Lorna Byrne
I see angels as physically as I would see a human being standing in front of me. And even sometimes the souls of loved ones. Signs of the moment is looking for the consciousness. They ain't going to find it. It's not in your brain. Realize that you're not just flesh and blood. You are a spiritual being as well.
Mayim Bialik
Lorna Byrne's memoir, Angels in My Hair has sold over 1 million copies.
This is a woman who has been saved from death many times by the guidance of beings that only she can perceive. Can you explain to us what it is that you have an ability to access?
Lorna Byrne
You have all the gifts I have. For some reason it was turned off. But if you practice, you can start to see. In the past we were more telepathic. Imagine if Jesus came back now and spoke about loving your brother. End war, be kind. The leaders of the world would be terrified of him.
Mayim Bialik
Talk about your experience encountering Satan.
Lorna Byrne
I was afraid, but yet I knew it couldn't harm me. God was showing me the evil of the world.
Mayim Bialik
How much do you have access to future information?
Lorna Byrne
I have an awful lot. I would love mankind to wake up a little bit. It's such a precious gift to be a knife. I don't care who you are or what you've done. I love you. I see something in you that you cannot see in yourself. Your soul, that spark of light of God, how pure and how good you are. And I believe in you. I see you all, every moment of my human life and beyond.

And welcome to our breakdown.
We've got a very, very special episode today, and it's a very unusual one. The woman that we're gonna speak to has had a life that by all accounts is truly unbelievable. From the time that she was very, very young, she realized she was not alone in the universe.
Okay?
But throughout her life, she encountered beings. She encountered experiences with people who were no longer living. And she was told information that she could not have had any other way except if she was told by some outside source. This is a woman also who was designated as being developmentally disabled. The word that her family used was retarded. And she ended up growing up, getting married, having many children, and writing eight books. She's an international best selling author. This is a woman who has been saved from death many times by the guidance of beings that only she can perceive. And there's an enormous amount for us to get into. It's really an honor to get to speak to Lorna Byrne. And Angels in My Hair is her autobiography. It's sold over 1 million copies worldwide. She's written seven other books, all with information that she believes she is tapping into that is available on a different plane of conscious experience. And in case you're already like what, I recommend you check out our episodes, for example, with theoretical physicist Thomas Campbell, who talks about many of the same things in a slightly different language. But Jonathan and I are all about finding what is is common among all of the people who are having experiences that science has yet been able to explain. Lorna's philosophy and what she's been taught is also incredibly consistent with much indigenous spiritual traditions in terms of our place on the planet, our relationship with nature, and our relationship with others. This is definitely one of the most unusual conversations we've ever had, but one that I think has a tremendous amount of. To add to all of our lives about what we're capable of.
Jonathan Cohen
What we're capable of is an amazing thing to focus on because she describes that at one point, especially when living closer to nature, that all humans perceived different levels of existence and different aspects of the human experience, and that we lost that along the way. But right now, there is a great awakening and that we are returning to an increased intuition, an increased extrasensory ability, being able to understand and access our guides, guardian angels, people that have passed, even understanding auras and what they mean, and looking at a body to even see if it may have illness and where that body may need help.
Mayim Bialik
This is an episode where we're going to ask you to suspend your disbelief and to set aside any preconceived notions you have about not only the word God, but the word angels, the word guides, even the notion of messengers. So these are all the human terms that we are using and that Lorna is using to try and describe a relationship and an interaction with something outside of most people's visual and perceptual framework. But you don't have to believe in angels the way you may have been taught when you were a kid to understand what angels in my hair is about and what it means to say that we are all surrounded by guardian angels or guides. So we're asking you to really take off your cynical hat on this one. Have an open mind and an open heart. There is so much goodness in this episode. It's really a pleasure to welcome Lorna Byrne to the Breakdown, all the way from Ireland. Break it down. Lorna, welcome to the Breakdown. We're very, very eager to talk to you. And I have more questions than I think you can answer in a lifetime. But we're so excited to get to hold some space with you this.
Lorna Byrne
Well, I'm excited as well to be doing this podcast with you. So I've just asked God and all the angels and all of everything, all that energy just to come forward. You know, what would you say? Every living thing, even the living things that we. Well, I would say most human beings don't see or here.
Mayim Bialik
Well, that's a Perfect place to start. So you possess an ability that you never thought of as an ability because it's simply the way you've always seen the world. But can you explain to us what it is that you have an ability to access?
Lorna Byrne
I see physically, even looking out the window here. You know, I see the trees and the mountains and the wildlife and the cattle, but I see so much more. Like, I am always trying to explain to people, our planet, every living thing is. It's all energy, if that's what we call it. I'm not even quite sure. And it's like every single. Even the grass, you know, here in Ireland, we see it as green, 40 shades of green. But I see so many other colors coming from the grass itself. It's just. And of course, I see, you know, on occasions, the soul of someone. I see the angels, but I see all this physically, and to me it's just normal. And it's only when someone like yourself asks a question like that, you know, I have been asked question, what can you see in between? And, you know, to see the air moving and the wind moving and seeing all the. What would I say, even the pollution in the atmosphere, but seeing what comes in, you know, from outside our planet, you know, what comes in from the universe as well. All that light that travels. And at times I've seen. Sometimes people might call them guides, but I call them angels, you know, traveling on that light as well. Like, to me, it's fascinating, but I thought everyone could see all this, you know, especially when I was very young and the angels would just say, lorna, you know, say nothing. I had to keep it a secret. You have to remember, I can't read as such. I'm severely dyslexic. So as a child, even as a teenager, even as an adult and even today, people look on me as, you know. Well, some of them, not all of them, as what would you say? She's crazy, she's mad, you know, And I can look at the human body and it becomes translucent. I'm sure, you know, everything is actually translucent. You know, if you think it isn't, you're. You're missing. And I'm. I'm having some doctors interested in. To learn how to see the human body in that. In that way. So I am planning in the future, but only for medical doctors to do a workshop for four or five days to help them to learn how to see, because I don't understand why you can't see, you know, And I would say to people, it's Kind of I'm seeing through the spiritual part of me, my soul, through my human eyes, but through every particle of my human body as well. This is only a body. At times. I don't understand why humans are the way you are. I find that confusing.
Jonathan Cohen
I agree. I don't understand how we are the way we are either.
Lorna Byrne
I don't understand why mankind, you know, your soul, the spiritual part of you, is pure love, you know, and why we don't show that love to each and every one of us and yet were looking for all of the gifts that you can't buy in a shop. You have them all, you know, and to me, that is because I'm still learning. God and the angels, my guides, are still teaching me, you know, I'm still learning. So if anyone tells you they know everything, no way. Like, this world is fantastic. It's so, so beautiful. And human beings, it's like I just say to God, you know, why can't I give them a shake and wake them up? Do they not understand how incredible you are? You are capable of the impossible. And I always remember one scientist saying to me, lorna, if a scientist ever says to you that, you know, something is impossible, by the way, Lorna, that's not a scientist, then because everything is possible. And yes, even the stardust that's coming in, you know, you're breathing in stardust, you know it's coming into you. Like, isn't that incredible? And you know, we're doing this podcast, what do you think? It's traveling on light. And your soul is light, is that spark of light of God, you know, your guides, even the souls of loved ones are light and they're beautiful. Like, I'm kind of blown away myself. Like, I always thought everybody knew all those things. Like when you have a professor or someone coming from Oxford or from highly educated and they turn around and I ask them the question, you know, like, surely you know all this. And they turn around and say to me, no, we're here to learn. Like, to me, that's. I thought people that went to school, secondary school, university, you know, knew all of this. And to me it's just normal. You have to remember.
