Right. So now Trust. No, girl. Trust Nobody three. I thought that was supposed to be the final chapter. It was. Trust is 2021. Was trust nobody. That's the original film 23. You had trust nobody. Two still no trust and then Trust Nobody. Who can you trust? Final Chapter. So now here we are with Trust Nobody for everybody. Got a price.

Hey, you know if the fans want it, I gotta go get it to get it for em. The distributors called me. Everybody said we need part four. So I had to write me a part four.

I was about to say they starring in the films. I don't want no beef, I'm just, I'm just playing. So did you always see yourself as a filmmaker or did you just like start it as a hustle and now it's just turned into something bigger because like you just said like it was in high demand.

Well, I ain't gonna say a hustle because I always have been in entertainment for like over 30 years either from the. I come from the music game with the hit singles and I came in with just doing parties for celebrities and stu stuff like that.

[AJ Holiday]

Right.

[Mr. Big Stevo]

Working with Boosie and everybody. So all but I had a. A wild imagination. I always, I wrote this film, part 120 years ago before I even put it out. And I always wanted to shoot a movie. You know, I always wanted to be somewhere up in so called Hollywood era. So I always wanted to be in that realm. I ain't know what is an actor or a writer or what, but I know I wanted to be a part of that. That society is entertaining people.

[AJ Holiday]

So you still feel like that about Hollywood now since you've created like this entry point right. For black Hollywood we're calling it. Right. It's not black exploitation films. What's the problem with that term?

[Mr. Big Stevo]

I just seem like it is like a stamp on it. I love black exploitation films. I love the Mac. I love Willie Dynamite. I love. I watched Kui High last night. But the way they try to stimulate is low budget and actually it's just another good film, man. A good movie is a good movie. Right now this is what I'm about. Fifty years later, people still want to watch the Mac old and young.

Yeah, yeah.

So you had to do something good. Cooley High classic.

See I didn't know nothing about the Mac till Felicia was like trying to borrow Ice Cube vcr. She's like, but it's the Mac.

But see for you, for them even mention that is iconic.

Independent black films, they sometimes you know, get criticized for the production quality. But I think like, like 2B, we be looking forward to seeing like the up goofy in the films like it's

now like about it though them black rotation films save Hollywood and these black independent films from Milwaukee, Detroit and other areas created a big thing for say made to be what it is. Yeah, Fox better bought it, but they wouldn't have bought it wasn't for the blacks promoting and talking about it and putting these films that make you laugh about crazy stuff on there, right?

[AJ Holiday]

Why you think black people like. It's harder for black creators with the mainstream studios like to get in.

[Mr. Big Stevo]

They scared of us. You got to think about us people right now that's doing these films for the budgets. We're doing them for, you remember, for them to shoot a movie. They talking about $100 million, $50 million back in the day, $300 million, now 10 million. All this for the budgets. We're shooting for a hundred thousand, some people shooting for 20,000, you can tell. But people shooting up for these different budgets, right? But they're getting it done and they sell it and they doubling the money they got. Hollywood will shook right now. Hey, a lot of them jobs that people had, they ain't got them no more. They can't go to any producer like, hey, we need 300 million. Like you need 300 million. Got 80 movies on TV for under a million dollars. What should I give you that for? Make it happen. So yeah, that's what they mad at. They scared of that. Just like the black people ourselves, we take what we the little we can and make the best out of it, period.

Y' all saw that like the headlines with country, country Wayne, right, And how he's like making all his money on Facebook with these short films and shit like that. And like Hollywood, right, That's the big studio to trying to get the sauce, trying to get the formula right, because he's essentially. There's no production cost, basically. So I did want to talk about funding. Like how did you fund your very first project?

[Mr. Big Stevo]

Mine came from. I got a liquor company, Ricardo More Tequila, which basically funded that in my music world. So I just saved all my money and put it, you know, invested, took a chance.

[Tammy (Tam Bam)]

So it was self funded, essentially. Yes, I know that's right.

[Mr. Big Stevo]

You're looking like that. Like I'm lying

because I want to know like how much money because I got like some scripts I'm writing, right? But in my mind, like I'm a sell these scripts because I don't really want it to be like a. I want the production to be like, like not saying like the film's on to be your movies now. I'm not saying it's not. I want it like action films and shit like that, right? I don't want it to look crazy. Like, I want it to be like, like, like for real. Because I would probably sell it right, to a bigger studio. But realistically, how much does it cost, like to do an independent film? You said some people should be 20, 20, 000.

