One of our greatest desires in recording therapy and theology episodes is to help you work through what you're walking through. But. But if you're in a situation where you don't know exactly what you're dealing with, then you probably are looking for some kind of an explanation, some kind of container, maybe even some kind of verbiage so that you can talk about this. Maybe there's a hurtful or even harmful relationship dynamic that you're experiencing, but you can't quite put your finger on what the real issue is. Maybe there are problems you're facing in a relationship that you're exhausted of circling around and around, but you don't know how to make real progress. Or maybe there's a relationship that is truly sucking the life out of you and you're starting to realize you aren't gonna be able to take much more of this. Or maybe you've made some discoveries or there's been some blowups, or you've been on the receiving end of pretty extreme anger, but you don't know how to make any of it stop. Have you ever felt confused and in exhaustion? Ask yourself in disbelief what is really going on here? This is what we want to speak to on season eight of Therapy and Theology. We're going to cover the victim mentality, love bombing and gaslighting, anger and blaming, narcissism and borderline personality disorder, what addiction is and what the impact of it is. And pornography. Me, Dr. Joel Mutamale and counselor Jim Kress want to help you get your bearings and gather language for the things you may feel so lost in. Trying to navigate yourself, putting words to what you're experiencing is not for the purpose of attacking or labeling someone else, but rather for the purposes of creating more self awareness so that you can get your head above the clouds, see what you're really dealing with and discern what your next steps are. Let's get out of that dysfunctional dance and be bravely honest about what we're experiencing behind closed doors. As I've heard one counselor say before, it's time to turn down the music and turn the lights on.