Mayim Bialik
Yeah, I think that's sort of where we'd love to have you sort of help us sort of frame this.

One of the questions I have, and I mean this in a loving and generous way, why you? Why were you chosen? Why were you given a gift that I don't know that I've heard of anyone else having this particular set of abilities or awareness or consciousness.
Lorna Byrne
I have often asked God, you know, why me? You know? And the only answer I ever get is why not you? I suppose maybe one part of it has to do with being maybe severely dyslexic and not being contaminated by the world. You know, my teachers have been the angels and God and you can call them guides that call different names all over the world. They have taught me everything I know, even to put up my hand when I have to go, right. You know, because I'm severely dyslexic. So I would talk with my hands as well in that way. I don't know. I give out to God and say, why didn't he pick a man? Like, as a man would be listened to? Women were still put down, you know, were not listened to. And in a sense, you know, anyone that allows themselves to become open, allows the soul to come forward, that love, that compassion, that understanding, connecting spiritually, you know, we're afraid. People are afraid, you know, because they're afraid of being ridiculed and laughed at. I don't know why me in one sense, why not you? Why not Jonathan, you know, and yet I know you have all the gifts I have. It's just, I think religion, or before religion, for some reason, it was turned off for power. Mankind changed. You know, we became more obsessed with, you know, having control and having power. And we see a lot of that happening today in the world. But I do have to smile because there's lots of good out there. And the intertwining will happen. And that's the intertwining of the human body and soul. And again, that's another stage of revolution. And science is at the moment, because they've said it to me, expecting the next stage of evolution, they feel it's quite close. So I believe it is the intertwining. And I always remember being asked, you know, Lorna, where did you get the word intertwining from? And I just said, well, God has said it, the intertwining. And they just turned around and said, well, that's a word that science has used for a long, long time.
Jonathan Cohen
I hear you talking about how at one point humans had this much more broadly amongst everyone, that there was people who could access this extra sensory information. And that through the process of education, industrialization, prioritization, to, you know, build factories, if and maybe not even in the industrial age, but even before that, the more we started to live outside of a natural connection to the earth, more connected to the earth, we began to lose that and transition out of that in order to build the society and structures that we have today. And especially during the age of the expansion of religion, Religion taught us not to do that, to rely on the religious authority in order to understand a reality or truth. And now it seems like there's an interesting acceleration of technology which almost mirrors our Spiritual advancement, the idea that we are light and that light and energy is what powers our technology and connects the Internet. You know, the Internet is in some ways a reflection of our spiritual evolution where information is everywhere and we can tap into it and share it instantaneously. The same way that you can look at the earth and see all the multiple layers of dimensions of whether it's spirit or soul. And you know, that's kind of like the Internet in a way. And as the Internet expands, so do the ideas that people who are listening can now be reminded that there is more to the physical reality and the spiritual reality. So many of these ideas are being passed through this new medium and starting to what has been called the awakening or this integration period or this waking up of humanity where we are remembering the fact that we have all these extra abilities. And a lot of people are like, well, I don't know, I can't believe it. Science hasn't proven it yet and, and other scientists are like open minded and saying, wait a second, we know there's more out there. There are these amazing phenomenon. There are people who have had near death experiences and we start to study those. And there are people who have had miraculous healing where science and doctors can't explain how cancer disappears. And so now all of a sudden we're starting to move back towards something that we have lost.
Lorna Byrne
Yeah, you have just put it all together. We are, what would you say, moving back and bringing it forward. And I know we became very industrialized, so we lost a lot then as well because greed and anger came in, you know, and keeping what I would say, the peasant, you know, under those in power, under their feet. But religion as well played a huge part in closing it down altogether, you know, but I do love they weren't able to close it down, you know, we were still listening. And in a sense, even religion helped to open us up, to keep us aware and just seeing. Like today in the world, most people are educated, most people are looking for knowledge. And again, that has to do with technology as well. It has expanded our knowledge and we're searching, everyone is searching to know that there's more to life or what's the meaning of life, or in a sense, you know, do I really have a soul? Am I really light? Do I live after my human body dies? So everybody is searching for it. Even those that are very young are searching for it, not just those that are educated. And it's lovely to see science, they're battling on it, but yet they're searching. And I know we have AI And I know that's brilliant in so many different ways, and I know we have forwarded. What were they saying? We won't die, but we can store all your memory and all that, that kind of thing. And once you have the money, when the money runs out, it's turned off. But I love. You know, because you have a soul, it cannot be turned off. You know, when your human body dies, you are able to help those that are still living on this planet. You can still give them guidance. You can still help them. Like, you would hear many stories of someone saying, you know, they could feel their grandfather or their child or whatever in that. In that way. And I love just the way you put it all together. It's such a combination. But yet, you know, it is an awakening, more so than ever before in the past. And again, that's because of technology. Everyone should be able to see what I see, hear what I see. You should be able to hear the voice clearly. You know, when you're being given guidance like I do, tell people, you know, I'm still learning. And if all of a sudden a thought comes into your mind, you know, to pick the pen up, go and pick it up, don't ask why, don't say, well, what meaning has that? Don't be lazy. They're only teaching you to respond. You know, sometimes somebody might turn around and say they had a quick download, you know, and they suddenly realize something for the first time. And I would just say to you, or an epiphany that is only just the beginning. Where do you think mathematics came from? You know, where do you think everything has come from? It has been a download from the soul. That spark of light, of God, that spirit, you know, within you, but out there as well, you're connected. That's why science is so good. That's why creators are so good. You know, it can be, you know, the uneducated person down the road that discovers something and starts to tell people about it, you know, and again, that's knowledge for us, for everyone. And it's to share the knowledge. Like in the past, they shared the knowledge. You know, we could. We were more telepathic. We were more. What would you say? You. You would know if Granny was in trouble and she lived 200 miles away, and you would say, right, I'm heading to visit Granny in that way. And again, with signs, where do you get. Where do you think they get all the information? It just pours in, you know, and sometimes we might call it the imagination. But where do you think that comes from. I know science at the moment is looking for the consciousness. They ain't going to find it. It's not in your brain, forget it. But they would love to find it to prove something.
Mayim Bialik
Well, I guess that's a great, a great transition to. This is all very helpful, you know, as sort of the. The big picture. Right. But I'm very interested in some of the practical aspects of this, so I want you to sort of walk us through. When you say that you see angels, are you visually experiencing something that is not, let's say, a visual hallucination, but you are picking up on some sort of energy which we've had theoretical physicists like Thomas Campbell talk about being able to see energy between objects. Can you describe what. What are you looking at? Is this. Does it have a form? What does it look like?
Lorna Byrne
I see angels physically and even sometimes the souls of loved ones that come fleeting by in that, in that way it's a light. And within that light it gives a human appearance. And I was told to call them angels, so I call them angels. And sometimes on very rare occasions, they would show wings, other times they don't at all. And angels, it's like our guides are neither male nor female, but they will give a male appearance if that's what you need or if that's what you feel, or a female.
Jonathan Cohen
Do all angels have wings and they only show visually to you sometimes, or do not all angels have wings?
Lorna Byrne
I love that I myself believe they all have wings. It's just they don't show them all of the time.
Jonathan Cohen
But I assume they don't need to fly because they can move.
Mayim Bialik
This is what you're double clicking on, Jonathan. Do they have wings? The woman sees angels and you're concerned about the wings.
Lorna Byrne
No, they, I, I love what Jonathan has, has said, you know, they don't fly. I've never seen an angel fly.
