Austin Picard
Welcome to the Underclass Podcast with Austin Picard. I'm an independent researcher who can't stomach being lied to on a daily basis by the mainstream media. While we live in a fracturing society launched into parallel realities, falling perfectly onto the two sides of the political spectrum, I remain in the Underclass, a us Navy psychologist who claims that the Office of Naval Intelligence had taken convicted murderers from military prisons, used behavior modification techniques on them, and then relocated them in American embassies throughout the world. The navy psychologist was Lt. Thomas Nerut of the U.S. regional Medical center in Naples, Italy. The information was divulged at an Oslo NATO conference of 120 psychologists from the 11 nation alliance. The Navy provided all the funding necessary, according to Narut. Dr. Narut, in a question and answer session with reporters from many nations, revealed how the Navy was secretly programming large numbers of assassins. He said that the men he had worked with for the Navy were being prepared for commando type operations as well as covert operations in US Embassies worldwide. He described the men who went through his program as hitmen and assassins who would kill on command. Careful screening of the subjects was accomplished by Navy psychologists through the military records and many were convicted murderers serving military prison sentences. The Ionia State Mental Hospital in Michigan was later exposed as being one of many facilities complicit in the CIA's Human Behavioral Modification Research, otherwise known as MK Ultra Mind Control experiments. Convicted serial killer Henry Lee Lucas is largely considered to have been one of many criminally insane patients who were unknowingly forced into the CIA's brutal experimentation while admitted at Ionia before being paroled in 1970 and killing at least two women before his final arrest in 1983. While incarcerated for these crimes, he falsely confessed to approximately 600 additional murders to Texas Rangers and other law enforcement officials. Adam Walsh was a seven year old boy who was abducted from a Sears department store at the Hollywood mall in Hollywood, Florida on July 27, 1981. His severed head was found two weeks later in a drainage canal alongside Highway 60. Convicted serial killer Otis Toole would repeatedly confess to Adam's kidnapping and murder, but would then retract his story before confessing to the crime all over again. He was never convicted of the crime because evidence was reportedly lost and Poole ultimately recanted his confession until admitting to the crime one final time on his deathbed. Doodle Proof published an article in November 2013 making the compelling case that Otis Toole was the gay lover and partner in crime of another serial killer, Henry Lee Lucas. Lucas and Toole met at a Jacksonville soup kitchen and they soon developed a sexual relationship which led to a cross country crime spree. Together. Both were caught up with by law enforcement agents separately Toole in April 1983 for arson in Jacksonville and Lucas two months later for the killing of an 82 year old woman, but both told the story that they were members of a cannibalistic cult based in the Everglades called the Hand of Death. In Max Call's book, Hand of Death, Henry tells of his indoctrination into a nationwide satanic culture and says that he was trained by the cult in a mobile paramilitary camp in the Florida Everglades in the fine art of killing. Other training involved abduction and arson techniques. The first task he was given was the murder of one of the students, a young black homosexual who had betrayed his oath to the devil. He slit the man's throat, and later that same evening, a satanic ritual was performed in which the dead man's heart was cut out, his blood drained, and his body dismembered. All of the initiated members of the Hand drank the dead man's blood and ate pieces of his flesh. The remains of the body were then burned at an altar. There were several hundred students at the Hand of Death training camp, coming from six different countries. Over half of them were women. The camp provided unlimited access to all kinds of drug taking, which was encouraged recreational activity. They claimed to have met a man calling himself Don Materic, who invited them to come to Miami and do contract killings for the Hand of Death. Metarek and Toole eventually admitted to Lucas that Toole had already been working for Metarek for years. According to Court tv. Lucas later said that at the time he'd felt betrayed by Otis and manipulated by him into joining the cult. Be that as it may, Lucas happily stayed a member and committed many more murders at their behest. The group allegedly operated on remote swamplands deep in the Everglades, accessible only by airboat. Police helicopters surveyed the Everglades and reported no sign of the encampments. Lucas told interviewers that the Hand of Death has connections to elements within the US Government, so they were no doubt tipped off in advance in order to remain unseen. Reiterated in Dave McGowan's book program to Kill was the extraordinary fact that Lucas had claimed that he was trained by a nationwide satanic culture in a mobile paramilitary training camp in the Florida Everglades. Henry further claimed the leaders of the camp were so impressed with his handling of a knife that he was allowed to serve as an instructor following his training. Henry claimed that he served the cult in various ways, including as a contract killer and as an abductor of children whom he delivered to a ranch in Mexico near Juarez. Three days before Lucas was scheduled to be executed, then Governor George W. Bush, infamous for refusing to grant stays of execution to any death row inmate, did something he had never done before or since. He saved Henry Lee Lucas from the electric chair and commuted his sentence to life in prison. Instead of all the inmates he sent to death, many far more deserving of leniency than Lucas, he even sent to death a great grandmother who killed her abusive husband in self defense, Bush chose to spare the life of one of America's most notorious serial killers. Does that seem odd to you?

Out in the book that it could just be a coincidence that Toole, who was convicted in the state of Florida, shared with Henry the fate of having his death sentence commuted. Florida is of course, a state that is also overly zealous in its application of the death penalty. Not zealous enough to execute the likes of Otis Toole. However, in any event, it's interesting that both of these men had their death sentences set aside in states run by a member of the Bush family. According to investigative journalist Anna Griffey, by 1978, when they found themselves without a home, Otis told Henry he'd done more killing than he told him about. He'd been made a member of the satanic cult at the hand of death and wanted Henry to join, too. This wasn't the first time that Henry would have killed, raped, or even possibly cannibalized another human, but this was very detailed and had repercussions that would lead to your death without exception. Lukas later confessed that he wanted to join and told Otis he understood he would be killed if he did anything to betray the cult and that the only way out was death. Otis told Henry that the satanic rituals would keep them safe and from being taught there was a power there they would be protected by as long as they obeyed the cult. Henry and Otis went to Florida to have Henry see the training camp that was set up in the Everglades. There, in an isolated spot, they met a man named Don that Otis seemed to know well. It was becoming clear to Henry that Otis had already proved himself to the cult many times over, and now he must do the same if he wanted to join. They went to a tent where a young man was drinking and smoking. Don looked at Henry and told him, kill him and make it clean. Only then will you be one of us. The man was a student, betrayed his oath to the cult and must be killed. Don explained. Otis had a bottle of whiskey and was ready to go. They walked down to the water with the young man, who was still drinking and talking. Henry waited until he stood at the edge of the water and was tipping his head back for a drink when he grabbed him from behind and slit his throat so deeply that the whiskey poured out mingled with blood flowing down his hands. Don smiled at such a clean kill. The body, according to Henry, was used in a cult ritual where the body was mutilated, the heart cut out and some of the flesh eaten. After that, Henry was a member and in training. According