Medicus Pharma Chief Medical Officer Dr Faisal Mehmud joined Steve Darling from Proactive to discuss the company's receipt of Investigational New Drug (IND) authorization from the United Arab Emirates Department of Health – Abu Dhabi for its PRECISION-E2 Phase 2a clinical trial evaluating Teverelix® in women with moderate-to-severe symptomatic endometriosis. Mehmud said the authorization follows the Department of Health's comprehensive review of the company's chemistry, manufacturing and controls (CMC), non-clinical, clinical, and safety data, resulting in approval for the study to proceed, subject to final site-specific Institutional Review Board and ethics approvals. The PRECISION-E2 trial is a prospective, randomized, placebo-controlled Phase 2a study that will enroll approximately 84 women across multiple investigational sites in the UAE. The study will evaluate the pharmacodynamics, safety, tolerability, clinical activity, and exploratory genomic biomarkers of Teverelix®, a long-acting GnRH antagonist. Management believes the study marks an important milestone in its women's health strategy and positions Teverelix® among the first genomics-guided precision medicine programs designed to identify women with endometriosis who are most likely to benefit from targeted therapy. Endometriosis is a chronic estrogen-dependent inflammatory disease affecting approximately one in ten women of reproductive age worldwide, and Medicus believes the PRECISION-E2 study could help advance a more personalized treatment approach for patients with moderate-to-severe disease. #proactiveinvestors #nasdaq #mdcx #tsxv #mdcx #pharma #ClinicalTrials #Phase2 #Teverelix #Endometriosis #ClinicalTrials #WomensHealth #PrecisionMedicine #Biotech #DrugDevelopment #HealthcareInnovation #Phase2Trial

American Rare Earths CEO Mark Wall joined Steve Darling from Proactive to provide an update on the company's NASDAQ listing strategy, confirming the board remains committed to securing a U.S. listing while evaluating the most effective pathway to maximize shareholder value. Wall said the company is assessing several options, including a NASDAQ compliance listing, a U.S. initial public offering (IPO) with a concurrent NASDAQ listing, and other U.S. listing structures suited to a developer of strategic critical minerals assets. A leading North American financial advisor has been engaged to evaluate transaction structures, market timing, and investor positioning. In preparation for a U.S. listing, American Rare Earths is advancing its PCAOB audit with BDO Audit Pty Ltd and converting the Halleck Creek mineral resource to the SEC's Regulation S-K 1300 reporting standard. Management said these steps will position the company to move quickly once a preferred listing structure has been selected. Wall also highlighted the strategic importance of Executive Order 14415, recently signed by the U.S. President, which aims to strengthen domestic critical mineral supply chains by limiting waivers that have allowed defense contractors to source certain materials from foreign suppliers. The company believes the order enhances demand for domestically produced rare earth materials and strengthens the investment case for its Halleck Creek Rare Earths Project in Wyoming. Management said a NASDAQ listing would better align the company with its U.S.-based flagship asset, broaden access to U.S. institutional investors, improve market visibility, and support ongoing engagement with government agencies involved in defense, energy, and advanced manufacturing supply chains. #proactiveinvestors #americanrareearthslimited #asx #arr #otcqx #arrnf #adr #amrry #wyomingrareinc #HalleckCreek #RareEarths #CriticalMinerals #NASDAQ #HalleckCreek #DefenseSupplyChain #EnergyTransition #Mining #Wyoming #MiningNews

M2i Global CEO Alberto Rosende joined Steve Darling from Proactive to discuss the company's signing of a non-binding strategic collaboration agreement with Evrensel Impact Group (EIG) to explore the identification, evaluation, and potential development of critical mineral projects across Africa. Rosende said the collaboration will leverage EIG's expanding network of government relationships, strategic partnerships, and commercial engagements to help identify opportunities aligned with M2i Global's critical minerals strategy. The agreement establishes a framework for evaluating and advancing future projects across the continent. EIG has recently expanded its presence in Mozambique, Nigeria, Botswana, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Zambia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the Central African Republic, while also pursuing new opportunities in Sierra Leone, Ghana, Togo, Cameroon, and other African jurisdictions. According to Rosende, EIG's discussions with governments have revealed strong demand for experienced international partners capable of delivering responsible resource development, long-term investment, and commercially viable critical minerals projects, creating opportunities that align with M2i Global's growth objectives. The collaboration is non-binding and serves as a strategic framework for future cooperation. Any specific commercial transactions or project agreements will be subject to further due diligence, negotiations, definitive documentation, and customary regulatory approvals. #proactiveinvestors #m2iglobalinc #otcqb #mtwo #SecurityMatters #CriticalMinerals #ResourceDevelopment #EnergyTransition #StrategicPartnership #CriticalMaterials #MiningNews #SustainableMining

