't want this melting green thing. You don't.
A
He has not.
B
It's not better than what you have.
A
And he, like, ordered something on the menu. Like, nobody does that at an ice cream place. Like, everybody makes their own. No, he ordered like a straight up, like a no and no substitutes or anything. Just like, I'll have the blank. I forgot it was called and oh, my God, it was so good. We need to go back. I need to have one.
B
Yeah. That. We can go back. That was fun.
A
We haven't gotten enough ice cream this summer, don't you find?
B
We haven't gotten a lot of ice cream somewhere, but we got a lot of pie and a lot of cookies.
A
Yeah. Clearly I haven't suffered a lot of
B
crumb cakes, banana bread, a lot of pastries. Yeah. Baked goods, but no, not a lot of ice cream.
A
Frozen treats.
B
Yeah. Our next story is some beautiful news. Oh, my God.
A
Beauty.
B
Beauty. Dolores Catania's son, Frank Jr. Has gotten married in an elegant wine country wedding in Portugal.
A
So the 20, seriously, like, hearts are breaking all over New Jersey.
B
Yes.
A
They are so hot.
B
Yes. He's 27 years old. Frank Catania Jr. Has gotten married to Nicole Perico wearing a Malzano suit, wearing Malzones tuxedos. It's actually unclear if he was wearing Malzones tuxedos. So he actually wore a custom Michael Andrews bespoke NYC tuxedo.
A
Leveled up for the wedding.
B
He did.
A
So isn't it interesting, though, that he's, like, taken this very traditional route? Like a 27 year old, really handsome, like, Jersey. He's definitely could have been, like, a player. He's, like, a little famous. Like, I could see him being such an.
B
No. He's so grounded.
A
No, he's so grounded. That's Dolores. Like.
B
Yeah.
A
Did you see Dolores's dress?
B
I did.
A
People are, like, conversing about it because it's literally a wedding dress. Not only is it white, but it's, like, so bridal. I imagine, you know, that was approved or.
B
I don't really think it's an issue.
A
Like, I mean, nobody thinks Dolores is the bride.
B
Right, Right. This girl is so, like, gorgeous and I'm sure confident and, like, wear whatever you want. Whatever. Wear whatever makes you feel good. Like, seriously.
A
No, totally. She looked great.
B
Yeah.
A
So did Frank Jr. I didn't see pictures of Senior, but I'm assuming he was there.
B
I'm sure he was there. I'm surprised he didn't invite his friend Dana.
A
And then it's like, what?
B
Yeah.
A
You guys know that Dana Holzberg has
B
become best friends with Frank Catania?
A
I don't know if you guys knew that. Dana Webman. I don't know what people.
B
She's Dana Webman now.
A
She's Dana Webman now.
B
Yeah. She's very good friends with Mary Catania Senior. Senior, confusingly.
A
And it also is just a reminder, like, I'm sure this wasn't filmed and perhaps at one point, like, it would have been, like, a major storyline on Real Housewives in New Jersey. Like, what is up with the Real Housewives in New Jersey?
B
I think that they're off pause. It actually could have been filmed if.
A
Well, because we got confirmation that Margaret Joseph isn't returning. She's on Golden Years. Golden Girls. What's that?
B
Golden Life.
A
Golden Life. She will be on Golden Life, which I actually think is a great move for her. Are they filming which women were at the wedding?
B
Like, we don't know if they're filming, but I think that they might be because they should be.
A
This is a great storyline.
B
Yeah.
A
Frankie, Tanya Jr. Got. Gets married. Like, that's insane. It's a first.
B
And it looks like a beautiful wedding in Portugal.
A
It does. I like seeing the Jersey housewives in Portugal. That would be funny.
B
Yeah, I think it's possible.
A
And there's also so much going on with Teresa. You see, like, Melania's best friend passed away. No, they've all been posting about this girl Victoria. Like, this young girl who died. And then, of course, Melania was also arrested. And they're saying that the lr. The target of her domestic violence was Louis or Louis Son. Because they have the same initial lr. So we kind of need cameras up.
B
I think that they might be just. I don't like. I just feel like if Margaret New confirmed she's not filming, it's because other people are filming.