to him, all new members had a sponsor. The camp had both men and women and had both day and night activities. Days were for training in all forms of crime, murder, kidnapping, rape, drug selling, and the making of pornographic movies and photos. At night, there were liquor and drugs for everyone, and Henry claimed sex was plentiful. There were evening sacrifices, transient people, or sometimes people who had in some way or another, betrayed the culture and was considered a liability. It was as if there were no shortage of bodies to kill. And Henry was quite willing to kill as many as he possibly could, Engaging in the training activities with his partner. Assigned by the cult, Henry was trained for seven weeks in almost every form of criminal activity imaginable. Shortly after his training was completed, he was assigned to the kidnapping division of the organization. Otis was there to work with him, and they were told they could make a lot of money by kidnapping. There would be no killing and it would be much easier. In 1978, the chances of being caught were much slimmer. The Amber alert not having been instituted yet, Henry and Otis took their first job by kidnapping three babies and running them across the border of Mexico to a ranch in Chihuahua. Henry claimed he and Otis also kidnapped several teenage girls that were used in pornographic snuff films. Knowing that they would die at the end wasn't troubling for him. By that time, he'd killed so many people, he said, it just didn't matter anymore. But the stakes were higher in the killing game than in the kidnapping operations. After nearly a year, Henry asked to be transferred there. In a year, he claimed to have carried out six high profile executions. Most of these were in Texas and Mexico, with one in Canada. He told the police at the time of his incarceration that he was offered the job of delivering the cyanide to Jim Jones in Guyana and assassinating then president Jimmy Carter. How much all of this is fact and not a figment of Henry's imagination, one is left to speculate. Have we largely been conditioned to oversimplify the underlying motivations driving such irrational human action as disturbing and evil and serial ritual murder? Whether it be through calculated deception or the desperate need for a plausible explanation, the end result remains the same. This week we set out looking for the truth, only to find the truth almost too frightening to contemplate. Into this abyss, we reluctantly walk. Not knowing we have vastly underestimated the scope of the ultimate evil. What if an organization existed providing bold connections between the most infamous serial killers in American history, Various satanic cult groups well versed in occult principles, with deep ties to elite secret societies and sinister covert action, Wielding insidious clandestine operational methods, Many investigators and intrepid reporters have connected this well established cult organization to a nationwide wave of murderous mayhem, including the likes of Jeffrey Dahmer, the Zodiac Killings, Smiley Face Killers, Charlie Manson and the Family, Henry Lee Lucas and the Hand of Death, the ritual murder of Arlis Perry inside the Stanford Memorial Church within the grounds of Stanford University, the murder of producer Roy Raiden, Adolfo Costanzos and La Madrina's narcosatanist and metamoros responsible for the ritual killing of American student Mark Kilroy and David Berkowitz, the infamous serial killer widely considered the Lone Wolf and the Son of Sam killings. Our story begins with the foundation of a sinister organization with deep ties to the occult underground, given the name the Process Church of the Final Judgment. According to author Maury Terry in Chapter 9 of his book the Ultimate Evil, originally published in 1987, the Process Church of the Final Judgment was born in London, England, in 1963-64. Damien, child of two ranking members of the Church of Scientology who'd split with the parent organization following some philosophical differences with the teachings of L. Ron Hubbard, the developer of Scientology. The founding couple of the Process, Robert Moore and Mary Ann McLean, met while receiving advanced training at the Hubbard Institute of Scientology on London's Fitzroy Street. Divorcing Hubbard, they married one another and adopted the cult name Grimston for themselves. Robert Moore de Grimston was born in Shanghai, China, on August 10, 1935. David Berkowitz, or the Son of Sam killer, would be coincidentally arrested on DeGrimston's birthday. De Grimston, a tall, bearded blonde who affected a Christlike appearance, was an educated man studying at Winchester in England and later pursuing a career in architecture at the Regent Street Polytechnic Institute. His bride's background was checkered. Marianne McLean de Grimston was born illegitimately in Glasgow, Scotland, on November 20, 1931. She reportedly endured a frustrating childhood punctuated by tenure in a reform school. Marianne subsequently entered the United States, where she managed to meet former boxing champion Sugar Ray Robinson and became engaged in him. However, the relationship ended and Mary Ann returned to England, where she worked as a dance hall hostess at a dwelling in London. She became romantically involved with several prominent British citizens during the days of the John Perfumo Christine Keillor prostitution scandal, which rocked the British government in the early 1960s. At least one of those linked to The Perfumo affair, Dr. Stephen Ward, was an occult adept. Ward soon died, an apparent suicide. It was during this tumultuous period that Robert Moore and Mary Ann McLean met while immersed in profound mental exercises at the Hubbard Institute of Scientology.

On their own and with their new cult names, the de Grimstons began to experiment with sophisticated mind control games. They started a center to study what they termed compulsion analysis for research into elimination of compulsive behavior. They preached a doctrine of free choice, declaring that individuals were completely responsible for their own fates, actions and afflictions. Marianne, for instance, reportedly believed that Jews chose the gas chambers, and even birth defects were said to be freely selected and carried into the present from past lives. As the degrimstons also believed in reincarnation, the gods they worshipped were two in Jehovah and Lucifer. Not surprisingly, the fledgling process attracted a following. Young, searching and disturbed men and women were drawn to the group like metal to a magnet. The degrimstons also actively recruited, particularly from the ranks of the wealthy young. This cult modus operandi is an important one worthy of remembrance. Moneyed recruits serve two first, it could be tapped for sizable donations that would allow the cult to expand and its leaders to maintain an appropriate lifestyle. Second, wealthy converts often held top jobs or had important connections, enabling the cult to gain entry into powerful businesses, entertainment, government, and financial circles, laying the foundation for an influential cultic old boy network. In March 1966, the Grimstons, flush with success, leased a mansion on Balfour Place in London's fashionable Mayfair section. Now totally absorbed in their power trip, they brought 25 groveling followers into the house with them. Here, the German shepherds entered the picture as the de Grimstons each obtained a large Alsatian, a breed of German shepherd to mirror their leaders. The acolytes also purchased German shepherds, and their canine core grew to over 30 in number. The degrimstons weren't content with a limited operation, however. In the tradition of egomaniacal gurus everywhere, they decided to expand internationally. Accordingly, they, along with 18 disciples and a number of Alsatians, embarked for Nassau for six weeks before leasing a large tract of land on the beach in Stul, Mexico, which is situated on the Yucatan peninsula. The Mexican period was a significant one because while in stool Process's two gods, Lucifer and Jehovah, were joined by a third Satan, the first time the group began conducting moonlight satanic rituals, also at Stuhl, the notion of founding a formal process church evolved to process members. The stool experience was the equivalent of Christ's 40 days and nights in the desert. Returning to England, group sought out the famous striving to convert the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, among others. A bookstore was opened, a coffee house perked, and Process magazine rolled off the presses. Cult was enamored of bloodshed and war, and its magazine