Now when we pass National Defense Authorization act, when we fund our military, it's going to just be funding Israel's military so they don't have to explicitly give the money to them. So that's. And Ro Khanna is against this Ro Khanna who I'll join with anyone to do good and no one to do wrong. So when Ro Khanna is on the right side of something, I'm with him. And when he's on the wrong side of something like the Ukraine war, I'm going to call him out. Okay? And he also didn't stand up during force to vote, which was a big heartbreaker. So I had big hopes for Ro Khanna and every once in a while he comes through and this is one of them. So he proposed a measure called section 224. The house today voted on a new measure to fuse elements of the Israeli and US militaries, particularly the cyber weapons front. Section 224 as it is known. It includes the. Okay, but then Ro Khanna introduced an amendment to strip it from the bill. So let's just watch a little bit of Ro Khanna's speech telling people why they should agree with him and strip this from the bill.

So, so basically what they're doing, just to let you know what's exactly happening, this is basically Israel saying, well, rather than me robbing your house, I'm just going to make it my house instead, you know, to save you from the extra paperwork.

This provision, the provision will allow us to expand and accelerate bilateral defense technology research, development, testing.

For example, last year's NDA fully funded U S Israel cooperative missile defense programs including Iron Dome, ARRW and David Sling as well as authorized funding to expand cooperation with Israel Israel on counter UAS funding to expand cooperation with Israel, continue US Israel anti tunnel cooperation program and establish a U S Israel Defense Industrial based working group to evaluate opportunities for greater collaboration on defense production. This initiative builds on that momentum by facilitating the transition of cutting edge technologies from research and development into procurement and acquisition pathways as well as directing the U S based co production and manufacturing partnerships. Over the last week we've seen an incorrect uninformed narrative shared by many members of this of the House on this committee that section 224 would merge US and Israel militaries together. Provision clearly outlines that integration here means integrating useful technologies into US Systems, programs of record and acquisition pipelines. The bill in no way places US Forces under Israeli command nor places Israeli troops under US Command. We even require the Department of War to make available on a public website detailed information on any cooperative efforts including a description of how these efforts contribute to U.S. technological and military supremacy. Additionally, we have included a section that requires the protection of sensitive technology in US national security interests. Those stating that Section 224 is a military merger by merger removing US sovereign command simply have not read or do not want to understand this provision. By supporting section 224 we can leverage combat tested innovations to close our own capability gaps in stockpiles and ensure the US And Israel remain in the technologically advanced fighting force on the earth. I strongly urge my colleagues to vote yes or to vote no on this amendment and vote for 224 with that, Mr. Chairman, I yield back.

The United States should have the same standards for Israel as we do for everyone else. If any other country in the world had been credibly accused of violating U.S. and international law again and again, of killing tens of thousands of civilians, of blocking food and medicine from reaching a starving population, we would not be moving to deepen and permanently expand our military ties with them. And yet, that is exactly what section 224 of this bill proposes. Since October of 2023, the Gaza Health has counted more than 70,000 Palestinians killed in Gaza, a number that the Israeli military itself has now reportedly accepted. Another 1079 Palestinians, at least 235 of them children, have been killed in the west bank. Settler violence has reached unprecedented levels. And the Israeli security Cabinet has approved 34 settlements at west bank, another violation of international law. But even against that backdrop, section 224 would institutionalize and expand u. S. Military integration beyond anything in the history of the relationship, fusing our defense industries across research, production and emerging technologies. And for my colleagues who say that this vote is actually not about the actual provision, it is emerging technology is not an abstraction. It means cyber. And that is one field where we have already had to act against an Israeli firm for turning its tools on us. In 2021, the Commerce Department blacklisted NSL Group, the maker of Pegasus spyware, for malicious cyber activity against U.S. interests after its software was used to target government officials and journalists. Two administrations from both parties left it on that list. And that same company is right now trying to buy its way into the American market. Fusing our defense and technology sectors together permanently with no conditions in the exact area where we have already been burned is reckless on its own terms. And it would do it through a must pass bill with almost no oversight and with none of the human rights conditions that govern the rest of our security assistance. We already have laws on the books that tell us what to do in this situation. The Leahy law prohibits assistance to foreign military that have committed gross violations of human rights. The foreign assistance act prohibits arms transfers to countries that are restricting U.S. humanitarian aid. And Israel has been consistently blocking and restricting humanitarian assistance. These laws exist and they're not being followed or enforced. And instead of demanding enforcement, this committee is proposing reward that that conduct. This committee should enforce the laws we've already passed and condition offensive weapons as those laws require, not permanently entrench our militaries together with no strings attached. A clear majority of Americans, 60%, already oppose sending more military aid to Israel. They will not support this, and neither should we. I urge my colleagues to support this amendment to strike Section two to four.

The 5,000 spectators that will sit with a view of the Octagon were invited by the fight promotion, the Trump administration or our active military members. One person that will not be an audience is middleweight champion Sean Strickland. According to the outspoken fighter, he's banned from attending. On Wednesday, Strickland was asked by a fan on Instagram why he was banned from the historic event. First of all, I guess Sean Strickland was not informed that anybody who was capable of actually bringing a fight is banned from entering any political institution in America. Ok.

