In this verse I hop in the booth w/ Elijah Bryant who has had one helluva start to his career. After leaving BYU his junior season he has went on to do some amazing things such as: Finishing Top 🥈 in scoring in 🇮🇱 in his rookie season while making the WinnerLeague Final Four, Won an Israeli League 🏆 w/ Maccabi Tel Aviv 🇮🇱, NBA 🏆 w/ the Milwaukee Bucks and a Euroleague 🏆 w/ Anadolou Efes 🇹🇷. He has done all of this in only 4 FULL SEASONS 😱! All of this while being extremely dedicated in the regiment of taking care of his body early on in his career. It says a lot for one to be that focused, especially given all of his current success. But he finds away to keep working, or as he puts it, "I'm always looking for something new to give me that extra advantage, however slightly." We take a look at where his mind, body, and spirit were along each one of his stops. Learning about the adaptations, adjustments, and sacrifices he and his family had to go through along this journey. What it means to impact winning, removing ego and taking new roles, and not being afraid to ask his higher ranking teammates for advice. All of this and so much more, so stop reading this and just press play already ▶️. In this verse I get back in the booth w/ another good friend and fierce competitor in Chris Babb. The former Iowa State 🌪 has played 10 yrs professionally w/stops in the G-League (2x), 🇩🇪 (2x), 🇷🇺 (2x), 🇹🇷, 🇬🇷, and most recently 🇮🇱. Where he is having his best season averaging 18.1 PPG, 51% FG, 38% 3FG (8.3/GM), 84% FT, 2.9 AST & 1.1 STL. He was voted an Israeli All-⭐️ along wit finishing top 3 in MVP voting. Like other guest in this season, we zeroed in on how Chris took care of his body throughout his career and how that continues to evolve as he gets older. We take a look at what adjustments he has made at each stop and in each country. We take a look at his mental fortitude and approach to the details of what works best for him and so much more. It says a lot to have your best season overseas in year 10 at age 32, it’s not a fluke, just concentrated work. In this Verse I get in the booth with one of my very good friends and certified overseas pro's in the one and only Josh Owens. The former Stanford Cardinal has played in the D-League, 🇮🇱 (2x),🇮🇹 (2x), 🇹🇷 (2x), 🇬🇷 , and 🇫🇷 where he has claimed many bodies while taking extremely good care of his body. He has been an Israeli All-Star, Israeli Cup Champion, and multiple time dunk participant all while making the playoffs every season he's played. We talk about where that mindset started, his in-season vs. offseason regiment, the changes he made adjusting to playing overseas, his approach to consistency, the difficulty of being an undersized big overseas and so much more. It's no easy task, by any stretch of the imagination to play overseas for 10 years, but Mr. Owen's dedication, commitment, and consistency to his body allowed him to build resiliency and to fight through any injury no matter what country he was in or what adversity he may have faced. He offers up some honest truths and great advice for soon to be pros as well as current, another verse you will enjoy and don't want to miss. We touch on his background and where he began and then really focus on how he managed to be able to come back year after year and still be productive from winning a BBL 🏆 and MVP in 2009 to being named an ALL-⭐️ almost 10 years later. What it took to maintain, how he prepared in the off-season, things he wish he would have done differently, the transition from college to pro, his European favorites and so much more.