reflected the obsession. Hitler was considered a noble gentleman worthy of admiration and worship. In this, the era of flower power, the Process briefly managed to entrap singer Marianne Faithful, a close companion of the Rolling Stones. In one issue of Process magazine, she was pictured supine, as if deed clutching a rose. In late 1967, Robert de Grimston published a book, as it Is, which spelled out the Process's philosophy. Christ said, love thine enemy. Christ's enemy was Satan, and Satan's enemy was Christian. Through love, saint and sinner destroy the enmity between them. Through love, Christ and Satan have destroyed their enmity and come together for the end. Christ to judge Satan to execute the judgment. The key to this treatise is contained in the sentence which says that Christ and Satan have joined forces to bring about the end of the world. Christ, according to the Process, was employing Satan as a hitman. So worshiping Satan was akin to worshipping Christ. And killing in the name of Satan was actually killing for Christ a divine mission? Naturally, de Grimston was thought by Process members to be Christ, and they, in adoring Satan, were the agents of God working under divine orders to save the world from itself by hastening the day of the Second Coming. In the end, the cult would survive to build a new world of satanic glory. From the Bible, the signs of the Second Coming were evident. The fires of Armageddon, death, chaos and confusion. The Process firmly believed its divine duty was to hasten the arrival of the final days. And bastardizing the Bible, told them how to do it. This was a blueprint for murder, butchery and other crime cloaked in religious justification. Would the disenfranchised, rebellious or power hungry swallow this perverse theology? Most assuredly, the DeGrimstons believed, and they prepared a Go ye and teach all nations crusade which swept into the United states in late 1967. My prophecy upon this wasted earth and upon the corrupt creation that squats upon its ruined surface is thou shalt kill. It is not known if Process members, seeping into San Francisco in the autumn of the Summer of Love, distributed pamphlets containing that quote from Robert de Grimston's book Jehovah on War. But arrive they did, bringing their German shepherds, magazines, recruitment raps and twisted theology with them in the United States. That was the era of burgeoning student unrest. The Vietnam war was igniting protests. Parental values were under siege. Psychedelic music was the rage. Bishop movements, flower children were in full bloom. The summer of 1967, the crossroads of Haight in Ashbury transformed San Francisco into Mecca. Timothy Leary was advising youth to turn on, tune in, drop out. It was an age of do your own thing, free love and transcendental meditation. Even the Beatles were grooving on the Maharisha and singing all you need is love. This was fertile ground for the Process to plow. The Cult was at this time arranged into three subgroups which represented its three gods. The Jehovah's were straight laced and uncompromising. The Puritans of the sect Luciferians, in contrast, literally embraced each other, advocating sensuality, tranquility and the free use of narcotics. Finally, Satanists believed what Satanists everywhere believed. Gore, violence, sacrifice and devil worship. New Process members were free to select the disciple of their choice. This option mattered little to the DeGrimstons, since according to their preachings, all three branches would converge for the final judgment which would mark the end of the world. As non members, the great forces of moderation knew it to be for Processins, no matter which God they bowed to, it was a joyous time. The end was coming and they, as the chosen people, were going to be part of the big event landing in California. The Process was just another group of proselytizers hawking their wares in an already teeming marketplace. They attracted little official attention since law enforcement authorities lumped them into the same category as other messianic minions littering the streets with their literature. There was a difference here. Process was dangling a carrot seasoned for a variety of taste buds and thus was able to entice a sizable number of recruits. Death and violence advocates were attracted by the Satanist wing and the promise of upcoming end of the world rampage and destruction. Free love and dope aficionados were seduced by the Luciferians and self flagellating hair shirts were drawn to the strict forbidding Jehovahs. And it should be noted here, the Christ Satan duality was very appealing to an aging flower child or the name of Charles Manson. Manson happened to have considerable connections to the Process Church.

Was heavily influenced by the group from around April through July 1967. Charlie Manson and his still fledgling family even lived at 636 Cole Street. Only two blocks from the Process Church San Francisco headquarters at 407 Cole Street. The infamous Haight Ashbury district. Author Maury Terry continues to explain that in San Francisco the Process set up house on Cole street and later moved to a more amenable residence on oak Street. In March 1968, after spreading the news in the North, a contingent of 30 members accompanied by more than a dozen Alsatian dogs drove down the coast to Weirdness West Los Angeles. In la, they rented a large house on South Cochrane street from where they descended on Sunset Strip like so many vultures in quest of cadavers. There they vacuumed up new disciples from the swarms of runaways, castoffs, bikers, dopers and other outsiders for whom the Strip was home. True to form, the Process approached the elite as well as the down and outers. Singer John Phillips of the Mamas and the Papas, Mama Cass Elliott herself and Terry Melcher, son of Doris Day and a TV and record producer, were among those in show business sought out by the group, apparently with mixed success. The Process, not surprisingly, was fond of the color black, wore black capes, some with the Mendez goat of Satan stitched in red on the back. Underneath, they donned black robes or suits and turtlenecks and adorned their necks with silver crosses. Some wore a Mendez goat pin. The official Process symbol paying homage to the idolized Hitler was a form of inverted swastika. On the streets of Los Angeles in the spring of 1968, the process was distributing the sex issue of Process magazine. Its front cover displayed a photo of a satanic ceremony showing a naked girl lying on an altar surrounded by a band of hooded cultists. An inverted cross shadowed the scene. The back cover contained a rendering of a winged skeleton suspended over a pile of naked bodies. The humans, mouths gaping, apparently were either dead or in hell or both. The inner pages of this charming piece of literature contained articles relating to black masses and necrophilia, practice of performing sexual or other violations on corpses. A subsequent issue of Process magazine was devoted to Fear. On the back cover of this publication, a band of marching Nazis spewed from the mouth of a fiery pink skull. The Nazis were tramping on a ground of people being consumed by fire. Elsewhere in this same illustration, the face of Hitler appeared in a fun house mirror and the human being was shown burning to death. At the top of the page, a legend promised next issue Death. The magazine's center spread was devoted to the unholy alliance of the Lamb of God and the goat of Satan. The caption read, the lamb and the goat must come together. Pure love descended from the pinnacle of heaven, United with pure hatred raised from the depths of hell. Other articles of great interest in the Fear issue included a page of quotes about fear from members of the Hell's Angels biker group. Process actively recruited bikers, considering them the frontline troops of the great war to come, an essay entitled Satan is Fear, and a picture of 24 process Alsatian dogs menacing the camera. Regarding the obsession with fear, it is not a coincidence that one of Charlie Manson's favorite lectures to his followers revolved around the expression getting the fear. As incredible as Process magazine was, its rantings could only be considered routine. Coming as they did from a group whose leader, Robert de Grimston wrote in Satan on War, release the fiend that lies dormant within you, for he is strong and ruthless and his power is far beyond the bounds of human frailty. Was a more divine trumpet ever blown? What the Process had managed to do was to envelop isolated weirdness freaks from various social backgrounds and mix them together.