Jonathan Cohen
Exactly. So you're like, why do they need wings if they don't fly? Just to look angelic, I think.
Lorna Byrne
I love the way God is using his angels because that's getting people's attention because we look on them as angelic, gentle, soft. They're not going to harm us or hurt us in that way. I see them as physically as I would see a human being standing in front of me. Now. I can't see your angels on screen.
Jonathan Cohen
To see an angel. They don't appear digitally like they don't appear through digital communication. So when you say you can't see our angels, it's because there's something about how angels appear to you that. That they don't like. It just doesn't translate through screens.
Lorna Byrne
It's on very rare occasions that that has happened, you know, So I can't say. I can't say yes in that way. I have to be very truthful.
Jonathan Cohen
One more question on this because I think it's important.
Mayim Bialik
Is this about wings? I'm not letting you ask more about wings.
Jonathan Cohen
Well, I wonder if the evolution of both humans, angels probably have to evolve too. I wonder if they just haven't gotten the upgrade to be able to be compatible with, like, Zoom and FaceTime yet.
Lorna Byrne
Well, I love the way you have put that. It's very interesting, but I'm just smiling and they're just telling me, no, he has it all wrong.
Jonathan Cohen
That's mime's favorite answer.
Mayim Bialik
That's my favorite answer about everything. Jonathan just has it all wrong.
Jonathan Cohen
They don't need. Because they don't need to appear on FaceTime. That's just not how they're gonna operate. They're not gonna integrate with this tech. Got it? Okay.
Mayim Bialik
So we have these angels that you have been told to call them angels. You also said they're sort of guardians. How does that look different from, I mean, your book. I mean, you've written many books, but Angels in My Hair, you know, which is your. This beautiful autobiography. You. You describe very specific interactions where you are shown other people's angels. Sometimes you're shown other people's souls. You are witnessing an interface between the soul world and the human world. Essentially, like Lorna is the person experiencing this. Can you describe some of the kind of practical differences between what you identify as angels versus someone else's soul that you're seeing?
Lorna Byrne
I know it's a soul, you know, and it's a different kind of light than the angels. It's. What would I say? Maybe I don't have the words, but maybe we would say more vibrant in that way. And the light is a different light. And I don't think there's a human word in the way I can describe it. I smile even when I think of someone I knew that had passed over. On occasions when I have seen him, you know, when he's come to visit, that light and that human appearance within it, again, is, again, full of light. It's so maybe we could use the word crystal clear. And even the color of maybe the clothing as well is so vibrant. And again, I suppose we could say it's an energy, but yet I think it's beyond energy. You know, it's beyond one word I was taught from the time I was a child. And that is, it's beyond our comprehension. And for every question, there's like a million answers to it and then another million answers to each of those questions. You know, each of those answers. And I suppose I find it fascinating. And you have asked that question. The difference of the light between the angel and the soul. The angel is nowhere near the light of the soul. That's the only way I can can explain it. I do wish that God would, in a sense, allow the whole world even to see one angel or the whole world to see the soul of a loved one. And yet, many people do say they saw their loved one, you know, and angels are perfect, but so is your soul. You have a soul so you don't die. It's only the human body and it's very hard to explain. I'll probably be all my life searching for words to try and give more understanding of the soul. Because sometimes if someone is in front of me, if I'm doing a workshop or giving a talk, sometimes, which is so incredible, their soul, on occasions somebody's soul would come forward. It's like it slightly steps forward within the body, you know, and that light is so radiant. If you want to call it an energy, you can call it an energy, but it's so, so powerful. It's power. It's. I can't find words, mind.

A lot of times when people are presented with this kind of capacity or learn about someone with the kind of capacity to see this sort of like ultimate goodness. Ultimate beauty, really perfection, you know, of the human soul as designed by something that we can't even comprehend. I wonder if you can talk a little bit and I know it. It comes throughout the book and I'm sure it's come throughout your life. Where does darkness fit into this meaning? So many of us encounter pain. We encounter suffering. In many cases we interact with people who we feel have a negative pull right over our energy. Can you talk a little bit about that darkness and in addition talk about your experience with encountering Satan?
Lorna Byrne
I know on that occasion God was showing me, you know, what I would say, the evil of the world in that sense. And yes, I was afraid, but yet I knew it couldn't harm me. And I know mankind, ourselves, humanly, we are. We're not all good, you know, and a lot of the evil comes from. From what we say, Satan in that sense, you know, so we kind of. We even blame God. We even use God as a weapon. And yet God is love. Everything comes back to love and compassion. You know, we all have the choice. But for myself, it's like I'm not afraid. And maybe that's because I know. And maybe, you know, one could say, you know, you know the old Irish saying. I think it's a worldwide saying. Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names would never hurt me. No matter what anybody tries to do to me, they only can destroy my human body. That is all. I live forever, for eternity, just like you, because of your soul. And yet I know it's very important to live this human life, to help mankind, each and every one of us, to help mankind to evolve. You know, we're not just flesh and blood. And again, it's like the intertwining. And we have that choice. We don't have to listen to the darkness, as you said. We don't have to allow that revenge. Like I often tell the story of meeting a man who said. Told me a story. And he said, lorna, how can you kill revenge? Because he came from a country where there was war and, you know, people went into his home, his family, and shot everyone dead. Killed them. And somehow he escaped. And somehow, which is a miracle, he ended up educated. He ended up having a great job. He ended up getting married and having two children. And it was his wife that had angels in my hair, and she asked him to read it. And that's why he came over and sat beside me in a hotel and tells me the story. And the horrific thing was he said, I went and done the same thing. I became evil. I became the darkness. I done the same thing because of what was done to my family. I was so angry and so mad, I picked up a gun and, you know, we have to have forgiveness. It wasn't his fault that he wanted revenge. Because imagine if you saw your loved ones being murdered in the same way over whatever it is. You might look for revenge, but I think the world today has to say no. We have to start to change. And I think mankind is. We are changing. We're doing our best. Even though we see horrific things happening in the world, you know, we have to, in a sense, not look for revenge. We have to forgive ourselves and we have to forgive others. And I suppose in the World today, we all have to forgive ourselves for what's happening in the world because we're all part of it. We can't deny that responsibility. And we can't even deny that responsibility spiritually either.
Mayim Bialik
I wonder if you can talk us through kind of some of your earliest understandings of your interactions with angels and souls. You know, one of the most astounding stories, you had a. I don't even. I wouldn't even say an imaginary playmate. You had an interaction with a little boy named Christopher when you were young. Can you talk about how he came to you and what as an adult, your mother told you?
Lorna Byrne
Christopher was my brother. He was born before I was born and he died at 10 weeks. My mom had told me that he had a half a heart and that, you know, she was worried about him. When she brought him home from hospital, she told the doctor she felt something was wrong. And again, I would say her being told, she was being told spiritually, something is wrong with your baby, your baby's human body. And he died at 10 weeks. And when I was little, and still does today, you know, he would come and play with me. And it was always that amazing day, playing in front of the fire in old Kamena, you know, in that tiny little room that you only had the light from the fire as such. And our hands touched and it was like my hand went into his or his went into mine, and sparks flew. All this light flew all around and. And it was then that the angels had told me that he was my brother and that he had died and he was the soul I understood more. And I suppose that's what we have to remember is our loved ones don't die, you know, and he has come into my life many times since. But I love the way he's not a young boy. He died at 10 weeks. And yet he knew everything. Your soul already knows everything. It has all the knowledge and wisdom. And sometimes, you know, somebody would say, say to me, but why was. Why was I born? You know, referring to themselves. And again, that question is hard to answer. But I do know one thing. Whenever. Whenever creation, whenever God the power to be whatever we want to call God in all different religions and in none created all of this and beyond. For some reason, God fell in love with us. Maybe we were only a tiny dot. Maybe God had already planned that we would be an intelligent human being. I've asked these questions, but I don't get an answer, you know, but our human bodies aren't perfect. And again, it was because my little Brother's human body wasn't perfect. His heart wasn't why his human body died, but he didn't die at all. He had, how would I say, all the wisdom and all the knowledge he knew how to pick up the blocks, how to put them on top of each other as we were building. You know, when he would talk to.