The Royal Mint private wealth consultant Stuart O'Reilly tells Proactive's Stephen Gunnion that gold's core drivers remain firmly in place even after its pullback from record highs, citing geopolitical tensions, shifting global alliances, and sustained central bank buying since Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Central banks, he says, increasingly treat gold as a political hedge in uncertain times. O'Reilly broke down gold's role as a portfolio diversifier: "It's a good diversifier that doesn't drag too much on a portfolio when times are good in the stock market, but can help shield some of the shocks in a bear market." He also flagged a shift in who's buying: more younger investors and women turning to physical gold, alongside industry moves toward recycled gold and stronger provenance standards. O'Reilly closed by outlining gold's three core portfolio roles: diversification, liquidity and long-term returns; and the vaulting options available to investors holding physical bullion. Alkane Resources Ltd (ASX: ALK, OTC: ALKEF) managing director and CEO Nic Earner talked with Proactive about the substantial increase in the Mineral Resource at the Storheden gold deposit in northern Sweden and its potential to become a satellite mining area for the nearby Björkdal operation. The updated estimate comprises an Indicated Resource of 1.07 million tonnes grading 2.51 grams per tonne gold for 87,000 ounces and an Inferred Resource of 1.85 million tonnes grading 2.11 grams per tonne for 125,000 ounces. This takes Storheden’s total contained gold resource to approximately 212,000 ounces. The update also delivers Storheden’s first Indicated Resource, while inferred contained gold has increased by around 26% from the previous estimate of 99,000 ounces. Earner said the increase in both resource size and grade supported Alkane Resources’ strategy of identifying supplementary ore sources capable of raising the overall grade processed through the Björkdal mill. Björkdal processes around 1.4 million tonnes per annum and produced slightly more than 41,000 ounces of gold in the previous year. Alkane Resources is allocating capital during FY2027 to begin development towards Storheden, with the company targeting potential mining from around 2029, subject to receiving the necessary environmental permit. Earner also discussed recent high-grade drilling, the narrow-vein nature of the mineralisation and ongoing investment in development, exploration, equipment and tailings capacity at Björkdal.

Actinogen Medical Ltd managing director and CEO Dr Steven Gourlay talked with Proactive about the company’s June quarter progress, including preparations for the pivotal XanaMIA Alzheimer’s disease trial topline results expected in November 2026. Gourlay said the fully enrolled Phase 2b/3 trial remained on schedule, with treatment, follow-up and data-cleaning activities continuing across participating sites. He described the upcoming readout as “a potentially transformational event for the company and for the clinical science, and for patients with Alzheimer’s all around the world.” An independent Data Monitoring Committee completed its third review of safety data from all 247 trial participants and recommended that the study continue without amendment. Actinogen Medical ended the quarter with $16.7 million in cash. Chief Financial Officer Will Souter said the company’s current funding position was expected to support operations beyond the XanaMIA results and into mid-2027. He also highlighted potential additional funding sources, including an anticipated research and development tax rebate and the possible exercise of listed and unlisted options. Gourlay also discussed positive depression trial data published in the British Journal of Psychiatry and the company’s continuing engagement with regulators, including the US Food and Drug Administration and the European Medicines Agency. Critical Mineral Resources PLC (LSE:CMRS, FRA:98J) CEO Charlie Long tells Proactive's Stephen Gunnion that recent drilling at the Agadir Melloul copper project in Morocco confirms the mineralised system continues, building on the company's understanding of