What if I told you there's one molecule inside your body that you literally cannot live without? It's quietly running out every single day. They call it the master antioxidant. Your liver makes it. Your immune system runs on it. Your skin glows because of it. It's called glutathione. Today, I'm going to walk you through the 15 most asked questions about glutathione. Glutathione is a tripeptide, meaning three amino acids, glutamic acid, cysteine, and glycine. Glutathione is one of those foundational molecules. It's quietly running every system in your body every second of every day, every Tylenol you take, every drink you have, every late night, every breath of polluted air, every plastic water bottle, all of it is burning through your glutathione reserves. So let's get into it. Question number one, Ultimate human. What if I told you there's one molecule inside your body that you literally cannot live without that's quietly running out every single day? And it's the difference between feeling 35 and feeling 65. They call it the master antioxidant. Your liver makes it. Your immune system runs on it. Your skin glows because of it. Your mitochondria, the engines inside of every single cell, depend on it to make energy. And here's the kicker. By the time you hit middle age, your body's glutathione production has dropped substantially from where it was in your 20s. It's called Glutathione. Glutathione. And if you've never heard of it, you're not alone. But once you understand what it does, you'll never look at fatigue, brain fog, dull skin, slow recovery, or that 3pm Crash the same way again. Here's what most people don't know. Every Tylenol you take, every drink you have, every late night, every breath of polluted air, every plastic water bottle, all of it is burning through your glutathione reserves. So today, I'm going to walk you through the 15 most asked questions about glutathione. What is it? What it does? What depletes it? How do you bring it back? And at the end, I'll show you the only delivery method that's been shown to nearly triple your absorption and why I personally take it every single day. This is the ultimate human podcast. So let's get into it. Question number one. What is glutathione? Well, glutathione is a tripeptide Meaning three amino acids, glutamic acid, cysteine, and glycine. It's produced naturally by your liver, and it is called the master antioxidant. And it's found in every single cell in the human body? That's right. Not one cell in your body is not containing glutathione. With the highest concentrations in the liver, spleen, your eyes, skin and brain. L. Glutathione is the active biologically usable form discovered in 1888, but its role wasn't fully understood until the 1980s. Your body makes it on demand, and it's not stored for long term, which is why daily supplementation matters. If antioxidants were a support team, bl, vitamin C, and vitamin E would be the role players. Glutathione is the captain. So question number two. What does glutathione actually do for your body? Well, it detoxifies the liver. It binds to heavy metals, plastics, alcohol, byproducts, pharmaceutical residues, and it just escorts them right out of your body. It recycles other antioxidants. It reactivates vitamin C and vitamin E. So they keep working. It powers the immune system, what's called T cells. They literally cannot multiply without adequate glutathione. It protect mitochondria, the energy factories that determine how you actually feel each day. It supports skin clarity, recovery, sleep quality, brain fog reduction, and athletic performance. Every breath you take, every drink of water, every meal, your body is using glutathione to clean up the mess. It's your internal janitor, the security system, and the energy crew rolled into one. So question number three. Why is glutathione called the master antioxidant? Well, because it's the only antioxidant your body produces internally in significant amounts. Think about how important this must be to cellular function. If you make it inside your body on your own, it regenerates other antioxidants. Vitamin C, vitamin E, CoQ10. And it extends their lifespan. It's the body's first line of defense against oxidative stress, the root driver of aging and chronic disease. So if I was to translate that. What? Without enough glutathione, every other supplement you take is doing half its job. You can take all the vitamin C in the world, but if your glutathione is tanked, you're filling a leaky bucket. So question number four. What are the signs and symptoms of low glutathione? Persistent fatigue that sleep doesn't seem to fix. Brain fog, poor focus, slow recall, Frequent colds, slow recovery from workouts or illness Dull or uneven or aging Skin tone sensitivity to alcohol Bigger hangovers, longer recovery, higher inflammation markers Joint pain, slower healing Research links chronically low glutathione with neurodegenerative disease, autoimmune conditions, cardiovascular disease and even metabolic dysfunction. So question number five. What depletes glutathione and what should I avoid if I'm taking it? Acetaminophen is one of the fastest known glutathione drains. High doses are the number one cause of acute liver failure in the US and it's specifically because it vaporizes glutathione alcohol. Every drink burns glutathione to detox the acetyl aldehyde. What alcohol becomes chronic stress and poor sleep. They both drive up oxidative load and they burn through glutathione faster than your body can replace it. Environmental toxins, air pollution, pesticides, heavy metals, mold, plastics, ultra processed food and sugar. Aging itself Glutathione production declines steadily with age, so especially after midlife. So what should you avoid when you're taking it? Don't take it with a heavy meal that slows the uptake. And check with your doctor if you're on chemotherapy. If you've ever taken Tylenol after a workout or a hangover, you've drained the very thing your body needs to clean up that mess. So number six what foods naturally boost glutathione? Sulfur rich vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, kale, brussels sprouts, garlic and onions. Cruciferous greens contain sulforaphane which directly upregulates glutathione production. Grass fed whey protein high in cysteine, the rate limiting amino acid for glutathione synthesis. Avocado, asparagus, spinach, selenium rich foods like Brazil nuts, sardines, even eggs. Selenium is a CO factor for glutathione peroxidase. So you can't eat your way to optimal glutathione, but you can sure eat your way out of it. So question number seven. How can you increase glutathione naturally? Well, you can prioritize your sleep. Most glutathione regeneration happens during deep sleep stages. That's why I always harp on sleep being our human superpower. Train in zone 2. Moderate cardio upregulates, endogenous glutathione production. Cold exposure and sauna both stress the cell in productive ways that increase glutathione output. Eat sulfur rich foods Every day. Supplement