Mayim Bialik
Me.
Lorna Byrne
He would talk to me, how would I say, like another child, as if he had lived to that age, five years of age, and yet he only lived to 10 weeks. So where did he get all his knowledge from? The soul already has it. You have it all. And to me, that's incredible. We have to kind of start to how it. And I think even science has to start to think about it, you know, allow our imagination to run away with us, because that is the download. And putting it in those simple words helps other people to understand.
Mayim Bialik
Some of the information that you've been given has been very painful. And the love of your life and the father of your children, you knew essentially when you loved him, when you started to fall in love with him, that something was not going to end in this kind of fairytale manner. Can you talk a little bit about the messages you were given about Joe in particular?
Lorna Byrne
I deceive Joe still today, and I just see his soul, and he still plays a huge part. And one could say he's one of my guides now, even though he is more than any angel ever could be. Yeah, I was very young, and it did sadden me. It. How would I say? Tore me apart. And even now, talking to you, my heart hurts. My heart hurts because I miss the physical body. And I wish he was here physically, you know, in that human body. But when angel Elijah, you know, that incredible angel, walked across the river and allowed me to see. I think I was only about 10 years of age to see the young man I was going to marry, you know, and talk about love. Like, I giggled and I laughed, you know, I didn't know what he was on about. But I gave out when he told me that, you know, he wouldn't grow old, we wouldn't grow old together, you know, that we'd have ups and downs and that he wouldn't be well, he'd be sick. And there's lots of that story I never even put into the book because it just tore me apart. Like, how would I say? Told me about my children, you know, gave me so much information. And he just. How would I say? That beautiful angel just put it to the back of my head, you know, he put his Hand here. And it's like as if it all went to the back of my mind in that way, and I was able to cope. But over the years, you know, when I met Jo first in my father's garage, where my dad worked and where I worked, how would I say? I'd done everything to reject him, because I knew it tore me apart, because I knew, but yet I knew that we had to get married because my children had to be born. And just watching him over the years deteriorating as a young man and then looking so strong, you know, it was seldom he gave the appearance of someone that was terminal in that way, you know. But near the end of his years, we'd go for a walk, but we'd usually wait in the evening, and he'd be holding on to me and hoping nobody would notice because you would think he was drunk, you know, and he wasn't, or. My children could tell you many stories of different things that happened with their dad because he was a severe diabetic. So what would I say? Ireland was a time when maybe at that time they didn't know as much about it. And, you know, if he went high or low, we be. What would I say in rescue mode? It was all the time in rescue mode. And then even being told, it's time now. And I always remember, how would I say, the time in the kitchen, and I begging God not to take them, to send them back, just even for another few years. And God did that, and I'm grateful for that, because my children would have been too young. You know, they got older. You know, they were teenagers. And yet my youngest was only a baby as such. And again, my youngest, I loved the way Joe would tell the story. He'd say, every time I open my eyes, I see this little girl running into the room, and she's got curly hair, you know, it's wavy. And she says, hello, Daddy. And I don't think I put that into the book. And I wasn't pregnant at that time, you know, and then I became pregnant. And when she was born and when she got that little bit older, he just smiled and said, that's her, you know. So again, the soul, her little soul. God was sending before time to Jo for him to see, because he wouldn't see her grow up. And to me, again, that is. We don't realize how kind God is. God loves us. We're all his children. And he does so many things to help us through our human life. Our human life is just full of ups and downs. And yet our Human life could be so perfect, could be so beautiful and so incredible. But I suppose we do, humanly, we have changed so much that over time, we did everything to stop the love coming forward. We kind of. Even today, we're still. What would I say, starving people. We're still having wars. We're still trafficking. You know, we're still. Young people are. And older people are taking drugs because they want to escape from life, because they don't see a future. I meet so many young people who say, so what's the point? We're destroying our planet. We're killing everything and killing each other. But I know we can do it because I believe in you. We can make this planet, this world, like a little glimpse of heaven.
Mayim Bialik
I wonder if you can talk about your encounters specifically with what has been identified to you as God. Does God take different forms for different people who are experiencing this kind of presence? Because obviously, a lot of your descriptions. And, you know, I. I come from the Jewish tradition. So in the Old Testament, we have very specific distinctions for what is an angel versus what is a seraph, what is a cherub. Right. These are all the English translations of the different winged protectors of God that we have. But if someone comes from a different tradition, if they are interfacing with God the way that you are, what would they be seeing?
Lorna Byrne
I believe everyone sees from the tradition that they come from. Because why. Why would God or the angels or the guide or even the soul of a loved one, you know, frighten you or show you in a different tradition in that. In that way? And that's one thing I love. Like, again, I was in, you know, where the holy wall is, where the rabbis pray. I was there and, you know, I actually wanted to run and see, would they let me in there, you know, But I knew they wouldn't. The angels were holding me back and saying, no, Lorna. But what was so beautiful was God had already arranged it. The head rabbi actually met us. And I was being told beforehand, Lorna, by the people I was with. You never hug a rabbi. But I couldn't help it. I gave him a big hug and he actually hugged me back, you know, and he brought us somewhere. And I can't tell you where, you know, which was incredible. You know, I know I'm going to write a little bit about it, but, yeah, just seeing all the rabbis and all the visitors that were the far side, you know, praying and just seeing that light of that prayer and those angels. And then on the other side was the big green dome, the Muslim. And the same thing was happening over there. So one thing God has shown me, and that is that one day all religions and none will all become one. And we'll all pray and sing and dance and what would you say? United with each other. And I believe that that will happen because I have been shown it. Anything I have been shown has happened.
Mayim Bialik
Obviously, it's unique to you, but if this is something you believe is not unique to the capacity of our human experience, what does that look like for you to sort of help us learn how to be in touch with this realm?
Lorna Byrne
I love your question, and I don't believe it's unique to me. So I am even here at the sanctuary in Ireland, and when I give talks, I give a bit of a lesson to help people to open up more. I can't understand why you can see what I can, but if you practice, you can start to see. And I always say you have to do your homework. Like, I've had a number of people saying, lorna, we're practicing, we're doing our homework. And yes, they're turning around and saying, I'm starting to see energy, you know, even the energy around another human being. You don't have to stare. You don't have to strain your eyes. We have only been taught to look. Stop looking. You can look around a room, See. Instead, see has been taken away. Just turn it back on again. Allow yourself to see. One thing the angels taught me an awful lot of was to see detail. And how would I. And then things started to become translucent, like I've been learning all my life, since I was an infant. I didn't know they were angels or spiritual beings. I just played with them. And if they could teach me, you can learn too. And I believe mankind will. And I believe you have already started. And I would say, if your child, if you're a small, young child that has just come from heaven, turns around and says something to you, don't question it, don't say to the child, that's your imagination. You know, if your child is saying, oh, look at the flowers, and the child gives you a different colour than the flower is, that means your child is seeing. But we tell our children that's nonsense, only if it's solid. And red is red, blue is blue, you know, we go on like that, but the world is not like that. So allow yourself to see.