A
Right, Right. Like, contracts went out.
B
Yes.
A
Yeah, yeah.
B
And they use. They used to film in the summer. Jersey Shore.
A
Yes. Because such a good franchise.
B
It is. And, like, the Jersey Shore is central to the show. The shore houses and, like, Melissa.
A
Oh, yeah.
B
They do summer. I feel like they would be filming.
A
Yeah. It's just funny. Like, which ones got put on, like, hiatus? Like, when other. You know what I mean? Like, Jersey wasn't that bad.
B
Right.
A
They were at a standstill with, like, some of the women not wanting to film with each other. But that actually makes good tv. Like, the fact that they refuse to put New York on hiatus, but it's, like, seriously so turnt. Whereas, like, New Jersey, like, it wasn't that bad. And they have, like, so many beloved characters that people would watch them, like, kind of do anything.
B
Yeah.
A
It's like, why that one?
B
I don't know. It's funny. What? When they decide to, like, throw in the towel.
A
But there's good stuff here.
B
Are you ready for our fourth story?
A
No. Are you ready for our fourth story?
B

B
Slash Turt.
A
You're welcome.
B
Do you want to talk about August being the Sunday of summer?
A
Do we, do we want to talk about that?
B
No, I don't think so.
A
Because I just want to say like I. There's a story there and I have. I've literally zero beef with the people involved. But like there was beef at a
B
time, there was beef at A time. This is, like.
A
This is so, like, maybe 10 years ago, though.
B
Like, actually, when did we start the toast? Like, it's an.
A
It was the first year old. So we had a conversation on the show about how, like, August, like, is obviously great because, like, it's summer, but
B
it does give Sunday of the year. Yeah.
A
And then I think we, like, took that conversation to Instagram and, like, made a little graphic.
B
Made a little graphic. Yeah, yeah. Like, a relatable statement.
A
And we got, like, some hate comments from people who work at Barstool, notably the CEO at the time.
B
Like, not Dave.
A
No, no, no. Erica, the CEO.
B
Yeah, yeah, but when you say the CEO of barst, like, oh, sorry.
A
No, she. She was a CEO for a while. And, like, backstory is, like, we also knew her personally. She was, like, a friend of Olivia's. Like, I actually had met her, like, a couple of times before this, and she accused us of copying, like, stealing this concept from Chicks in the Office, which was, at the time a SiriusXM exclusive show. So, like, you couldn't even listen to it if you wanted to. So, like, the, like, the fact that she thought we had stolen it, like, when we actually didn't even have access, we didn't have cars. Like, when would we have listened to the show? And she was, like, leaving hate comments. Being like, this feels original, doesn't it, at Chicks in the Office. And it's so sad. We have zero beef with Chick Office. They were lovely, talented women. Like, not Erica starting with us. Like, for what? And also, August being the Sunday of the year is not in a. Maybe they probably said it too.
B
Like, no, it's an original thought.
A
It was original for us. But, like, if you Google it, other people have, like, come to.
B
It's sort of saying, like, January is the Monday. Like, anyone.
A
A couple of people could come to the same conclusion.
B
Anyone could think of that. Hold on, I'm looking through.
A
And, like, we also had, like, worked with her. Like, I think the girls came on our show. They came on the Breath.
B
Yeah, yeah, they had.
A
And it was, like, such a nice relationship. I don't know why she had to, like, start stuff. Yeah, she was so aggressive for that. Like, and we were literally, like, 21. Like, and she was 40. Like, leave us alone.
B
And it's just like, we can all have, like, a parallel thought.
A
Like, it's not even a good thought. It's like, oh, fine, you want to claim it, it's yours. It's not even that funny. I'm, like, ashamed to have said it.
B
Like, but you said it again today.
A
It was in the copy for Quince. Which only proves my point. Somebody over there thought of it too. Or someone there was, like, trying to start stuff with us. Us.
B
And then you want us to, like, bring this up?
A
Like, oh, sending love and light to Fran and Maria. Like, zero, zero problems with them. It was like, Erica, like, why are you starting with us? You're like an adult.
B
Yeah. Yeah. Are you ready for our next story?
