If you got a Bible, go to John, chapter one. And I got a tag team preacher with me this weekend. It is not a person. It is an animal. So I'm gonna invite my friend Sean out to the stage. This is a baby lamb here in Oklahoma, belongs to the Mahaffey family. Give Sean a big hand as he's coming out on stage. This is his owner, Nora, 10 years old.
B
Come on, Shawn. Shawn. Yes.
A
Come on, my buddy. It's you and me. It's you and me. We've now done this for the last two services.
B
All right.
A
Thank you, Nora. Yes. Give Nora a big hand. Thank you, guys. So in the last service, he bad a lot. He was amen in my sermon. He might do it again this sermon. Last night, he fell asleep during my sermon. I was just holding, just rocking him to sleep. I've had some practice. I got five kids, if I haven't told you. So I've rocked some babies. But, you know, I want to preach to you this weekend about the Lamb and the power of the Lamb and how the Bible talks about the Lamb and John the baptist. John, chapter 1, verse 29. The disciple John wrote about John the Baptist. In this moment, two different characters. You had John, disciple whom Jesus loved, John the beloved. He named himself that. And then there was John the Baptist, who prepared the way of Jesus. And when John the Baptist was baptizing people in the Jordan river, he starts talking about a teacher, a Lord, a savior who's coming that is so much greater than him that he doesn't even have, like, the worthiness to untie the sandals of this Savior. And all of a sudden, Jesus walks up. And when Jesus walks up to the Jordan River, John says these words, behold the Lamb of God. Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. When John said this, he was referring to the Lamb that the Old Testament understood. And so I want to back up. If you got a Bible, go to Exodus, chapter 12. I'm going to try to flip through my Bible while I'm holding a lamb. It's kind of tough. Y' all pray for me here. We got this, Shawnee. We got this. Exodus, chapter 12. He's like, I don't know about you, but I don't got this. Exodus, chapter 12, verse 1. This is where the Lamb was instituted into a story of God. God was delivering the Israelites out from slavery. They had been in bondage under Pharaoh, who was very cruel and just mean and just drove these Israelites into just. Just terrible places, mistreated them, abused them killed them. And so God said, enough is enough. I am delivering my Israelites out from this bondage of slavery. Well, it represents Jesus in the New Testament delivering us from the bondage of sin and the slavery to our flesh and to fear and shame and anxiety and darkness. Everything in the Old Testament points to the New Testament. Everything in the Old Testament is a shadow and a type of. Of the New Testament. So here's how God does it. In Exodus 12, verse 1, the Lord spoke to Moses and said, listen, from now on, this is your beginning. As I lead you out, you are being born again. And this will be the beginning of a new day. This new life that I'm leading you into, you will celebrate the start of something fresh. This is what happens when we give our lives to Jesus. He gives us a new life. We are born again into his salvation. Then he says this in verse three, tell the whole community, tell the church, tell Israel that each family is supposed to select a lamb. Now, from this moment on, he was instituting the Passover supper. It would be called Seder. Seder was a annual tradition that every family in Israel would select a lamb. And on the first Sunday of this selection week, they would call it Selection Sunday. Not like Selection Sunday for sports that you guys know about in the draft. But Selection Sunday was choosing a lamb that was without blemish, a male lamb with no broken bones that would pay for the sins of that family and be a reminder to that family on Passover week for what God did for the Israelites. Hey, buddy, I think he just growled at me. I think he's hungry. He's like, you're not talking about me. You're not going to sacrifice me, are you? No, Sean. You're not my animal. But look at this. It says. It says, pick an animal, select an animal. Now, I want to. I want to title this message. A lot can happen in a week. If you're taking notes, just write these words down. A lot can happen in a week. Because what we're going to see in Holy Week is everything is connected to Exodus, chapter 12. And it is in this week that Jesus is headed during Passover, towards the cross. Here's what Moses told the Israelites, what God told Moses. He says, if any house is too small for a whole lamb. Notice that it doesn't say if anybody's too big for the. There is no problem too big for the lamb to solve. There is no sin too big. There is no shame. There is no sickness. There is no cancer that is too big for the lamb to Heal. Come on. Because of the blood of the lamb, not only am I forgiven, but I am healed and saved. Once