Mayim Bialik
How much do you have access to future information?
Lorna Byrne
Oh, yeah, I was afraid you would ask that question. I have an awful lot, but I'm not allowed to overstep mankind's free will. And one thing I would say, no matter what's happening in the world, we will turn this world into a little glimpse of heaven. We will change. And one thing I always say is for mankind to remember. And I've been saying it since angels in my hair came out, but no one noticed. And that is, stand up, be counted, and play your part. And that is, you know, allow yourself to see, allow things to change. Be loving, be kind. Lots of people are saying they want to grow spiritually. Then you have to have love in your heart, and you have to show it. You can't be selfish or mean. You can't be looking for revenge. You can't be looking for power and control. And you have to love regardless of how much you have been hurt. You've got to love that other person and you've got to forgive if you want to be spiritual. Love is. Love is. What would I say? Love is all those gifts. Many people would say to me, they want peace. And they'd say, peace within themselves. That's a gift. You have it. So don't be angry. Forgive yourself and forgive others and allow yourself to see the light. Allow yourself to be aware of your soul and allow it to step forward a little bit. Allow that intertwining. Allow yourself to feel that love.
Jonathan Cohen
There's a struggle between spirituality as a concept and feeling love and compassion, and then the practicality of running a country, navigating politics and international politics and border crises and immigration rights and economic struggles and balancing the budget. So it's like one thing to say you should be loved, but the other thing that can often seem passive without an active presence. Now, you can absolutely avoid retaliation, not act in malice, but there's a difference between knowing that you need to take concrete action to make change. How do you reconcile those two?
Lorna Byrne
I know it's hard when we look out on the world like that, you know, in that. In that way, it is very hard. And that's where we need our leaders, you know, all those in governments, to have more compassion and understanding and not just to be thinking of themselves and their power, but and their control. And I know governments and leaders of the world, you know, feel that they have the power, but it's actually the people of the world. It's the people of the world, in the end, that change things for the good. And lots of good has happened in the world over time. And if you look back, it was always the people of the world, you know, and yes, politics is, you know, how many jobs can you give someone? And again, it comes back to being fair and honest and thinking of the people giving a fair wage for the work they do. You know, it's even in the medical area. You know, no one, no parent should have a child that's sick and not be able to have that child looked after. We have to change in that way. And that's where love comes in and compassion. Our leaders have to change and I believe a lot of them will. But at the moment they are fighting again. It's all about money and material things. But in the end, money and material things mean nothing. When your human body dies, when you have a father or a mother or a child that is not going to live, the material things don't matter. You have. Parents will say they'd give everything away if their child could live. And again, that's a spiritual thing. We have to understand and that's hard for us. It's a hard question to answer. It's, you know, it's all about power and glory at the moment out there in the world. And look at what we're doing.
Jonathan Cohen
Where do you see the arc of a transition towards something more peaceful? You know, we've heard people talk about sort of a battle of planetary control where there are these last ditch efforts to continue the fighting because people profit off of the fighting or to negotiate territory or shore up resources, whether that's rare earth minerals or, or oil and gas. And then it's also expected that there's a huge turmoil coming with the advent of AI which in the long run could bring on and shepherd an era of a lot of peace and ease and breakthroughs, but a lot of displacement, especially as things change and people get displaced. And there's a huge learning curve and people don't handle that level of change so much. So how do you see, you know, the next 10, 15 years of this transition?
Lorna Byrne
Well, I think AI will continue to grow. I see it continue to grow. It will do lots of positive things, but then some things won't be so good. But one thing you have to remember about AI, it's only all the knowledge that has been put into it. You have to remember the new knowledge will come from the human being itself. So AI won't be able to take over that in any way. So it's good and not so good, but it won't rule the world in the end. It won't rule the world. And I know people are very afraid of that because everybody is on their phones, they're looking up in that way. And humanly we have to remember that, as I say, it could be someone living on a mountain and they can have all the technology around them and all the knowledge and then that they're receiving from technology. And then they're sitting there and they're given a download about a question that they have been asking themselves about something they see on the computer. The computer will not have that knowledge. It's that person that will have it.
Jonathan Cohen
Talk about downloads for a minute because this is like a term, especially in the coasts of San Francisco. You hear every person being like, oh, I just had the biggest download. I was on a walk and everything became clear to me. How, first of all, explain to us what it is and how to increase access to more information. If, if you want that, how would.
Lorna Byrne
I say, just become open. Just start to realize that you're, you're not just flesh and blood. You are a spiritual being as well. You have that soul, that light, that energy that goes up and out into the universe. You're, you're not just flesh and blood. Nothing on this planet is. You know, we're all connected. Like, even when I'm looking out this window, there's so much going on. I know we're using the word download. You know, we could use other words that would actually mean the same thing. It's knowledge coming in, and it's coming in from outside. Like how. How do you think we built rockets? And how do you think, you know, we have machines? You know, like how. How do you kind of think about how even medicine has come about? And again, that was someone, you know, questioning and asking. And you can say it's the imagination. You can say it's that download whatever word you want to give, and we're being. Giving it all the time. Technology does not get a download. It only gets what we give it, the knowledge we have given. We are more than any technology can ever be at all. You know, we're. How would I say? Your, your technology may be able to communicate to a satellite, but only the knowledge that we have fed into cannot give any new knowledge. But you, yourself as a human being and a spiritual being gets new knowledge every single day. We just ignore it. It's like when you're, let's just say a simple thing like out walking and you're being told to go right, but instead you go left, you should have gone right. And most of us turn around and say, well, nothing happened. But that's the point. Nothing happened. You know, you were being protected. And we ask all the time, what do things mean you know, what was the meaning in me picking up the pen? Because the thought came into my mind. The meaning is to learn to respond. But don't be asking the meaning. I never knew the words. What are they now? Destiny or what's the other one? Something like dreams. I just go down the stepping stones. If I'm told to go left, I go left. I have been shown so many things that would happen in my life and happen in the world. And I always anything about the world. I always pray that somehow somebody in power out there will listen and say no to something or that they will make the right decision to help the world. And that's one thing that we all have to do. We all have a part to play.
Mayim Bialik
Do you feel blessed or do you feel burdened?
Lorna Byrne
I've been asked that question before. Do I feel blessed or burdened? I'm only me. I don't feel burdened because, you know, I used to be scared because being considered retarded, you know, being ridiculed and laughed at. But then when I discovered I saved one life at the very beginning, that's all that matters. It doesn't matter being laughed at or ridiculed or that word you've used, burdened, that doesn't come into my life. That's not part of me. I. What would you say? All I can do is even love the person that you might say is the worst person in the world or the most horrible person in the world. I can't hate them because if they were in front of me, more than likely I would see their soul and their soul is pure. You cannot put a sin on a soul. The sin is only on the human body. The wrong. Whatever tradition you come from, you cannot mark the soul at all. How can you put a mark on God? How can you put something evil on whatever name you want to call God? Because it's the one on the Creator. And creation is still happening. It hasn't stopped.
Mayim Bialik
You have angels that you feel are guiding you, and everyone presumably has angels that are guiding them, correct?
Lorna Byrne
Yes. Everyone. Yes.
Mayim Bialik
And in your experience, these angels, do they interface with each other? Like, are they conscious on their own plane of each other?