A
I am.
B
Which is this year's next year's Met Gala theme.
A
Oh, it's very controversial.
B
John Galliano is the subject of the next Costume Institute show. So next year's Met gala theme for Met 2027 will be John Galliano Horizons. So John Galliano is widely considered one of fashion's greatest. Since his 1984 graduation collection, he worked at Givenchy, Christian Dior. Then he had, like, a massive fall from grace after he was filmed saying, like, a really anti Semitic things at a Paris cafe.
A
Like, really bad.
B
Really bad. Like, like, about gas chambers. Like, yeah, he, like. He said, I love Hitler. He. He was talking to some people. He said, you would have been gassed, you and crazy. Then he, like, went to rehab. He apologized. He was very drunk. He said he didn't even remember saying those things. He has, like, met with Jewish leaders throughout the years who have forgiven him and who have found his apologies to be.
A
I didn't know that.
B
Yes. And then he went and worked for Mason Margiela and like, re. Rehabbed his, like, reputation in the fashion world.
A
It's not like, so, like, when somebody wears, like, a John Galliano, there's still, like, a couple of comments about it. Like, it's not like people have completely forgotten.
B
Yeah.
A
So when I saw the video, like, it's. It's a very shocking video.
B
Yeah. It's not like, oh, he said, like, something a couple. When you see it again, you're, like, reminded of how bad it was. But he has, like, done the work
A
since somebody should dress up as a gas chamber. Like, that's it to be for. To be, like, on theme.
B
That is part of, like, his legacy. So, yes, it's. It's kind of a crazy theme considering, like, the Met Gala and Vogue is, like, typically very woke.
A
No, I mean, when you think about how, like, many people boycotted last year because Jeff Bezos paid for this philanthropic event. He paid for it. I'm curious to see how many people are going to boycott this one.
B
I'm sure zero people will.
A
If I'm like, a frequent Met Gala, goer I understand not everybody can boycott sometimes. It's like the one year I'm going to be invited, like, I get it. Like, I do. I do even, like, your morals have to take a back seat. But if I'm like, a frequent goer, like, I don't think I personally, like, I'm obviously, you know, I don't think I would go.
B
Yeah. Apparently Anna met with, like, a bunch of, like, Jewish trustees and, like, Jewish leaders and like, sort of, like, asked for their blessing.
A
Right.
B
To do him. And I feel like I'm of two minds because John Galliano specifically. And after read, I didn't really follow the story when it happened. And now reading, like, from a bunch of, like, big Jews who like, had spoken to him and really, like, felt. Let me pull it up for you. I'll give you names.
A
Name them.
B
Name them.
A
Name the Jews. I know the Jews who did it.
B
Well, of course, there's like, Jonathan Greenblatt at the adl.
A
Oh, you know, he was. He's a good one.
B
You think so? I think he speaks for you.
A
I. I do, actually.
B
That's enough for you.
A
No, it's not enough. But sometimes he's like. He's. I always find. Sometimes find him, like, saying unpopular things. Like, so he's not always just saying stuff. You know, he's not just an agreeable. Like.
B
Like, yeah, yeah, sometimes. Sometimes. Yeah, yeah, that. But is this one of those times? Who knows? Okay. But this is what he also said, which I do sort of agree with. He said ADL accepted John Galliano's apology long ago and believes he has genuinely reckoned with his past Anti Semitism party. But timing matters. Anti Semitism is surging, most recently in last week's stabbing. And Jewish New Yorkers are feeling unheard by their city's leaders as the decision is made. Now it's on the Met and partners. Not with token gestures around one Existence exhibit, but with real action against anti Semitism in the museum and across the fashion world. They help shape. And it's actually extremely factual.
A
Yeah, I just want to make a prediction. I don't know if Polymarket has a
B
market for this, but, like, bomb down.
A
I haven't. I have a sneaky suspicion a certain elected official will be in attendance. Celebrating hard.
B
Yeah, he didn't go this past year.
A
Right. Because everyone was like, bezos, whatever. So it's like, we're taking political. We're boycotting. So I agree with him. It's like, yeah, maybe at the time. It's just like, not the time.
