Anxiety - it's tough to define it. It can mean so many different things to so many people. It can be debilitating, or it can be a minor inconvenience. But one thing's clear. However we experience anxiety, it's not a positive feeling! This year's theme for Mental Health Awareness Week is anxiety so, for this solo episode, I share my experiences, tips and thoughts on anxiety and explain why 'awareness' simply isn't enough when it comes to mental health in 2023. Opening up - it's one thing we've all struggled with. Not only that, it's a struggle particularly associated by men. One man on a mission to change that is Matt O'Neill, my guest on Modern Men this week. Matt is the host of an incredible mental health podcast, Make Time to Talk, which I featured on in March. On this episode, he talks about his early mental health experiences, why taking time for yourself is more than OK and what made him want to start his podcast. I've kept in touch with Matt on a weekly basis since we first met and it's a pleasure to be sharing our rather similar journeys into the mental health space. I wish Matt and his podcast the absolute best! If you think someone could take something positive from this episode, why not share it? Plus, remember to like and rate the episode and follow Modern Men so you don’t miss the next one. Thank you for listening and take care.