Lorna Byrne
Yes, they are aware of each other. They are connected. But it's like as well. I don't often see angels or guides, you know, talking to each other. We're looking on. You're asking that question on a human side, on what you understand as a human being. It's completely different. You know, I would often explain, you could have Archangel Michael in the middle of thousands of angels, and you would know it was where he was. It would be like you could have a million soldiers and you'd have the general in the middle somewhere, and we'd all recognize the general. You know, I've never seen an angel give out to another angel. I've never seen an angel bossing another angel, if you know what I mean. Going into human terms, I have never seen angels do anything that we humans do.
Jonathan Cohen
What's their role then? They're here to help humans. I've heard it described like that. There's an experiment being run and we're trying to figure out if we can get over this loop to this next wave of consciousness to have there be a little slice of heaven here on earth. Are the angels here to help us get there? Is there a game to be played? Is there a destination?
Lorna Byrne
I love the way you're putting it, but I would say no, there's no game being played in that way. But yes, it's like for that intertwining. For what reason, I actually don't know as yet, for why God would want that intertwining of the human body and the soul. Why does that creator who created us in the beginning, love is so much that wants even the human part of you to live for eternity. To me, that is incredible. And yet that human part of you, the body, you know never to get sick. Because I've been shown that we will get there. We will never get sick, and you never grow old.
Mayim Bialik
And your angel stays with you even when you die. Because you've witnessed people die and what you see is that their angel is with them.
Lorna Byrne
Yeah. Your guardian angel is the gatekeeper of your soul. It's the one angel that can never leave you. So it's the one angel that when your human body dies, it takes you back home. And we all use the word heaven. It's only a word. Just like, I think Johnson asked something about spirituality and religion and governments and all. But spirituality is just a word. It's just a word that we have put there humanly to help us to understand more about the soul, more about whatever other name you want to put on it. About that power, that energy, that love that we often feel inside of us. Sometimes when we. We cry and we don't know why we're crying. And that's love and overwhelming.
Jonathan Cohen
I'm just clarifying. You've seen a world where people physically are living 90, 100, 200 years.
Lorna Byrne
God has asked us humans with the intertwining twining. You know, do we want to go to that place beyond heaven? Do you know what we say? You say, no, we'll stay here another while because our planet is. It's so, so perfect. It's so, so beautiful. And I use the word perfect and that's really the wrong word. It's crystal. There's. I can't explain it, the light of our world, of this planet, and the light of what we see within the universe when we look up and we see. I can't actually put it all into words. I struggle with that. And I think I struggle with that because of my human part of me.
Jonathan Cohen
So there's something about the physical world that, as amazing as angels are, is wondrous to the point where people can have the opportunity to go back to, to the spiritual world, the energy world, and yet they want to stay here. It's not because they just have a best friend or lover or loved ones or children, but there's just something so fabulous that. I mean, I've heard people describe that there's a line of souls trying to get into physicality that there's, you know, imagine it's like a roped off club of the universe and just stretching out into the galaxy or entities wanting to come to earth.
Lorna Byrne
I think though, that's incredible when we human beings, because we have intertwined, turn around and say to the most powerful and loving and caring, whatever human words we want to put on it. And we say, no, we're going to stay here another while. We're not in any hurry to leave. Just think of that. Just think of how incredibly we must feel. It must be beyond words, beyond our comprehension in that way. I wish that would happen in the next few years. I would love that. You know, where there's no pain, no disease, where our planet is just so incredible. There's no disease on trees, there's no disease in, in the rivers, that the rivers are crystal clear. That we're connected so much to nature, but we're connected as well to the universe out there, to the stars. To me that's even beyond words. It's beyond our understanding at the moment, even mine. But yet I have been shown it and you know, I often say to God, to that one that how would we say is most powerful but not in the power that we understand. Because we think that this power should end, wars should end, you know, all pollution for us should straightaway make everything crystal clean for us. I think the most incredible thing is that we have free will. We have the choice. I think that is something incredible. Too.
Jonathan Cohen
I mean, I like to think about free will. But I'm drawn back to something you said at the beginning of the podcast where you said you could see energy coming from outside of Earth into our atmosphere. What type of energy are you seeing? Is it that the angels are coming from beyond Earth's atmosphere into our realm? Is it intergalactic energy? What is it?
Lorna Byrne
It's like as if it's falling through our atmosphere. And even though we, as we as people claim, a lot gets burnt up as it comes through the atmosphere, like a cloud, but it's translucent. It's just pouring in. Or you could say it's like water or mist, and it's just coming down into our planet and we're breathing it in. And it's coming from the stars, from the universe.
Jonathan Cohen
And is it a positive energy that is meant to, you know, like, help keep us vitalized?
Lorna Byrne
Most of it is. Some of it isn't.
Jonathan Cohen
And how does one filter out what isn't?
Lorna Byrne
Because I've been asked this question. What. What do I see? And I've described some. Some things, but some of those particles of what's coming in is stardust. It's from other. Other planets. But again, it is as well, huge amount of light. But again, it's like on that light, there's. How would I call it, like, living cells? Like, that's. I'm just trying to give a human. A human idea, like living cells coming in as well. And I don't know how to explain, explain that. I sometimes call them particles. There's so, so many of them. And some of them I have seen. There's one particular one that science does record. Well, seemingly they've started now because, I don't know, many years back, a few years back, some pilots reported these tiny little lights. And they describe them, and I had already been talking about them. They pass through everything. They actually pass right through the Earth. So they pass through the planes, no matter what your plane is built of. And one thing, they're very rare to see. But they must be intelligent, because I have to smile on the odd occasion. I see them, I get out of their way because they seem to move. They're not moving fast, you know, they're moving slowly, but they can go in different directions. But they're a small little light.
Jonathan Cohen
And what do you think they're doing?
Lorna Byrne
What has always fascinated me, from the time I was a child, is that they pass through everything, literally everything. They pass through a stone, come out the other side, they'll pass through your house, come out the other side, they. I know they go right through the Earth. I've seen them go through metal like. And I know on the last report of pilots, science has decided to take note. But before, seemingly, when pilots did report them, I think they were told that's all in your imagination.
Jonathan Cohen
Would they be described as UAPs? Would they be described as alien technology?
Lorna Byrne
No, no, this is. No, no, no, not. No, not at all.
Jonathan Cohen
But it is something otherworldly.
Lorna Byrne
It is. It is something that's coming, that travels through the universe, but does seem to be intelligent because it can move in different directions. But the thing is, it passes through everything. And I always. The last time I saw it, how would I say. I won't say where I was while I was sitting in a chair, lying back, nice and comfy, and just how would I say, I saw five of them and I jumped out of the way because they were coming in my direction. But I watched them for a while as they changed direction as well, and I got out of the way and then they passed right through the Earth. I know they went right through.
Jonathan Cohen
Do you think that if they had entered your physical body, it would have caused damage?
Lorna Byrne
I never asked that question, so I can't answer it. I wouldn't have the faintest idea. And I have never asked God or the angels that question.
Jonathan Cohen
What do you ask them most?
Lorna Byrne
I seldom ask anything, to be honest. You know, it is what they tell me, and I seldom would I question anything. How would you say? Because I know they know more than I do.
Jonathan Cohen
We had an astrobiologist on recently who described something that Mayim will be better at summarizing than I will.
Mayim Bialik
There's an actual event. It's going to be coming right around Halloween, which is funny that All Hallows Eve is when this comet is going to be closest. And what. What Avi Loeb talked about was that this comet potentially is a great candidate for. If we're going to find out that some comet is carrying information from, let's say, another timeline that existed before our experience on this planet, this would be a great candidate.