with precursors like nac, which is N acetylcysteine, which you can get over the counter, Alpha lipoic acid, milk thistle and selenium. You can take glutathione supplementation directly, but I would take a liposomal form, the only oral delivery system that survives the gut. So question number eight. How much glutathione should you take per day? Most clinical research uses 250 to a thousand milligrams of liposomal glutathione daily. The sweet spot for Most adults is 500mg a day for general antioxidant support. Higher doses like a thousand milligrams plus for detox protocols. While you're actively detoxing or post illness recovery or skin and longevity goals, always start low. Aggressive detox can cause headaches, fatigue or rashes initially. So question number nine. What is the best time to take glutathione on an empty stomach? First thing in the morning, 30 minutes before food. That's the best time to take glutathione. Pair it with small fat, an MCT shot or coffee with cream to enhance the liposomal delivery. Avoid stacking it with caffeine. If you're sensitive to dehydration, drink water alongside of it. So most people stack their stack. Take this one alone on an empty stomach and let it go to work. So question number 10. Does Glutathione lighten the skin? Well, let's talk about the truth versus the trend, because the answer is yes and no and the nuance matters. Glutathione inhibits something called tyrosinase, the enzyme that produces melanin. So in clinical settings, especially IV protocols, it can lighten hyperpigmentation in your skin. But the headline isn't bleaching it. Its evening tone, fading sun damage, reducing dark spots and giving a skin that lit from within kind of clarity. It's not a quick fix. Visible benefits typically appear after 8 to 12 weeks of consistent use. It works because it reduces oxidative damage in the dermis, the actual cause of dullness and aging. So you're not bleaching your skin. You're clearing the oxidative damage that's making it look dull in the first place. That's why I love glutathione. So question number 11. L glutathione versus liposomal versus IVs versus injections. What is the real difference? So standard L glutathione capsules are heavily degraded in the gut, which is why liposomal delivery has been Developed liposomal glutathione is encapsulated in a microscopic fat bubble called a liposome. And that protects it through the gut, what we call first pass metabolism, and it delivers it directly to the bloodstream. The gold standard for oral delivery is liposomal glutathione. Then there's IV glutathione. It's delivered directly into the vein. It has the highest bioavailability, but it requires a clinic visit. It costs between $100 and $300 a session and it really only lasts a few days. You can also inject it. You can inject it intramuscularly, faster than oral, but less efficient than an iv. It needs medical supervision. So the bottom line for daily, sustainable at home use, liposomal glutathione is the effective oral form for daily use. Question number 12, is Glutathione safe? Are there side effects? Yes, glutathione is considered very safe. It has attained GRAS status, generally recognized as safe by the US fda. Possible mild side effects include mild bloating, loose stools, or temporary detox systems like temporary headache or fatigue when it's starting. Because this is gearing up your detoxification pathways, it stacks really well with niacinamide, synergistic for the skin, vitamin C, which helps to recycle glutathione and transexamic acid when you use it topically. Talk to a doctor if you're pregnant or you're on chemotherapy or you're on immunosuppressants, or if you have asthma. So don't take it with high dose alcohol or acetaminophen. That's just defeating the purpose. Question 13, what is liposomal glutathione and why does it actually matter? Well, liposomal means wrapped in a tiny lipid fat, that little sphere that mimics the membrane of your own cells. This lipid envelope protects glutathione from the stomach acid, from bile and from your digestive enzymes. It then fuses directly with intestinal cells, delivering the glutathione straight into circulation, bypassing the destruction that kills standard capsules. But not all liposomal products are equal. The quality of the lipid, the particle size and the formulation really determine whether absorption actually happens. Most glutathione supplements are like sending a love letter through a paper shredder. Liposomal is sending it in a sealed envelope. It's hand delivering it. So question 14 is, how does Symbiotica's absorption rate compare? Well, in a randomized double blind crossover clinical study, Symbiotica's liposomal glutathione was tested head to head against standard comparators. Symbiotica delivered 2.86 times higher total absorption, which is called a positive AUC, than any comparator peak blood. Glutathione was 2.37 times higher with Symbiotica 0.83 nanograms versus 0.35 nanograms per deciliter. That is a huge difference. And levels stayed elevated throughout the 24 hour mark. Sustained release, not a spike, and then a crash. So with Symbiotica, you're not just getting more glutathione into your bloodstream. You're keeping it there long enough to actually do the work. That's why I personally use the symbiotic of glutathione. Other brands talk absorption. Symbiotica passed a test on it. Triple the bioavailability shown in a clinical setting is why you want to gravitate towards this form of liposomal glutathione. Question 15, why does Gary take Symbiotica glutathione every single day? Well, glutathione is in my daily stack every morning on an empty stomach. And why this brand? It's because the absorption data, the only data that matters, everything else is marketing. Fluff, clean ingredient profile, no synthetic fillers, no artificial flavors, no junk, the taste, the convenience, no needles, no going to a clinic and the consistency of a daily ritual. I'm really not interested in expensive urine. I'm interested in molecules that actually reach my bloodstream. I take it first thing in the morning, before coffee, before training, and it sets the tone for the whole day. If oxidative stress is what ages you, glutathione is the closest thing we have to daily reset button. As you may know, I'm not loyal to any specific supplement brand. I'm loyal to data. And the data on this one is the cleanest I've ever seen. If you've ever seen me represent other supplement brands, the reason why I now in favor of glutathione from Symbiotica is precisely for that reason. So look, if you made it this far, you're not the kind of person who's satisfied with average energy, average skin, average recovery or average aging. You're here because you want to be the ultimate version of yourself. And that doesn't happen by accident. It happens by getting the foundational molecules right? So glutathione is one of those foundational molecules. It's quietly running every system in your body every second of every day, and most of you are running on fumes even without knowing it.