Terms and conditions apply it was a volatile brew and the common cause resulted in long standing alliances being sealed. I have spoken to several professional people, including educators who remain sympathetic to the group's theology. So any impressions that the cult managed to attract only society's misfits would be erroneous. In terms of inner ranking, there were six levels of membership in the group, which borrowed from the family structure for its inspiration. In fact, the Process referred to itself as the Family, as Manson did with his group. It is yet another interesting link between Manson and the Process, and there are many more. For instance, cult names were substituted for legal names once initiates reached a certain level of Process indoctrination. This was another practice Manson utilized for many in his family. The lowest level in the Process was that of acolyte, followed by initiate and messenger, the rank at which the recruit acquired his or her cult name, such as Brother Tom, Sister Rebecca, or Father Jonas. From the rank of messenger, the aspiring cultist graduated to profit, priest, and ultimately master. At one point in the journey, all members, regardless of their chosen God, were required to enter a long period of satanic worship, which reportedly included blood rituals and sacrifice. Accepted processes then formally convened twice each month, summon their three gods, who would then speak through the mouths of the gathered cult members. Most of the original cultists were British citizens who apparently came to America on 90 day visitors visas. Some extensions of time were granted, but eventually, in the summer of 1968, many of the group suddenly dropped from sight. Some, it was said, returned to England, but others appear to have remained in the United States. Clandestinely, the Grimstons themselves headed for New York City, where a Process church was established on Cornelia street in Greenwich village in late 1968. In addition to the church, numerous members lived in a building on East 12th street, while the de Grimstons stayed in Brooklyn. As in California, the Process recruited among the artists, poets, and hordes of counterculture youth who frequented the Village. Later, the cult spokesman told United Press International that more than 200Americans were fully converted to the faith. Process contingents subsequently materialized in New Orleans, Dallas, Toronto, Chicago, and Cambridge, Massachusetts, among other locations. In a development that is critical to this story, once the group's leadership turned over the reins to local disciples in Los Angeles, power plays and political infighting inevitably resulted. Differences in philosophy and theology also arose. Colt went underground there in the aftermath of the assassination of Senator Robert Kennedy, perhaps concerned that law enforcement would hear of Sirhan Sirhan's occult interests. An alleged acquaintance with a Process member, author Ed Sanders, even wrote in his 1971 book The Family. It is possible that the Process had a baleful influence on Sirhan Sirhan, since Sirhan is known in the spring of 68 to have frequented clubs in Hollywood in the same turf as the Process was proselytizing. Sirhan was very involved in occult pursuits. He has talked several times subsequent to Robert Kennedy's death about an occult group from London which he knew about and which he really wanted to go to London to see. There was one Process member named Lloyd who was coincidentally working as a chef for a large Los Angeles hotel named the Ambassador where the assassination would take place. It is probably a coincidence that Sirhan seems to have visited a friend who worked in the kitchen of the Ambassador Hotel the day before he fired shots at Senator Kennedy. According to Terry, as the cult went further underground, secret process chapters or spin offs using other names were established in Northern and Southern California. Not so coincidentally, since certain members movements were traced, authorities soon began finding the bodies of mutilated, decapitated or exsanguinated dogs, including numerous German Shepherds in the Santa Cruz area south of San Francisco. Some of the animals were skinned, prompting a Humane Society official to comment on the killer's abilities with knives. Reports of human sacrifice were also relayed to the police, including one from a gentleman named Stanley Baker, who was himself arrested for an out of state murder. Baker, who said he was a member of the Santa Cruz cult, carried a finger bone from his recent unfortunate victim in a leather pouch. Upon his arrest, he delivered one of criminal History's epic comments to I have a problem. I am a cannibal. Baker, who sported a swastika tattoo and other occult emblems, said he was recruited from a campus setting in Wyoming. He participated in blood drinking rituals there, was further programmed and then joined the California activities concerning this particular victim. Baker told the police he murdered the man, cut out his heart and ate it. Baker and at least one other witness told authorities the Santa Cruz group later headed back downstate where they resumed their obnoxious rituals, including murder in the O'Neill park area of the Santa Ana Mountains south of Los Angeles. This cult, a Process splinter group, was said by the witnesses to call itself the 4PMovement or 4PI. Its leader alleged to be a prosperous LA businessman or doctor. He was known as the Grand Chingon. Interestingly, Ed Sanders stated that on several occasions in his presence, Manson family members referred to Charlie as the Grand Chingon. However, Manson was under arrest at this time while the cult was still functioning. How did Manson's followers know the cult name of the leader of this top secret slaughter society? Shortly after the 4P cult relocated to Los Angeles in early 1969, another split apparently occurred. Some 4Pmembers decided there was too much emphasis on sacrifice and devil worship and not enough sex. This faction apparently went off on its own, leaving the Grand Chingon and his remaining followers to carry on their business of draining and drinking the blood of sacrificed dogs and humans. There is a curious similarity Here to differences which arose in the parent process between the sensual Luciferians and the hardcore Satanists. According to the witnesses, including Baker, the Qingon cult practiced its rituals on the basis of a stellar timetable and employed its own cultic terminology. The group also was alleged to possess a portable crematorium to dispose of victims remains, an ornate wooden altar, and a specially designed sacrificial knife with six blades. A biker who belonged to the cult did provide the police with one, Erikson, but authorities were unable to find him. And as many in cults go by names other than their own, or by first names only, rounding up perpetrators is at best an extremely difficult task. Moreover, such underground groups are mobile, often meeting at a variety of remote locations in the dead of night. And informants are scarce due to the fear factor and blood oaths of loyalty often taken by members. Plus, of course, almost any informant was likely to have been an active accomplice in murder himself and as such would have little incentive to provide information to the police. Baker, incidentally, did not renounce his satanic proclivities when sentenced to prison for the brutal heart meal murder he acknowledged committing. Authorities report that he actively and regularly conspired to organize a devil worshiping cult among his fellow inmates. Apparently an otherwise model prisoner, he was eligible for release in mid-1985, but his parole board, for whatever reason, was finding it difficult to locate a halfway house willing to accept him. Lower ranking satanists such as Baker often literally believe in the havoc they wreak. But cult leaders are likely to be motivated as much by power and greed as they are by infernal incantations. It is possible to visualize the structure, the process left in place, a network of cult contacts between various cities. And it is also possible to envision how such a structure staffed by willing satanic slaves.