Jonathan Cohen
I mean, Avi Loeb talks about how it doesn't have a tail like a comet would, and it has lights on the front. And so he posits it could be that it is an intelligent craft of some kind. No evidence of that yet, but it's curious that it doesn't have the criteria of being a comet.
Mayim Bialik
Well, and I think also maybe the larger question is, you know, you can perceive things that the vast majority of us cannot. And so it follows that we're very interested in, is there other information, right, that you have access to that if you can perceive, you know, other kinds of beings? And you also. The way you describe them is so specific. It's the way people often describe transcendental experiences. They're beyond human description. It's more about the feeling and the sensation rather than the words and the nomenclature for it. So I think that's sort of the general question is when we hear things about, gosh, are we not the only intelligent life in the universe? Have other species existed before us? Or is there something unique about us? Of course we're curious. Do you have information about that?
Lorna Byrne
Why would you think that? You know, that there's not life out there on other planets beyond even our universe and even within the black hole itself, you know, the ones that we know of. And you know, that comet that they're saying is getting closer and they're curious about it because of its shape and everything like that. And I think Jonathan said timeline, in that sense, time does not exist. We humans have only made time. There's. What would I say? So it's on its way here, and we have planned that it should get here again, a certain time of our time in that sense, you know. And how would mankind react as it passes by, when we discover more of it, or how much we will be allowed to discover of it? And that will lead us to many, many, many questions. Of course, we're not alone. I would love to say something else on your show, but I won't.
Mayim Bialik
Please do.
Lorna Byrne
Well, how would I say, how will I put this?
Mayim Bialik
I'm an alien.
Lorna Byrne
What do you think your soul is? We're not alone even on this planet, but we're not alone out there either. And there's many universes and there's so many of them, how would I say, so incredible. But human beings make one mistake all the time, and that is, how would I say? We've done it for so long, conquering and saying, something belongs to us. Not even this planet belongs to us humans, you know. So I would love mankind to wake up a little bit, allow yourself to see and see what you have always been told is impossible. Allow yourself to see that wonder and to hear. And let's help science as well to discover more. I wouldn't worry too much about that coming our way. It's going to pass and we will be fascinated and mankind will question. And some will say, yes, it was, and some will say, no, it wasn't. But we, yes, we are being watched we are being watched. God is real. Your soul is real. And that's the part of you that lives, and that's the part of you that can be billions of miles away from here, yet back here at the same time. And that's just putting it in human words. And I remember being asked, you know, does the air touch? Does the wind touch? You know, we know. So mankind knows so little about even our atmosphere, what's actually happening around us, and we know so little about each other as well, and so little about nature. And yet mankind, the human being, thinks it's highly intelligent. I have no education, so where is my intelligence coming from? You know, where's my knowledge and my wisdom? I can't pick up a book like you and read it. I can't even go onto the Internet and lock up something because I don't know how to do that. And then it would be too complicated for me to do it. And I have to smile at that because me not being able to figure it out because of the severe dyslexic stops me from being contaminated by the world itself.
Jonathan Cohen
Is it a harmonious relationship out there amongst all of these places?
Lorna Byrne
Again, that's what we're being taught as human beings, that we have to conquer and fight and kill and destroy. So it's even put into all of our movies, all our science fiction. In that way, the universe is a friendly place.
Jonathan Cohen
The presence of Jesus coming to Earth, the role that he played, why he died, and sort of the relationship he's had with humanity. Can you talk a little bit about that from your perspective?
Lorna Byrne
I would have to say that Jesus succeeded the last time Jesus was here before, and each time we destroyed him because he spoke of love, kindness, forgiveness, all of the things that that message is going around the world all the time, in every way. Imagine if Jesus came back now and he stood somewhere and spoke about, you know, loving your brother. End war, be kind. I have been shown that the leaders of the world would be terrified of him. They would straightaway say, that's a terrorist. Watch him for the simple reason that the ordinary person, and I would say, the peasant, that's you and me, would stop to listen. And to me, that is, you know, I would love him to come back now, but would we go and kill him again? Go and read the Resurrection and see what you're being told. The crucifixion and the Resurrection. See, can you read in between the lines of what wasn't put there in translation? The ordinary person in the world will discover that I just Wish you would wake up and discover it now. So again, it's another step of evolution. Again, it's mankind opening up spiritually, letting the light in, letting the light out, allowing themselves to see, and realizing that everything goes back to love, to care, to compassion, to understanding. All of those things, those gifts you cannot buy, and you're all looking for them. Every human being is. Even you, Jonathan.
Jonathan Cohen
He was here multiple times and was killed multiple times. Not just the one that was written about most recently. So it's a pattern that's played out over the course of human history.
Mayim Bialik
By written about most recently, you mean the foundation of Christianity?
Jonathan Cohen
Yeah, the foundation of Christianity was just the last time, but that was not the first time. And potentially there were many other times before that where that same messenger, maybe even named the same person, came back to share that message. And humanity was like, no, we don't want to hear that. It's too dangerous.
Lorna Byrne
But isn't it lovely that today so many human beings are sharing that message?
Jonathan Cohen
Okay, so I'm going to take that as a yes. Take that as a yes. I think it would be harder to take someone if they came back out now than it would have been then. I think isolating that person and. And I think there are more people sharing that message. But, yeah, I definitely think I understand where. Where you're going with. With that. The reading between the lines of the resurrection mime. That's. Now you have some homework to do and come back and report.
Mayim Bialik
I will also watch Narnia again because that's my. My favorite.
Lorna Byrne
I love Narnia.
Mayim Bialik
I wonder if you can sort of give us some final words of encouragement or guidance. You know, as I read Angels in My Hair, I obviously couldn't help but think of, you know, the tradition of prophecy and the notion of those among us who in one way or another, are here to communicate something. And in many cases, those people are dismissed or they're called names or they are shunned or they are locked away. You know, and in the case of women, we're often called hysterical and we're hunted as witches when we say things that kind of challenge the status quo. But if you could leave us with a bit of sort of, you know, if we had to ask you, what are you here with this set of abilities to communicate to the rest of us? What would that be?
Lorna Byrne
The thing I would say is to give you the message, and it's even beyond your comprehension. And in a sense, to mankind, it's like, unreal. It's like. It's A fairy tale. But I love you. I love every human being. I love all life. And it's such a precious gift to be alive. And I don't care who you are or what you've done. I love you. And I will never, never give up on mankind, because you're worth it. I see something in you that you cannot see in yourself, and I don't know how to explain it. It is your soul, that spark of light of God, how pure and how good you are. And humans use the word potential. Everything is beyond your potential. And you have. You have all the gifts, each and every one of us. And I love you. You are just so incredible. And I believe in you. And I see you. I see you all, every moment of my human life and beyond. So love you all.
Mayim Bialik
Thank you. It's really incredible to get to talk to you and really fascinating to see, you know, how your brain works, how you operate, and also appreciate the humor that you have, because this is very heavy stuff, and your life has been full of a tremendous amount of challenge that you've really walked through with so much grace. So we really, really appreciate it.
Lorna Byrne
Well, I have to say thank you to both of you because you have asked questions people haven't asked before, you know, and, you know, I know sometimes, humanly, I find it hard to put it into words or to give you the understanding in the way that you need. But you're both incredible. So keep the good work up. You're part of it. Don't you realize that?