B
Yes. And then there's also a rabbi. Who is this person? Rabbi by Jacobs, I believe. I don't know who had said I
A
need to hear from my rap.
B
He felt Galliano's sincerity when he apologized. He was open. He looked right at us and spoke in a clear way. Not as if he had memorized talking points. So like he has been forgiven for that. But I just like. So it's not about Galliano for me. It's about one, the fact that like that Vogue and the Mech bow is like so often anti hate.
A
Even though like I feel like they give less recently. Like, because if they were so averse to controversy, they wouldn't have worked with Nicole Lauren Sanchez.
B
That's true. But money is money and they need money. Yeah, they do need money. And then it also just sort of like condones and like, you know, sweeps away. Anti Semitism is just like not a. Yeah. Like hate that we are against.
A
No, the. The best point is the time like, yeah, I'm. I am a person who can. I mean, Haley Joel Osment, like I genuinely forgive him. Like I actually really can like move on past people's transgressions when they' made meaningful apologies. But the timing is poor.
B
Yeah.
A
Extremely poor. That's really the best point.
B
Yeah.
A
So although like I've seen Galliano looks and like they slay the house down.
B
They do. And for like talking about fashion and the history of fashion and the legends, it's a meaningful, very real.
A
Yeah, no, it's true. I'm at a standstill.
B
It's just like unfortunate. And the time just feels like it's just condoning anti Semitism and just sort
A
of like moving on.
B
Glazing over it.
A
Yeah.
B
There's. Feels like a glaze. Yeah.
A
I would love a donut.
B
Yeah. No, I need savory first.
A
You're so weird.
B
I need to start my day with something savory.
A
I did.
B
I had a bagel and I haven't started my day yet because I didn't
A
get my breakfast and. Cuz you need to get to the fifth story to.
B
Oh, of course not. No, our fifth story is actually some major news and something that we were discussing last week that I'm so excited to like sort of follow up with you about. Spider Man. Brand new day.
A
I thought you were seriously going to start again about Joanna Rancic and I was like, I can't do this story anymore.
B
Why would you think that?
A
I don't know, because you. The way you pre.
B
Literally I could have been talking about like we do Hundreds of stories.
A
No, I thought you were doing like another Jerry o'. Connell.
B
No, I was just saying because, you know, we did another podcast.
A
Yeah, we were talking a lot about
B
Spider man on the other podcast we did last week, so I thought it would be like, fun to say we did another podcast on. What are the odds? The Poly Market podcast. Spider Man. Mind blowing debut at $355 million. The second biggest opening weekend in box office herstory.
A
What's the first?
B
That's a great question.
A
Probably the other Spider Man. It's crazy that it was like the biggest movie ever. I don't know.
B
Avengers Endgame. We knew that. Somewhere in our minds, we knew that that was 357 million.
A
You just reminded me. I had bought us tickets to see the Odyssey tomorrow. But I can't go anymore, so I
B
have to get a refund and reschedule.
A
When. When you guys buy movie tickets, we're all going to fandango.com, right? Or is that just me?
B
The Fandango app.
A
App. No, no, no. I'm not crazy. But like, where do people buy movie tickets? I always go to Fandango.
B
You know what? As a husband who loves the theater,
A
where does he buy his tickets?
B
I never buy them.
A
Yeah.
B
Because I'm never the one. He definitely has the Fandango app.
A
Yeah, but like, there's also AMC stubs. He's definitely one of those members of like AMC elite or whatever.
B
Yeah. But I feel like if you go to like, you just need Fandango app. That's like what I used to do in my heyday.
A
Yeah, Fandango's like the place, right?
B
Yeah.
A
I'm not just like randomly going offending.
B
I think it's still the place. But yeah. Great question. When you get home, I'll have to
A
get a refund now. I don't even know how to do that on Fandango.
B
Yeah.
A
But we'll have to go another day. Sorry.
B
That's fine. Came up. Odyssey recap coming later. Yeah, like, major for Spider Man. Like, sorry, I'm just like missing all this. Like, I know. Misses me.