Apply to be employed for purposes that could greatly benefit a handful of leaders, both monetarily in terms of drug distribution and child pornography, for instance, and personally in terms of power, influence and immense ego gratification. To those leaders, allegiance to Satan is a secondary, convenient avocation. Process and its secret offshoots didn't have the Southern California or US occult scene or philosophies to themselves. Aleister Crowley, British intelligence agent, master, black magician and self proclaimed prophet tasked with guiding humanity into the Aeon of Horus, who died in 1947, had written of a unification of God and Satan. That precept and other Crowleyisms found their way into Process doctrine. By sharing Crowley's beliefs, the Process also blended those of the Order of the Golden Dawn. The golden dawn was an English occult society to which Crowley belonged in the late 19th century. The golden dawn believed in Kabbalistic magic and taught that the will could be trained to accomplish paranormal effects, including astral projection. The golden dawn also strongly believed in symbolism, teaching that certain symbols or thoughts have the same meaning for all human beings. After internal dissension, elements of the golden dawn more or less merged into the ordo Templis Orientis OTO, a German occult society founded in 1902. The OTO accused Crowley of revealing one of its most secret that sex could be employed for the purposes of magic. But after mending some fences, Crowley won permission to head a British OTO branch, and the teachings of the OTO entered the United States with Crowley in 1916 during World War I in Europe. Later, during World War II, Crowley helped establish an OTO lodge in Pasadena, California. OTO branches subsequently sprouted in a number of U.S. cities, including New York and Houston. In effect, a loose network was formed and already functioning via occult shops and bookstores, newsletters, ads in the underground press and other methods, including personal contacts. By the time the process arrived in 1967. In fact, many believe that the entire occult underground in America today can be traced back to the formation of that Crowley OTO operation in Pasadena. The Process then incorporated the ideas of a number of its ancestors and current occupants of the occult landscape, including the oto. Accordingly, there was intermingling of philosophy, membership and networking among the groups. This arrangement makes labeling a difficult, restrictive measure. Charles Manson, for example, was exposed to the practices of a renegade OTO lodge in Southern California, as well as having been deeply influenced by the Process Author Phil Jahan wrote in his book that Manson was associated with Robert de Grimston of the Process Church. In fact, they used the same alias, Robert Moore. During the Tate LaBianca trial, the prosecutor even asked Manson if he knew Moore, Charlie responded, you're looking at him. Moore and I are one and the same. Leading up to the Tate LaBianca murders, Sharon Tate and Roman Polanski had been in Rome with Hollywood manager and owner of the infamous Cielo Drive house, Rudy Altabelli. And according to official records from the irs, they were also in Rome at the very same time as one Robert de Grimston. Five days after the murder of Sharon Tate, the Rome chapter of the Process Church would call a Council of Masters meeting, swiftly deciding to close down the Rome chapter, allegedly returning to England, where they would subsequently publish the Fear and Death issues of the Process magazine, opening up a chapter in Paris. De Grimston was also associated with Ron Stark, a CIA agent who supplied LSD to almost all of the youth in America during the late 1960s. Another strange, unexplained occurrence that happened during the Manson trial is the fact that Steve K, who worked on Bugliosi's prosecution team, used to date Sandra Good, one of the main Manson girls, years earlier when they went to school together in San Diego. In 1970, during Manson's trial, in connection with the killings of Sharon Tate and housemates Leno and Rosemary LaBianca, two representatives of the Process made an impromptu visit to prosecutor Bugliosi. A Father John and a Brother Matthew. Having heard that I was asking questions about the group, they had been sent from their Cambridge, Massachusetts headquarters to assure me that Manson and Moore had never met and that Moore was opposed to violence. They also left me a stack of Process literature. The following day, the names Father John and Brother Matthew appeared on Manson's visitors list. What they discussed is unknown. All I know is that in my last conversation with Manson, Charlie became evasive when I questioned him about the Process. Manson's guests solicited from him, or perhaps transcribed, a short article on the nature of death, which they ran in their 1971 issue, thematically titled Death. According to author Michael Newton in his book raising hell. In 1967, hanging out around a San Francisco landmark called the Devil House, Manson started rubbing shoulders with a morbid cult from England called the Process Church of the Final Judgment. As one family member described the scene for author Ed Sanders, the Devil House people said it was a religious order and it went under many ancient names, one of them being the Champions of Life, another one being the Final Church of Judgment. Final Church is the name Manson chose for the church he would eventually found. Aside from its name, Manson also borrowed his concept of the fear from Process spokesmen, along with the cult's program for recruiting outlaw Biker gangs to terrorize society on the eve of Armageddon. This association with the process seemed to follow Manson and the family south to Los Angeles near the end of 1967, Adam go rightly explains in his book the Shadow Over Santa Susana. But before heading to Los Angeles for the Universal recording sessions, Carly had met a woman in San Francisco named Gina, who, according to Manson, in his own words, he remembered as a trippy broad about 45 years old who experimented with everything and was pumped up on devil worship. Gina extended an invitation for Charlie to visit her in Los Angeles at an old two story gothic mansion she owned in Topanga Canyon, which Charlie's family later nicknamed the Spiral Staircase due to their circular stairs at the entrance of the residence. Later, during his Universal studio sessions, Carly needed a place to park the family bus for a while and so decided to take up Gina on her offer. As Ed Sanders noted, the Spiral Staircase became a scrounge lounge for Manson and his girls over the next few months. The Spiral Staircase, also known as the Rattlesnake Pit, was a fabled meeting place of people, beautiful and weird party house and freakout pad, home to light shows, acid orgies and occult rituals. According to researcher Salvador Estucia, the Spiral Staircase was once owned by Bela Lugosi and later the popular LA rock group Arthur Lee's Love lived there for a period. In fact, many of the band's publicity stills show them standing on a spiral staircase reportedly taken at their LA residence. Charlie described the Spiral Staircase as a house of transition, a place where those who walk the straight and narrow could come to by the dark of night and indulge in what they preached against. During daylight hours. At the Spiral Staircase you would find celebrities and prominent sports figures and one occasion, those who wore the cloth. It was a melting pot of different occult groups and religious practices then being bandied about much in the same way that different drugs became fashionable for a period of time, then were replaced by the next strange elixir to show up on the market promising immortal life or at the very least a fleeting flash illumination. Each time Charlie returned to the Spiral Staircase, he'd see something new and different and not all of it was love and flowers, animal sacrifices and the drinking of blood apparently took place upon the hallowed Spiral Staircase grounds in conjunction with satanic sex rituals, some located out on the beach near the property, apparently directed by the house's owner.

It was at the Spiral Staircase that Charlie was exposed to various counterculture gurus, and we no doubt took note of the heavy raps laid down and how they maneuvered and manipulated their followers. Charlie picked up on the way some of these acid fascists maintained control by instilling fear. Later these lessons would come back to him as a method to employ his own special form of madness, the seeds of which were seemingly planted at the Spiral Staircase. Maury Terry insisted that members of the Process also frequented the Spiral Staircase, claiming that a jailed Manson killer told me Charlie's family met Process leaders at the Spiral Staircase house near Los Angeles in 1968. Manson himself confirmed this statement in his autobiography. In a clear reference to the English group, he wrote that he met individuals who worshiped multiple devils at the very house in question. Before we transition into our final chapter, it's important to at least mention that even the name of this malignant organization is rooted in clandestine operations. This time our connection comes in the form of Thomas Jude Baumler, a lawyer, hypnotist and bishop of the American Orthodox Catholic Church who had worked out of Guy Bannister's office in New Orleans in the months leading up to the JFK assassination, infiltrating left wing college groups and reporting back to the office of the former G Man. This happened to be the same New Orleans office where Lee Harvey Oswald had also worked leading up to the JFK assassination. Amlor had allegedly been recruited by another bishop and former Banister employee named Jack Martin. Author Peter Lavenda wrote about this in a series of articles he titled Bishop and the Boys, claiming that Jack Martin remained a bishop with the American Orthodox Catholic Church to the end of his days, even going so far as to bring in another Banister associate, the corpulent attorney and unapologetic racist Thomas Jude Baumler to the Orthodox fold, consecrating Baumler, a bishop In August of 1974, nearly 11 years after the Kennedy assassination and seven years after the beginning of the Garrison investigation and the death of both Archbishop Christopher Maria, C.J. stanley and David Ferry who happened to be consecrated by Stanley into his church in 1961, along with Jack Martin, Clive Bannister and many others in Bannister's office. Lavender claims, from personal correspondence with an individual involved with this affair, I learned that Ballmer had already been ordained a priest by Stanley years before. In other words, prior to Stanley's death in March 1967, Baumler's status in New Orleans society was assured. He came from an old family and was associated with one of the famous Mardi Gras crews. His father was even a part of the original Office of Strategic Services, or oss. In addition, according to Lavinda's informant, Baumler was also a Mason and belonged to the same lodge, the Etoile Polair Lodge of the French Grand Orient. Is Mafia don Carlo Marcello, one of the men for whom David Ferry was allegedly working for on the day of the assassination. One final note on Tommy Baumler, which perfectly dovetails with our current story, providing yet another tangible connection to the Process Church is the fact that Tommy Baumler is the attorney who helped incorporate the Process and even helped select its full name, Process Church of the Final Judgment. Our final chapter begins with the extraordinary tale of David Berkowitz, originally known to the public as the.44 caliber killer. Now he is widely considered to be the infamous Son of Sam serial killer who pled guilty to perpetrating eight shootings in New York City between July 1976 and July 1977, resulting in six fatalities. Wielding a.44 special caliber Bulldog revolver, he's allegedly responsible for killing six people and wounding seven others, terrorizing New Yorkers for just over a year as he eluded law enforcement's largest manhunt in New York City's history, all the while leaving strange, cryptic letters in an effort to mock the police promising to commit additional crimes. Letters quickly became a focal point of the establishment news media's coverage, as the story naturally captured the attention of the public. A satanic panic loomed large in the minds of Americans at this time, no doubt playing a prominent role in the public perception of this case as recent as 2021. A fresh new perspective was offered to the public as a documentary series premiered on Netflix, profiling the brilliant work of Maury Terry, who spent over 40 years attempting to prove that the notorious David Berkowitz did not act alone. Run from me, darling. A killer on the loose in New.

