The dashboard on your car provides all sorts of indicators for what's actually going on with your car. When the needle is close to that letter “e” it's time to get some gas, right? Well your walk with Jesus is no different. Anger and shortness with your family members is a dashboard light of your spiritual life. Indicating that you haven't spent enough time with Jesus. Apr 10Tap to summarizeYou know my past was riddled with addiction. I tried everything to be sober. I went to NA, AA, CA. You name it, I tried it, and I'd stay sober for a few months at a time. But I would always go back to my addiction, and while there's nothing intrinsically wrong with these programs, in the absence of a connection with Jesus they are just self-control exercises, and in the end there'll be a lot of sober people still in hell. My life was forever changed by a single encounter with Jesus. This is Pastor Ben's point today. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. But no one can stand up to the Holy Standard of God. God in heaven requires complete perfection to enter heaven, and you're probably thinking well then what am I supposed to do?