[Mr. Big Stevo]

And it looked like some people did 20 30, 000. Mine's we all probably like 250 or better. But. But you can't. Like I said, because you give it to a. You say your script to somebody, don't mean it's still gonna come out the way you think it can look. All you gotta do is find the right person, like a Beezy Jones that know what he's doing. Red cameras, you got people that got Hollywood hits with Apple phones. So it's all about the person who's shooting it and the editor, you know, in the style. If you get the right people behind it, you can have that vision how you want it. Trust me. So I don't think like you can't do it. Some people just don't take the extra step. And then you women look very successful, very sourceful. Y' all know everybody you can get. You can get things done for way cheaper than people might think you might get help from. You know, you can call some of your friends. Hey, I need somebody with a red camera. I need somebody with an Ari camera. Oh, we got you, sis. We're gonna let you use for seven days. I need a rest.

now. All right, so this is the fourth induction of Trust Nobody. What is it about portrayal that you that makes audiences keep coming back?

[Mr. Big Stevo]

Y' all know people like messy black

people in particular, black exploitation.

[Mr. Big Stevo]

I was just the one else he was talking to me. It's like, so who get killed this time? I said, damn. But you know, it's. But you know, it's crazy. It's the sound like that. But it's everyday life, you know, not as, as the movie of it, but just, you know, especially today's world. Like you don't even know your neighbor no more. Remember how you knew everybody in your neighborhood? You don't even know nobody in your neighborhood no more. You go to events, you worried about what's going to happen. Remember big festivals used to go to and, and you tried to, you know, you didn't worry about your family, have a good time. Now you be. Want to take your gun with you and worry about stuff. And this is an untrust, untrustworthy world right now. Our president, we don't trust them. These decisions he making, this is a world. It's untrue.

Like black men always like, I don't know if it's ptsd, I don't know if it's like. And I, I guess, I guess part of it, I understand why, right? But I also think like sometimes people, their energy might invite. You know what I'm saying? Like, I'm not thinking about having to. I do carry a gun all the time, but I'm not like, I'm not like looking for some shit to happen so I can use it though. But it's on me.

Women are the new men out here right now. Women are they having the bags, they're doing all the cheating. It's untrusting world, man. It's just, it's. Hey, man, it's a new world. We'll tell you.

Did you model one of the characters after yourself?

You have the main character, myself and, and people that, that I grew up, you know, watching around me, that, that influenced me. Yeah. So you can't. So Bricks is a character with multiple people. Just a part of my life. That. Yeah.

Biggie forever. Because I mean, that's how most of us was introduced to him. And then now he's been in, you know, Can't Trust nobody and everything else on tube 5, 10, 11, 12. What's the biggest lesson you've learned about people while building this franchise?

[Mr. Big Stevo]

You know, I just learned that like I came from the music world that it's business. So don't get attached to nobody. You know, I don't care how big of a star you make somebody or, or how good you treat them. End of the day, it's business.

[Tammy (Tam Bam)]

Have you ever felt betrayed by friends?

[Mr. Big Stevo]

Yeah. Yes.

[Tammy (Tam Bam)]

Yes.

[Mr. Big Stevo]

Family, friends, women. Yeah.

Did they stay? Did they stay? Your family and friends?

[Mr. Big Stevo]

No, I'm gonna say something. I had a friend steal my drawers when we was kids. Like, I never actually say nothing to her about it, but I like took them out her hamper and cut them up and left them on her bed.

If I can't have them, you can't either. That's just a small example. But yeah, usually I can't hold water. Now I gotta say something to you. If I feel some type of way, you know, I might say that. But then sometimes I do, you know, I've been told that I build RICO cases against people. I won't say shit until I'm fed up. And now it's like a blow up, right? So I'm trying to do better about that.

Sometimes you gotta confront somebody, you know, Sometimes people need to know because they think they're too slick for theyself, you know, and you telling them might save their life. Cause how you take it, the next person might not take it that way.

Like, what, what's your price? I mean, women gotta do men got a price for that dick or that?

Well, I can't, I, I, I can't tell you about the. But you know, sometimes you gotta pray for that woman to get what she want. Huh?

Sometimes whenever a gay person is posted or whenever a gay man is posted, like, content, it's the men in the comments saying, yeah, because y' all women. Because women are the ones that champion the gay men. Right? But women, we just nourish. We just nourish everybody. We just nurturers, right? So it's not that we're champion this behavior. Y' all niggas actually having sex with these men. Y' all having sex with the transsexual women. Y' all having sex with each other. So how is it that women are promoting, you know, people being gay? It's a man actually doing the thing.

So y' all sneaking and geeking and you mad at your. At the house because your. That's out is, like, not behaving how you want him to behave. You're trying to control everybody because you are not being yourself. You're not being your true authentic self, which is a gay man.