A vigilant citizen published an article with the headline Son of Sam Case, A Rare Window into the Inner Workings of the Occult Elite, corroborating much of the evidence presented by author Maury Terry in his book the Ultimate Evil, linking the Process Church to a multitude of additional crimes committed under the tutelage of this occult group. According to the article, in 1997, David Berkowitz, the infamous serial killer dubbed the Son of Sam, agreed to be interviewed by the very same investigative journalist Maury Terry. At this point, Berkowitz had been incarcerated for over 20 years and converted to Christianity. He even gave himself a new Son of Hope. Although he never denied the fact that he killed innocent people and that he deserved his multiple life sentences, Berkowitz had always maintained one vital he did not act alone. Not only that, the Son of Sam murders were not random acts of violence carried out by a lone nut. They were as crazy as it sounds. Ritual sacrifices carried out by a highly organized satanic cult. At the time of this interview, Maury Terry had been investigating the Son of Sam case for over two decades. Ten years prior, he released the Ultimate Evil, an Investigation of America's Most Dangerous Satanic Cult, a book that presented evidence that these killings were linked to a massive occult network. In this Interview. Terry was looking to confirm important facts he uncovered in his years of research. For instance, there was evidence that the 1977 killing of 20 year old Stacy Moskowitz was most likely filmed by someone who was hiding in a van. If this was true, the entire lone nut theory would be disproved. Furthermore, it would signify that these murders were actually team efforts that even implicated the production of snuff material to be sold in underground circles. When Terry asks about this mysterious van, Berkowitz answers, there was some filming going on. Somebody wanted to film it for somebody else or whatever. Are you stating to me then that they made a snuff film from that van of the shooting of Stacey Moskowitz and Robert Volante? Maybe that's what you can call it. Was this the cult group itself that was responsible for the Son of Sam murders, or was there something else that went on? Uh, there was another group, a more elite group hidden into it and woven into it, you know. In his last answer, Berkowitz stated that the coven he belonged to, named the Children, was infiltrated by an elite group that pushed them further into the dark side. In his research, Terry believed that this elite group might have been the Process Church, a powerful satanic group that became extremely influential in the early 1970s. Before going underground, Terry then asked Berkowitz, what other kinds of crimes did they commit? Well, heavy drug trafficking and other things involving children. Involving children? What do you mean? What kind of business were they in? You're telling me the Process was producing child pornography, is that what you're saying? And providing children? Berkowitz nodded right after the producers stopped the interview. This is where a thorough investigation of the Son of Sam case leads. The rotten core of the occult elite, which is obsessed with the worst abominations known to man. By May 1977, the first handwritten letter had been discovered by police near the bodies of Alexander Isso and Valentina Sirianni. Written mostly in block capitals with a few lowercase letters and addressed to NYPD Captain Joseph Borelli, the letter expressed the killer's determination to continue his work and taunted police for their fruitless efforts to capture him in full. With misspellings intact, the letter read, I am deeply hurt by your calling me a women hater. I am not. But I am a monster. I am the Son of Sam. I am a little brat. When Father Sam gets drunk, he gets mean. He beats his family. Sometimes he ties me up to the back of the house. Other times he locks me in the garage. Sam loves to Drink blood. Go out and kill, commands Father Sam. Behind our house, some rest. Mostly young, raped and slaughtered, their blood drained. Just bones now. Papa Sam keeps me locked in the attic, too. I can't get out, but I look out the attic window and watch the world go by. I feel like an outsider. I am on a different wavelength than everybody else. Programmed to kill. However, to stop me, you must kill me. Attention all police. Shoot me first. Shoot to kill or else. Keep out of my way or you will die. Papa Sam is old now. He needs some blood to preserve his youth. He has had too many heart attacks. Too many heart attacks. Ugh. Me. Hoot it. Urts, Sonny boy. I miss my pretty princess most of all. She's resting in Our Lady's house, but I'll see her soon. I am the monster Beelzebub. A chubby behemoth. I love to hunt. Prowling the streets, looking for fair game, tasty meat. The women of Queens are ze prettiest of all. I must be the water they drink. I live for the hunt. My life. Blood for Papa. Mr. Borelli, sir. I don't want to kill anymore. No, sir. No more. But I must honor thy father. I want to make love to the world. I love people. I don't belong on Earth. Return me to Yahoos. To the people of Queens. I love you. And I want to wish all of you a happy Easter. May God bless you in this life and in the next. And for now, I say goodbye and good night. Police. Let me haunt you with these words. I'll be back. I'll be back. To be interpreted as. Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang, bang. Ugh. Yours in murder, Mr. Monster. On May 30, 1977, Daily News columnist Jimmy Breslin received a handwritten letter. From someone who claimed to be the.44 caliber killer. The letter was postmarked early that same day in Inglewood, N.J. on the reverse of the envelope, neatly hand printed in four precisely centered lines, Were the words. Blood and family. Darkness and death. Absolute depravity. Ch, ch, ch.