you understand the power of the lamb, you start connecting the dots in these scriptures and it comes alive to you. So he says, if any house is too small for the whole lamb, they must share one with their neighbor. In other words, share the lamb with your neighbor. Everybody say, share the lamb with your neighbor. Now, this is what we do every week, but especially during Easter. We share the lamb with our neighbors who aren't yet right with God, who aren't in the house of God. We take the lamb to the streets to the north, to the south, to the east, to the west. We take the lamb on the missions field. We share the lamb with our neighbors in Guatemala and in Honduras and Mexico and Dominican Republic. We share the lamb when we go to the prisons. Every time we go and minister to the men's prisons and the women's prisons. Prisons. And we're sitting there with these prisoners. What are we doing? We're sharing the lamb with our neighbors. This is what God told the Israelites to do. Don't keep this lamb to yourself. Share it with those around you. Share it with the neighbors. People need the lamb in these days, right now. But then he says this. Take the lamb in verse five, bring it into your house. And in verse six, he says, take care of the lamb. Everybody say, take care of the lamb. Jesus tells parables in the New Testament about a lamb. He says, suppose one of you is a shepherd and you have a hundred sheep. And one of your sheep, a little lamb, goes off and that lamb wanders into the wilderness and gets lost and is trapped. Wouldn't you leave the 99 to go and find that one lost sheep, that one lost lamb, little Sean. Oftentimes, Jesus spoke about the lambs of his flock. In fact, In John chapter 10, he said, I am the good shepherd. Everybody say, the good shepherd. Jesus said, I watch out for my sheep. The good shepherd lays his life down for his sheep. Jesus was telling his disciples, you are my sheep. And my sheep hear my voice, and they know my voice, and they follow me. And as a good shepherd, I lay my life down. The hireling. He runs when there's trouble, when a wolf shows up. The hired shepherd, the hired servant, he doesn't care for the sheep. But a good shepherd watches over his sheep. Friends, we got a good shepherd up in heaven. Can we thank God for the good shepherd we have through Jesus Christ, who laid his life down for us? David said it like this in Psalm 23. The Lord is my shepherd. To have a shepherd, you got to be a sheep. A lot of people want a shepherd, but they don't want to be a sheep. They don't want to be led. They don't want to be guided. They don't want to be directed. They don't want to be corrected. A good shepherd directs and corrects. A good shepherd encourages and rebukes. A good shepherd watches out for the flock. David said, the Lord is my shepherd. I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, leads me beside still waters. He's my shepherd. He takes care of me. He restores my soul. He leads me down the good paths of righteousness, even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. And I'm telling you, every lamb walks through some hard times. I've been to Israel. I've seen where the shepherds are at. They live nomadic lives. It's not always sunny in Israel. There's stormy days, there's cold days. There's snow that falls on those sheep. Those sheep walk through valleys and on mountaintops, but the shepherds watch over the sheep. So David says, you set me at a table in the presence of my enemies. Now, I think David was not just talking about any table. I think he was talking about the Lord's table. Lord, you set me at a table. You prepare a table before me. If there was anyone that understood this scripture, it was Jesus. When he sat at a table in the presence of Judas, in the presence of people that would run from him and betray him, David said, you set a table before me in the presence of my enemies. And then he says this. You anoint my head with oil. You anoint my head with oil. Now, oil is used by shepherds to actually bring healing ointment to the eyes of their sheep. So when sheep are out in the pasture and flies land on their face, there's a lot of flies in Israel, especially near the sheep. These flies will land. These bugs will land on the face of the sheep, and they will lay eggs, and it is gross. And those eggs will harvest, and there will be more flies and more stuff. And it's all to blur the vision of the Lamb. So what shepherds do to heal the eyes and to heal the vision of the lamb is they pour oil over the head, and the oil runs down the head of that sheep, of that lamb, and it washes out, cleanses out, and acts as a defense mechanism against the flies. In the Bible, the devil is called the Lord of the Flies. Here's what the devil does. He tries to mess with your life. He tries to mess with your vision. He tries to mess with your hope. He tries to mess with who your shepherd is. He tries to make you feel discouraged and afflicted and tormented and the victim. But today, the oil of the Holy Spirit is in the house. And there is healing in the room and there is freedom in the room. And when the oil pours down your head, the enemy cannot stay. The enemy cannot stay in the presence of the Holy Spirit. You know what God told Moses? He said, when you take this lamb and you take care of this lamb, and the day comes that you sacrifice this lamb, he says in verse 7, Take the blood of. Of this Lamb. Exodus 12. 