Mayim Bialik
Jonathan, this is an unusual episode for me. First of all, I'm super impressed. Fascinated with Lorna. And I have to say that watching, you know, someone articulate things that are so intuitively known to her is fascinating to me. Here's a strange comparison. When we had Teresa Caputo on the Long island medium, I had a definite feeling that, like, she was receiving information in real time that she was actively managing. And I think it's not a coincidence. Lee Harris, also a channeler that we had on a wildly fascinating episode, also had these elements. There's something that certain. And I really. It's very hard to take off my science hat. You know, I'm trying to understand, what is this? Now, the. The most grounded I can be is in two places, and both of them came from Thomas Campbell. The first was when Thomas Campbell all of a sudden started experiencing, literally, the energetic connections between things which he was able to detect visually. He was not having hallucinations. He was not having a psychotic break. He is not mentally ill. He just had an ability to perceive things that are outside of our realm of visual calculation. So that was one thing. And I'm thinking, well, if I can extrapolate that out, there are people who. Who are perceiving things like that at an even higher level, meaning more frequently, more intensely, and they are allowed to.
Give it whatever meaning they want.
I don't know if that's true, but it's them giving it meaning, and that is true. I guess, lowercase T, that's one thing. The second thing I'm pulling from is Thomas Campbell's accidental discovery of God, as I described it, is acknowledging that there is some larger consciousness, which, as a simulation, as a, you know, a mechanical equation, an algorithm, is tending towards lower entropy. It's tending towards less chaos. It wants it with a capital I. It wants love, peace, harmony, kissing, consensual sex and lollipops. You know, all the good things, things that we could say definitively. These are things that resonate, literally resonate around a vibration of love. That opening you feel, you know, the place when your heart finally cracks open. You know, when you give birth and you're like, oh, my God. You know, that feeling like love and connection that surpasses, you know, that kind of human description. And I'll throw in there any psychedelic experience you've had where you were like, why can't I understand this all the time? We're all love. It's okay.
Jonathan Cohen
Yes. And she's interacting with a set of experiences for herself. Her perception, that is very hard to translate. And so for me, who likes an explanation, and first, scientists who want to understand the mechanisms behind what she's sensing. It makes it really challenging when it's like, there's a. There's a filter, but the filter isn't really compatible with. With what is going on for her.
Mayim Bialik
No, it's like, Jonathan, describe the color of your T shirt.
Jonathan Cohen
You know, well, I can do that because it's black.
Mayim Bialik
But what's black? And that's just a word. Those are five letters exactly. Five B, L, A, Z, K. That's five letters in a language that your family learned very recently, I might add. You know, like, that's like not. It's not a thing. Like, pull out to the size of the universe. It's like, what's the word? Black wire. How are we even having this conversation? What's that word?
Jonathan Cohen
When everything gets deconstructed to that level, then you're like, what's left? Just the soul of your essence and your love.
Mayim Bialik
Why do you say that? Like you're rolling your eyes like that's like, oh, I guess all that's left is the goodness that is you.
Jonathan Cohen
Yes, that's true. But like, what are we going to have for lunch?
Mayim Bialik
Well, this is the other thing that blew my mind about Lorna Byrne. She has children, she has to like, function in the world. She had to like feed baby. One of her children was celiac as an infant. So she was dealing with like a medical world and her child, they were, they were, she was raising her children with no money to even like be able to buy him the, the, the.
Proper food that he, I mean she's.
Had a life full of a lot of stuff and she seems to have managed it well.
Jonathan Cohen
So this is where I'm, I'm going with, with what I'm, what I'm saying is like we still have to buy, you know, figure out what's for lunch, is that there's the spiritual experience and then there's the physical experience. And these two are in some ways intertwined and connected. And yet I'm also thinking about like, how do I navigate the physical reality and not just get lost in love? Because it does, like, yes, it can guide us. And, and also I feel like there's some sort of reasoning, questioning that we have to maintain as aware, rational beings that are integrating with our extra sensory ability. If it's only extra sensory ability. I do think that it's very hard to build cars if you're also fully aware of all the angels in the factory because like you're going to get distracted and not put the nuts and bolts on properly and then someone's going to have a car accident.
Mayim Bialik
She literally worked in a, in her dad's garage. Well, I think what's important to, you know, to keep in mind is that she, she does, you know, she does not, it sounds like go on the Internet. Like her interface with the world is very different. And you know, as we talked about in the intro and as she mentioned, they thought that she, you know, had developmental delay. They thought that there was something very, very wrong with her. And so the way that she functioned, you know, it got her through a very kind of challenging life. But she literally said this was her, her friends were the, the people that she spoke to, the angels that she spoke to is sort of who comforted her and made her feel, you know, not so isolated. But this is indeed, it's a very, very unusual, not only an unusual ability, but an unusual explanation, you know, that she operates in the world. And I'm so curious what it's like to be her child, right? What it's like to be raised by a mom who's having this kind of interfacing. And I mean, this is a really, this book. I mean, it takes you through so many specific stories of moments where she was saved by suggestions from angels about where to go and what to do, ways that she received information about her unborn children, about losses that she experienced, and even about her beloved Joe. She could see the places in his body that were, you know, starting to fail, like to go through the world with.
That's why I asked her, is it.
A blessing or a burden? And even that question is, it's outside of the realm of her understanding. Because those are human judgments, right?
Jonathan Cohen
We heard from Lee Harris that he used his channeling ability to, to get escape from a fire. There was a fire coming and everyone was going one way and he was like scared. And he asked, well, I just remembered I can channel. And then his guardian angels told to go a different direction and he was able to, to escape.
Mayim Bialik
And one of the questions I had was like, why her? Was also like a little bit self righteous. Like, why does she get to save herself? And maybe the answer, I'm gonna answer it for myself. Like, maybe the answer is she didn't choose that. She didn't ask. She didn't like, you know, win some sort of lottery so that she gets that protection. She believes that in some way we all have had access to, to this kind of guidance, in which case we could all be saved, right? Or we can learn to have that kind of access to see instead of looking, right? And one of the interesting things that does become kind of a religious place of not debate but discussion is that Christianity does have a huge component of salvation. It's very specific. It's built into the structure of, you know, this set of beliefs about salvation and how someone died in place of you dying, right, for your sins. It's interesting that that kind of phrasing is going to make sense to someone who's in that tradition.
Jonathan Cohen
The other thing that was a repeated pattern that we've heard is when we ask, how do people start to access more information, get downloads, connect with their guides? The first step is opening your mind to the possibility that it's. It can happen.
Mayim Bialik
Number one. So in the back of Angels in.
My Hair, 12 ways to connect with your guardian angel.
Number one, suspend your disbelief as you sit reading this. Acknowledge the fact that there is an angel by your side. If you find this hard to do, just suspend your cynicism a short time and imagine, have a little faith. Be open to the possibility that there is someone beside you who never leaves.
You even for one second.
Someone waiting and wanting to help you, even if you're afraid to do it. Acknowledge your guardian angel and welcome it.
Jonathan Cohen

This episode features a deep, expansive discussion with Lorna Byrne—globally-renowned author and spiritual teacher, whose life centers around her vivid, lifelong experiences with angels and the spirit world. Lorna discusses her unique abilities to see and interact with angels and souls, the spiritual evolution of humanity, surviving the skepticism and ridicule of others, and her practical vision for awakening the intuitive and loving power in all people. Mayim Bialik and Jonathan Cohen guide the conversation with open-minded curiosity, skepticism, and deep respect, repeatedly challenging and exploring Lorna’s worldview, the nature of consciousness, the role of suffering, and the hope that lies in spiritual connection.

For those wishing to explore further, Lorna Byrne’s books (especially “Angels in My Hair”) contain step-by-step practices for connecting with your guardian angel and awakening spiritual gifts.