44. The letter inside read, hello from the gutters of NYC which are filled with dog manure, vomit, stale wine, urine and blood. Hello from the sewers of NYC would swallow up these delicacies when they are washed away by the sweeper trucks. Hello from the cracks in the sidewalks of NYC and from the ants that dwell in these cracks and feed in the dried blood of the dead that has settled into the cracks. Jb I'm just dropping you a line to let you know that I appreciate your interest in those recent and horrendous 44 killings. I also want to tell you that I read your column daily and I find it quite informative. Tell me Jim, what will you have for July 29th? You can forget about me if you like, because I don't care for publicity. However, you must not forget Nana Lauria. And you cannot let the people forget her either. She was a very, very sweet girl. But Sam's a thirsty lad and he won't let me stop killing until he gets his fill of blood. Mr. Breslin, sir, don't think that because you haven't heard from me for a while that I went to sleep. No. Rather, I am still here. Like a spirit, roaming the night. Thirsty, hungry, seldom stopping to rest. Anxious to please Sam. I love my work. Now the void has been filled. Perhaps we shall meet face to face some day. Or perhaps I will be blown away by cops with smoking. 38s. Whatever. If I shall be fortunate enough to meet you, I will tell you all about Sam if you like. And I will introduce you to him. His name is Sam the Terrible. Not knowing what the future holds, I shall say farewell and I will see you at the next job. Or should I say, you will see my handiwork at the next job. Remember, Ms. Lauria. Thank you. In their blood and from the gutter, Sam's creation. 44. Here are some names to help you along. Forward them to the inspector for use by NCIC Duke of Death, the Wicked King Wicker 22 Disciples of Hell John Wheaties, Rapist and suffocator of young girls. P.S. please inform all the detectives working the slaying to remain. PS JB Please inform all the detectives working the case that I wish them the best of luck. Keep em diggin'drive, on, Think positive, get off your butts, knock on coffins, etc. Upon my capture, I promised to buy all the guys working the case a new pair of shoes. If I can get up the money. Son of Sam. Underneath the Son of Sam was a logo or sketch that combined several occult symbols. One of the letter symbols oddly resembled that of the OTO. The writer's question, what will you have for July 29th? Was considered an ominous threat. July 29th would be the anniversary of the Loria Valenti shooting. Breslin notified police who thought that the letter was probably from someone with knowledge of the shootings. The Breslin letter was sophisticated in its wording and presentation, especially when compared to the crudely written first letter. And police suspected that it might have been created in an art studio or similar professional location by someone with expertise in printing, calligraphy or graphic design. The unusual writing caused the police to speculate that the killer was a comic book litterer, and they asked staff members of DC Comics whether they recognized the lettering. The Wicked King Wicker reference caused police to arrange a private screening of The Wicker Man 1973 horror film. The Vigilant Citizen article we cited earlier explains that in August 1977 the NYPD proudly announced that the Son of Sam was caught. Officials revealed that the serial killer was David Berkowitz, a 25 year old Jewish man who lived in Yonkers and who claimed that a demonic dog named Sam was ordering him to commit the murders. While the city of New York let go a collective sigh of relief after the arrest of Berkowitz, some observers quickly realized that many details were not adding up. A close analysis of eyewitness accounts did not match the whereabouts of Berkowitz in several crime scenes. Furthermore, Berkowitz looked nothing like several composite sketches released by the police. Many of the sketches happen to closely resemble other members of his coven. Berkowitz even confirmed in an interview that one of the suspects in the sketches was actually a high level woman who came in from out of town to take part in the ritual killings. There was also another vital element that was completely ignored by the police force. Nearly every clue relating to this case could only be understood with knowledge of occultism, witchcraft and black magic. Shortly after his incarceration, David Berkowitz began reaching out to various individuals through letters that provided relevant information relating to the case. According to Maury Terry, David Berkowitz wanted the Son of Sam case to be resolved and more importantly, he wanted the truth to come out. However, he could not outright rat out cult members because that would put his family and his own life at risk. In 1979, Berkowitz sent a letter to a California preacher that summed up his. I really don't know how to begin this letter, but at one time I was a member of an occult group being sworn to secrecy and faced death. I cannot reveal the name of the group, nor do I wish to. This group contained a mixture of satanic practices which included the teachings of Aleister Crowley and Eliphaz Levy. It was still is totally blood oriented and I am certain you know just what I mean. The coven's doctrines are a blend of ancient Druidism, the teachings of the Secret Order of the Golden Dawn, Black magic and a host of other unlawful and obnoxious practices. As I said, I have no interest in revealing the coven, especially because I have almost met Sudden Death on several occasions. Once by half an inch and several others have already perished under mysterious circumstances. These people will stop at nothing, including murder. They have no fear of man made laws or the Ten Commandments. I think it is imperative that I educate certain people, people whose job it is to clean up after this coven. Of course I am talking about the authorities. Actually it is my duty as a citizen of this planet to do so. But it would be up to those concerned people to do their own investigating. Knowing the fearlessness and dedication this group possesses, I fear greatly for my family. To break away completely is impossible because of a pact each new member signs in his own blood. Also, each new and carefully screened recruit supplies a picture or pictures of all his family or her family members, plus their addresses. These items are used if necessary as tools for blackmail, coercion and eventually physical harm should one attempt to betray the group. The group Berkowitz belonged to was named the Children. They often met at night at Untermyr park in Yonkers, New York to partake in black masses and ritual sacrifices complete with sphinxes and Masonic twin pillars. Untermyr park was built on occult principles and it's filled with symbolism relating to elite secret societies. It certainly qualifies as a sinister site. Untermyr park was built by Samuel J. Untermyr, an extremely powerful figure in United States history who was deeply connected with the occult elite. According to Mory, Terry Untermeyer was a member of the New York City Temple of the Hermetic Order of the golden dawn, one of the most powerful occult secret societies of its day. During the 1970s, Untermyr park was in an advanced state of neglect and became a meeting place for the children who met in an abandoned building they called the Devil's cave. In a 1993 interview, Berkowitz described what happened in the Devil's. We had a spot where there was like a circle with rocks. You could actually feel like a force out there, a presence out there in the darkness. We began to hear more and more conversations about witchcraft, about black magic. We were really having little religious services almost. I did begin to witness some animal sacrifices. We were at a park, I guess it was Untermeyer Park. We had this circle formed and we said, okay, let's start chanting now. Let's call the names of the demons.