7. Take the blood of this lamb. The blood acts as a defense mechanism. He says, I want you to put it over the top of your doorpost. Make sure that your house is covered by the blood, because there is an angel of death coming. And that angel of death will not enter any house that is covered by the blood. Any house. Listen, if the angel of death cannot cross that bloodline, then the devil cannot cross that bloodline. Anyone who's been bought by the blood of Jesus Christ, who's put their hope in the blood of Jesus, anyone who's been saved by the blood of the lamb, I'm telling you right now, the devil cannot mess with your family, cannot mess with your kids. Even though weapons are formed against you, they shall not prosper. That blood is a boundary. It says, not in my house, not in my kids, bedrooms, not in my marriage, not in my mind. I put the blood of Jesus. Notice that he says, put the blood on the doorpost, not on the floor. In other words, don't trample on the blood of the lamb. Don't treat the blood of the lamb as common or as unholy. Don't approach the Lord's table with just an unholy manner. A common, oh, it's not a big deal. We're just taking communion. No, no, no, friends. Communion is holy. It is sacred. It is precious. That blood speaks stronger than your sin and your sickness and your fear and your shame. And Jesus says, listen, this is something. When Jesus showed up, Jesus was saying, I am the lamb. Because in the Old Testament, every year they had to have a spotless lamb. Moses told the Israelites, he said, every year we're going to do this. That night, the angel of death passed through Egypt. It never touched any houses that were covered by the blood. God told Moses, he said, tell the Israelites, when they cook the Lamb. They are not to boil it in water. He says, don't water down the lamb. Don't water down the lamb. I want the lamb on fire. I want the lamb cooked on an open fire. I want that lamb so hot on fire. Can I tell you, churches and preachers that water down the lamb, they don't want to sing about the blood of Jesus. They don't want to talk about the blood of Jesus. Not in my house. At Victory, we're going to proclaim that it is only by the blood of Jesus what can wash away our sins. Only the blood of Jesus. Don't water down the lamb. Don't water down the gospel.
B
Gospel.
A
Don't water down the blood. Some man came up to my dad when I was a kid. He said, your Easter productions are too bloody. I can't bring my kids here. It's too bloody. And in my mind, I'm like, your kids have seen way worse stuff on tv, okay? But these parents are like, I just don't want my kids to see the blood. Jesus and the blood and the whips on his back and the crown of thorns. Your church is just too bloody at Easter, I just go somewhere else where it's a little watered down. Because Victory is just too. My dad said, we will not water down the blood of Jesus. I'll never forget. He said, listen, we will be the bloodiest church on that Easter week because we want people to remember. It is only because of the blood of Jesus that we are saved from the corruption and the destruction and the wickedness of our own fleshly sins. If it wasn't for the blood of Jesus, I would be lost. I'd be a mess. I'd be a wretch. Amazing Grace saved a wretch like me. And so Jesus enters on that holy week and the first thing he does, because every week, every year on this Passover week in the Old Testament, they didn't call it Palm Sunday. In the Old Testament, leading up to the Gospels, if you read the Bible and you were, like, trying to follow what was going on in the children of Israel, the children of God, you would understand. Every year, they had Selection Sunday. We now call it Palm Sunday. We call it Palm Sunday because we're on the other side of Jesus going to the cross for us. So we look at him entering into Jerusalem the week before he died. The final week of his life. If you knew you only had one week left to live. If you knew you only get one shot. Do not miss this chance to blow this opportunity. Comes once in a Lifetime. Yo, listen for a second. Jesus knew he only had one week left. What does he do? He enters into Jerusalem on a donkey, on the foal of a donkey. Two processions that day. One procession was King Herod coming in on a horse with Roman centurions demanding allegiance, loyalty. People must bow to the Roman Empire. Jesus comes