That's what they make you think that this lawsuit is about. So they. And so if they win it, they go, look, we won. The court agrees with us. By the way, they did sue two journalists over this already and they won the first cut, but then the court overturned it. So the appeals court overturned their win in the courts of two people saying that Brigitte was born a male. So just to let you know, the French courts now on the side of the journalists, not on the side of the Macrons. So, ok, so that's what. So this is what they're doing. This is their game. Their game is to sue over a technicality and then try to do make everyone believe they're suing over the big issue, which they're not.

Plus, by the way, those are only the emails that came from Jeffrey's vacation email. So most of the stuff, like all the videotapes and all the stuff that he's been hiding he was given heads up, by the way, hey, the feds are coming to raid your house, hide your stuff. So he did. And he's hidden stuff all over the country and storage containers and storage lockers that they never searched. His ranch in New Mexico. Right. Isn't that where it is? So now that we all know Iran has nukes multiple. Now they vote on the war. No, that's not even a vote on the war.

And by the way, nuclear war is like the third deadliest thing I'm afraid of in a world with Bill Gates ticks. Here's, here's what happened. The House offered a rare rebuke to President Donald Trump on Wednesday, passing a Democrat led measure to end his war with Iran over objections from Republican leadership.

It was one of the, one of the, of two Democrat led measures opposed by White House that advanced in the GOP led House. So the GOP has the control of the House. The Iran War Powers Resolution offered by Representative Gregory Meeks of New York, the top Democrat on the Foreign Affairs Committee, had been heading for a vote before the House left for its Memorial day recess on May 21, but it was abruptly pulled from the floor when it appeared that too many Republicans were absent to defeat it.

Oh, were they vacationing in Israel?

[Jimmy Dore]

I guess so. So they were afraid it was going to pass before Memorial Day, so they took it off. On Wednesday, it did pass. It passed 215 to 208, with four Republicans joining the Democrats and voting yes. Those Republicans were Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania, Thomas Massey of Kentucky, Tom. Oh, that guy. He was never loyal to Trump. Tom Barrett of Michigan, and Warren Davidson of Ohio. The resolution directs Trump to remove US Armed forces from hostilities with Iran unless Congress votes to declare war or authorizes the use of military force against the Middle east nation. It would not force him to end the conflict, however, and is a symbolic expression of disapproval. So it's nothing.

Take that. It's not even censure.

[Jimmy Dore]

Not even censure. It's just a rebuking.

[Andrew]

What are the toothless things they can do? They're censure. There's writing a letter or something.

[Jimmy Dore]

Yeah. Hey, what can we do that won't actually end the war or do anything to stop Trump from doing this? Earlier this year, Republicans rejected three other attempts to pass a war powers resolution.

[Andrew]

Wow. Well, this is a real country.

[Jimmy Dore]

The most recent vote ended in a 212 to 212 tie.

[Andrew]

That was good game, guys.

[Jimmy Dore]

And the Democrats celebrated that, saying, more Americans are turning against the war and it was only a matter of time before they would be successful.

[Andrew]

We just need one more to turn against it, and we're going.

[Jimmy Dore]

That was. But I'm pretty. I'm pretty sure that was a real vote. That would have actually been the War Powers resolution, which this is just nothing.

[Andrew]

Right.

[Jimmy Dore]

I'm pretty sure. Correct me if I'm wrong in the chat on this.

What? The war will continue. I mean, although Iran has those nukes. But I say let's keep going. I'm into the sunk cost fallacy myself.

Wednesday's vote gives momentum for the resolution in the Senate, which had already advanced its own War Powers resolution on the floor last month, but had not yet held a final vote.

[Andrew]

The Senate version has teeth, however, Kurt, and would require Trump to end the war without congressional approval. So that's how you know it's not going to pass.

[Andrew]

Yeah, I mean, we can just move on from this point,

but it would need to pass the House and then Trump could veto it anyway.

[Andrew]

Right. And meanwhile, Mike Johnson's on a grinder date.

[Jimmy Dore]

The House resolution was opposed by Speaker Mike Johnson and most Republicans who complained that it undermines Trump and his top negotiators at a moment when they are trying to secure a nuclear deal with Iran. Guess what? You're not getting one. You're not getting a nuclear. They already got a nuke. They already got it.

[Andrew]

So gas prices are higher than Biden and there's a nuclear. Mission accomplished.

[Jimmy Dore]

Mission accomplished. And yeah, gas prices are through the roof and only going higher because the, the reason why gas hasn't gone to $10 a gallon so far is because they've been burning through the reserve oil that they have and that's almost over.

[Andrew]

And we're certainly not going to take any of the oil from the oil. Oligarchs are sending it away and use it for our own country like some dirty commies would.

That's right. Foreign Affairs Chairman Brian Mast, a representative of Florida, called Wednesday's action just a total BS vote. So he's finally found a BS vote while Sherlock Holmes level.

I think there's no Democrat, no Republican that can tell you what forces they would want pulled from Iran. There's really nothing they actually want pulled from there. They just want a stupid political vote, which is what this is. Mass said on Wednesday this weakens the President's hands as he's negotiating with Iran. There is no negotiation. Iran is not negotiating. They are giving you ultimatums. We're not going to open the Strait of Hormuz unless you do A, B and C. They're not, they're not even negotiating because when they were right before Trump started the war on February 28, they were almost had a deal and then Trump killed the negotiators and started a war.

But Trump, while Trump was handcuffed to a toilet while his wife's getting pounded by Bibi. That's what I thought.

So Iran is done with the negotiating. They already have nukes.

Isn't the nuke weakening the President's hand more than the the rebuking?