A
It's crazy that it's like the biggest movie of the year and like, not one person I know in a personal way went to go see it. Yeah, I didn't see anyone on my Instagram posting it. Like, it's just such a different universe. Like the comic book thing.
B
You know what? But I guess like, in a few years, like, this will be my world, you know, as get older. Oh, that's cuz I like Spidey.
A
And at least I think that they're good movies. Like, I saw the Toby Maguire, Kirsten Dunson one.
B
Of course. That was a quality flick.
A
It was a quality flick. I still get chills from that guy who played the Green Goblin. Like, that scene is very spooky when they're, like, on top of the bridge.
B
That's also, like Joker, you know, that's Chris.
A
Yeah. He's Ledger.
B
I think when we do get there,
A
like, the worst, they're worse places to be.
B
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
A
I think. Think all the movies are given, like, proper. They're really good, like, people like that.
B
So I do think, like, Spider man is in my future.
A
Yeah. Zendaya and Tom, like, they just really, like. It's actually crazy. They're currently, first of all, in the highest grossing movie. And they're like, the stars, both of them. They're also at the same time in the Odyssey. It's just, like, crazy how famous they are. And they're married, I think. No, they're engaged.
B
But I feel like one day they will be, like, the absolute biggest stars in the world. Like Brad and Angelina and be like, when did that happen? It's like, right now. Yeah, right. Right now. They're laying.
A
It's crazy. Yeah, yeah. Brad and Angelina. But, like, without, like, in love and,
B
like, not crazy, like, no drama, like, with the plane and like, bigger successes. Because Brad doesn't have, like, an Oscar. He's not an Oscar guy.
A
He doesn't.
B
I don't think so.
A
I think he has one for producing.
B
He doesn't really get nominated. She, like, doesn't really act.
A
No, she doesn't act anymore. But even when she.
B
I guess she was in, like, a couple, like, cult classics.
A
Yeah. Mr. And Mrs. Smith. Yes. He has two Oscars.
B
So I just don't think it's fair to compare, like, Zendaya's career to Angelina Jolie's.
A
So you're thinking that. Because he only recently won his first one for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. And before that he had won one, but as a producer, because he did 12 Years a Slave. I remember seeing him on stage with Lupita.
B
So he just won it. Like, he's not an Oscar guy. I guess Tom Holland probably hasn't won an Oscar either, but he's three years old. Like, he's not far off.
A
Yeah. And like, when you're doing the Odyssey and the biggest movies of the year, like, Spider man, like, an Oscar's in your future.
B
Future. Yeah.
A
I don't know if Zendaya she's definitely been nominated. Challengers. Yes. Last year, I did not like that movie. Just hot take. I don't. I don't know if anybody cares.
B
I didn't see it.
A
You would hate it.
B
Yeah, I. What am I gonna watch next? Once I finish my book for the redheads, I can get back to my watching. And after off campus, like, we're kind
A
of having a hangover.
B
Where do I go from there? And I have to work within whatever apps were already logged into on the tv.
A
I did get into Hulu, so Hulu is now open for you if you wanted. I found the password, but it will
B
log in automatically to my tv.
A
No, no, I can log you in,
B
but, like, what if I want to log in? You're asleep. I could see that happening.
A
I could just text you the login.
B
But you might need to, like, give a code.
A
I might need to. Well, it would actually be Olivia's husband, not me, because I'm not logging in.
B
I'm just saying I'm not.
A
I got in. I got in code free.
B
Okay.
A
Just saying.
B
No, no.
A
What are the kids watching now? What's viral, girl?
B
We. We asked people this question the other day.
A
So it is, like, a little bit of a slow season.
B
Yeah, it's summer.
A
Things pick up in a couple days.
B
Earl Meets World comes out first week of September. I feel like there was something I was gonna watch. I'll remember and I'll report back.
A
Well, those are the fast five. You definitely needed to know them. It's getting a little warm in here. Are you warm?

B
I feel like. Like, I feel like we have a lot of subscribers.

Claudia shares her ongoing thumb pain, which has yet to be diagnosed, and jokes about the family not taking her ailment seriously:

The hosts gush about their recent Patreon vlog, a family shopping spree with sister Margo, calling it their "best vlog ever":