in on a donkey on the other side of Jerusalem, not demanding anyone to bow, not demanding anyone to worship him, knowing that his closest friends are about to betray him and run from him. And he still eats with them. And he comes into Jerusalem on Selection Sunday. I think he picked up on the clues no one else did. He knew what he was doing. First thing he does is he goes to the temple on Monday. He enters into the temple. Now, in the Old Testament, once you selected a lamb, the next thing you did as a family is you took that lamb to the temple for the priest to look at it to make sure that it was the right sacrifice for your family sins, the substitution, the atonement for your sins. What does Jesus do? He enters into Jerusalem knowing he is the lamb that is about to be slain for the sins of all humanity. And what does he do? He goes to the temple. And instead of asking the priest if he's the right person, he starts flipping the tables. Because he says, listen, you guys have corrupted this house. You've messed it up. This will be a house of prayer. He begins to preach a sermon on Tuesday. Everybody say Tuesday. On Tuesday, he starts preaching to the Pharisees and the scribes and the Sadducees, and he starts calling out the hypocrisy that has been growing in Jerusalem. And then the tension starts growing on Wednesday. Everybody say, Wednesday. A lot can happen in a week. On Wednesday. It gets so bad, the religious leaders say, we can't hear another sermon from this guy. He's too much. He's calling us out. He's exposing us. He must be dealt with. We need to find a disciple, someone who's close to him, close enough to touch him, but not so close that he's loyal to him. Close enough to sit by him, but not close enough to stay with him. Close enough to eat the loaves and the fishes and benefit from the relationship with Jesus, but not close enough that he would protect his pastor. And they find a man named Judas. On Wednesday night, they asked Judas, would you betray? Would you give your shepherd away? And what would it cost? What would it cost you to betray your relationship with Jesus? We all have a price. For Judas, it was 30 pieces of silver for some of you, it's 30 minutes of pleasure, 30 seconds of something. 30. 30 pieces of silver. Judas betrays his relationship with Jesus for a temporary satisfaction that later on turns to gravel in his mouth. On Thursday, it's called Maundy Thursday. Jesus knows that he's headed to the cross. He is the lamb prepared for the slaughter. And so he calls his disciples. He says, I want to have one last supper with you. One last supper. They're going, last supper. No, no, no. Like, we're gonna keep hanging out together. We're gonna keep eating together. Jesus. Jesus says, no, this is it. This is my last supper. I will not eat like this again until I eat with you in heaven. They're looking at him. They're like, what are you talking about? He says, I want to meet at a house. I want to go to a house. I want to bring my presence to a house. I want to bring my hope, my joy, my love, my. To a house. To a house. Jesus still wants to show up in a house this week. Not just this house, but your house. Everybody say my house. Jesus wants to have dinner with you at your house this week. He wants to fellowship with you. He wants to fill your house with his love and his peace and his joy and his kindness and his grace. And so they go to a house and they sit in an upper room and they sit at a table, and everything is at the table. The bread is at the table. The juice is at the table. Judas is at the stage table. All the disciples are at the table. The only thing that was missing, if you read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, the one thing that's not at the table is the main course. Now, in the Old Testament, every Passover supper included a lamb. They would eat lamb that had just been grilled on the fire, but there was no lamb on the table. Where was the lamb? The lamb wasn't on the table. The lamb was at the table, seated at the table. Oh, yeah, Sean liked that. Alright, give Shawn a big hand. I'll let him go. Nora, thank you so much. If you guys want to get a picture with Shawn or the sheep later on, you can get a picture with them after service. I want you to take your communion element with me, but don't take it yet. Jesus told his disciples, this bread, this unleavened bread, no yeast in this bread. This bread represents my body broken for you. This juice represents my blood that's poured out for you. Now hold on just for a moment. Jesus said, from this moment on, Passover is changing you no longer Do Passover to remember what happened in Egypt. Now you take this and it's called communion. And he said, I want you to do this in remembrance of me and do it often. So something that I've decided we're going to do as a church is we're going to start taking communion once a month as a church. We're going