Let's call Satan's name. Let's call Lucifer. Let's bring him. Let's summon from the netherworld, from the air. And let's ask him to anoint you tonight, you as one of his royal soldiers, to do his bidding, to do his will. There were definitely lots of arsons. These demons wanted fire. Was this Lucifer? Yes, it was Lucifer. It was Moloch, another God who wanted fire sacrifices. In another interview, Berkowitz revealed the true meaning of the name Son of Sam. Sadly, the psychiatrists or the psychologists are so blind. You know, I tried to explain to them what was happening, but they couldn't grasp it who Sam really was. I hate to talk about this because they have made a joke about this for so very long. You know, the talking dog. Basically, I had given them the whole thing in a nutshell, and they never quite caught on that the highest ranking demon is Samhain. And these people who died was sadly for him. The letter that was sent to the journalist Jimmy Breslin during the Son of Sam killings alluded to occult practices of the children. First hello from the gutters of NYC is a reference to Untermyr park, which was built adjacent to the massive old proton aqueduct system, which is also believed to have been the site of underground meetings. The letter also mentions dog manure, vomit, stale wine, urine and blood, all elements used in witchcraft. While the children allegedly began as a group of wayward young people dabbling with drugs and occult practices, insiders, including Berkowitz himself have indicated that it was infiltrated by a powerful group to carry out an infernal task. Their goal was to commit to the ultimate sacrifice. There was even a letter that David Berkowitz had left in his apartment. A letter that was found and withheld by the police department in which Berkowitz wrote a warning to all the police agencies in the Tri State area claiming that there was a well established satanic cult organization which had as its goal the ritual murders of 100 young men and women. Berkowitz was interrogated for about 30 minutes in the early morning of August 11, 1977. He had quickly confessed to the shootings and eagerly expressed an interest in pleading guilty. The investigation was led by John Keenan, who took the confession during questioning. Berkowitz originally claimed that his neighbor's dog was one of the reasons that he killed, stating that the dog demanded the blood of pretty young girls. He said that the Sam mentioned in the first letter was his former neighbor Sam Carr, and that Harvey Carr's black Labrador was possessed by an ancient demon which issued irresistible commands that Berkowitz kill people. At a press conference in February 1979, however, Berkowitz declared that his previous claims of demonic possession were a hoax and even suggested he had carried out the killings with multiple accomplices. After his admission to Sullivan Prison, Berkowitz began to claim that he had joined a satanic cult in the spring of 1975. In 1993, he made these claims known when he announced to the press that he had killed only three of the Son of Sam victims, Loria, Ezo and Suriani. He said that he and several other cult members were involved in every incident by planning the events, providing early surveillance of the victims and acting as lookouts and drivers at the crime scenes. It's important to note, Berkowitz stated he could not divulge the names of most of his accomplices without putting his family directly at risk. In the 1977 Breslin letter allegedly written by the killer, the cult group seems to be referenced as the 22 disciples of hell. We should mention the fact that once Berkowitz took the rap and was apprehended by authorities, 21 others affiliated with the cult were promptly killed. Within a year of his sentencing, he was moved to the Attica Correctional Facility. Berkowitz had recently made the mistake of publicly revealing the existence of his accomplices. It was then that he would be violently attacked by fellow inmate William Houser, a career criminal biker who was never charged. This attempt on Berkowitz's life resulted in a wound requiring more than 50 stitches to close, as Hauser had slashed the left side of his throat from front to back. The majority of these accomplices would remain unnamed. However, Berkowitz did inevitably name two of the cult members, John and Michael Carr. The two men were Sons of the Dog owner Sam Carr, and they lived on nearby Warburton Avenue. Both of these other Sons of Sam were long dead. John Carr had been killed in a shooting which was suspiciously ruled a suicide in North Dakota during 1978, less than a year after Berkowitz was arrested, and Michael Carr had been in a fatal car accident in October of 1979. Despite the fact, investigator Maury Terry and Carr's former classmate described the death as suspicious and suggested there was evidence that he was run off the road intentionally. Berkowitz claimed that the perpetrator of the Damasi Lamino shooting was John Carr, and he even added that a Yonkers police officer, also a cult member, was actually involved in this crime. He also claimed that Michael Carr was the one who fired the shots at Lupo and Placido outside the Eliphas Disco Club in June of 1977. According to Terry, Michael Carr had been an active member of the Church of Scientology and noted that Berkowitz, at the time of his arrest, had been in possession of a list of telephone numbers, including the number for the Fort Harrison Hotel, the Church's spiritual headquarters in Clearwater, Florida. In a video interview made public in 2016, Berkowitz actually admitted that he had been heavily influenced by reading literature from the Process Church of the Final Judgment. Before we conclude, there is an additional significant thread worth pulling which seamlessly ties into this dark occult underground, providing a unique window into the sinister synchronicities malevolently devising our prevailing paradigm of power. According to a brilliant article written by David Livingstone, Rosemary's Baby in Chinatown, produced by famous Hollywood executive Robert Evans, who is linked to the Process Church through his friendship with one of its leaders. In the Ultimate Evil, Mory Terry links the Process Church to the Sons of Sam. Peter Lavinda, the suspected author of the Necronomicon, admitted in Sinister Forces that he and his circle also had several friends in common with the Son of Sam himself, who all visited the Magical Child bookshop and Chelsea. Founded by Herman Slater, an American Wiccan high priest, the Magical Child also served as the launching pad for the explosive growth of Aleister Crowley's OTO in the City. Robert Anton Wilson and Robert Shea had just published their Illuminatus trilogy and interest in secret societies and occult lore was sweeping through counterculture circles. Grady McMurtry was attempting to revive the OTO in California and had just succeeded in having Crowley's Thoth Tarot deck published. According to Lavenda, from that year until 1984, I found myself in the center of many of the incidents recounted in Terry's book, at least those that involved the Warlock Shop, Brooklyn Heights, the OTO and the various other secret societies and cults with their tenuous connections to the Scientologists, the Process Church of Final Judgment, the Church of Satan, the Ku Klux Klan, the National Renaissance Party, and all the various witchcraft covens and personalities, from the Gardnerians to the Alexandrians and Welsh traditionalists, from Raymond Buckland to Leo Martello and Margot Adler, from covens gay and straight and mixed to covens clothed and sky clad. What was going on was much more blatant, much more vigorous, than even Terry suspected. As Terry reported, Berkowitz attended parties in Connecticut at the house of Roy Cohn, Donald Trump's mentor, who happened to run a pedophile blackmail network strongly resembling the operation of one Jeffrey Epstein. According to John Dekamp, author of the Franklin Cover up, the sexual blackmail operation of Edwin Wilson, Iran Contra operator and leading member of Ted Shackley's secret team and the JFK Operation 40 assassination team was merely a continuation of the one set up by Roy Cohn during the McCarthy era with Lewis Rosenstiel and J. Edgar Hoover. According to his CIA partner Frank Turpil, Wilson ran a CIA directed sexual blackmailing pedophile ring of the kind which were intensive in Washington at about the time of the Watergate scandal. Cone admitted to NYPD detective James Rothstein that he was part of an elaborate sexual blackmail operation that compromised politicians with child prostitutes carried out as part of an anti communist crusade. According to Rothstein, Cone's job was to run the little boys. Say you had an admiral, a general, a congressman who did not want to go along with the program. Cone's job was to set them up, then they would go along. Cohn told me that himself. Rothstein also had an opportunity to speak to infamous Operation 40 Watergate burglar Frank Sturgis, who revealed that one of the reasons for breaking into the Democratic National Committee headquarters was a hidden pedophile book which was supposed to have a list of politicians caught in the deluge. We are vehemently enveloped by a strong sense of foreboding. According to David Berkowitz the Process Church provided children for sex at parties held by wealthy people in Westchester, Manhattan, Connecticut and Long Island. Berkowitz informed Terry that one of these parties were held at Roy Cohn's house in Connecticut. Additionally, two further witnesses maintained that occasionally present at these parties were a Yonkers judge, at least two Westchester county politicians, a high ranking New York state politician, a celebrated but later murdered physician, a Nobel Prize winning doctor, and two aides to then Mayor of New York City, Abraham Beam. What if an organization existed providing bold connections between the most infamous serial killers in American history, various satanic cult groups, well versed in occult principles, with deep ties to elite secret societies and sinister covert action, wielding insidious clandestine operational methods? Have we largely been conditioned to oversimplify the underlying motivations driving such irrational human action as disturbing and evil, evil and serial ritual murder? Whether it be through calculated deception or the desperate need for a plausible explanation, the end result remains the same. This week we set out looking for the truth, only to find the truth almost too frightening to contemplate. Into this abyss we reluctantly walk, not knowing we have vastly underestimated the scope of the ultimate evil.