the resource despite normal variability between drill holes. Long said the focus is on building a continuous, mineable resource rather than judging individual holes in isolation; the company's internal estimate already stands at around 25,000 tonnes of copper. Ahead of the maiden JORC resource, work is progressing in parallel on metallurgical testing, pilot plant preparation, process flow sheet design, plant site selection, tailings planning and water management studies. Detailed mine scheduling will follow once the formal resource model is in place. Long said the maiden JORC resource will be a key milestone for institutional investors and specialist mining funds, even as the company remains confident in its internal model: "We know we've got a resource already... the ultimate size of the resource is going to grow over time. It's just a matter of drilling." Watch the full interview for more on Critical Mineral Resources' strategy, upcoming milestones and development plans for Agadir Melloul. EMV Capital (AIM:EMVC, FRA:NTK1) CEO Dr Ilian Iliev and AMR Bio chair Nigel Brooksby joined Proactive's Stephen Gunnion to discuss progress on XF-73, the antimicrobial drug candidate advancing towards Phase 3, and the milestones that could define the company's next stage of growth. Iliev said EMV Capital is supporting AMR Bio through its Venture Build programme, combining financial backing with hands-on value creation, and believes the next nine to twelve months could represent an important inflection point for the asset. Brooksby outlined preparations for a Type B meeting with the FDA to discuss the final Phase 3 programme, saying regulatory alignment would significantly de-risk development and increase pharma industry interest. He highlighted XF-73's advantages over the current standard of care, Mupirocin: "XF is the new gold standard, will deliver a 90% reduction in Staphylococcus aureus in just four doses over 24 hours. And we've clearly demonstrated zero resistance after over 55 passages. So it's not just an incremental improvement, it's a different weapon entirely." Iliev added that reaching Phase 3 readiness within two years of formation would validate EMV Capital's Venture Build model, with capital-light funding approaches already under consideration for the Phase 3 programme. EMV Capital (AIM:EMVC, FRA:NTK1) CEO Dr Ilian Iliev and ProAxsis managing director Dr Louise Ryan Murphy joined Proactive's Stephen Gunnion to discuss the company's commercial transformation and the opportunity emerging from its Imperial College London COPD study. Iliev said EMV Capital has supported ProAxsis since its Queen's University Belfast spin-out, highlighting progress towards operational breakeven and a recent restructuring to broaden US investor access. Ryan Murphy explained that ProAxsis has repositioned as a commercial protease biomarker-led research company, providing kit sales, clinical services and bespoke R&D for pharmaceutical, biotech and research organisations using its patented ProteaseTag technology. The company is collaborating with six global pharmaceutical companies and supported development of Insmed's FDA-approved BRINSUPRI treatment for non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis. The near-term priority is the Imperial College COPD study evaluating its NEATstik point-of-use diagnostic test. "The Imperial College London study is a very important milestone study for our expansion plans into the COPD market, which has the potential to increase our revenue by order of magnitude," Ryan Murphy said. A successful outcome could also open the path to a future home self-test and entry into the regulated diagnostics market. lika PLC (AIM:IKA, OTCQX:ILIKF, FRA:I8A) CEO Graeme Purdy joined Proactive's Stephen Gunnion to discuss commercial progress across the company's Stereax and Goliath solid-state battery programmes. Purdy said Ilika has reached a significant milestone with Stereax, having recognised around £100,000 in revenue from the sale of commercial-grade electrodes to Cirtec for incorporation into the M300 product, due to launch later this year. A second income stream through product royalties is expected once devices reach end customers. "We have actually transitioned into a product revenue generating business," he said. On Goliath, Purdy said 10Ah prototype cells have been shipped to OEM and commercial customers for evaluation. While originally developed for electric vehicles, the prototypes have attracted strong interest from defence and e-bike markets, with Ilika now prioritising commercialisation in those non-EV segments. Key milestones to watch over the next 12 to 18 months include deeper Cirtec collaboration, Stereax integration into medical device platforms, additional Goliath commercial agreements, early non-EV revenues and progress towards Ilika's first licensing agreement.