to do it on a weekend, once a month at Victory. How many all would enjoy if we just took communion at the first Sunday of the month? Okay, so Jesus says, do this often and do it in remembrance. Everybody say, remember. He said, I want this to stir up memory for you. I want this to be a reminder of what happened in your past. How dark things got at one point in your life, that if it wasn't for Jesus, you'd still be puking in the toilet because you're drunk from all the stuff you did in the world. How many all got a past? Anyone been delivered from some stuff in your life? Anyone still being delivered from some stuff? God's still working on you like the roads of Oklahoma still under construction. Till death do us part. And so the truth is, God wants us to remember not just the past, but even the present, that if it wasn't for the blood of Jesus, we would all deserve hell. We would all deserve. The punishment for our sins would be hell and the condemnation of the curse of our sin. But because Jesus paid the price, he said, I want you to remember. And he said, when you drink, I want this. This is not the world drinks to forget. When the world. When the world goes to the bar, they're drinking to forget their memories. Whiskey River Take my mind away, will he? Nelson said, there's some country songs that I've heard that are just all about drinking. That I'll forget what happened tonight. Drinking to forget what happened this last week. You know, just. Just drunk. Drunk so much that I don't even remember what happened. But Jesus said, when you drink this cup, you are remembering what I've done for you. It's not like the world drinks. Jesus said, I want you to drink to remember that if it wasn't for the blood of Jesus. And then he says, remember, in other words, not just remember in your mind, but he plans to remember us back to his body. Some of you have become dismembered. Dismembered by shame, dismembered by anger, dismembered by unforgiveness, dismembered by church hurt. You've kind of just dismembered yourself from the body of Christ and Jesus says when we take communion, it's to remember you back to his body. It's to replace you back into the body, to remember you, your life into his life. That you would no longer have a separation because of sin and bitterness and hurt and pride and ego and anything that would hold you back. Paul said, when we take communion, take it in a holy manner. Get your heart prepared for this. So I want us just to bow our heads, close our eyes. If you're here right now and you need to repent of sin, you need to surrender. Worries, burdens, cares, unforgiveness. Maybe you need the Holy Spirit to just renew your mind. You came in here today with just an overcrowded mind. What tables does Jesus need to flip in your temple, the temple of your mind? Where does he need to do some spring cleaning? Just go in and say, hey, you've been letting some stuff pile up in your heart and in your head. That's not godly. And Jesus says, can I clean you? Can I renew you? Can I remember you? Can I restore you? Can I heal your mind and heart so that I can heal your body? If you're here right now with heads bowed and eyes closed, we're going to take communion. We're going to worship. But before we do, if you just need to surrender to the Lord, I want you to just lift your hand up. You're saying I need to repent, I need to surrender. There's some things I need to lay down. There's some things I need Jesus to change in my life. There's some areas where I just need his forgiveness. I need his mercy. You're in good. Listen, you're in good company. Hands going up all over this room. Bible says we've all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. We all need his mercy if we confess our sins. He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins. Just say this with me. Say, Jesus, I repent of my sins. I receive your forgiveness. I confess that you are my Lord, my Savior. You died on the cross for me. You rose from the grave and I believe in you and I trust in you. In Jesus name, Amen. Let's take the bread. He said, this bread represents my body broken for you. Take it and eat it. Remember what he did. He said, this cup represents my blood poured out for you. Take it and drink it and remember what I've done for you.
B
Thank you, Jesus.

Let's stand to our feet. The ushers are going to pass by, little bags or buckets that you can Drop that in and let's worship the Lord. The altar is open. If you need healing today, if you want to just come down to the altar and surrender to Jesus. If you want to come down to the altar for prayer, if you need to come down to the altar just to lay some burdens down, some worries down, some cares down, if you need healing in your mind or heart, come and meet us at the altar. We're just going to open up this altar for the next 10, 15 minutes. Let's just worship. Let's give it all to the Lord this morning.

Come on. How many are thankful that Jesus saved you, paid the price for you, raised you. If you need healing right now, would you just raise your hand? If you need healing in a certain part of your body, your mind, your heart, your life, if there's an area that you came in here today and you just go, man, if. If God's power is able to do it, I want to believe that he can. Raise your hand. We want to pray for you. If you're standing near someone with their hand raised, would you put your hand on their shoulder and just come in agreement? You know, the Bible says that when believers lay hands on the sick, there's healing that flows. And so today we know that the power is not here at the stage or at the altar. The power is in you and in me, those of us that believe in Jesus. So let's put our hands on someone's shoulder and let's believe. Whether it's cancer that needs to go, leukemia, whether it's healing in someone's ears, healing in someone's eyes, healing in someone's back, someone has had back pain, or healing in someone's neck, maybe here today and you just need healing in your feet. Maybe you've had pain in your feet, pain in your ankles, maybe you've had pain in a toe or pain on your knees. Or maybe you came here today and there's just been pain in your wrist. You haven't been able to move your wrist the right way or your arm. Lord, we pray for healing today. We thank you that by the stripes of Jesus there is healing. God, I thank you that the same healing that flowed 2,000 years ago did not stop when the Bible was finished being written. God, that that same healing power flows today. And God, that you're still writing stories of testimonies and miracles and breakthroughs, God to point the glory to you. In Jesus name. Lord, we worship you right now.

You know, there's people here today. It's your first time to victory. And what you're experiencing is the presence of God. Some of you, it's your first time to church and you're experiencing just the glory of God. It is so powerful. God was leading these last 15 minutes. No one on this stage was leading. What just happened that Was all. That was all you guys. And that was the Holy Spirit just leading these last 15 minutes of worship. And some of us here today, we needed this more than we realized. It's been for some, it's been a desert. It's been a season. Season of just. You've been like the deer that panted for the water, just saying, God, I need your presence. I need your touch. God, I need your holy Spirit. I need your grace. And it's here today. Just receive it. Just hold your hands out and just receive everything he wants to give you today. His grace, his mercy, his strength. Those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. His healing is here. His mental healing is here. For someone who's just had. Just. Just headaches, and you've had so many different things going on in your mind. You've been tormented in your mind. When Jesus showed up and he touched the man who had a legion of demons. The Bible says that he looked like he was in his right mind after Jesus touched him. Today, you're going to leave in your right mind. You're going to leave in your right heart. Because Jesus touched you. He healed you. He set you free. Satan, you gotta go. And God, I thank you right now that the wolf is rebuked, that the devil is rebuked. The Lord of the flies cannot touch the oil of the anointing in this room. God, I thank you, Lord, just for your grace that rests on us. You are the good shepherd, God, and you care for us. You lead us besides still waters. You restore our souls, God. Surely your goodness and your mercy follow us all the days of our lives. God, I thank you, Lord, that what you're doing in this house would just, God, carry into our house. Carry into the houses and the apartment complexes and the dorm rooms and the universities and the schools and the middle schools represented here today, and the high schools and the elementary and homeschool. God, I pray, Lord, that every person in this room, God, would carry what's happened today in this house to their house. And, Lord, that Tulsa would feel the presence of God flowing from victory, reaching the north to south, the east and the west. Beyond our city, beyond our state, beyond our nation. God, let. Let what's happening in here happen out there. There, Lord, use us this week to minister to people at the. At the gym and at the grocery store and at our job, in the workplace. God, Lord, at the car repair shop. God. Lord, when we're at school and we're in classes, in the hallways, God, in our neighborhoods, Lord, I pray this week you would just bring us across people's paths. That we could share the Lamb, that we could share the good news. That we could share the gospel and the power, the blood of God. Jesus. God, I pray this week you would be glorified at Victory like never before. That we would lift up the name of Jesus like never before and that people would be drawn towards you. If you believe it, say amen. And amen. Come on, Victory.
